The mother’s dream, the schoolmaster, the “why on earth are they selling this?!” type, the one you’ve considered having more kids for..

Specs:

* Approx 12 - 13hh

* Gelding preferred (a non-mareish mare absolutely welcome - no prejudice here, just mild emotional scarring from one hormonal diva already in residence)

The rider:

A small 9 year old with a beautiful seat and hands, currently popping around 50cm out, 60cm + at home on a saintly type.

However…

Said child is not here for mind games, life lessons, or character-building via being launched into next year.

We are seeking confidence, not chaos.

Job description for said unicorn:

* Take child safely from 50cm up to ~70cm without drama.

* Attend Pony Club, school teams, hacking adventures

* Be a best friend, therapist, and occasional babysitter

* Be 100% in open spaces (we live on a farm - no hedges to cling to here, just vibes and fields)

* Hack alone and in company like it’s a gentle stroll through a Jane Austen novel

* Preferably the type that, when faced with excitement, thinks:

“Absolutely not, I am a professional.”

Personality required:

* Kind

* Forgiving

* Mannerly

* Unflappable

* Has absolutely nothing left to prove to anyone

The home:

* Experienced, knowledgeable, and slightly obsessive

* Farm with turnout, routine, and a varied life

* Supported by vets, physios, saddlers, instructors… and emotional support WhatsApp groups

* This pony will want for nothing

We fully appreciate this is a big ask and these ponies are usually kept under lock and key…

Looking for a safe, sane, pony for 3 generations of our family to enjoy hacking and low level Riding Club activities.

Must be safe in traffic and around farm animals, machinery and dogs. Nothing that naps, bucks, kicks, bolts etc. Can be a pony stepping down. Definitely not a youngster.

Ideally a pony with a leg in each corner type, but not a kick along.

Preferably between 10-15yrs old, 14hh-14.3hh

Based in West Sussex, we have our own stables and land, and the pony would want for nothing.

Seeking my next perfect pony! Must haves between - 14.2h and 15.2h, between - 6 and 15 , although would change for the perfect one.

Needs to be within 2 and a half hours of Derbyshire. would go further for the perfect one

MUST be safe around traffic , farm machinery , farm animals ( as I live on a farm ), happy hacking , schooling , fun rides , smaller jumps , local shows - showing , dressage etc

All year round turn out on private land , living with a Connie gelding and mini Shetland gelding ( can be in separate field)

Massive stables roughly 4 times bigger than an average one ! videos and pictures can be provided

Lots of land to hack around.

My preferred breed is a chunky traditional Connemara just because I love the breed so much my previous Connemara gave me so much but he is retired now , but would consider something else that fits the bill , but Connies really are my fav !

I previously had a bad accident with my last pony on the road with a tractor and my confidence is very low , it's very important that my next pony is very safe confidence giver. I am aware no horse is perfect but I don't want anything sharp or spooky and nothing that bolts , rears or bucks , strong etc

I would prefer no health issues but if it's something slight I will consider.
more must haves are good loading , good for farrier , dentist , for leading and for the vet.

I have had weekly dressage lessons for over a year and then monthly lessons with jumping the year before , spent a lot of time hacking ,before my accident. I have had horses for many years and was a competent rider until my accident where I lost confidence.

I am aware this is a lot to ask for but I know somewhere they must be one for me :) genuine 10 star home awaits thanks !
