Despite my best efforts, I have grown up and now is my season for horses, it is therefore with much regret that we look to find my wonderful pony Rubin his new home - class 1 dun Connemara, rising 7yo (146cm FEI height certificate 2023).
Show name : Ballyvary Patsy
Rubin is a competition pony and has been without a doubt my pony of a lifetime with exceptional talent and attitude - he is on his way to becoming an FEI 2* pony.
Rubin’s full history is known and has been a pleasure to produce and work with. He is ready to tackle the pony trial tracks and has the attitude and ability to do so; he is also just as willing to step down to show a younger rider the ropes being slowly produced to ensure a long and successful competitive life.
Some of his achievements are as follows:
BSPS Scotland - winner 2022 Novice 143 WHP
PC Area 19 showjumping 100cm - qualified for 2023 Championships;
NPS Scotland - winner 2023 Open 143 WHP, qualified for Blair Summer Championships
British Dressage - 4 points; completed in Youth Rider Assessments (2024)
British Eventing - 24 Foundation Points; picked for Scotland U18 90 team & represented Scotland u21 at Bishop Burton International Youth Championships in 2023.
March 2024, BE 100 - 7th with a double clear & highest placed amateur.
His flatwork is very established, with 3 lovely paces; when competing he holds and shows a real presence receiving positive feedback from the judges.
He knows his job but is a very careful jumper, whether that be show jumping or cross country, looking after himself and his jockey. He has the courage of a lion and I know he will always bring me home safe.
Total yard favourite with a sweet temperament and funny faces keeping everyone amused - he really is the ultimate dream pony.
He will only go to the very best of homes, which will be vetted and to a rider that we feel matches him well (UK/Ireland only).
Excellent to bath, shoe, clip, load, travel, etc.
