PERCY

Handsome 2016 Irish coloured cob gelding standing at 15.1hh, a nice big, solid substantial type who rides like clock work with a light snaffle mouth and beautiful balanced paces.

This gorgeous lad was sold by us in 2022 where he has been in the same home ever since, he was previously very well hunted. Percy has done dressage, showjumping, most riding club activities, lots of XC and fun rides and he’s just been a genuine family cob / pleasure type.

He jumps for fun, isn’t bothered by size, colour of type of fence and he will give you plenty of confidence when jumping, he will pop from a trot or a canter.

Percy is mannerly to handle and do, good to mount and easy in every way, his one and only floor is he does need a small amount of sedation / domesedin gel to be shod, but also has good enough feet to go barefoot.

He is absolutely beautiful to ride, will work nicely in all three paces and he’s beautifully balanced.

He is a really lovely type and he’s been loved in his home, his owner wants to find him the very best of homes so he can go on and have as much fun as she has had.

Percy is lovely to hack when alone or with others, he will go first or last, brilliant in the heaviest and busiest of traffic he’s a happy hackers dream.

He’s a real super cob in every way and the ultimate confidence giver.

Olive is a great young mare, very recently broken to ride proving to have a great temperament that could turn her hoof to any job.

She’s a fabulous mover so would look great in the dressage / showing ring but very athletic so I’m sure she’d have a great jump also.

Bred by the Tambrook stud home of many successful coloured horses.

Marley is my 8 year old KWPN cross gelding standing 16.3/17hh.

I have owned him from a 2 year old but known him from a foal so full history known.

His dam is a 17.2 KWPN jumping mare, sire 15hh sports pony (Diamond storm Murphy) by the prolific Stormhill Mink.

Marley has excellent conformation, straight moving with no lumps or bumps. He has 3 exceptionally balanced paces and is very agile and athletic to go with it. He schools beautifully from the seat and soft to the hand. He find lateral work very easy, leg yield, shoulder in and simple flying changes, medium and extended trot. He is as soft as can be and could have a piece of thread from my hand to his bit.

Marley will hack out alone or in company and has never bucked, reared, bolted etc. although he may have a little spook at things, he always goes past ANYTHING.

I have had Marley out to unaffiliated dressage and jumping along with many clinics and camps covering jumping and XC where he excels. He is keen and loves to jump with a bold, brave and careful jump. I have schooled him upto 105cm which he does with ease (but I am no showjumper) and told he is a 120cm horse all day long. At the last clinic (Somerford park) the instructor told me she expected my eventing debut by the end of this season.

He is ready to progress his career now with someone who can take him out places and do more with him.

Although he is a safe horse, he is not a novice ride and requires a knowledgeable rider as he is sensitive to the aids and needs very little leg (but in no way silly). Like I say, he has never bucked, bolted, reared at all,

I am sadly parting with my heart horse due to my own personal circumstances and health as he deserves to be out doing what he loves - a job!!

He has never been sick or sorry a day in his life and open to any vettings etc. he is perfect to load and travel. Great with farrier (I have him unshod as he has great feet so never been shod) perfect to trim and clip. I only do half face as he doesnt like clippers around his ears.

No vices at all!!

Upto date with teeth, back and vaccinations. Lots of pics and vids available.

This is the hardest decision I have had to make and would love to see Marley go to a home ideally to event but with a varied job as he deserves the best.

May has an incredibly sweet friendly nature, loves attention and a pamper session! She knows basic groundwork, has been lunged and long-reined before being turned away so needs bringing back into work.

She was bought as a project for myself as my first 4yo to bring on, however despite her normally very laid back temperament she is also proving very forward thinking and quick to learn, and will be better suited to a home with previous experience of young horses.

May currently lives on a working farm so is used to farm machinery and is unbothered by cows/sheep/peacocks. She loves people and isn't phased by children racing past her stable on bikes/scooters!

