  • The ideal choice for an ambitious rider looking to develop a 1.20+ eventer or showjumperr

King- a serious athlete with a future in upper level showjumping & eventing competitions

King is a 15h rising 5yo purebred dapple grey Connemara gelding with all Class 1 breeding

He shows unbelievable ability over fences, effortlessly schooling 1.20 with our rider with room for more

King is consistently very careful and honest to jump, regardless of the height. He is forgiving to rider errors, has a tireless work ethic, and truly loves to jump

He does best in a consistent program and enjoys forming a bond with one or two riders. He will run to greet you in the field and knicker when he sees you

He is outgoing, friendly, and enthusiastic; he loves going new places and is very self-confident, never spooky, and sensible to hack alone or in company

King always goes in a snaffle and is easy to adjust to a fence and ride in the contact

He is naturally forward-going, ‘more go than woah’ and sensitive to the aids without ever being bold. He has no buck or spook whatsoever and is very focused when jumping.

We have yet to find a fence he is intimidated by! He has no issue with water, fillers, liverpools, ditches, coffins, etc. He is extremely brave and will make a serious competition horse.

King has hunted and proves to be well behaved in open fields and around the hounds

Due to his athletic nature and consistent, careful technique over the fence, we do feel King is best suited to a rider who is comfortable on competition-type horses. His powerful jump could be intimidating for a novice, and he thrives best in a consistent work program.

We believe King is the ideal choice for an ambitious rider looking to develop a 1.20+ eventer or showjumper. He has a loveable, kind character and extreme talent for the top of the sport. We look forward to seeing him compete in the future!

King is straightforward to shoe, load, plait, wash, catch, and hack alone or in company. He is an athletic horse and not suited to those unaccustomed to riding and handling competition-types.

He has no vices, lumps or bumps and is open to any vetting.

  • Lot No 117 at McCartneys Welsh Pony and Cob sale 17/10/2026

Mystery was our pick from the dispersal sale of Welsh Cobs from the late Eirian Thomas’s renowned Llanwnnen Stud, purchased at Llanybydder Mart. His connection to Eirian and the Llanwnnen legacy makes him especially meaningful to us. We feel privileged to have him and are committed to giving him the very best care, education and opportunities. Above all, we hope to fulfil Eirian’s vision and honour the enduring legacy of Llanwnen Stud.

Since coming to us, Mystery has been brought on slowly and correctly, progressing from basic handling to now riding away confidently. He has attended a show, where he won his class and went on to take Champion, as well as gaining valuable experience through arena hires and cross-country schooling.

Mystery was broken to ride in spring 2026 before being turned away for the summer to mature. He has now been back in work for the past two months and is continuing to progress well. He is happy to hack alone or in company and has also seen traffic, proving himself sensible, genuine and willing in everything that has been asked of him.

Mystery has lovely, balanced paces and correct, eye-catching conformation, giving him all the attributes to excel in the show ring. His presence, movement and attitude make him an exciting prospect for someone looking to produce a quality Welsh Cob for the future.

Although Mystery is incredibly genuine and willing, we would not consider him suitable for a novice at this stage. We feel he would be best suited to a confident, sympathetic rider who can continue his education and help him develop his confidence and experience. He has a lovely attitude to his work and we are excited to see what the future holds for him.

Currently unshod as she has great feet she measures slightly under 16.1hh.

Please what’s app for a chat.

As she is homebred I know her entire history and she has had the best start in life

She was backed last year and then given time to mature correctly and has been produced slowly and carefully

She is good to hack and is used to tractors and heavy farm machinery as we live on a busy farm.

She has also been away for a few wekks schooling away from home to give her chance to see more of the world.

13 hands 6years beautiful piebald mare.

We are so sad about writing this but the time has come. This girl has been with us for a year now, and is definitely ready to move on. We are a loaning yard and she has taught many to canter or jump and she has definitely done her job. She is easy and straightforward and all the girls adore her.

She can take a wobbly unbalanced rider or nervous rider to a more experienced child. All these rider still have the best ride.

