Photo for attention (rider being the girl this pony is for)

Wanted as a best friend and confidence giver for nervous 12 year old. We would love to do some low-level showing , but mostly wanted for fun, and a variety of disciplines.

Absolutely must be safe in all ways, and sensible. Age/colour immaterial, it is all about temperament.

The pony in question would want for nothing, and we can offer a wonderful home.

Based in the north west but willing to travel within reason.

Sensible budget, but trial period preferred!

“Buie” is a fantastic stamp of a Highland Pony - he oozes the traditional pony characteristics associated with the breed, coupled with a unique athleticism that sees him regularly compete in open working hunter pony classes, and he currently events up to BE80.

He has a lovely pony head and outlook, a strong short coupled frame with a fabulous shoulder and matching hind quarters, and quality flat bone. Buie has a nice quiet nature and is regularly admired in all of his endeavours.

He consistently jumps double clears in his British Eventing classes, he’s qualified for the RIHS 143cm M&M WHP 2024 final, he was 2nd under saddle at the 2022 Royal Highland Show, and he was the Novice WHP Champion at the 2022 BSPS Heritage Championship Show. He has recently stepped into the open WHP classes with ease.

Buie is available to a limited number of mares for fresh and chilled AI services.

He is standing at Ivy House Stables near Penrith where they have a wealth of experience and fantastic veterinary links. Ivy House Stables are within a 10 minute drive of junction 41 of the M6 motorway.

"Brighde" is an eye catching Silver Bay. Broken as a 5yo, proving to be a lovely athletic mover with a willing attitude she started her ridden career as a 6yo, winning at The Royal Highland Show.

Then starting her open career in 2022, qualifying for RIHS by going champion at the BSPS Spring show, and continuing on in 2023 where she was winner at the Highland pony breed show, qualifying for HOYS.

Brighde is regularly placed in all RIHS/HOYS qualifiers, including The Royal Highland and Great Yorkshire, frequently standing top mare. She was the only mare to qualify HOYS 2023!

In 2024 she was 5th at the Royal Highland Show in her first junior ridden class, continuing this on to stand 2nd on equal marks at North of England summer show

She has shown a love for jumping but equally would excel in the dressage arena.

Maggie was backed with us last year and has since had the winter off before coming back into work to find a new home!

3 lovely paces and is very naturally balanced under saddle. Forward off the leg but good breaks.

Would be suited to a small adult or teenager, would also make a fabulous junior pony with a capable child. She would also make a fantastic broodmare with her exceptional breeding.

The sweetest temperament, has been ridden and handled by kids. Good to do in all ways on the ground. Loves being brushed and bathed and fussed!

She’s bold and non spooky, has been to arena hires and popped a few jumps with fillers with ease. Would be a fab workers prospect. Very easy to take out and is the same at home as she is out and about!

Hacks alone or in company, isn’t phased and will happily lead nervous horses. Great in open spaces.

Great to travel

Happily lives in or out

Super sad sale of a lovely mare but her owner sadly doesn’t have time for her and her children’s ponies are taking priority so Maggie is being wasted! 5 star home is a must and we can’t wait to see her progress with her new rider!