Always been perfect to load and with the farrier (currently barefoot), and is up to date with worming/vaccinations/teeth.

Very sad sale, she has all the makings of being a fantastic competition sports horse who is ready to be started and brought on in a knowledgeable home. Would equally be happy to have the winter off to settle into her new home before being started next spring.

Stunning 16.1hh 16 yo homebred gelding. Sire Country Top Dollor, dam Miss Matilda (Connemara x Welsh).

Writing this advert might break my heart……

Mr Music is homebred, he has a sensible outlook on life, incredibly correct way of going and has been my best friend.
He has three rhythmic and powerful paces. An absolute dressage schoolmaster, having competed consistantly up to BD Elementary, placed everytime at Regional Championships and placed at BD Nationals. He has 505 BD points.

He has previously evented, won numerous times at BE100 and placed top ten at Badminton Grassroots Championships.

We ve done everything together WonBE Arena Eventing National Championships, WHs, done clinics and even gone to the beach.

He hacks out alone or in company, sensible in traffic.

In recent years competitively he has focused on Bd and has achieved success after success.

I know him inside and out, he is such an easy horse to have at home or away at a competition.
His is very sensibly priced and he will only to a 5*home where he can give someone so much experience.
Full vetinerary history open to discuss and very sensibly priced in reflection of this. He is fit and well.
The home is the priority to me over the price. Please call only.

Dressage / Showing/ Hunter - Grace - ( Doreen’s Aires and Graces) 16 H , 6 years old lovely breeding ( Airborn stallion ) ISH/WB

Has done a lot of showing with her breeder , including big shows like Bath and West, we brought her in September, we have taken her to dressage clinics , PC Rallies, clear rounds

Flashy paces would excel in dressage , came 5th in first ever unaffiliated dressage

Grace works nice on the flat , hacks out well , all good travelling , farrier etc,

She is still wary of jumping over poles in the school ( from having ulcers previously) and whilst she will, is not her favourite thing so we haven’t pushed it

The stress of her first move from breeder in 2024 caused the ulcers but she has been fully treated and they haven’t returned

She has started hunting this season which she loves , will make a lovely hunter , dressage , mother daughter share , SJ will come as she was jumping 90 courses before ulcers, but needs more work , hence concentrating on hunting this season and other things will help

She is very pretty , nice breeding so showing would also be an option , my daughter is just keen on progressing more in SJ , hence her sad sale

We would love Grace to go to a lovely home which is important to us and continue training  - She isn’t the finished article but has scope to excel in a number of disciplines

She is very sweet and has lots of good points , happy to answer any questions , honest description

April has come to us to be sold on behalf of her owners and will only be sold to the very best of homes!

Approx 15.2hh rising 4year old (2022BORN) mare by MULTICOUTURE out of a Dresm Boy mother.

She’s a beautiful type and has a lovely temperament. Shes shown in hand very successfully has has won endless amounts of rosettes and sashes, she has sadly developed a splint on both front legs so she hasn’t shown since. Splints are fully formed and are purely superficial.

She has been backed and lightly ridden away over the last 6 - 8 weeks and is proving to be a real little star! She naturally l carry’s herself well in the flat and is a very good mover with great balance and naturally uphill. Shes just started poping a few small fences proving bold and brave yet super careful with great technique, she’s hacked out on a handful of occasions and has a lovely attitude towards her work.

April is a super smart intelligent mare that picks up everything asked of her very quickly and is sure to make a lovely top end riding club horse in time. All her basics are there and she’s now ready for someone to put their own stamp on her.

Her owners are looking for around £8000 but are happy to negotiate as a good home in their priority.

Very sad sale of my much loved boy "Rory"

Registered name "Lets Go LS"

17'1 9 year old coloured KWPN.

I've owned Rory for three years, where he has brought back my confidence. Rory has attended many somerford camps, county shows, dressage shows, showjumping, showing and Eventing.

He has lovely paces and would excel in the dressage world with the correct training. He is learning changes and lateral work and shows a great attitude towards his work.

