Barnsview Silver Lady

Dori is a 148cm 8-year-old Connemara type mare (unrecorded breeding), who I have owned since early 2024. She has been slowly and correctly produced during this time and is now ready to find her next person.

Dori is a talented, versatile and genuine little mare who really does have the best of both worlds. She works well on the flat with correct paces good transitions and lateral work (shoulder in and leg yield). She is capable of turning it up and taking you confidently round a course, whilst also being sensible enough to take your grandma for a hack! I have put my novice mum on her and happily taken them out hacking on busy roads with no concerns.

I have done a bit of everything with Dori, including unaffiliated eventing, dressage, showjumping, hunting, beach rides and plenty of hacking. She is incredibly easy to take out and about — I regularly load her up on my own and head off to the beach without a second thought. She has also been to camps and stayed away overnight at my instructor’s yard for lessons, taking everything completely in her stride. She has qualified for the unaffiliated 90s and 1m showjumping championships at Aintree too. However, although she has done a bit of everything, she has not been hammered and has been produced with her longevity in mind.

Dori is a lovely and easy mare to have around and a real yard favourite. She has a fantastic personality and is a pleasure to handle. She is good with other horses and can be ridden and led or lead another horse from her. She is not marish and is equally happy being turned out in a herd or on her own.

She is a very safe and sensible mare, while still being forward and athletic. She has a lovely attitude to her work and is always keen to please.

I feel Dori would be particularly well suited to a Pony Club or a BS home. She has plenty of potential in showjumping but is versatile enough to turn her hoof to pretty much anything. I think she would be a fantastic pony for someone wanting to progress through the levels, attend Pony Club activities, compete or simply have fun.

This is an incredibly hard and sad decision. I absolutely adore Dori and she has been a huge part of my life over the last few of years. However, at 23, I feel I have reached the stage where a horse would be more suitable for me. I would love to find Dori a home where her talent can be enjoyed and developed.

Homes will be carefully considered for this special mare. I am looking for someone who will love her as much as I do and give her the knowledgeable, active and caring home she deserves.

Sadly these ponies just don’t grow with our children and the time has come for Romeo to find his new little person 🥺 Mya’s absolute pride and joy, the last of her little ponies left and will be so devastated to see him go!

Romeo will be your child’s best friend, if you want to go out and have fun doing pony club, hunter trials, hacking, beach rides, hunting, shows, you name it he will look after your child regardless of where he is. I frequently send Mya off with the hounds, snaffle mouthed always and he brings her back with a smile ear to ear every time! The only thing we haven’t done with him is dressage and showing although I have no doubt he would also excel here - Mya just refuses to be involved 🤣 she’s not once fallen from him, however frequently falls from her others - so a testament to him not her🤣

We would love to find him a home where he would be adored as a real child’s pony and best friend, he is the politest boy on the ground, turned out with our other ponies and done by Mya pretty much solo since she was 8! A home that appreciates a varied life and doesn’t want to go round in circles in an arena, not because he won’t do it, but because he loves all aspects of life 🫶🏼 super competitive and always in the ribbons up to 70cm, hunter trials also in the ribbons! If he doesn’t sell Mya will team chase him this winter and he will remain as her super fun pony!

His only vice is will windsuck if doesn’t have hay, I manage this by making sure he’s never left empty, although he isn’t a pig so won’t eat himself to obesity 🫶🏼 I find people are either bothered or unbothered by this which is totally fine, but please don’t view and use this as a reason to not go ahead. He means the world to us and this is a very sad sale!

A real life unicorn that will look after your child, is super safe and hopefully will give them as many fun years as he has Mya 🦄 loads of videos of him on @life.withbobby on instagram based Reigate, Surrey, 10k

Clyde – 14hh 5yo TGCA Blue Blagdon Cob Gelding

Really, really sad sale of a much-loved member of the family.

Clyde is a gorgeous 14hh, 5-year-old blue blagdon cob gelding with striking markings. He is TGCA registered and, with his looks and presence, I think he could do very well in the show ring.

