16.1hh Bay Warmblood Gelding – Smart All-Rounder / Grassroots Event Prospect

Cookie is a lovely 16.1hh bay Warmblood gelding with a kind temperament and a fantastic attitude to work. He is a true gentleman to handle and is a pleasure to do absolutely everything with, making him a much-loved horse to have around the yard.

On the flat he is established and enjoyable to ride, working nicely with shoulder-in, leg yield, balanced transitions and flying changes. He is straightforward and willing, making him equally enjoyable for schooling or riding club activities.

He will happily jump a 1m track and is bold and genuine cross-country. With a previous owner he competed at BE100 level, consistently finishing in the placings. Since being with us, Cookie has thoroughly enjoyed adult camps, clinics, showjumping, hunter trials, beach rides and hunt rides, taking every new experience in his stride.

He hacks happily alone, is sensible in traffic and is an all-round pleasure to take out and about. He has also been on hound exercise and hunt rides, proving mannerly and unfazed, and will begin hunting this season if still with us.

Cookie would suit a competent teenager or an adult looking for a quality riding club horse or grassroots event prospect. He is also smart enough to make a lovely ladies’ hunter.

In the stable, Cookie can occasionally display a very subtle boredom-related stable vice, usually when waiting for his dinner. It’s minimal, and you’ll see him not doing it far more than you ever will. We believe in being completely honest, and this has never affected his ridden work, management or enjoyment.

HE CAN SWALLOW AIR.

Hardly ever does it but when hes bored he pops his bottom lip on the door and swallows air. Never grabs hold and it isnt an addiction you barely notice it.

Put a grill up on the door and he doesnt do it.

IF THIS SCARES YOU MOVE ON.!!!!

Very seldom but needs mentioning. A lot of horse for the money.

He has no other vices, no lumps, bumps or sarcoids. He has previously passed a vetting and is open to any inspection or vetting. Delivery can be arranged.

Cookie is a genuinely lovely character with a kind nature and is enormous fun to own. He is sensibly priced to find the right home.

Sensible enough for a competent brave balanced novice but wouldnt be wanting him to go solely to a novice yard due to his age, breed and size.

Is not going to suit older lady. Is not going to suit kid coming straight off pony’s. No dressage homes - I don’t have a school for you to try him in. No pony patters.

If you’re not happy or brave enough to ride in a suitable, level & well maintained field please don’t come.

Tigger – 15.1hh, 17yo Chestnut Gelding

Tigger is a super fun, loving little horse who is truly Tigger by name and Tigger by nature!

Standing at approximately 15.1hh, Tigger is a 17-year-old chestnut gelding with lots of life and fun still left in him, so please don’t be put off by his age. He is a happy, forward-going boy with a fantastic personality and not a bad bone in his body.

Tigger hacks alone or in company and enjoys getting out and about. He does prefer having a horse friend nearby, particularly when stabled, and is happiest when he has a buddy around for company. He has previously attended festival ride-outs and could get quite excited in company, but was never unsafe.

He is a very loving little horse who really appreciates having a special person of his own. He thrives on building a good relationship with his human and would love someone who wants to develop a genuine partnership and enjoy his wonderful zest for life.

He could potentially suit the right experienced home looking for a fun horse for low-level dressage, riding club activities, hacking and general enjoyment. He is a character who may occasionally “Tigger” on the spot in the field, but this is very much part of his quirky, fun personality!

Experienced home only – no novices, please. Tigger is a forward-going, enthusiastic boy who needs a confident, experienced rider who will enjoy his energy and joie de vivre.

He is a very special little horse who will give his heart to the right person. A loving, knowledgeable home is essential.

14h, 19 years young Connie. Very sadly outgrown.