She has seen all fillers and been to many local shows she is truly fabulous easy around others and will jump any line or filler. Jumps regularly in classes from poles on the floor up to 60cms.

She has seen the hound and been on hound exercise and she again she was amazing.

My girls do everything with our ponies and no small adults around here. They are straight forward and well produced and seen every situation. The girls tack up and catch and groom by themselves and clover is such a good girl.

Clover hacks out on main roads and is use to farm traffic and she is golden. She swims in the river Avon and in open spaces.

Clover has been cross country and absolutely loves this and jumps everything.

Clover is ready to go teach her next child the ropes. If you are looking for a pony for confidence she is your girl or to step up from 30cms- bigger courses she is your girl.

Clover has no medical history and is an easy girl to look after.

The welcoming entrance hall features exposed timber beams, brick detailing, flagstone flooring and fireplace forming an attractive focal point to the house. At ground floor level, the entrance hall leads to a well-appointed bespoke family kitchen by renowned designer Clive Christian. Exposed timber beams and natural stone flooring complement bespoke cabinetry, marble work surfaces with an AGA and integrated appliances including a teppanyaki hot plate, while the central island provides excellent space for informal dining and entertaining. A useful utility room and laundry room adjoin the kitchen. The kitchen flows into a generous open-plan morning room with double doors opening onto the south-facing outdoor terrace area and swimming pool.

An elegant and impressive dining room is accessed from the morning room and also the main entrance hall and provides a fantastic space for formal entertaining with an open fireplace and French doors to the formal gardens. Located off the main entrance hall is the study with ornate wood panelling and fireplace and a cosy snug with wood burner, both forming part of the original property.

On the first floor, a spacious landing leads to five well-proportioned double bedrooms. The principal suite designed by Clive Christian, includes a large walk-in dressing room, en-suite bathroom with mirror television, and a private balcony enjoying views across the gardens and surrounding land. Two further bedrooms benefit from en-suites, while an additional bedroom suite positioned at the end of the landing includes both a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom, creating an ideal guest suite. A further double bedroom and large Clive Christian family bathroom complete the first-floor accommodation. All bedrooms benefit from an air handling system, while the bathrooms feature underfloor heating.

Located on the ground floor beyond the kitchen is the cinema room which provides an exceptional entertainment space, while the adjoining garden room, overlooking the swimming pool links the outdoor entertaining terrace and wider leisure complex.

The entertainment suite, known as “The 19th Hole”, offers a relaxed country club-style setting incorporating a full-sized bar, games room with a pool table and wine cellar with capacity for approximately 2,500 bottles. At first floor level from the games room is an additional double bedroom, ideal for guest accommodation.

The spa facilities include a sauna, steam room and changing facilities.

A one-bedroom guest suite with en-suite bathroom is accessed directly from the spa complex and has access to the outdoor area.

The gardens surrounding the house are beautifully landscaped, comprising manicured lawns, flower beds, ponds and orchards. Horse topiary planting and well-maintained formal gardens further enhance the setting.

Extensive entertaining terraces together with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area provide excellent space for alfresco dining and social occasions and include the heated swimming pool.

Completing the gardens and grounds is a tennis court, golf driving range and sand bunker and helipad.

Stable Cottage - A single-storey, three-bedroom cottage; the accommodation includes a large open-plan kitchen and living area, bathroom and three generous double bedrooms. An additional living room with double doors overlooks and provides access to the outdoor manège. The property also benefits from an electric AGA and is ideally suited for secondary accommodation, guest use or staff occupation.

The Parkin Manor Estate is exceptionally well equipped for equestrian use, with an impressive range of high-quality facilities accessed from the principal yard and via two separate gated entrances off Park Lane. The estate offers first-class equestrian amenities and are currently used for private training use. These facilities are also suited for bloodstock, polo, showjumping, eventing, dressage or racing purposes (subject to the correct consents).

