16.1hh, 13-year-old bay gelding with a fantastic work ethic who genuinely loves having a job. A fun, athletic all-rounder who schools comfortably around 90cm-1m, loves to jump and would make a super riding club horse for someone wanting to get out and do a bit of everything.

He enjoys clinics, pole work, arena work and is bold and genuine cross country, happily jumping ditches, hedges, water and steps. He thrives on variety and is happiest when he’s busy, making him ideal for riding club activities, hunter trials, arena eventing or grassroots eventing.

He has hunted well with us, both in the field and whipping-in with hunt staff, proving to be genuine, sensible and happy to work all day. However, we feel his future would be best suited to a varied home where he can enjoy a mixture of jumping, clinics, hacking and hunting, rather than solely hunting.

He hacks confidently alone and in company, loads and travels well in both trailer and lorry, turns out happily with mares, geldings or on his own and has no stable vices. He is good for the farrier, dentist, physio, washing, grooming and to hog, making him an easy horse to have on the yard.

He is not a novice ride as he can be forward and enjoys his work, but he is genuine, honest and rewarding for a rider who wants a horse to get out and enjoy.

For complete honesty, he requires Domosedan for a full clip and underwent successful kissing spine surgery several years ago. He has fully recovered, has remained in consistent work and this has not prevented him doing the job we have asked of him.

He has a specially fitted saddle that can be sold (separately) with him.

Totally honest ad! I bought Ruby a few months ago from Ireland. She was lame on arrival (4/10ths), and to cut a long story short, we suspect a soft tissue shoulder injury. She is now only 1/10ths lame on a right circle on the soft, but otherwise sound to hack, negative to flexions (and always has been), after 3 months rest.

She is an absolutely stunning model, a total sweetheart, and is so easy to have around. She has a cracking bold jump as well! We have recently had the odd potter about in the school and hacking but realistically she needs 3-6 months off to be brought fully into work and fully sound. However we do not have the facilities to do this nicely (limited turnout in the summer, and none once it gets wet). So I am offering her up to sale to someone who has the ability/facilities to just leave her out for a few months, and then have a stunning horse at the end of it. Equally she'd make a lovely broodmare.

Texas has been with me since he was 4 years old. Competed BD (130 Points), BS (426 points) and BE (5 points).

Texas has loads of natural talent with three good paces and an athletic jump. Beautifully schooled with established lateral work, counter canter, changes, rein back and walk pirouettes.

Texas is unfazed by traffic and hacks alone or in company. He loves to gallop on the beach, and is a hedge hopping machine out hunting. He has been on riding holidays in the Peak District and Wales (ridden by my cousin who previously worked with horses but now only rides once a year on our annual riding holiday).

In 2025 Texas was competed by my then 13 year old god son. Winning the Intermediate Dressage class at the Pony Club National Championships and giving Harry his first experience of competing BD elementary (1st place on a ticket with 70%). Texas is a very kind and gentle horse both to handle from the ground and to ride. I regularly teach my clients on him at home. However, he is also sensitive, excitable in certain situations and can lack confidence in his own ability especially when jumping. He is therefore not suitable for a nervous rider, but would be ideal for someone who has previous experience riding competition horses and wants a smart comfortable and well schooled horse to enjoy.
