ROMEO COOL is brave, clever and careful and has been consistently jumping double clears at Newcomers, recently stepping up to Foxhunter, which he found well within his scope, having a powerful jump and plenty of stride.
See video of his Foxhunter round at Bicton this July.
Qualified for 110 Amateur Championships in the Hickstead main ring in September this year.
He began his jumping career as a five year old so is experienced in the ring and has had good results at most venues in the South of England. He qualified for the Hickstead main ring Novice Championships as a six year old.
Although most of his experience is showjumping, he would also be suitable for eventing or arena eventing and be a very competitive horse for a competent pony club rider.
His sire is Billy Be Cool, winner of the Burghley Young Event Horse Championships as a four year old and a five year old
He is well schooled on the flat with good balanced paces, a lovely walk and a rhythmic, comfortable canter. He is settled and consistent in the contact and would get good marks in a dressage test.
Video shows him in trot and canter warming up at Coombelands.
His full history is known as he is homebred and has been knowledgably trained from the start with consistent professional support.
He has been competed by a veteran amateur (owner/breeder) for most of his career, but owner's injury means he is now very sadly for sale and is being ridden by a younger jockey.
Easy to do in all respects, good in traffic, hacks out alone or in company.
Good, full set of x-rays taken earlier this year are available to view on request.
Can be seen and tried at Kingshill Equestrian in West Sussex.