King is a pony club super star, competing at SJ and eventing and coming home with ribbons every time. He’s done many regional champs in both disciplines and is always placed at or near the top. In the last 2 years, he’s taken our daughter from 50-60cm local classes on her old pony to her dream of competing at BE - placed in top 10 in every competition they’ve entered, always double clear. King is an absolute machine out XC and a safe pair of hands, always an absolute professional when out at events. He’s done camps, national hunter trial champs, Spring Festival champs, inter-hunt relay, hound exercising, fun rides etc.. there really isn’t anything he hasn’t done and done well at! Dressage is not his favourite thing to do, and unfortunately not his rider’s either, but is scoring low to mid 30’s in eventing dressage.

Quirks: King is good to hack and does so regularly - but he doesn’t like tractors (weirdly, never bats an eye lid at anything else!). He does crib on fences & stable doors if given the opportunity - this has never affected his health. He has arthritis, managed with yearly steroid injections (currently up to date with these).

King is up to date with teeth, vacc, physio, saddle fitter etc and will come with his tack. He’s fit and competing most weekends currently. ready to have fun with his next owner.

This pony is VERY special and we are looking for the very best home, someone who has experience of looking after older ponies and who is happy to keep on top of their maintenance is essential. My daughter is now 15 years old and 5ft 4”, so he’d be ideally suited to a slightly smaller but capable rider who is looking to progress through the levels and gain confidence with a very experienced pony. King is comfortable at 80cm and will happily pop around the odd 90, but that is his limit.

Amenon Is an 11yr old, Thoroughbred gelding.

Has done and is still eligible for P2P.

2nd in his last race in April.

Just over 40k in prize money under rules.

He’s been seen with the hounds.

Will happily pop round a course of showjumps or cross country jumps.

He’s been on multiple fun/farm rides.

His level headedness and his love for cuddles just tops off his true gentleman character.

I have had Amenon here with me for 2 months now and can honestly truly say I have never once had an issue he is a teenagers dream if they want to go and do a bit of everything and their parents know they are safe. Or even someone with a plan of racing and wants to start with PTP there is no reason at all why he can’t still do this.

Reduced to a reasonable £4500 for this horse who will certainly be very missed around any yard he has been on.

Video is from a couple months ago fresh videos will be taken over the coming days. Now he is fit and ready to go.

Location is near Bangor-on-Dee, Wrexham

  • Ideal working hunter pony
  • Perfect for a competitive home

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we offer our much-loved Belchford Fergal (Fergie) for sale. Fergie is a registered Welsh Section C with a green passport and fantastic breeding. He turned 7 at the end of April and has been slowly and carefully produced since we bought him as a 4-year-old.

During his time with us, Fergie has enjoyed a varied education and has attended Pony Club camp, shows, clinics, fun rides, cross-country schooling and show jumping competitions. He hacks confidently both alone and in company and has seen plenty, giving him a solid foundation to continue progressing.

He is a pleasure to do in every way and is good to travel, shoe, clip, load and for the dentist. He is fully up to date with vaccinations, physio, dentist and farrier, so he is ready for his next adventure.

Fergie has also spent time with a respected local producer to further his education and has shown just how much potential he has in the right hands.

He is not suitable for a novice or nervous rider. As a young Welsh pony, he takes confidence from his rider and will thrive with a confident, competent teenager or small adult who can continue his education and enjoy bringing out the best in him. He has all the ability to be a fantastic all-rounder for someone willing to invest time in him.

On the ground, Fergie is a lovely, well-mannered pony with a kind nature. He is still a young horse, so his education is ongoing, but he has a genuine attitude and so much untapped potential.

Fergie is happiest living with geldings and not a mixed herd.

This is an extremely difficult decision, and finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale. A genuine five-star home is an absolute must for this very special boy, where he will be loved and continue to fulfil the potential we know he has.

Serious enquiries only, please

Milo is 14-year-old 14hh New Forest x

He is a second/competition pony who genuinely loves his jumping. Currently comfortably jumping 70–80cm courses with a relatively novice rider, but he really thrives as the fences get bigger. He is brave, scopey and careful, and would happily be competitive up to 1m with a confident, capable jockey.