Clyde is the definition of a turbo cob! He’s certainly no plod and absolutely loves getting out and doing things. He’s still green due to his age, but he’s coming on really nicely in the school and is keen to learn.

He hacks alone and in company and is fantastic in traffic, including with larger vehicles. He’s sensible in open spaces and around livestock, and will happily pop a small cross pole - although I’m not convinced show jumping is going to be his calling in life!

Clyde is the sort of cob who really benefits from having a job and being kept busy. He would suit someone who wants a fun, forward-going horse to get out and enjoy, continue his education and potentially do a bit of showing with. Although he has happily been ridden by children on the lead-rein, he is not suitable for a novice and I’d really like him to go to an experienced, confident home where he'll be kept busy.

On the ground, Clyde is incredibly sweet and cuddly in the stable, loves attention and is forever making people laugh with his antics. He can be strong on the ground if he thinks he can get away with it, so again needs someone confident.

This is an incredibly difficult sale and finding the right home is far more important to me than finding the quickest one. He is very much loved and will only go to a home where I feel he will be happy, understood and enjoyed.

Can come with tack and rugs if needed.

Viewings very welcome and plenty of videos available on request.

Lovely child’s second pony: Lily. A gorgeous pony who is kind and sweet. We sourced her through a contact just over a year ago for a little girl on our yard as a second pony and she’s been a dream.

Previously she was in a riding school and has since been with a little girl based at my yard and done a range of activities like lessons, clinics, XC lessons, arena eventing, unaff show jumping, farm rides & dressage as well as regular schooling and hacking.

She’s more woah than go, snaffle mouthed and not silly / sharp ever. Sometimes she can have a little buck when she is being a bit lazy but nothing more than that. She’s been great fun & confidence boosting for her owner who is a very small 12yo girl. She’s genuine to jump off any stride, has been schooling round approx 70-75cm and competing around 60ish successfully.

Fabulous to hack on / off road. Happy to canter in front of behind.

Good to handle, a bit of a face puller in the stable to some adults but very easy

Very sad sale due to jockey needing surgery on both knees due to a long term issue (nothing to do with horses) so will be off riding for a year.

Comes with FULL TACK & rugs

Private sale on behalf of the owner

LOTS OF VIDEOS on request.

  • Cleo is a 14h 5yo purebred dapple grey Connemare mare
  • All Class 1 breeding

She is sired by the prestigious Carstown Bobby Sparrow, and her Damsire is the one and only Silver Shadow, one of the most desireable Connemara stallions in the world.

Cleo shows incredible scope over fences, and is currently schooling 1.10 with room for more. We believe that with the right jockey and program, she has the technique and talent be a fabulous 1.20 pony.

She is brave and honest, requiring very little leg or help from her rider. She always goes in a loose ring snaffle and is never strong in related distances, before or after the fence.

Cleo has a steady, rhythmic canter that is incredibly easy and balanced to adjust. She is never bold and will always take the distance given

She is not hot, strong, sharp or silly and proves very forgiving to a bad distance. She is settled and calm in new places.

Cleo is easy and light to ride in the contact and has auto changes when jumping a course

Our rides have found her to be a very pleasant, straightforward little mare who loves to work. She is gentle and polite to catch, hack alone or company, shoe, load, tie, plait, wash, travel alone, etc.

She has no mareish behaviours, she can live out with mares and geldings quietly or live in and stays the same character.

Cleo has been cross country schooling and cub hunted, and proves equally brave and happy to jump natural obstacles. We believe her best talent is as a showjumping pony, as she is ultra focused and very careful over coloured rails.

Due to her athletic nature, we believe Cleo would best suit a child already confidently competing in 80cm classes who is hoping for a talented partner to take them up the levels, or a someone looking to develop her on as a top-track showjumper.

Cleo is open to any vetting

  • The ultimate family friend, she has looked after a range of riders and is safe, sensible and kind
  • Enjoys life, happy to hack, hunt, local shows, beach rides, fun rides, or just potter about

If you’re looking for a friend to join your family to really enjoy your riding, you may have found her.

