TALLULAH – Exceptional Homebred 5YO Black Mare

A very genuine and extremely difficult sale due to personal circumstances. Tallulah has been lovingly homebred and owned privately all her life, and we are only seeking the very best home for this much-loved mare.

Tallulah is an exceptionally well-bred 4-year-old black mare by Campagne Z (Calido) out of a Namelus R mare, giving her outstanding breeding for the showjumping sport. She is a striking young horse with quality, presence, blood, and a lovely athletic way of going. Alongside her jumping ability, she moves well and has shown herself to be naturally bold and brave over cross-country fences, making her an exciting prospect for either showjumping or eventing.

She has recently begun her ridden production in a carefully selected professional yard, having previously been allowed plenty of time to mature naturally at home. Unlike many young horses, she was not overproduced or pushed as a youngster and has only very recently started her education.

Tallulah has already attended a couple of training shows where she has proven to be brave, careful, and genuine, giving every indication that she will develop into a very smart competition horse for the future. She absolutely loves her jumping and really enjoys her work.

She has a super temperament, loves attention, and is a forward, fun ride. As expected for her age and stage of education, she can still occasionally be spooky at things around the arena, although never at the fences. For this reason, she is not suitable for a novice rider and would benefit from someone experienced with young horses who can continue her education correctly.

This is a heartbreaking sale of a much-loved family mare, and finding her the right private home is of the utmost importance to us.

her sire Camargo has jumped to 160cm level with international rider luciana Deniz and has had a stellar career.

His father in turn , Canturano , was the last licensed son of the great Cantus I. As a five- and six-year old, Canturo competed in the Bundeschampionate finals. Aged seven he reached the finals at the World Championship for young horses in Lanaken. At eight, he won and was placed internationally at Wien, Rome, La Baule and the Swedish Derby of Falsterbo. As a nine-year-old, Canturo won in Spruce Meadows and was nominated for the Olympic Games, and in 2005 he was the winner of the prestigious Aachen grand prix. 

Damline - Camargo's dam Fit For Fun needs no introduction, as one of the best grand prix horses at top level. Under Portugal's Luciana Diniz, 'Fitti' finished 9th individually at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and has also competed at two European Championships, and a World Cup Final. Fit For Fun has won more than €600,000 on the GCT circuit alone, winning the season-finale Doha GCT Grand Prix in 2015 to take the overall 2015 title, ahead of Scott Brash and Rolf Goran-Bengtsson. Her sire For Pleasure has been described as the 'Horse of the Century'. With his suppleness, scope and attitude being reliably passed on to his foals, For Pleasure is in as much demand today as he was during the height of his career. He retired at the age of 20, having won his last ever class, the Leipzig World Cup qualifer, and having been sound for his whole career before a tendon injury aged 19. His international career was exceptional; he was on four gold-medal-winning teams for Germany; two Olympic Games (Atlanta 1996 & Sydney 2000, where they finsihed 4th individually), and two European Championships, at Hickstead in 1999 where he was 5th individually, and Donaueschingen in 2003. At Donauschingen, he also won individual bronze, the first ever individual medal for Marcus Ehning. He also won gold and silver medals at he German National Championships. His career earnings totalled over €1.8million, ahead of Milton, and his offspring have won over €2.5million between them.

An exceptionally attractive horse with so much to like—and the personality to match!

Beautifully bred by Pinecroft Disan Hieroglyphic, out of a Black Boy mare, he was bred with versatility in mind and has certainly lived up to that. This is a horse who will genuinely turn his hoof to anything—and, more importantly, be good at it!

He has competed successfully in pairs hunter trials, unaffiliated showjumping and dressage, proving himself to be a very competitive and capable allrounder. He has achieved great scores at Prelim and Novice level and is more than capable of progressing to Elementary and beyond.

He showjumps courses of 1m with ease and has all the ability to affiliate. He isn’t strong, is straightforward to a fence and is forgiving if his rider meets one on a slightly imperfect stride. Fillers, planks and spooky fences don’t bother him, he simply gets on with the job.

He has also done plenty of cross-country and would make a super grassroots event horse for someone wanting to enjoy all three phases.

Out hacking, he is an absolute pleasure. He hacks alone and in company, is reliable in traffic and sensible in open spaces. He is equally happy going first or last and doesn’t become silly or competitive.

Good to load, shoe, clip and travel in a lorry or trailer. He is a very easy horse to handle and have around the yard.

Aggie is a lovely quality mare with all the attributes to make a fantastic all-round riding horse or dressage prospect. Attractive, well put together and with a kind, genuine temperament, she is the sort that is easy to enjoy every single day.

Aggie has a lovely pedigree, by Free Spirit, a sire that has produced a versatile progeny of showing horses, allrounders and eventers, giving rideability, quality and trainability, she is then out of a mare by Country Top Gun, a stallion respected for passing on quality, athleticism and versatility, Aggie combines excellent breeding with a wonderfully sensible outlook.

She works in three correct, balanced paces and is a responsive ride who is nicely off the leg without being sharp. She is beautifully established on the flat, taking the contact well and producing an accurate, rhythmical way of going that would make her equally enjoyable for riding club activities or someone wishing to progress further in dressage.

Jumping has not been a major focus during her current ownership, as her owners have preferred hacking and flatwork. However, she has shown plenty of natural ability over a fence, happily jumping courses and schooling comfortably around 90cm to 1m with scope to progress. She did compete in the past but hasn’t for a while.

Out hacking, Aggie is worth her weight in gold. She hacks confidently both alone and in company, is excellent in traffic, sensible in open spaces and is the sort of horse you can genuinely relax and enjoy. Whether it's a quiet lane or a fun day exploring the countryside, she is always a pleasure.

On the ground, she is exactly as you would hope. Good to catch, load, travel, shoe, clip and handle in every respect, she is an uncomplicated horse to own. She isn't mareish, doesn't have any quirks or hang-ups, and has a genuinely sweet, kind nature that makes her a favourite around the yard.

Aggie is a mare with quality, versatility and enormous potential. She has the flatwork to excel in dressage, the ability to develop into a smart jumping horse, and the temperament to be an outstanding all-round partner.
