He is confident hacking alone or in company, sensible in open spaces and has seen plenty of different situations. He is straightforward to handle, easy to do and has no vices or known issues.

He was originally purchased with eventing in mind but due to a change in circumstances following the arrival of a baby, I am now looking for something more specifically geared towards showjumping. This is a genuine sale and absolutely no reflection on the horse.

Please kindly note that I do not have an arena at home. Viewers are very welcome to meet him, hack him, and, if ground conditions allow, try him over some jumps on the field. Alternatively, if you are a genuinely serious buyer, I am happy to transport him to an arena, with the arena hire costs covered by the buyer.

He is more of a leg on type of horse and needs a confident, experienced rider who gives him clear instructions. If the rider isn’t clear or confident with him, he will take advantage and simply won’t go forward so please only enquire if you are genuinely interested and suitable for him. Having said that when out and about leg on isn’t needed as much and he has more of a spring in his step!

16hh Irish 6yo Mare, a truly beautiful type with the personality to match.

Iris works nicely on the flat is well schooled with three rhythmic paces and light in the hand, always snaffle mouthed. Scores very well within the dressage boards being naturally eye catching showing great potential for this sphere.

Jumping she is bold and careful yet honest, going off any stride, she will jump anything put in front of her taking care of her rider from start to finish. Iris has been to cross country arena schooling with a teenage 14 year old girl where she really excelled herself. Was completely unfazed, jumping solid fences, ditches brushes, banks, steps and happily walked through the water!

She has also been out to arena hires/training shows for show jumping once again unfazed jumping fillers water trays or busy collecting rings etc. A very straightforward genuine ride always wanting to please the rider, a more forward ride so with time can see no reason why she wouldn’t easily be within the placings.

She loves hacking and would go all day, hacks alone and in company, first or last. Good in traffic and open spaces, stays in a rhythm that the rider is comfortable with, never silly or strong, unfazed by buses bikes etc also good with deer sheep etc.

Iris is good to do in all ways, she has the most affectionate and loving personality. Enjoys spending time with you, being groomed and fussed. A real kind level headed genuine mare that is a pleasure to own.