The principal yard comprises a modern ‘U-shaped’ brick stable block including 12 stables with fixed rubber matting, two secure tack rooms, feed stores, Monarch horse walker and workshop/garage. A secondary block of three additional stables together with a tack room, washroom and security office lies adjacent to Stable Cottage.

Directly adjoining both yards is a well-maintained outdoor manège (34m x 20m) complete with all-weather CLOPF fibre surface and floodlights. A second outdoor manège (60m x 40m) finished with an all-weather CLOPF fibre surface and floodlights, is situated on the estate drive and away from the main yard. Post and rail turnout paddocks are directly accessible from the yard and serviced by mains water and connected via a hardcore access track. A number of cross-country fences are positioned throughout the estate, providing further enjoyment opportunities.

A range of agricultural buildings provide useful general storage for equestrian and machinery use. This includes an open fronted, part timber-clad five-bay barn with hardstanding, currently utilised for additional mare and foal stabling, situated in the centre of the estate.

Extending to approximately 278 acres (112 ha) in total, The Parkin Manor Estate enjoys an attractive, private setting.

Productive, level grassland adjoins the house and stables and is divided into a range of paddocks. The paddock land currently utilised for equestrian purposes extends to approximately 55 acres (22 ha). The land benefits from good access from the main estate drive and also a number of roadside access points. The arable land extends to approximately 141 acres (57 ha) and is currently laid to temporary grass leys and winter wheat. The boundaries are formed by mature hedgerows with a further 22 acres (9 ha) of grassland used for grazing purposes. Woodland, known as Bog Rough, extends to approximately 43 acres (17 ha) and comprises attractive mixed mature woodland, forming a natural boundary along the eastern edge of the estate. A family shoot is run over the estate with areas of cover crop.

Part of the land is farmed in conjunction with a Contract Farming Agreement (CFA) and a Farm Business Tenancy (FBT); further details are available from the Vendor’s agent

Tom is 15.2h rising 5yo Irish Sport Cob with extraordinarily cool markings and an easygoing approach to life.

He has a friendly, mellow personality, striking tricolour markings, and a super jump! He is totally unphased by new places, new jumps, traffic etc. and loves hacking alone. He is also excellent to hack with others, good in traffic, around machinery and cows

Tom is schooled beautifully with a dressage trainer on the flat, and is soft in the contact. He is slightly more woah than go, never strong or hot. Our rider says he always goes in a loose ring snaffle.

He has been competing in 80s classes at training shows with good results. He is an excellent, safe choice for a riding club adult or teen to compete with.

Cross country is really his time to shine, as he is exceptionally brave without getting strong or excited. He is never bold or spooky, has no issue with water, drains, coffins, etc.

Due to his consistent quietness and versatility, we think Tom will make an ideal riding club or riding school horse, or a low level competition partner for an adult amateur.

Tom is easy to shoe, catch, load, plait, wash, etc. with no vices, quirks, lumps or bumps.

He is open to any vetting

  • Very talented jumper
  • Has been lightly backed and turned away
  • Would be a fantastic hunter

Wilma is exceptionally well bred for showjumping out of the renowned stallion Grandorado TN. She has 3 very smart paces and a fantastic jump. She is beautifully put together and an athletic, blood type. She had xrays and vetting done when we bought her originally.

She has been backed and ridden away, done some XC schooling and showjumping at home. She has hacked alone and in company. Wilma was very good to get on, has been good for the farrier when shod and has a nice nature in the stable. Turns out with others, as has been known to jump out and it doesn't seem to matter how high the fence is! Once she came back from being broken she has since been turned away to allow time to grow into herself as I do not have time to put into her, so she will need to be restarted from the field, but she was broken fairly late, so she has not been out of work for months. I think she would really benefit from a seasons hunting due to her not having seen a huge amount this summer.

She could be a lovely horse for someone and I think she would flourish in a showjumping home.

A defining feature of Parkin Manor Estate is its extensive leisure offering, which includes a state-of-the-art spa complex including indoor swimming pool with atmospheric lighting and jacuzzi, together with a fully equipped gymnasium with surround sound system and indoor waterfall feature.
