We are looking for a new 5 star home for Merlin, 145.5cm 8 year old Bay gelding. A very sweet beautiful pony, with huge talent ready for a new rider to continue his career. He shows three excellent gaits, with a particularly outstanding walk and balanced, expressive canter.

Merlin started his FEI career in Oct 2025 aged 7 being ridden by a 12 year old, attending Premier Leagues and High profile shows with scores up to 72%. He was invited to and attended the 2 international youth camps and was selected for 3 internationals including the final pony team selection trial at Wellington.

Merlin has a sweet and easy temperament and is good to handle in all situations.He is the perfect pony to travel and compete with, he is the same at home and competitions whether a small local show or an international stay away show. He is energetic and has a personality that will make you smile, he loves his work and competitions

Merlin is a true sport pony for children: extremely confident, safe yet responsive to light aids, he has been ridden by a 10 year old and he performed beautifully 

Naturally balanced, he offers an excellent canter, a good trot range, and a good walk.

Merlin is the one of the younger ponies on the current FEI circuit and still has so much more to come as he matures and strengthens. He will be a top international team pony for many years to come

Merlin is currently one of the top ponies in the UK and has only just started his FEI career, what he has achieved in the last year is outstanding and we are now looking for the next talented rider to continue his career.

Merlin is homebred by us at Eastley Stud so we know his full history, He has been recently vet checked with clear eyes and heart and a full set of clean X-Rays which are available on request.

He is sold with his bridle and rugs, his saddle was made for him and is available by separate negotiation.

This stunning pony has competed at pony FEI level, finishing 5th at Vale View in January 2025 and 8th April 2026. He is an established medium dressage pony scoring up to 69%, winning 21 times and up to 72% at elementary winning 15 times in the last two years.

This beautiful boy is very powerful and has 3 lovely balanced paces with a forward thinking attitude who is always happy to work. He is established in all the FEI pony level movements. He attended BD foundation academy in 2024.

Excellent to hack and loves to go out both alone and in company, he is safe on the roads, in traffic and also in open spaces. For variation he enjoys pole work sessions.

He does not buck/rear/nap or have any stable vices.

Easy to handle in all ways and is good for the farrier, bathing, clipping, dentist etc. He travels well in a 3.5 and a 7.5 tonne lorry and will happily stand on the box at competitions whether alone or with a friend. He is good at stay away shows and is impeccably behaved. He is also not phased by the biggest competition environments. Always works in sensibly in the busiest of warm up arenas.

This pony would be suited to a competitive child or a light weight adult.

Dumbledore almost needs no introduction. He is a truly top-end competition pony and schoolmaster, who would be an exceptional opportunity for a rider aiming for BD Youth Home Nations and/or FEI Pony Dressage.

Originally bred for dressage, he became an FEI Eventing Pony before returning to dressage in his mid-teens. His wealth of experience, schooling and wonderful temperament between the boards, make him a very special pony to support a talented young rider in their development, with all the ability to still compete at the highest level.

Dumbledore has been ridden by children from as young as 11 years old at different stages of his career and he has an extraordinary ability to teach his rider, give them the confidence and education to develop their skills.

He was a winner of the Pony Club Open Team in 2023 and placed individually, in only their second test at the level. With his current rider, he has since been competing successfully at BD Youth level, representing the South West at the BD Youth Home Nations (2025); FEI Pony tests (2026) and at the Pony Club Championships (2026), winning the Open warm-up class with 75% and placing top 10 in the Open Championship.

This is a much-loved pony who has given his riders an enormous amount and has been a very special part of their development.

Penguin is a child and parent’s dream. His current 12yo rider has taken him from just backed, to competing in their first elementaries, competing at Petplan National Championship, ICC’s and Youth home nations in just 2 years, with scores up to 73%+ very recently. Penguin is an absolute professional at shows and knows his job very well. He has been entirely produced so far by his current youth rider and is a joy to own and ride and he also loves his hacking. He needs a confident rider to show his full potential, so please no complete novices.

Penguin is starting to train at medium level and would be ready for FEI level next year. He is only available, as he is sadly already hopelessly outgrown, and rider is moving onto horses.

Only the best of homes will be considered as he is a much loved family member and this is a very difficult decision.

Carl has been owned by the same family for the last 5 years, in that time he has been the most fantastic schoolmaster to Sujan his main rider but also to Sujan’s mum and sister, he has competed at every regional championship winter and summer with Sujan from prelim to now elementary whilst also teaching Sujan all the FEI pony moves.

Carl competed internationally at FEI ponies with his previous owner, travelling to Belgium with GB.

With us he has had more of a schoolmaster role but also competed consistently. He is never sick or sorry and is a healthy agile pony. He has usual maintenance for his age. While Carl is a fabulous dressage schoolmaster he is a proper competition pony and not suitable for a complete beginner, he is sensitive and easy on the aids and wants to please. Carl hacks out happily and safely but prefers not to be in front ( he will but likes another horse ideally)

Carl loads on any lorry and has always been an absolute pleasure at stay away shows.

Sadly sujan has now totally outgrown Carl and it’s vital to find a kind loving home for this much loved pony. Carl is always the first horse on the yard to call out in the morning and is a real character, a yard favourite who will be much missed. Carl competed at Bury farm regionals producing a lovely fluent test at elementary silver.
