About her sire, As a six year old Emerald van ’t Ruytershof was reserve champion at the World Championships for young horses, and five years later he was part of the Dutch team and finalist at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero, and was second in the World Cup Final in Gothenburg. Emerald has many international Grand Prix victories with his rider Harrie Smolders. In 2018 he was the winner of the grands prix in Bordeaux and LGCT Cannes, second in the World Cup team final in Paris and the LGCT in Doha, and third in the Rolex grand prix in s'Hertogenbosch. Emerald's offspring are proving to be superb, talented and rideable athletes who inherit their sire's power and scope. He is a big softy and definitely wants a nice kind owner, he is so brave in lots of ways but can be a bit soft and spooky and just needs his hand holding not a rough angry rider. He is genuine and always trying his best to please. He is not sharp, and doesn’t need the best of riders just not an aggressive rider.

He has done plenty of arena hires, xc schooling, hacking and has hunted, he was hot and strong to hunt so he is certainly not for sale as a hunter, however he’s only been out a few times to busy full on type meets so if someone wanted to put the work in and do plenty of hound exercise and cubbing he may take to it in time.

Pops a course of showjumps but is still green so this is an area that needs work, however unphased by fillers, water trays etc.

Goes in a snaffle enjoys his work in the school going nicely in a frame and just started getting the hang of his changes, just a lovely sort to have around the yard.

Corkie is unfortunately for sale due to me having an accident and unable to ride for the foreseeable future. I bought him to produce as an eventer/Hunter/ Allrounder.

He has been XC schooling a few times and is brave, jumps logs, ditches, hedges no problem.

He has been to clear round show jumping, easy and level headed in a competitive environment.

He is schooling well for age, rides in an outline, basics are known but definitely has loads to work on.

He is good to hack, not keen on bikes if they are coming really fast, but fine if they slow down. Great in open spaces, isn’t strong happy at the back or front.

He has hunted, done fun rides, beach rides, does all of this very well.

He loads and travels well on Anything, up to date with vaccs, farrier, dentist, physio.

He has been out of work for 2 weeks, and will be sold from the field due to me not being able to ride.

He is not suitable for novice/ nervous/ young children. He is talented and gorgeous and therefore has got some spark to him!
