CHILLI'S DUKE - Extremely sad sale of my incredibly talented boy Duke--after spending the last two years trying to turn him into an eventer, a winter showjumping has shown that this is really where his heart and talents lie.

Horses like this really don't come around very often--Placed 1st or 2nd in nearly every round he's ever jumped with consistent double clears at newcomers and foxhunter with so much scope to go further--ready to jump 1.30s and bigger - his rider just isn't very experienced with jumping big classes so we've been taking it slow! Has his newcomers clear rounds and would be a serious contender for second rounds / HOYS. Has rarely touched a pole through his whole career and when he has it's only ever his very over enthusiastic rider trying to do funky turns and strides!

Duke is the kindest, easiest and most forgiving horse I've ever jumped, he is absolutely one in a million and I think he would really suit a kid coming off ponies/ a children on horses kind of job as he's so genuine, easy and speedy!

Duke is easy to do in every way, very laid back, never sharp or naughty and has been produced by a small girl on a family yard since he was a 4yo. I would love to keep him but unfortunately I'm not a show jumper and don't have the time/ weekends to commit to getting him out showjumping during the event season even though I have had this best time with him this winter!

He is absolute one in a million, horses like him don't come around very often!

Dave is a fantastic showjumper, he is grade B due to his points, he gives the best feeling over a fence, needs a strong confident rider, very attractive horse as he turns lots of heads.

He is good to ride in all paces, but you need to be a confident competitive rider on him as he will put a stop in if you’re not committed, jumped up to 1.15 in the 3 years we have owned him and has record at BS, also has the potential to be a great dressage or show horse.

He’s good to hack, clip, vet, load, handle outside the stable. He isn’t a cuddly horse and can be moody in the stable you just have to learn how to handle him.

Over the 3 years we've had him he’s taught our teenage daughter so much and become a much better rider, he was her transition from ponies to horses, he also took her to prom so has a very special place in our hearts.

This is a really hard sale for us and he must go to a 5* home, he isn’t a novice horse so needs to go to a knowledgeable experienced home.

At recent show Harley jumped both Newcomer and Foxhunter Blue chip qualifiers at a hotly contested show, well earning his tickets to the both of the finals for 2024.