She is a full up solid 14.2, happily carries an adult yet is well behaved for children too.

She really does ‘have the T shirt’ have been in her current family home for the last 3 years. She has introduced a novice teenager to hunting, low level shows including showing, showjumping etc.

She has also been driven in her younger years by her elderly farmer owner, and in fact did have a little refresher 3 years ago and had not forgotten a thing! She is a pleasure to drive to, light in the rein, and very easy and straightforward.

Whilst she’s not a sporty athletic cob, she does enjoy being ridden and always has a smile on her face and happy ears! She jumps small courses, but if you’re looking to jump more than 60cm and race against the clock she’s probably not for you.

She is reasonably forward going, but still steady if that makes sense?! She doesn’t rush off but she has active paces whilst always being comfortable. You can do sitting trot and enjoy cantering without her pulling, bunking you around or generally needing too much ‘riding’

She is happy to go in an arena and works politely in all three paces BUT please remember she has been the horse that has taught people and given them confidence, so she’s no dressage diva! She would do an accurate prelim test if that was your thing, but if you want to be on Team GB by Christmas, again, she’s probably not your match.

She’s ace on beach rides and fun rides, patiently waits if you need to scoop up kids, canters in front of behind, or walks, very nicely if you’ve had enough, have a stitch and quite frankly just want to see the lorry park again.

She’s got character, loves her hoomans and really is a type of special friend that is very difficult to find.

She’s good with all the usual things traffic, farrier, travelling etc etc

She’s up to date with vaccinations, worming, shoeing, and is open to vet.

Please text if I do not answer the phone and I’ll call back.

She will have her comfy tack and rugs to go with her and I’m happy to deliver her to her new family within reason.

This is a very sad and quite difficult sale. She can be seen with a friend so that you have access to an arena and better hacking. You can speak to owner, friend she’s living with and even her home before if you feel the need to.

She really is very special.

13hh | 7yo | Registered New Forest | Gelding

Very sadly and unexpectedly looking for a new home, solely due to his 12-year-old jockey having a sudden growth spurt.

Jack has been slowly and carefully produced, with his future very much in mind. He is a quality, genuine pony who has made an extremely promising start to his working hunter career and has already shown that he can hold his own in Top company.

3rd – Cheshire County

3rd – Novice Nursery Stakes, BSPS Summer Championships

At only seven and very lightly campaigned, Jack has so much more to come. He has all the ingredients to make a top-class Nursery Stakes pony, and 133cm with the scope and ability.

He is a registered New Forest with proven performance breeding. His paternal line goes back through Burley Dunedin to Luckington Sportaide, whose progeny include the prolific RIHS and HOYS Working Hunter Pony Furzley Charaide.

This genuinely isn't a sale we expected, and we would love to find him another competitive young jockey who can continue his education, enjoy him and make the most of the exciting future we believe he has ahead of him.

A lovely opportunity for someone looking for their next Nursery Stakes pony / 133cm.

Fantastic to hack out

Loves the beach, farm rides.

Lovely temperament

A knowledgeable, loving competition 5 star home is extremely important.

Indiana has a lot of untapped potential as a showjumping pony. Loads of scope careful and very brave to a fence with fillers, planks and water trays.

Indiana would best suit a confident rider to take her up the show jumping levels.

She is great to hack alone or in company and very sensible in open spaces. She has been out on fun rides where she behaved impeccably. (see video attached below).

This mare has the best temperament, she is handled and ridden by my 11 year old son.

We bought her for my son who at the time was into pony racing and wanted to move up to the 148 category this winter. At the beginning of summer he had a great time getting her fit, However over summer he has lost interest in racing and is now focusing on eventing. As he has also recently started secondary school we decided we didn’t have enough time to keep her in work.

