Leo is a breathtakingly beautiful light buckskin German Warmblood colt, who has been carefully bred with performance, correctness, versatility and temperament in mind.
Leo has a pedigree that is packed with International showjumpers, eventers and dressage horses in his family, making him a true allrounder who is sure to excel in BS, BE, BD. Leo is also level-headed enough to make a quality Riding Club, showing or hunting horse for an ambitious amateur.
Leo’s sire ‘Crown’s Ace of Pearl’, known as one of Europe’s best showjumping horses, already has a huge social media following - not just as a talented stallion under his International rider Ben Thomas-Cook, but people also flock to Ace’s social media to watch him being jumped by Ben’s daughter, Ivy, who has ridden him since the age of 6. As well as his undeniable talent, Ace has a gentle and trainable temperament that is phenomenally rare in a breeding stallion.
Stallion AI said this about him, “Crown’s Ace of Pearl has everything you could ask for in a stallion: looks, bloodlines, athletic ability, temperament, trainability and conformation, characteristics inherited by his progeny”. He has also been described as having “perfect conformation”. Ace has proven himself competitively, showjumping 1m 40, he has also evented BE Novice and successfully competed in Working Hunter classes. Ace’s bravery and stability over all types of natural fence and terrain are stylishly displayed in his social media. So far, Ace has produced 4 licensed stallions and his golden babies can now be seen excelling in all spheres.
As well as having a famous Dad, Leo’s Hanoverian Mum, Divalicious (Diva), was bred by Christian Heinrich in Germany, out of a Michellino mare, My Lady, who was herself competed international dressage at Grand Prix level. Diva’s sire is the 2000 World Breeding Champion, Dimaggio, who not only sired many elite breeding stallions but his progeny can be seen competing at Olympic level in eventing as well as dressage.
This combination of proven talent, both between the boards as well as over fences will certainly make Leo an exciting prospect for eventing, where sound foundations always start with a great dressage score and end in double clears!
Equally so - Leo has all of the correctness, presence and Wow factor to make a top class horse in the show ring, perhaps as a Large Riding Horse, LW Working Hunter or side saddle prospect if that’s what he is chosen for.
Whilst Leo is elegant and athletic with his supermodel legs, he is a substantial colt who covers the ground and will mature to around 17 hh. There are very few golden buckskin horses around of Leo’s size and calibre, so he is sure to turn heads wherever he goes.
Perhaps Leo’s biggest asset is his sweet and easy-going temperament, which he gets from both of his parents. Leo is not hot or sharp, he is intelligent and easily trained, making him suitable for an amateur rider. An absolute pleasure to handle day to day, Leo was born on a busy livery yard where he is well used to cars, tractors, dogs and children. He adores people and will stand for fuss all day, given the chance.
The videos attached were taken of Leo at 5 weeks old, also his first time in our arena. He was immediately drawn to the jumps and coloured poles we had piled in the middle… and totally unphased, he popped straight over the pile of poles like he does this every day!
Leo is handled daily and he’ll be halter trained, wormed, foot trimmed, microchipped, passported and ready to go in November. Viewings most welcome.
A £1,500 deposit secures Leo’s sale, with the remaining balance due by 1st October.
