Successfully shown as a youngster affiliated and un-affiliated. He was BSPA In Hand reserve champion at Suffolk County as 3 year old. With his striking markings and moving for fun, he's always in the ribbons. I feel he would excel in the show ring, has huge potential as a juniors worker.

Slowly backed last year as a 4yo, ridden around a local show ground then turned away. Rum was bought back into work late spring/early summer this year. He is a forward moving little chap, who only wants to please. But I am already struggling to find time to consistently work him. He is currently lightly schooling and hacking having had the odd lesson and jump this year.

He has been backed slowly and correctly has walk/trot/canter in the school. Hacks alone and in company (although still requires confidence on his own) But he's learning more and gaining confidence everytime he goes out.

Rum has done a little bit of jumping last year and this year showing real potential, being bold to a fence, unphased by colours, trays etc.

His sire has been to HOYS/RI/Olympia on the flat and HOYS as a worker and turns his hoof to anything. His dam jumped around BE with scope to burn.

He is green, he is a baby. He's keen and forward going. He's never reared or bolted but he'll throw some bucks while he's learning how to use his body. But you could not find a more genuinely kind, sweet natured pony wanting to learn.

Very sad sale due to a change in circumstances. I’ve owned Kevin for the past 8 years, so this is a very difficult decision. I’m looking for the best home where he can go and do a job.

Kevin has done a bit of everything over the years including dressage, showjumping, XC and fun rides. Works in a lovely contact with 3 balanced paces and has previously competed in dressage with good results.

Cross country is where he really comes into his own. He’s brave, genuine and absolutely loves it. He has plenty of scope over a fence and has comfortably jumped bigger tracks in the past. Showjumping hasn’t been my focus for a number of years, so he hasn’t competed recently, but he has all the ability and would suit someone wanting to bring him back on in this area. He is currently only in light jumping work at home.

Kevin is a bigger-built Thoroughbred with a lovely topline and is an excellent doer. He carries his condition well and is regularly mistaken for a Warmblood.

Kevin has exceptional ground manners and is an absolute pleasure to have around. He’s incredibly polite and easy to handle—you can bathe him loose without a headcollar and he’ll happily stand without moving. Tell him to wait in his stable and he’ll stand quietly at the door while you disappear to make a cup of tea. He’ll even spin in a circle on command when it’s dinner time! He really is a big, lovable dope to handle.

Good to catch, shoe, clip, load, travel and for the dentist. Hacks alone and in company and is bomb proof in all road and farm traffic.

Kevin thrives on a routine. With regular work and plenty of turnout he’s a lovely, straightforward horse. If he’s out of consistent work, he can become fresh, so he is best suited to a competent rider who will keep him in regular work.
