After his acclaimed victory at the licensing of the Oldenburg Show Jumping Breeding Association (OS), Conthalou completed his 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf with expected highlights for his jumping manner (9.0), scope (9.0), willingness to perform (9.5), rideability (9.0), temperament (9.25) and overall impression (9.0). With a total score of 8.86, he was only narrowly beaten in the strong field of 35 candidates and finished as second Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test.

The dam, Faside Brittany, is sired by Bordeaux descends from one of the most successful mare lines in the world. He won the KWPN licensing in 2009 then won the stallion performance test in Ermelo. In 2012, he came 4th in the World Championships for 6 year old dressage horses in Verden with Eva Moller. He is currently Holland's most successful dressage stallion of his age-group. Bordeaux's sire, United, finished his performance test in Ermelo with the highest results ever recorded at the time. United's sire Krack C and damsire Partout were both international grand prix horses under Anky van Grunsven. In the Brilliant Ring at the 2011 Oldenburg licensing, 4 of the top 6 mares were by San Amour. San Amour has sired more than 30 licensed sons, including the very Santo Domingo.

San Amour is a son of Sandro Hit who was Bundeschampion, World Champion of six-year-old dressage horses and trained up to grand prix. Sandro Hit produced many auction highlights, more than 180 licensed stallions and more than 50 grand prix horses. The Rio 2016 Olympics were especially impressive for Sandro Hit - Showtime FRH was part of the German gold-medal-winning team in dressage, and Santano II was team bronze medallist with Christopher Burton (Australia) in eventing. In the next generation Rosewould's sire is BWBS Champion Stallion Rosenburg. He is by Rohdiamant (Rubinstein) who was the champion dressage horse of his generation with a dressage index of 150. The mare line Kalinka is very famous; she has produced a top priced auction horse in Germany, with many Champion mares in her family, she is by Ramino (Ramiro) who was Champion stallion at his performance test and went on to compete Internationally in Show Jumping. Rosewould is out of a part bred Hanoverian mare Obia, who is by the International Grade 'A' Hanoverian stallion Odysseus. He won the Puissance at his Stallion grading in Denmark at 6'6" and was reserve Champion the following year. Obia is the dam of Furst in Line and Furst Insperation by the Griffins stallion Furst Way and also produced Furst Impression by Furst Heinrich. In 2012, Foundation was awarded the dressage Hauptprämie from the Oldenburg Verband for the best first foal crop. Foundation has sired 13 licensed sons and numerous highly placed Bundeschampionat finalists.
The licensed Feuertanz was the 2016 Hanoverian Champion of 3-year-old stallions in Verden, Ferrari was Oldenburg Champion of 4-year-old stallions in Rastede and sold for the price of €1.5million, the PSI price record of the year.

The dam is by Sir Donnerhall who won his performance test and was awarded his generation's Hauptprämire, awarded for the best first crop of foals sired by stallions licensed in the same year.
In 2006, Sir Donnerhall was 5-year-old Bundeschampion, and went on to be Vice World Young Horse Champion. The German FN breeding valuation ranks Sir Donnerhall I as one of the best sires of dressage horses with 150 points.
Sir Donnerhall's is out of the Brilliant Ring mare Contenance D. He received the highest dressage index score ever awarded to date of 163 points in his 70-day test.
Sir Donnerhall's sire Sandro Hit was Bundeschampion and World Champion as a 6-year-old in 1999 and 10 of Sandro Hit's progeny also won the Bundeschampionat.
At the Rio Olympics 2016 his son Showtime FRH was part of the German gold medal-winning team, and 6th individually, while Santano II was team bronze medallist in eventing for Australia, finishing 5th individually.
Sir Donnerhall's damsire Donnerhall appears in the pedigree of almost every top-level dressage horse.
He won numerous international grands prix, including team golds at the 1994 & 1998 World Equestrian Games and the 1997 European Championships, and two individual bronze medals (1994 and 1997).
Donnerhall ranked inside the top 10 of the WBFSH Sire Rankings for seven consecutive seasons (2008-2014).
Donnerhall's offspring include Damon Hill, Donnerschlag, Donnersong, Don Schufro, Don Principe and Donnperignon and De Niro.
Sir Donnerhall is a consistent sire of performance horses and auction price highlights. In 2012 the Sir Donnerhall son Sa Couer was 5-year-old Bundeschampion, and then sold for €2.3 million at the PSI auction.
Sa Coeur was double World Young Horse Champion under Eva Moller in 2012 and 2013, and is now national champion at inter I under Britain's Michael Eilberg.
In the same year, Sir Heinrich was Oldenburg champion 4-year-old and Vice Bundeschampion, and Stanford was bronze medallist of the 3-year-old stallions.
In the PSI auction, Sir Caramello, Sieberstien and South Coast have all commanded half-million euro bids. Sir Donnerhall has several progeny competing at grand prix.
