Mango’s sire is the clone Murkhas Gem of the phenomenal 15.2hh 100% thoroughbred Gem Twist, who was ridden by Nick Skelton as well winning 2 silver medals at the ‘88 Seoul Olympics for The USA. In addition he won American Grand Prix  Horse of the Year title no less than 3 times. In 1990 he was named “the Worlds Best Horse” at the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm. 

Mangos 138 dam is a JA class 1 Connemara tested N/N HWD , a winner at 1.10 in Ireland who has 758 sj points. 

She also showed huge aptitude and potential xc when we took her xc schooling for fun and combined with her floating paces (not the connie sewing machine!) , Enormous stride and speed against the clock, she could have equally excelled as an event pony rather than a show jumper. For all her talent and competitiveness she is also the sweetest, easiest pony imaginable which she seems to hv passed on to Mango. Although he has been born chestnut , he is now turning the same colour as his mum who was also born chestnut - ie Liver chestnut w a white fleck , not grey , not roan. 

He clearly has more than inherited his parents aptitude for jumping having already jumped out for fun clearing a 5 bar gate . I think he is 1 of the most charismatic foals iv ever had, he’s got a huge personality and is completely fearless , he’s into everything , very clever and this is coupled with a lovely , kind and friendly nature. He has not been overhandled, Left alone for 1st few weeks to be a foal and then been haltered , taught to lead and feet picked up . 

I would love to see Mango go to a competitive home where he is really going to fulfill his undisputed potential as a proper show jumping 148 or event pony - he is certain to excel in either given the chance. He also has very flashy paces and the potential to be top class whp or dressage pony , but given his charisma and boldness, I think he wld be best suited to eventing or show jumping . Whatever career path he follows He is a very special boy and sure to make a very lucky child’s dreams come true 1 day in the right home.
