Our loveable New Forest pony effectively carries out two jobs for us - Range clearing pony across Dartmoor (with dogs afoot) ridden by lightweight 66yr old lady, and safe ride and lead/dressage pony babysitting our warmblood youngsters.

His heritage and full history are known as he was bred locally on Dartmoor, great blood lines with siblings out and proven. We’ve had him at Tiger Tor Dressage for just over a year and he’s done a sterling job for us so now it’s time to find him a new family (we change range ponies annually as its a tough job across rugged terrain).

All our ponies are schooling in dressage (I am a Grand Prix rider), so it’s our ethos to improve their way of going and ability to carry us. This lad took to it like a duck to water, he has such an easy, trainable brain and responds so well to instruction. He’s been out to a variety of venues and shows, he loves the limelight and ups his game whenever we’re in the arena. 17 BD points from 6 tests (11 prelim, 6 novice), demonstrates his flair - he’s been a rosette machine. Three balanced and rhythmical paces, lateral work well established, comfortable uphill canter, collects with obedience, there is so much more to come.

His loveable nickname is ‘Shrimp the chimp’ as on the yard he’s rubbing shoulders with big athletic warmbloods, but he holds his own. He has spirit, and is quite high ranking (lives out in a herd), so he’s probably not a child’s first pony. However, for a capable smaller rider this occasional ‘cheekiness’ turns into ‘performance’ - he could reach FEI in the right hands.

He is well behaved and easy to do in all ways, vet, farrier, clip, box, travel, hacks alone and in company (we lead unbroken youngsters from him), no vices, up to date with everything. The best of loving homes is sought for him, so please don’t be offended if we ask lots of questions, you are encouraged to do the same.

Carl has been owned by the same family for the last 5 years, in that time he has been the most fantastic schoolmaster to Sujan his main rider but also to Sujan’s mum and sister, he has competed at every regional championship winter and summer with Sujan from prelim to now elementary whilst also teaching Sujan all the FEI pony moves.

Carl competed internationally at FEI ponies with his previous owner, travelling to Belgium with GB.

With us he has had more of a schoolmaster role but also competed consistently. He is never sick or sorry and is a healthy agile pony. He has usual maintenance for his age. While Carl is a fabulous dressage schoolmaster he is a proper competition pony and not suitable for a beginner, he is sensitive and easy on the aids and wants to please. Carl hacks out happily and safely but prefers not to be in front ( he will but likes another horse ideally)

Carl loads on any lorry and has always been an absolute pleasure at stay away shows.

Sadly sujan has now totally outgrown Carl and it’s vital to find a kind loving home for this much loved pony. Very, very sad sale due to lack of time as our daughter is moving up to secondary school in September and we are struggling for time to ride due to younger horses/ponies. Lolly is sold with the lifetime guarantee she can retire home to us at any point in the future.

I brought Boris 2 years ago as a project, however he very quickly stole my heart and I’ve been putting this decision off for a very long time, but the time has come for him to find a new family who will adore him just as much as I do.

He adjusts well to his rider and can plod around in the slow lane or equally can rank it up for a more forward ride. He is beginning his lateral movements and changes and is proven to be a very quick learner. Boris has an exceptional groundwork education, understands voice commands and will “emergency stop” if asked to. Boris is the sort you can leave for weeks, hop straight on & enjoy- even sensible enough to have happily given small children rides.

Boris hacks alone and in company, he doesn’t fizz up in open spaces and isn’t bothered to be left behind or separated from another horse. He has plenty of experience around heavy machinery and traffic.



Boris loads and travels like a dream, he has seen a lot of the world and isn’t phased by busy warmups or new venues. He will happily stand all day by the lorry and is always such a pleasure to take out.



This year Boris has participated in pretty much every discipline, he is loved by judges and always gets lots of attention when out and about. He absolutely loves his jumping and happily pops round 90cm courses, he will always take a miss and jump from any stride. A genuine, willing horse who always wants to please, he produces a lovely dressage test and consistently scores well. Boris has been there and done it all: showjumping, XC schooling, dressage, showing, hunting, beach rides & many clinics. He is a genuine all- round prospect with the talent, scope and attitude to progress to a high level in any chosen discipline.



Boris is perfect for the vet, dentist, farrier, physio, sheath cleaner etc. He is barefoot, up to date with vaccinations and worming, and he has no medical history.



Please note- Boris is an absolute saint in every way; however, he will not be going to a novice home and is not suitable for a novice rider or handler, he is still a young horse and would suit an experienced older child/ teen or adult.