Qualified Sunshine Tour (did NSEA in previous home)
Attended clinics/arena hires
Cross-country schooled and thoroughly enjoys it
Dressage competition winner, with lovely rhythm and way of going.
He would be a great ODE pony.

He has a soft mouth (in a rubber nathe) balanced paces and a very rhythmical canter, making him a pleasure to ride. He does need a jockey who is secure and balanced in their seat to get the best from him so wouldn’t suit a novice.

Will hack alone or in company and is good in open spaces and in traffic.

Good to catch, box, shoe, clip. Up to date with teeth, vaccinations.

He is currently barefooted as he has great feet but has also had front shoes on when hacking on roads. He would suit a Pony Club, NSEA or competition home where he can continue doing what he loves most — jumping and having a job.

He is a genuine, talented pony who will make his next rider very happy. Fit and ready to go.

Good home only.
Open to any vetting.

A one-bedroom guest suite with en-suite bathroom is accessed directly from the spa complex and has access to the outdoor area.

The gardens surrounding the house are beautifully landscaped, comprising manicured lawns, flower beds, ponds and orchards. Horse topiary planting and well-maintained formal gardens further enhance the setting.

Completing the gardens and grounds is a tennis court, golf driving range and sand bunker and helipad.

Stable Cottage - A single-storey, three-bedroom cottage; the accommodation includes a large open-plan kitchen and living area, bathroom and three generous double bedrooms. The property also benefits from an electric AGA and is ideally suited for secondary accommodation, guest use or staff occupation.

Pavilion Cottage - A one-bedroom annexe comprising an open-plan kitchen and living area together with a generous double bedroom. Double doors open onto the tennis court and orchard, making it ideal for guests or staff accommodation.

The Parkin Manor Estate is exceptionally well equipped for equestrian use, with an impressive range of high-quality facilities accessed from the principal yard and via two separate gated entrances off Park Lane. The estate offers first-class equestrian amenities and are currently used for private training use. These facilities are also suited for bloodstock, polo, showjumping, eventing, dressage or racing purposes (subject to the correct consents).

The principal yard comprises a modern ‘U-shaped’ brick stable block including 12 stables with fixed rubber matting, two secure tack rooms, feed stores, Monarch horse walker and workshop/garage. A secondary block of three additional stables together with a tack room, washroom and security office lies adjacent to Stable Cottage.

Directly adjoining both yards is a well-maintained outdoor manège (34m x 20m) complete with all-weather CLOPF fibre surface and floodlights. A second outdoor manège (60m x 40m) finished with an all-weather CLOPF fibre surface and floodlights, is situated on the estate drive and away from the main yard. Post and rail turnout paddocks are directly accessible from the yard and serviced by mains water and connected via a hardcore access track. A number of cross-country fences are positioned throughout the estate, providing further enjoyment opportunities.

A range of agricultural buildings provide useful general storage for equestrian and machinery use. This includes an open fronted, part timber-clad five-bay barn with hardstanding, currently utilised for additional mare and foal stabling, situated in the centre of the estate.

Extending to approximately 278 acres (112 ha) in total, The Parkin Manor Estate enjoys an attractive, private setting.

Productive, level grassland adjoins the house and stables and is divided into a range of paddocks. The paddock land currently utilised for equestrian purposes extends to approximately 55 acres (22 ha). The land benefits from good access from the main estate drive and also a number of roadside access points. The arable land extends to approximately 141 acres (57 ha) and is currently laid to temporary grass leys and winter wheat. The boundaries are formed by mature hedgerows with a further 22 acres (9 ha) of grassland used for grazing purposes. Woodland, known as Bog Rough, extends to approximately 43 acres (17 ha) and comprises attractive mixed mature woodland, forming a natural boundary along the eastern edge of the estate. A family shoot is run over the estate with areas of cover crop.

Part of the land is farmed in conjunction with a Contract Farming Agreement (CFA) and a Farm Business Tenancy (FBT); further details are available from the Vendor’s agent
