Rain is so far proving to be a calm, level headed and highly trainable filly. She’s really affectionate and very food orientated. She’s been doing lots of groundwork and spook busting type training as well as walking out in hand. She has ponied off my other mare and understands about pressure and release.

- I did a bib clip on her over winter because she was sweating up and she didnt care at all

- Is used to having her legs, ears, bridlepath and chin trimmed with clippers just as general tidying

- Good with the vet and farrier. Infact, seems to think all humans are there to fuss her

- She had a physio session before xmas to start her off as I meant to go on and really enjoyed it. We aimed to keep the session short to build a positive experience for the future

I can’t think of much she hasn’t done or seen. She loads easily into a trailer for a carrot. She’s an incredibly sweet filly with a bright future ahead of her and this is a really sad sale.

She’s currently living out with a herd of other youngstock in North Yorkshire but is stabled over winter in both a loose box and an american barn and is happy in both.

Out of 155cm KNN graded Purebred Knabstrupper of Classic Type, Waterbank Sirani (LP/LP PATN/n EE WFFS & PSSM1 negative), by 165cm KNN graded & Performance tested Knabstrupper Horse, Tresaison Ricochet who gained Best Performance Test and Best in Show at the 2013 UK KNN gradings as a 4 year old and went on to have many wins British Showjumping up to 1.35m before being retired sound to stud.

Tresaison Ricochet is by Rubin Star N who competed at Grand Prix level dressage and was champion stallion at his performance test, he has also achieved ELITE stallion status with SHBGB due to his progeny’s continued success at International level.

Waterbank Sirani is by the Purebred Knabstrupper of Classic Type, Tornado af Knabstrup who was graded and performance tested, becoming the UK KNN Performance Champion in 2011 and being the sire of the leading Eventing Sports Pony in the British Breeding Futurities in 2014 & 2015 and being ranked in the top 10 stallions for Eventing and No. 1 Sports Pony Stallion for Eventing in the British Breeding Fututity All Time Sire rankings until it was discontinued in 2018. Her Dam Vile Aetsted herself was also a graded Knabstrupper Horse and was Champion mare at the UK KNN Gradings in 2005, she also competed at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships.

Waterbank Maximus is full sibling to the 2024 colt Waterbank Augustus who gained an Elite for Showjumping at the British Breeding Futurity and being the 3rd highest score for Showjumping throughout the whole Futurity in 2024! Waterbank Augustus was sold to America where they intend to stand him as a stallion when he comes of age.

At just 8 days old Waterbank Maximus is showing just how intelligent and easy he is, he is already leading well on a halter and picking all 4 feet up when asked.

He will be available at weaning in early December and will be very well handled with his feet regularly trimmed, he will be regularly wormed, fully vaccinated, passported and DNA tested.

DEFRA currently only allow the KNN to inspect/grade Purebred Knabstruppers of Classic Type and Knabstruppers of Classic Type in the UK, the Knabstrupper Horse (previously known as the Knabstrupper Sport) is currently not eligible for inspection/grading in the UK at this time.

As Max's dam, Waterbank Sirani is graded with KNN as a Purebred Knabstrupper of Classic Type and his sire, Tresaison Ricochet is graded with KNN as a Knabstrupper Horse (previously Knabstrupper Sport), this allows Max to be put forward for grading with the KNN in the UK as a Knabstrupper of Classic Type. Ceilidh has enough substance to comfortably carry an adult once she is mature and fit. She weighs about 475kg, so max 20% of her bodyweight will be a maximum rider weight of approx 12.5 stone (plus tack/clothing) but obviously for her early ridden work, a lighter rider will be far preferable. 9.5 stone (plus tack/clothing) will be about 15% of her bodyweight.

Dennis was bred at Saltus Sports Horses before they were officially established. He is a very much loved and cared for member of the family owned since 6 months. Dennis is currently standing at 15.2hh with a bit of growing left to do. He is a stunningly correct example of his type with a huge chest and hindquarters, and a nice amount of bone (9inches clean flat bone) without being too heavy. He moves beautifully and is so light and uphill for his stamp, with a very powerful engine.

Dennis would excel in the showring but also has an incredible jump and huge scope and would make a cracking working hunter. He will go all the way in the right hands. Dennis is a beautiful person, handled regularly from 6months he is good with his feet, up to date with worming, teeth and Jabs. He loves people and a fuss and loves nothing more than putting his head on you shoulders for a scratch behind the ears, he will be your best friend.

Dennis is AES registered out of a traditional Mare by Saltus very own Samenco V'ant Kieveld, a beautiful Belgian warmblood stallion.
