11.2, registered Welsh Section A, 19 years young been there and done it all.
Gracie has been both of my daughters best friend for the past 7.5 years. In that time, she has been a lead rein, first ridden and most recently a fun all rounder for my youngest daughter, but is now very sadly outgrown. Gracie has taken both of my girls safely off the lead rein, taught them to ride and has been an absolute pleasure to own.
We have done shows, PC rallies, camps, lessons and hacking and she has proven time and time again to be unflappable and dependable. She is incredibly patient, good in open spaces, happy to go forward when asked and always comes back safely. She has been super for ‘pony swaps’ at PC camps and has given countless friends ‘pony rides’ - I trust her implicitly.
Gracie has heaps of character and is good to do in all ways - handle, load, clip, catch, shoe, vets etc. Amazing to hack - not spooky and excellent in traffic. Usually behind as she has the smallest legs and I never have to worry about her with my youngest plodding along at the back. Always leads past spooky things when my horse is being silly!
When we bought Gracie she was very slow jumping. When faced with a jump she would simply (and very carefully) steady up and step over it. Her current rider has taught her to fly and she is absolutely loving her new found wings. That said, I am not looking for a jumping home, but rather a family who want a LR initially so she can step back down and teach a new little person the ropes.
Gracie does have some easily managed health issues. A mild case of lami last year, led to her being tested positive for Cushings and EMS. Both are under control and manageable, but she is currently not on grass. She also requires soaked hay all year round. Happy to discuss further and our vet is also happy to speak to serious buyers.
Full history known and I’m still in contact with previous owner, who were also a PC home.
No time wasters. This is a heartbreaking sale as we all adore this pony and my youngest in particular is understandably very sad. All homes will be thoroughly vetted and we would prefer that she stayed relatively local in Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire, so that we could stay in touch and visit from time to time. Will consider further afield for the right home.
£4,500 including a full wardrobe of rugs, saddle and bridle.
