Mr Jackie Boy (Jack) is full of character, a joy to have on the yard and is loved by everyone. With 3 lovely paces he will excel in any discipline as he is clever and is always looking to please.
He is very well schooled on the flat and has well versed lateral movements (flying changes etc) and working at elementary level at home. Finished 7th and 12th in the PC championship open dressage this year (BD Elementary equivalent). He is very flashy and a real eyecatcher. Competed up to novice BD and currently has 25 points - Won the novice in 2024 on 70%
Jack is most in his element when jumping and is bold and scopey to a fence. He has been competing at 90/100 in the SJ ring but schooled up to 110 at home. He always tries his best for his rider and will help you out when needed, jumping off any stride and not looky. With some training and experience he would soon be ready to step up and jump the bigger heights.
He has jumped up to 100 XC , popping trakenas, ditches, steps, water etc. He can still be a bit green out competing where he lacks competition experience so needs a confident rider. However he is a quick learner and has a very willing and honest attitude. Friends have borrowed him to take XC and he has always proved to be a real gentleman and looked after everyone. With continued training he will be very competitive next season. He has been hunted by my daughter and is an absolute dream, not strong or impatient and brave out on the field. He is Snaffle mouthed in all three phases and hunting.
Although he can be a bit sensitive on the ground, he has a loving temperament and and is very friendly. Once you’ve built up a trusting relationship he will follow you around like a puppy. He has no vices. He is easy to handle at shows, stay aways or camps, not stressy or anxious. He will stand in his stable or on the lorry without a fuss and he can be turned out in herds or on his own. He hacks out alone or in company, he is good with traffic and not spooky. He is good to catch, shoe, box and travel. He is handled daily be my teenage daughter. He was taken to Pony Club camp this year by a friend who had only hacked him a handful of times and he behaved impeccably and looked after her.
He lacks top level competition experience due to time constraints but he has so much potential with a competitive home he will excel and will go far in any sphere.
Jack would just as easily suit a competitive teenager/young adult who wants to have some fun and get out competing.
For sale through no fault of his own, we simply don’t have the time that he deserves due to my work and my daughters’ exams. He is a real part of the family and we do not take this decision lightly so he will only go to a 5* home with good knowledge and experience.
