Lynwood Fine Art, Annie, as she is known to us has great eventing breeding by Future Gravitas x Granfenstolz / G Sire Kenzo on Dam side. Grafenstolz being one of the leading Event sire’s in the country.
7yo mare, super bold and careful fun jumping horse. Annie is a kind and genuine mare with bags of ability over a fence. No novices please- decent rider and set up for this scopey horse to continue her eventing/SJ education.
Out jumping clear 90cm/1m BS &Unaff with tons of ability and range to successfully travel up the levels. Without rider injury would easily be out at Novice BE/ SJ Newcomers now. 5th in first ever ODE at Aston, as green young horse- DC in the time (90cm)
Competed 2020- Arena eventing /ODE’S/ local SJ 90cm/1m. Has won several comps, her first ever AE years ago as 4yo & 90cm AE Dallas Dec 2020. Easy to take out to shows/lorry/trailer from day one. Very affectionate mare, a yard favourite.
Unexpected and sadly ongoing rider injury forced her, along with my other competition horses, to take an unplanned break in the field (March-Aug 2021) at the stud last year. Been in work since Sept 2021 and has done odd clear rounds, some unaff SJ and BS day tickets to keep her ticking over in the hope I would have recovered but that has not been the case. Sadly she is now being wasted and should be in a home that can make the most of her talented jump and enjoy competing her. I had high hopes of taking her up the eventing/SJ levels to at least Intermediate/Fox Hunter and I have no doubt she will progress to this level with the right rider in time.
She excels as a jumping horse that gives you a scopey feeling over the fence. Flat work is established but is her weakest area, which improves with schooling and correct riding. Still good enough to still get competitive scores eventing! She has a decent clean flying change each way when jumping and is well balanced. She is being sold as an eventer/SJ/all-rounder and would not suit pure dressage as it would be a waste of her exceptionally fun and careful jump and she would get very bored!
Good to hack around farm with the sheep/do gates/ open spaces alone or in company, okay with sensible traffic but village where she has hacked is busy so always took her in company. Not a problem for an experienced rider- she wouldn’t like a big lorry or tractor coming flat out towards her so still benefits from a good nanny horse for a little while longer to gain confidence with bigger noisy traffic.
Ideal competitive riders /competent amateurs’ horse or professional wanting a serious jumping machine to campaign properly and have fun up the levels / be in the placings. Hasn’t been over competed due to above rider injury last year but has been there and done everything many times and is fit and ready to take out competing now (will quickly progress BE100 /Novice with the right training)
Willing and bold bright little competition mare that really makes you smile – forwards thinking and very game but still requires producing and further educating.
Serious enquiries only. No novice riders please. Good to do everything with, excellent to handle at home and take at shows. Please see Lynwood Stud website sales page for more photos/videos
