Stunning 16.1hh Black Thoroughbred Gelding, 12 Years Old
A rare opportunity to purchase a talented, versatile and exceptionally genuine horse with a proven competition record and a temperament that is second to none.
This handsome 16.1hh black Thoroughbred gelding has been owned by an 83-year-old lady for the past five years. During that time, he has taken her successfully through the dressage ranks, proving himself to be kind, reliable and wonderfully straightforward both at home and out competing.
He was the winner of the Retrained Racehorse Dressage Championship Final in 2023, achieving an impressive score of X%. This success, together with his consistent dressage results, demonstrates both his quality and trainability.
Very sadly offered for sale only because his owner wishes to continue progressing competitively and feels that a purpose-bred warmblood may be better suited to her ambitions of competing at Silver League level.
The fact that he has been happily and successfully ridden, trained and competed by an 83-year-old lady for the last five years speaks volumes about his character. He is sensible, uncomplicated and a true pleasure to own.

Before his current home, he was an active Riding Club horse, competing up to 1m show jumping. He has not been regularly jumped during the last five years simply because jumping was not part of his owner’s programme, but he remains willing and straightforward. Having recently popped a few fences with him myself, he was an absolute pleasure and appeared to thoroughly enjoy the job.
He would be ideal for someone looking to compete successfully up to Elementary dressage, enjoy Riding Club activities, or simply own a quality all-rounder with an exceptional temperament. Equally, he would be perfectly happy as a fun and safe hacking horse, enjoying long days out, pub rides, beach rides and adventures in the countryside.
A genuine, much-loved horse looking for his next special home.
