'Flying Solo' 15h (lhc) 15 year old gelding

Solo is a very quality horse, with a super nature very kind and willing. Solo is multitalented competing in British Dressage, British Riding Clubs (East Dorset Riding Club), combined training and jumping (workers and SJ). Would go XC but this is not for me! Some 2024 results;
CHAPS UK restricted final winner, champion points accumulator, winner and res champion starter stakes, res supreme bucks spectacular, champion sport horse in hand and ridden at the New forest show. Qualified 2023,2024 for the BD red gorilla combine training championships, attended the BRC intermediate / dressage to music finals and finished overall 2nd in the team quest winter league. Currently standing 2nd on the My quest leaderboard.

Solo gives a lovely ride, with three beautiful rhythmical balanced paces, with good lateral work, superb jumper has taught me so much very scopey capable of bigger tracks but I'm only comfortable at 80cm. Solo is not suitable for a complete novice or first time buyers but would suit a competent amateur/ teenager or a fun allrounder on. Solo hacks alone or in company goes first or last however wouldn't be suitable for road hacking as he isn't keen on bigger vehicles but is fine with cars, vans, dogs etc. Snaffle mouthed, never strong or silly.

Shod all round up to date with chiropractor, dentist vaccinations, farrier, does need to stay on a gut balancer.

Lives in at night and out during the day, lovely on the ground and a real pleasure to have around. Currently out competing so is fit and ready to go and give a new family lots of wonderful memories.

Please call 07584163200 ( work full time mon - fri so leave a message and I will get back to you)

Sapphire has the loveliest temperament and is perfect on the ground , she is like an over sized dog , loves fuss and attention.

Sapphire has 3 fabulous natural paces with gorgeous flowing trot and a super canter with changes.

Importantly she has a super trainability and learns very quickly. She has easy lateral work.

Sapphire is showing natural scope and ability showjumping / X country .. she would also stand out in the showing ring! She was very bold and brave and sensible.

We also have taken her to showjumping Venus and she has been very bold and careful, very trainable and she really has a natural scope and super balanced, she has seen fillers and coloured fences , water trays etc…

Sapphire also has been hacking with a 14 year old girl in heavy traffic on her own and in company , she will lead the way … not silly or spooky.

Sapphire is only ridden in a snaffle and stands at the block while you get on. She has a lovely soft mouth.

Picasso is a striking 15.2hh 6yr reg Leopard Spot Appaloosa gelding.

What an eye catching chap he is. Really kind person to handle and do.

He has 3 lovely paces and would be outstanding in the show ring.

We have schooled him XC and SJ. He has an impressive jump.

He hacks alone and in company and is good in open spaces.

He is green schooling/ not yet consistent in the contact but obviously he is only young so will need bringing along. Starting hold himself in a frame.

He has been foot perfect here a real pleasure to train and work with. He hasn’t actually been ridden a lot in that period even though backed at 4years old. Has glowing references from when he was broken in.

He is up to date with teeth (recently had wolf teeth removed), physio, vaccinated.

He has come to us and then we found out he had a colourful past. Therefore, he won’t be sold to a novice rider or child. Happy to discuss with serious people.

Deep seeking my nxt best friend. 14.2 up 16h really as I cant get on big ones!

If 14.2hh it MUST be full up without a short choppy stride.

Pref an older or atleast “been there type“ with lots of experience to get my confidence bk enjoying a bit of jumping (only 70-80& rc clinics), lots of forest hacking at home.

Exp private home in E.Sussex / Kent on beautiful private farm. I'm a petite adult with yrs of competition exp & just want to get something that is genuine to enjoy. Nice easy ride with zero quirks, .Spook fine out hacking but no bucking, spins or rears or bolting.
I’d say more of a leg on rather than pull but equally not a plod.
Easy to load alone & happy waiting around at clinics without any drama. No getting buzzy
Minor health issues are fine if disclosed. Poss a failed vetting?MUST hack alone & CALM in comp without dramas. We meet dogs & push bikes in forest here so must be genuine & safe though not wanting a plod & nothing too heavy as I am petite.

Im very exp& use to compete a lot but now just wanting a kind, easy type to enjoy at home with my older boy. Not wanting to compete very much at all just fun rides& Rc clinics& low level jumping occasionally.
..I don’t own a school here so im not into endless circles, quite the opp, hence needing something who knows it job. Have stables & land at home with other horses as field mates.

Home for life- Ex vet nurse& has had Equines all my life(.

£8k max, less if older type. Not intr buying off a dealer if no known history. Too many being sold with unknown health issues

Classy 2017 blue and white Irish gelding standing at a full up 15hh, he’s a beautiful model and a lovely stamp.

This lovely little horse is an out and out confidence giver, he jumps for fun and is such an easy ride. He has three comfortable paces on the flat, balanced and correct, and would do a nice test. He jumps just about anything and isn’t bothered if it’s rustic or colourful, he is well hunted and knows this job inside out, a total professional over a ditch, with that being said he’s a lovely lad and would gladly hack out and enjoy the countryside with someone nervous.

He is so reliable hacking and will happily go out on his own or with others, isn’t looky or spooky and will take on any traffic, a real mannerly little horse, a head turner and a kind character to have around.

Hard to find, safe allrounder and a nice enough stamp to go showing.

This flawless boy is open to any vet or trainer.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Bambi

Due to her current owner going travelling, Bambi is looking for a five star home where she can continue to have fun.

She would make an ideal mother/daughter share whilst still having the talent and scope to be competitive if required.

She is 6 years old, 16hh and is the most honest and easy person to have around. She has 3 correct paces, is snaffle mouthed and is uncomplicated to ride. She is willing to go forward whilst never being silly or spooky and really tries in all she is asked to do.

