My showjumper polly (ecklands alpha polaris) is FOR SALE

She is a 16hh 13yo irish sports horse with good breeding, beautifully well mannered on the ground and loves a fuss

To ride she needs a confident individual who really knows how to ride, absolutely no novices or a first horse as she is a forward competition horse, she needs a calm quiet rider to get the best out of her.

Up to date with vaccines, physio, saddler, farrier and dentist is due this summer. Absolutely perfectly behaved for all.

She happily lives in or out, she is currently living out.

Three established paces, her absolute favourite is show jumping and she would jump the moon for you.

Always in the rosettes and never fails to try her hardest, she knows exactly what her job is when it comes to show jumping, she is speedy and careful, we have been competing at 90cm and at home we train 1.10 and she can easily jump bigger with the right person. Has done affiliated before. You just point her to the jump and she goes on whatever stride, never ever refuses or holds grudges, she knows all her flying changes.

She has hunted in her past home and i have done XC with her which she loved and was very bold, straight into the water and over hedges no problems.

Polly doesn’t like hacking alone but hacks perfectly in company.

This is a very hard decision for me to make and a 10* home is absolutely needed as she is lovely and wont just go to anyone.

Gloria is an attractive mare with a nice stamp and good paces, offering a comfortable and enjoyable ride. She works nicely on the flat and is a pleasant horse for regular riding and schooling.

She has a nice jump and is capable over a fence, enjoying her jumping at home and in a relaxed setting. While she can be a bit inconsistent at times, she is happy popping round and is best suited to a rider who is understanding and not focused on competitive jumping.

Gloria particularly enjoys hacking and fun rides, where she is most relaxed and settled. She is happy out and about and would suit someone who enjoys getting out of the arena and making the most of their riding.

While she is capable, Gloria is not the most confident in a competitive environment, so she would be best suited to a home that focuses more on hacking, pleasure riding and low-pressure activities rather than regular competition.

Winnie is a superstar throughout I cannot fault this horse.

I purchased Winnie as I rising 5 year old straight from the field in Ireland and have had the pleasure of producing her from scratch.

She has been so easy from the beginning, she has been produced with her future in mind.

She has hunted 3 season with the Taunton Vale and a local in land trail hunt. She has jumped ditches, rails and hedges. She is never strong, you ride off your seat. Stands and meets on the buckle. She’s also been hunted by a 13 year old girl, Winnie took her over her first hedges.

She has evented to BE90, won her first 90 of the 2024 season. Always tries her hardest and will come home with a frilly, placed in every Cotswold Cup she’s entered. Really is a rosette machine. She struggles with wider fences, she has the heart of a lion but I think she would struggle going any bigger competitively with solid fences.

She has done some small local shows, placed second in an open working hunter and ridden hunter and came reserve champion in the working hunter ring.

The safest horse the hack, will go first or last. Safe in traffic, I have very quiet roads so isn’t used to heavy traffic but I’m sure this wouldn’t be an issue! I would let my 80+ granny take her for a ride.

She can be turned out with anything, bottom of the pecking order in the field, never barges out her stable. She has outstanding ground manners.

Good to shoe, clip, load lorry or trailer. Will stand on the box all day whilst horses come and go.

16 hand bay ISH mare 6 year old wow horse. Roo is the most wonderful beautiful eye catching 16h mare who I’ve had since an unbroken early 5 year old. She is my only horse (other than a just broken 4 year old) as I am very much an amateur and she is just wonderful to ride she is extremely balanced with a fabulous bouncy correct canter and an exceptional jumper. I’m not sure if I should be selling her but feel like she has so much potential and she is wasted with me as I’m away for most of the summer and having two small children time is very difficult.

She doesn’t rear buck or bolt or nap. You can literally jump on her even if she’s not been ridden she is so easy snaffle mouthed in everything. I mostly take her to shows on my own she has 4 double clears British novice after only being registered since January and is eligible for this year’s second rounds. Goes on missers if needed. Her record is fab I think she has all double clears bar one 8 faults where I had the first and last fence down just one of those unlucky days (she goes on a misser!) and one where I had to circle due to me forgetting my course which I haven’t done in a long time, so please do excuse that result! She does a bit of everything and has just been a delight - snaffle mouth hacks alone or in company in all traffic and is incredible she may as well hop in the tractor when they come past and drive it her self she’s not phased at all! , I can canter off round a field leaving another horse and then canter back and she is just amazing. She has never napped, reared, spun or bucked.

She goes on the flat very nicely on the bit in all 3 phases. Her ears forward always looking in front of her and she is such a positive happy mare.

HUNTING AND XC - she’s been absolutely mega. Jumped all the big hedges when I took her and stood at half time super. All in a snaffle. I haven’t registered to event her just due to limited time with small children but she’s been xc schooling and was super and we are lucky to have a few xc jumps and water etc at ours and jumps them brill.

Incredible to tie up groom she loves it falling a sleep and so easy I can do her rugs whilst feeding her she is not at all nasty, great to tack up, shoe, load - will go straight on like a pro on lorry or a trailer and as I said often on my own so do everything myself with her! And was great to clip, Good around young children! (She hasn’t got a choice haha!)

She is 10000% sound and never been sick or sorry or lame and no blemishes. She always turns heads at shows people love her. I would love her to go to a fun and ambitious home whether that be an amateur or junior rider. I’m only 5 ft 2 so will be ridden by all ranges. She is really kind. I can’t say enough about her really. I don’t have loads of videos as I mostly am alone but what I do have are lovely and recent! But I will send what I can on request.

Flamborough is reluctantly up for sale due through no fault of his own.

He is never strong or silly brilliant in open spaces. Flamborough would make a top eventer/show horse he has 3 lovely balanced paces he feels like you’re sitting in an arm chair he jumps for fun and would really suit someone who wants to go up the levels.

He is an absolute dream to clip, bath, shoe he is honestly a pleasure to have on our yard he causes no trouble.

Although he is an absolute saint he is not suitable for a novice as he is young and can have his babyish moments.

This lovely 7-year-old Bay Irish Sports Horse gelding stands at 16.2hh having the grandsire being Carrick diamond lad.

He’s a true schoolmaster who has turned his hoof to everything and is easy, genuine, and straightforward in every way. He has hunted, pony clubbed, evented, show jumped and done dressage being versatile and competitive at everything he has done a real hard type to find

He has three balanced, established paces and is well-schooled on the flat. He has competed in unaffiliated eventing and showjumping, and is extremely honest and safe to a fence – he never says no. He's fantastic cross-country: bold, brave, and careful. This horse has never said no and gives a confident, secure feel both in the arena and out on course.

He is a great hunter jumping the boldest of fences while still carful enough to jump in trappy country. He gives you a nice day without pulling your arms out but with enough engine to jump whatever you wish.

Previously in an amateur home. Settled into our routine and system very easily, a nice horse to handle and have around. Competed in the Tweseldown training event with a sweet test and double clear in the 100, ready to start cracking Eventing now.

Good off the leg with three nice and correct paces, flashy paces and will continue to really move well once he gets stronger. For a bigger horse he’s very light and even in the contact. Polite and easy to a fence and just goes in an eggbutt, so far showing good scope and carefulness. Recently been to Chard BS, jumping courses of 1.10m at home with ease. Very easy to handle, and do at the lorry and warm up. Jumps hedges, gates and been xc schooling.

Enjoys his work and would be ideal for an individual or family who wants to do a bit of hunting in the winter but have a horse who is quality enough to do some eventing in the summer
