Otto is good to catch and up to date with vaccinations/dentist/farrier, currently barefoot. No sickness, lumps or bumps.

Otto is not a first pony, nor would he suit a novice rider. He is a forward pony, and so he needs an experienced rider to teach him to listen to their cues. He has never bucked/bronced/reared with us and we are told the same by his previous owner.

Otto loves being turned out. He is currently stabled overnight and turned out during the day. He was turned out in a herd at his previous home, and is on individual turn out with us with horses close by in separate paddocks.

He will not be sold to a home that doesn’t have good turn out.

Previous owner has taken him showjumping, hunting, and on beach rides. We have been focusing on groundwork and schooling, but he has hacked out alone and in company previously and has shown no signs of being fazed by traffic. The track next to his paddock is used regularly by dog walkers, horse riders, cars, vans, and farm machinery and he has not batted an eyelid at any of them.

Leads in and out nicely.

The honest bits -

He is difficult to load. He will plant his feet on the ramp, but does seem to load better if the grooms/side door is open. He may benefit from travelling with another horse, this is not something that we have tried. Travels well when loaded.

Fidgets in stable, especially in the morning when he is keen to be turned out. We have been working on his stable manners and he is showing improvement with this. He needs a confident person on the ground, as he will push and try to test boundaries.

We are selling as I have inadvertently over-horsed my daughter and her confidence has been knocked. I am not horsey, I don’t have the knowledge or experience to teach him properly and so he needs a competent, confident owner who can give him the consistency he needs. He is a truly stunning pony who is keen to work and he will only go to the best of homes as that’s what he deserves.

I truly believe that in the right hands, this pony will be a superstar.

Sad sale due to rider getting too tall. This is Darcy (Corna Little Lady) who is 10 years old.

She is an absolute star. She needs a confident rider that loves to go jumping as much as she does. She has brought my daughter from jumping cross poles to 90s and more at home over her time with us.

Darcy has been part of Pony Club , qualified, competed, placed and won in pony club events and done a little bit of everything but really enjoys show jumping. She is 14hh on the stick.

Crabbswood Crusader 14hh 7-year-old New Forest gelding. Ultimate all-rounder.

Since being with me, he has been used as an all-rounder and has done a bit of everything. He is a super pony with a cracking jump, has competed up to 70cm with scope to go higher and has always been in the ribbons. He is well schooled with three correct paces and does a lovely dressage test, He has been cross-country where he is bold and confident to a fence, been used regularly for Pony Club. He has been hunting, where he will happily go up front or stay at the back. He has also had a successful season showing. you name it he has done it the list could go on.

He is excellent out hacking and has seen pigs, cows, horses, etc. He has led my brother’s pony off him on hacks and is bombproof in heavy traffic. He hacks alone or in company, in front or behind. He is ridden in a snaffle, never strong, and is easy to handle on the ground. He has been handled by the whole family, including my novice mum. He can have the odd buck, so is not suitable for a complete novice.

Liddyfield Lulu is a genuine mare offered for sale through no fault of her own, purely due to her rider moving onto horses.

She has competed successfully up to 1m unaffiliated showjumping, proving bold, careful and scopey. Lulu is brave over solid fences, happily goes through water, and has a willing, trainable attitude. She shows real potential as a Working Hunter / HOYS-type prospect with further production.

On the flat, Lulu is established and works in a correct outline with three balanced paces. She has recently started showing and has proven straightforward and mannerly. She is forward going but never silly or sharp.

An excellent hack — alone or in company. Good in traffic and unfazed by farm machinery. Experienced on both busy and quiet yards. Safe and sensible on farm rides and country lanes.

Maxi is a delight to own he thrives off work is a very quick learner, bold, brave and wants to win. He has just started competing upto 90cm proving to be one to watch for the future already gaining 1st, 3rd and 4th. I have no doubts this pony will jump foxhunters maybe more. Happily pops bigger fences at home but I’m cautious he is still developing and not to push him.

He hacks perfectly alone or in company and is totally vice free however maxi is a sensitive competition pony so please no novices I would love to see him produced up the levels and do a job. He needs a quiet but confident jockey

Hunter- 5yo 14.3hh Connemara Gelding

Hunter is a full-up 14.3hh, traditionally built Connemara with the most genuine and sweet temperament. Although turning 5 this year in March, he has the brain of an older, wiser horse; truly an old head on young shoulders.

We have owned Hunter since he was an unhandled 2-year-old, and he has been quietly and kindly produced here. Lightly backed as a 3-year-old, he was turned away over winter and brought back into work this spring as a 4 year old and is now ready for an experienced teenager or adult to continue his education. He has been ridden and broken in by 11 and 12 year olds and he is good as gold with them.

He has been schooling, hacking out confidently both alone and in company, attended a Pony Club rally, and been to cross-country schooling outing; all with bravery and honesty.

Hunter is a firm favourite on the yard. He's easy to do, never strong, and has been ridden by our 11-year-old daughter both in the school and out hacking.

He's a joy to have around and adores being fussed and pampered.

Fantastic Potential Competition Pony

Danny is a beautiful 13.3hh Welsh pony, 8 years old, with a fantastic competition record and masses of ability.

He was produced brilliantly by his previous owner and has since continued to prove what a talented pony he is. Danny absolutely loves his jumping, happily jumping 90cm, is very quick against the clock, and has enjoyed plenty of beach rides, showing and general fun. He is a real all-rounder with bags of potential.

Danny is an intelligent, sensitive pony who thrives on a busy, consistent lifestyle. He must live with other ponies (ideally sharing a paddock) and requires 100% turnout with shelter, which suits him perfectly.

After moving to us last year, Danny sadly developed gastric ulcers, which caused a noticeable change in his behaviour-biting and kicking. He has since undergone full treatment, was scoped clear in November, and has enjoyed a winter break. He is a much happier pony now, and I firmly believe the ulcers were caused by stress from the move and my own early inexperience.

Because of this, Danny now needs a confident, knowledgeable home — ideally a competent older teen, young adult or experienced mum — someone patient who understands sensitive ponies and is happy to give him the time and consistency he needs. In the right hands, he will be a truly special competition pony again.

This is a heart-breaking sale, but my daughter has lost confidence and I want to do what’s best for Danny long-term.