She has been out competing at unaffiliated Showjumping, bringing home a win and a third up to 80cm.

She has been XC schooling over 90cm fences, proving to be honest and bold.

Bambi will hack either alone or in company and is good in traffic. She loads and travels well and is good to be clipped, bathed and shod. She has no health issues and will live in or out.

A video can be provided on request via WhatsApp.

Viewings based in Gloucestershire.

This lovely boy is looking for a companion-only role in a gelding-only home where he can continue to enjoy a calm, consistent routine. Cracker is polite and well-mannered to handle. He's good to groom, has his feet picked out without fuss, and takes daily care in his stride.

Cracker would be a wonderful addition to a peaceful herd where he can enjoy the companionship of other geldings and the company of kind handler. If you’re looking for a dependable and affectionate companion, Cracker might be just the one to complete your equine family.

Quality mare registered with the Irish Piebald and Skewbald Studbook. By Clononeen in a Pickle (licensed Traditional Cob, with IPSA and TGCA, PSSM negative), out of Midnight Magic II (successful BS mare, jumping up to Newcomers). Knappside Stormy Morning, aka Storm, is a great mare. Super easy in all ways, you can hose, clip, trim, brush, farrier, dentist, physio, vet etc all with no issue. She’s the cleanest mare I’ve ever known in a stable, so she stays white, and she’s super quick to muck out.

She was broken in in November 24, and has been ridden away since. She spent all winter stabled, 24/7, and was hacked out 3-4 times a week. She never got fresh or silly. You can lead her off of another horse, hack alone or in company, and shes a willing and sensible having a canter down tracks and across the field. We ride out onto a 50mph road and she has seen lots of traffic. On her own she can still be a bit looky on a big lorry, but inside another horse, she doesn’t even look.

In the school she’s obedient, walk, trot and canter, starting to go into an outline nicely, but this needs more work to get the consistency in the outline. She’s jumped a bit, just out of trot, but is willing and with more work should be a nice riding club / pony club type. Shes a confident type and if you ask her to do something, she will give it a go.

She would be an ideal mother / daughter share, or for anyone wanting to do a bit of everything.
Whilst she is very well behaved, and forward thinking and going, she is only five, so no novice or nervous please as we are looking for a home to continue her education and enjoy lots of adventures with her.

We’ve clipped out her legs, but she would have no more feather than a section D.

Fully up to date with vaccines, dentist, physio. Open to any vet, and happy for you to speak to ours.

Currently stabled at night, and in the field with two other mares during the days.

The perfect confidence giving cob, this brilliant chap stands at a full up 14.2, chaps registered coloured gelding born in 2009. He’s not a dressage superstar, however he is an absolute armchair and so safe.

He’s done most things, generally just been a fun cob. By far the best hack in the yard and he will take on the biggest, heaviest and scariest traffic, if you’re looking for a pure hacker this lad will do the job.

He’s the same when solo and in company. He’s a kind horse on the ground, easy to have around and mannerly. Three comfortable paces on the flat and a very safe and confidence giving ride. Has a great pop in him and enjoys his jumping, wants to get it right and give you a good time. He will tolerate the nervous/ anxious riders and teach someone the ropes too.

A real kind cob and a solid best friend. Open to any vet or trainer.

Trial period available

Gorgeous, quality Irish 2021 coloured cob standing at 15.1hh. Louie has three smart, and balanced paces on the flat, he works in a lovely frame naturally and has a soft snaffle mouth, he aims to please and will ride off your voice, he would do a lovely test and is certainly the right type for it.

He’s a great stamp, with a great temperament, he’s quiet and kind and isn’t bothered by much, he’s not sensitive or sharp and he’s patient with his rider, another lovely young horse who rides older than his years.

He’s brilliant over a fence, makes a lovely shape and will go off any stride / trot or canter. 10/10 to hack out, again rides a lot older and wants to please, he will do everything on the buckle and has a great attitude.

A real lovely allrounder with no hang ups and a sweet temperament. Open to any vet or trainer.

Trial period available.

Jack is a striking coloured with a great personality and will be a super fun horse for the right person.

He’s had the same home for the past 4 years where he has been loved dearly and brought on slowly with low mileage. Jack proves bold and brave to a fence, he’s quick thinking and has a good technique. This is where we feel he will excel as a pony club / riding club home.

Jack has been on pre hunt exercises where he behaved impeccably, he loves to hack and is good in company or on his own. He’s competed at 80 showjumping never getting strong or silly, and has been cross country schooling aswell as clinics and arena hires.

No novices or nervous riders Jack needs a competent jockey to maximise his full potential. He’s good to shoe, clip, vet, physio and load.

However he is only suited to herringbone travel of which he travels well.

Greogory is a lovely bay skewbald, 6 years old (DOB 10/06/2019), is of unknown breeding but his Dam was a traditional cob x TB; however the stallion is unknown. He has 8 inch of bone so fine.

I bought him last year and in that time we have done some 50cm and 60cm clear rounds and he loves his jumping, he will easily clear a meter once established. He is very forward going and takes you into a fence, he also tucks up very well behind so has a natural jump.
He also has three lovely paces but is still learning.

He loves his hacking so I know he will also enjoy going cross country.

He is a poppet in the stable - you can muck out around him and he is easy to shoe, clip and loads straight away. Also travels easily munching on his haynet. Up to date with vaccination, teeth, and physio.

Only for sad sale as I am nearing 50 and feel he needs a stronger rider than I am in order to get the best out of him, therefore only competent and experienced riders will be considered. He is still young so no novices.