At the start of this summer She was lightly schooled and popped some small jumps but we don’t have the facilities for this. (We have to travel to a hired arena and just haven't got time) so She’s mainly hacked, lots of beach rides and cantered in feilds and moorland. She then had a break for most of July and August.

Recently she has been brought back into light work. She has the most easy going temperament…..after not being ridden for a month or so we caught her from the field and went gathering sheep on the moor where she behaved impeccably!

She doesn’t get silly or strong. She never bucks, rears or anything nasty. She’s quiet and calm but moves forward nicely when asked. Never naps and is not spooky. She happily hacks alone or in company. And my son hacks her by himself so she’s pretty trustworthy. She lives in or out. Good to load, good to catch. Loves attention!

She is a great all rounder and young and willing enough for someone to take in any direction.

She’s a sweet mare and deserves a loving home. Best suited to child or small adult.

Penny is a very striking bay roan pony with a lot of presence.

Despite her delicate looks she hunted hard for 3 seasons prior to us purchasing her. She is the perfect first hunting pony. We’re still in touch with previous owners and hunting references are available. She’s also been out this season on hound exercise.

We’ve owned Penny for just over a year and she’s been an absolutely brilliant pony for us. In that time we’ve enjoyed doing lots of Pony Club, local showing as well as BSPS, showjumping competitions (unaff as my son isn’t old enough for BS) as well as loads of hacking.

We live in the middle of the North York Moors and she’s foot perfect on undulating and rocky terrain around here even without shoes. She’s an incredibly tough mare, fit as a flea and she has no idea how little she is. I ride her a lot as my son often isn’t interested in riding at home unless there’s something exciting going on. She’s brilliant to ride and lead and she’s also hunted on the lead rein off a horse.

She won a large flat showing class last year at a local agricultural show. She would move well enough for pure showing or even dressage but that’s not something we’re interested in.

She’s very consistent over a fence and it would be unusual for her to have a pole - she’s ready to start BS next week. Equally she would do very well at workers. Frustratingly the two Cradle Stakes she’s done Freddie forgot the course! She was placed recently at a BSPS Area 1A Arena Event though.

The best is yet to come for this cracking little pony but my son is 6 (and very tall - age 9-10 clothes) and lacks in his core to ride her any better than he does do currently so whilst she could do more they’ve done as much as they can as a combination at this stage. It makes sense for me if he moves onto a 12.2 or even 13h now because I ride her more than he does at home (typical boy) and I’d prefer something I could legitimately go out on in public! There’s a few clips of my daughter also riding Penny (when she was 4). She hacks her fine but wouldn’t be up to doing anything more than that at this stage because she is a powerful pony and not your typical first ridden. She’s safe because she always looks after herself but she’s a switched on pony, spooky at times and wouldn’t suit an inexperienced home or nervous jockey.

Can be seen competing at Stainsby Grange Star of the North Championships on 20th September if not sold before.

A very special 14hh (143cm), 9-year-old registered Welsh Section D gelding who truly is the sort that’s becoming increasingly hard to find. A genuine, versatile pony who will turn his hoof to everything and always gives his best.

With me he has hunted, showjumped, hacked alone and in company, and has competed in HOYS qualifier flat classes as well as county-level working hunter classes. Whether you’re looking for a fun all-rounder, a hunting partner, Pony Club pony, workers or flat pony or a quality family horse, he fits the bill.

He has been ridden and enjoyed by all the family and is equally happy going out to compete or simply enjoying a quiet hack.

He has no vices and is good to catch, load, shoe.

He has a scar on his hindquarters which is purely cosmetic and does not affect him in any way.

Broken to drive but I haven’t driven him.

This is an incredibly genuine pony looking for another family to enjoy him as much as we have. A genuine family home is essential preferably for a teen/mum. No picture collectors. Serious enquiries only.

Some super breeding inc thorneyside lines.

I have motivated clients looking for genuine, kind, quality and proven ponies to take part in all Pony Club activities.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There is no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

All leads will be handled with discretion. Please feel free to give me a call, drop me a WhatsApp or check out my Instagram page @theponysearchagent
