Bruno – Exceptional 16.3hh 5yo Sports Horse with Serious Hunter Quality

Bruno is a truly eye-catching 16.3hh, 5-year-old gelding by Brunetti (Balou du Rouet) out of a Mermus R mare. He has the looks, the movement, and—most importantly—the exceptional natural ability to be a top-class Hunter and competition horse.

Bruno has been introduced to Quorn country and has proven himself an absolute machine across big country—bold, clever and incredibly scopey. He flies enormous hedges, timber, drains and trappy lines with total confidence and enthusiasm. This is a young horse with the raw bravery and natural instinct that you simply cannot teach.

Alongside his hunter talent, Bruno has made an impressive start eventing and showjumping. He’s confidently schooling and competing around 100/Novice-style questions, has jumped BS (BN & Discovery) on a ticket with great promise, and received excellent feedback in his BYEH class. He has a cracking technique and endless scope still to come as he strengthens and finishes maturing.

On the flat, Bruno produces a smart, consistent test with three expressive, correct paces, frequently scoring around 70%. Judges love him, and he always looks the part.

He hacks brilliantly alone or in company, is excellent in traffic, and has behaved impeccably on fun rides and hunt rides. Shoe, box, clip—he’s easy in all departments.

Rondo is a really lovely and easy horse to have on the yard. She’s incredibly hassle free to be around and not ‘mareish’ at all.

She’s been really easy to settle into our routine and just slots in. She will be a great addition to anyone’s string over the winter ready for next season. She’s a super horse for many jobs.

She has competed upto 110 with amateur riders. She has a nice balanced canter, snaffle mouthed and takes you nicely to a fence. She’s not spooky or silly.

A nice easy and good looking well bred mare, super contender for a competitive amateur.

FS Mayday Duchess, known at home as Darcy, is a stunning 16.1hh 4-year-old homebred mare who oozes presence and quality. Beautifully put together, with plenty of blood and scope, she always catches the eye wherever she goes.

Darcy was broken and produced this year and has just started her British Showjumping career — showing huge promise for the future. She is the perfect type to continue up the showjumping ranks or to develop into a top eventing prospect.
