Incredible opportunity to purchase a potential top class native dressage pony with 3 elastic paces, exceptional hind leg and huge walk. Forward thinking but super safe, loves to work

Competing at novice (scoring 8’s) with scores of 70% + with an amateur rider. Training elementary and above, offering clean changes each way, ready to affiliate now and would fly up the levels

Loves to hack, super safe in all traffic and any situation. He has had a well rounded education taking part in flat and in hand showing, WH, SJ, dressage, hunting and fun rides. A gentleman in open spaces, goes through water, he loves all other animals including dogs

Loads and travels in a trailer / 3.5t / 7.5t alone or in company, stands on the box all day at a competition. Fab to clip, bath, shoe, in the stable, tack up, lead, catch etc he really is a super star, doesn’t hot up if staying away, loves attention.

Extremely athletic for his breed, he gives the most comfortable armchair ride whilst being very rideable / adjustable, lots of sit in the canter

Can hop straight back on after his winter break without any fuss, truly easy to have around

Snaffle mouthed for absolutely everything, never strong.

Currently stabled at a dressage yard, in full work, competition fit and ready to go.

Heartbreaking sale as my passion is flat showing so he is truly wasted as his forte is dressage, and due to a busy career I simply don’t have the time to do both

Only available to the perfect home (I must be mad!), references will be sought

“Buie” is a fantastic stamp of a Highland Pony - he oozes the traditional pony characteristics associated with the breed, coupled with a unique athleticism that sees him regularly compete in open working hunter pony classes, and he currently events up to BE80.

He has a lovely pony head and outlook, a strong short coupled frame with a fabulous shoulder and matching hind quarters, and quality flat bone. Buie has a nice quiet nature and is regularly admired in all of his endeavours.

He consistently jumps double clears in his British Eventing classes, he’s qualified for the RIHS 143cm M&M WHP 2024 final, he was 2nd under saddle at the 2022 Royal Highland Show, and he was the Novice WHP Champion at the 2022 BSPS Heritage Championship Show. He has recently stepped into the open WHP classes with ease.

Buie is available to a limited number of mares for fresh and chilled AI services.

He is standing at Ivy House Stables near Penrith where they have a wealth of experience and fantastic veterinary links. Ivy House Stables are within a 10 minute drive of junction 41 of the M6 motorway.