Rory will jump round a course of 80/90 showjumps, however he can have poles. He's honest and fun to jump.

Rory has XC schooled to 100 level, jumping ditches, water, steps, drops, skinnies with no problems. He is often used as the lead horse.

Rory is ridden in a snaffle to flat and a pelham to jump, he can be ridden in snaffle to jump, however I find him easier to balance with a pelham.

Rory is brilliant to travel and stay away, he is extremely relaxed and easy to deal with in all ways.

He is very well priced due to having a tieback in early 2023, this has left him with a noise when working hard.

Rory would be the perfect dressage, riding club or allrounder to have fun with. Rory will not event due to tieback.

Rory doesnt need ridden daily, will go first or last, will stand alone or be left. He really is an absolute gent in all ways.

My reason for sale is that i'm a competitive rider and wish to move up the levels.

Rory has scored marks of below 30 in his dressage.
9th at his first BE80.
2nd in local summer SJ series.

Can come with some tack and rugs by separate negotiation.

Good Home very important to me!

Phenomenal 16.2hh 2018 blue and white Irish (green book, beautifully bred), quality mare, this outstanding stamp will turn heads wherever you go, and this horse will go anywhere and do any job.

This lovely horse has been to training shows, hunter trials and has lightly hunted, she has been slowly and properly produced and has gorgeous paces with a big hind step, she’s correct and spot on in every single way.

Loads of jump, bold to a fence, will help out her jockey and goes off any stride, she won’t ever say no. This mare is enthusiastic to work, always easy and has the most scopey, careful jump. A lovely kind horse on the ground, laid back and chilled out in the yard, easy to handle and do. Mannerly sort.

Blueberry is a lovely stamp, a true leg in each corner, big substantial mare and not the type you see often. Blueberry will hack alone and in company, good in traffic and easy going to hack. She will go out and do any job tomorrow with anyone on board.

  • Super Stamp of a Horse

Beautiful 15.2hh Irish coloured cob mare with the loveliest temperament. She is a real quality type with a soft, kind nature and always wants to be your friend.

Exceptionally easy to handle in every way – a pleasure to lead, turn out, catch, and shoe, and a joy to have on the yard. She is vice-free and loves to be fussed, groomed, and brushed. A genuinely sweet, friendly mare who enjoys human attention.

She is super to hack in all situations and weather – excellent in traffic, goes alone or in company, first or last, and stands quietly at the mounting block while you get on. Always ridden in a snaffle. She’s not lazy but equally not sharp, just a lovely, straightforward ride.

She has previously had stifle issues, and the vet who treated her has said she would pass a vetting for hacking, but may not stand up to more strenuous work – therefore not suitable for jumping. However, she is more than happy to hack for hours and really enjoys her work.

She is up to date with her vaccinations and worming, and is coming from a loving, caring home where she has been very well looked after.

A very sad sale of a much-loved mare. Someone will be incredibly lucky to have this genuine, kind horse who will make a fantastic hacking partner.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

3 active paces with established flatwork and lateral work. Presents a good frame and produces a nice test.

Competed out UA Dressage & BD where most recently he won at novice level with over 70%. He has also previously attended Petplan winter championship where he placed top 3.

Bold scopey jump and happily jumped up to 1m05 with owner at competitions and has trained over bigger tracks at home.

Has done arena xc and schooling on grass where he will jump ditches, banks, waters etc.

Also attended numerous showing competitions where he qualified for the LIHS show hunter class.

Hacks alone and in company, great in open spaces. Good to shoe, box, clip etc.

Sad sale after 3yrs but his heart isn’t in eventing and that is what the owner would like to do.

He would excel in a dressage/riding club level home.

Absolutely no time wasters as this decision hasn’t been taken lightly.

