Topper is one in a million who has so much quality and class combined with the most amazing genuine temperament. He is a very impressive hosre who stands out from the crowd and catches the eye. He is a well-bred fully registered Irish draught with 5 generations of pedigree recorded. He is a very good stamp of a horse with plenty of bone and substance and a real leg in each corner. He would easily carry a gentleman as well as more petite ladies and teenager, so appeals to a wide audience. He has excellent conformation and straight movement. He would excel in the show ring in hunter classes, did show at Equifest last year in the ridden hunter class where he came 3rd. He is the full package to excel across all riding disciplines which makes him the perfect alrounder. He has also hunted on several occasions last session with the Quorn and South Notts hunt making him an ideal hunter too.

Topper works well on the flat, he has a lovely relaxed way of going. He has three very good paces that are nicely balanced and comfortable. He is light and soft in the hand and works nicely up to the contact from between leg and hand. He works in a nice outline for a more competent rider and equally rides around with a level head carriage for a rider not interested in riding him into the contact. He is ridden in a snaffle for everything expect for hunting where he went in a 2 ring universal. He is on the steady side of medium to ride in the school where you need to use your leg to keep him going and push him up to the bridle. He is nice and straight forward to ride though and you haven’t got to be a technical quiet rider to ride him, he will take a kick and a wobble. He isn’t a novice ride though as he is big young horse so still needs producing further to reach his potential, but he has a lot to give and would go out and do a nice preliminary dressage test now with more to come.

Topper loves his jumping and makes a nice shape. He is nicely forward going into a fence and is very honest and genuine to jump. He is jumps all fillers and water trays first attempt confidently. He is very ridable around a course of fences. He has currently jumped around 80cm courses at arena hires. He has also attended some riding club clinics which he has really enjoyed. He isn’t always the most careful over coloured poles but he likes to have a go. He has also been xc schooling where he proved to be very genuine and jumped over a ditch and went straight through the water as well as jumping all the usually xc fences. He respects solid fences well. He jumped some big hedges and timbres when out hunting so does have the scope there.

Topper is lovely to hack out in company, he hasn’t gone out alone yet as both myself and his owner are based on busy roads and with him only being young we have been taking him out with another horse. He is good in traffic. If a lorry comes past we turn him into a gateway so he can stands well and watches it pass with a little space. He is very sensible in open spaces and not at all sharp or silly. He will go in any order within a group where he is very mannerly and will canter happily in any order. He has attended some pleasure rides where he has always been very well behaved. He has also been to the beach where he loved cantering along the beach and having a splash in the sea. He would be very ideal for someone wanting a straight forward fun horse to take on pleasure rides. He would also be very much suited to a hunting home. He has been hunted on several occasions by a man and also by a competent teenage girl. He stands very well at the meet and goes along well in the field.

Topper has a friendly and kind temperament. He is lovely to have around and very easy to handle. He puts a smile on your face every day. He loves people and will make soone an amazing best friend. He is always good to catch and lead in. He loves all the attention of being groomed and pampered. He lives in and out and is happy be turned out next to or in with other horses. He is great to shoe, wash and clip. He loads perfectly and travels well in a lorry or trailer. He is a very easy horse to load, travel and go off to an event on your own, he is also very straight forward to ride at new places. He really is such a genuine honest horse who deserves the best of homes.

Topper is a good fun allrounder that will have a go at everything. He would excel in a hunting home, he would also be ideal for pleasure rides and hacking and he would be a good riding club allrounder too. This is a sad sale for Toppers owner that has owned him since he was 6 months old so full history is known. He sadly doesn’t have the time for him anymore. He is very sound and healthy and open to vettings. He does have a small sarcoid under his groin which has stayed the same for a couple of years and doesn’t affect him. It's actually started to shrink recently since being fed radiant gold. This is reflected in his price and with no horse being perfect this is a small price to pay for a quality genuine horse. Hard sale of a much loved yard favourite because of his fantastic personality!!
Douglas has been a pleasure to keep and educate after arriving from Ireland unbroken and will be so missed. He has not put a foot out of place since owning him and has loved learning new things and gaining experience. Good with dogs and small children on a busy and active yard.

Taking well to the breaking process early this year and loving ridden life currently, ‘Dougie’ is now ready to find his new home. Douglas hacks alone and in company well over different terrain and loves a dip in the local river. Proving to be very sensible in all forms of traffic on narrow country lanes. Happy to go in front or behind, not strong or silly. More whoah than go, goes well with an encouraging rider.
Has been ridden by a variety of riders as he has a lovely quiet nature but would excel with a confident rider who can bring the best out of him.
Ridden at all times in a snaffle he is coming along nicely in the school with the basics, walk, trot and canter on both reins. Also introduced to jumping, Douglas has a good spring over a fence matching with his pedigree which have proven jumpers.

On the ground, Douglas loves to be fussed and scratched, the video really does speak for itself in that he is very trusting when ridden to ‘mess’ around with and have fun! He has a very playful character that will make you smile always. Easy to keep, learning ground manners. Turned out currently but has been stabled, happy in every environment.
Good to shoe, load and travel and has been clipped.
Up to date with wormer, vaccs and dentist.

Douglas is looking for someone who will be able to further his education, a rider who is able to use their leg and keep him forward while he is learning as he does have a chilled outlook on life.
Competency on the ground is also required as Douglas loves his food and is still learning his boundaries and manners.
We would LOVE to see Douglas go to a fun and full life of variety, where he can do more activities and have a chance to progress in his jumping and other disciplines etc. He has so much to give and to have such a brilliant character in a young horse who is also capable - is a special find.

Megan - approx 15.2, 5 year old cob x mare (no breeding recorded).

Megan is a super sweet character with a chilled outlook on life!

Before coming over from Ireland she had only hacked so is super out hacking, goes alone or in company, loves to box up for a hack in the woods and pop a log. Good in the traffic we’ve met to date on our busy road here and good with the farm machinery round the place.

Works away in the field, has done some XC schooling and popped some fences in the arena. She has a great jump and really enjoys it.

Just done a months hunting at the end of this season and has been absolutely fantastic! Hunted in front and behind, good with hounds, stands at the meet, good to get on and off, has hung back and done gates, led the field jumping or will que and jump in the field, leads other horses. She really would make someone a fantastic hunter for next season.

Works in the arena but can be a tad cheeky sometimes, nothing that will trouble a rider with a sense of humour. In time she’d happily pop off and do some low level eventing/dressage.

I’d love to find her a home that loves hacking/fun rides/hunting/clinics/low level competition etc. Just fun!

Easy to have around the yard, good to catch, clip, load, travel, bath. Barefoot with rock crunching feet. Absolutely loves a fuss and a groom she falls asleep when she’s having her mane plaited!