ULTIMATE ALLROUNDER
Mya is a gorgeous 15h/15.1 Approx 11 year old Coloured Mare Cob x. The perfect people would be someone who would be wanting to participate as: Low Level Allrounder, Showing, Dressage, RC, Junior PC, Happy Hacker, Fun rides, Pleasure horse, Mother/Daughter Share for a competent home. Spent the last 3 years Happy Hacking in a wonderful private place.

As a ridden horse:
Mya is a naturally forward going mare. Her paces are outstanding and would shine in a dressage/showing environment. Potential to register as a Chaps/TGCA showing prospect, her markings will make her stand out from the crowd. Her confirmation is very correct and smart. She’s very eye catching.

Mya will walk, trot and canter in a sweet outline. She’s well schooled and started her lateral work. Flicks her toes and would certainly have potential in the BD/Petplan festivals. Loves her polework and is very clever, will pick things up very easily.

She’s a keen jumper, she can get excited due to not doing very much of this over the last 3 years. Hasn’t got a stop in her, very willing. She’s just forward to a fence, so wouldn’t suit a nervous novice. Mya doesn’t have to jump in her new place if that’s something you wish not to do.

Mya will hack alone and in company. She has seen heavy traffic including busses, tractors, large machinery and hgv Lorrie’s on our working farm. This is what she’s mainly done for the past 3 years with her private owner. She will happily go into open spaces, will canter in a group. Does prefer to be leading. A sensible, level headed Allrounder cob.

On the ground:
Shes great to handle on the ground. Great to bath, tie up, groom, tack up. Great to clip, no sedation needed. Great for the farrier. Will happily stable. Current routine, she’s in at evening, out in the day individually. Shod up front. Up to date with flu + tet. Loaded and travelled well on a 3.5 tonne box.

Based Warwickshire with great trial facilities. Previously passed a 5 stage vetting. Bridle and rugs included. Does have some mallanders which are treatable with creams and not fazed by them. Clean legs and body

A one in a million type that doesn’t come available often, only the best places need to apply. All places will be vetted and references asked for.

Plenty of videos on request to show how fabulous she is

Jerry is a 16.1 hands coloured gelding, 4 years.

Jerry is going very nicely both on group lessons and by himself in the school. He has a calm and sensible attitude. He has good flatwork and has competed in a few shows doing prelim dressage. He has 3 lovely balanced paces with super canter work, finding it very easy to canter circles and shapes.

He is very calm and is happy to work around dogs and cats in the arena.!!

Jerry is very happy to jump a course of small fences and is not fazed by fillers. He is now ready for someone to really have lots of fun on and really enjoy.

Jerry is great to hack both alone and in company. He is good in traffic.

Jerry is a lovely person and enjoys being groomed and having lots of cuddles.

SOLD SUBJECT TO VET 14/11/25

Sadly I am selling my much loved one in a million horse Harold.

Harold is an 11 year old 15.1 skewbald gelding.

He is a very attractive horse, and moves really nicely on the flat. He is incredibly safe to hack and will go past any traffic and farm machinery. Has previously hacked over motorway bridges. Will go in front or behind and often used to baby sit the green horses out hacking.

Has been ridden by a three year old girl. Will happily plod along with a novice or do some faster work with a more experienced rider.
He really has a sensible brain on him.

He has done; arena hires, dressage competitions, show jumping, clear rounds, xc schooling, sponsored rides and loose jumps weekly. He is really polite on a sponsored ride, doesn’t get strong or phased by other horses galloping past him and truly loves it. I went round on the buckle most the time.

Loads really well, will live on or out, hardy and would go barefoot. Loves a cuddle and is a pleasure to handle.

Would be an ideal RC horse, first horse for a child coming off ponies, mother/daughter share or safe hunter and working hunter.
He is really one in a million, hard to find type and a yard favourite.

No time wasters as this is an incredibly difficult decision for me and he will only be going to the best home. If I had the money I would be keeping him for life, he is my heart horse and I know his full history.

No loans, payment plans or time wasters welcome. Open to sensible offers for a 10* home.
