#Wanted# Competition horse (or the ability to be in the future) for ambitious teen

We are looking for a 15.2hh to 16.3hh that loves to jump and is genuine to a fence.

Our daughter mainly show jumps BS but if horse also enjoys a bit of xc and arena eventing here and there that’s an added bonus but not essential.

She has jumped up to junior newcomers and is a calm, capable rider. She is now looking to move on to seniors. She has regular training with great coaches and comes from an experienced horsey family. Age of horse irrelevant as long as has an honest outlook and a bit of scope.

We can offer a long term, loving, experienced home. We keep our horses at home and they want for nothing. We have stables with lots of turnout and we can cater for most needs. We ideally want something that is at least happy to hack out in company as we have lovely quiet hacking.

Horse must travel well. We are in the south west but will travel within reason. Slight quirks/ailments considered but must be disclosed.

Happy to wait for however long if you aren’t quite ready to move your lovely horse on yet. Ideally looking to buy with decent budget. Would possibly consider other options too.

*re searching for the one after taking a break from looking for a few months while away on holiday etc over the summer

Fifi van de Claevervallei is perfect for someone who wants to compete and possibly breed. Fifi van de Claevervallei is a stunning, versatile mare with an unparalleled, golden temperament. This 12-year-old mare has top-notch pedigree and comes directly from the breeder. Darco x Numero Uno x Cartago x Calypso II. Fifi vdC stands at approximately 163 and is healthy and in good condition. She is eligible for inspection. Fifi vdC is primarily a show jumper, but given her abundant bloodlines, she can just as easily be used for eventing, and she can also hold her own in dressage. Although Fifi vdC has an exceptionally sweet temperament and a winner’s mentality, she may not be immediately suitable for a true beginner rider. Fifi vdC currently competes up to 130, but feels most comfortable at the 1m20 level; however, with a good rider and guidance, she certainly has the quality to move up another level. If you’re looking for a stunning, spirited mare with a sublime, golden temperament combined with quality, look no further. Videos can be viewed under her name on YouTube. She’s also extremely interesting as a broodmare. We ourselves will continue breeding with her daughter, Wifi vdC by Eldorado van de Zeshoek. (last photo) Fifi van de Claevervallei is a top Holstein (18a2) (breeding) mare for show jumping—with her, you have a  unique opportunity to acquire a top broodmare from one of Holstein’s finest lines: Fifi van de Claevervallei (Darco x Numero Uno x Carthago x Calypso II x Nevado xx), a Holstein mare from Line 18A2. See full pedigree and information at the link: https://www.horsetelex.nl/horses/pedigree/1586837/fifi-van-de-claevervallei

Sire Darco is legendary and needs little introduction in Belgium; moreover, it has been proven that Darco as a sire—and dam—is of immense value.
Her sire, Numero Uno, is the sire of the Elite Preferente stallion from the Netherlands. His value is beautifully described at this link: http://www.dbfs.nl/kennis…/merrielijnen/holstein-numero-uno/
He was a supplier to the Royal Household at Zangersheide during the 2018 World Championships for Young Horses. Numero Uno continues to make a name for himself. Article from *De Paardenkrant* dated January 23, 2019, on page 13: “Numero Uno’s offspring in the lead.” The Preferente-class Numero Uno (s. Libero H) produced the winner in both the six- and seven-year-old classes. Neverland Z (dam: Carthago), ridden by Jeroen Appelen, claimed victory in the six-year-old class after the jump-off. Jan Vermeiren and Mr. Uno-K van ’t Kattenheye (dam: Kannan) repeated that feat in the seven-year-old class.

In this article, you’ll notice that Neverland Z has the same pedigree (Numero Uno x Carthago) as Bjork VDC. In the Netherlands as well, Jager claimed the title in the 5-year-old Blom Cup; he also has the same pedigree: Numero Uno x Carthago. The January 2019 issue of Strengen Magazine KWPN also mentions this on page 67 under the title: “Leader Numero Uno.” Here it is described that Numero Uno is the stallion with the best hereditary traits, based on the ranking of most common sires, with Numero Uno convincingly at the top; 74 of his offspring from 2008, 2009, and 2010 compete at 1.40 or higher.
Furthermore, in Fifi vdC’s pedigree, she is descended from the two elite Holstein sires, namely Carthago and Calypso II, and carries the necessary thoroughbred blood through the renowned thoroughbred Nevado xx.
Renaissance VIII, the dam, is the full sister of the international show jumper and most approved stallion son of Carthago Z, C-Trenton Z, who jumped 1.60m with Torben Köhlbrandt. C-Trenton Z is the only horse to have jumped four consecutive clear rounds in the Hamburg Derby and finished second twice with Zilver. See YouTube under his name: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=C+-+trenton
Her other full brother, Senna M, is a winner in the U.S. and also won the VSN Trophy, the national championship for 3-year-olds in the Netherlands; he jumps at 1.40m.

Renaissance’s dam, K-Jade, is the full sister of the approved stallion Classiker (by Calypso II) and a half-sister of Regent 145spr. She is also
the granddam of:
EASYBOY (EXORBITANT XX x CALANDO IV) – Z-level show jumping/1.30m
LEIKA III (LORD CALANDO x CALYPSO III) – Z-level show jumping/1.30m
CALIDA (CALIDO I x CALYPSO III) – 1.60m show jumping
MISS MAUSI (ARIADUS x CARETINO) – Z-level show jumping/1.30m
CARISSMO 2 (CARETINO x CALYPSO III) - 1.40m show jumping
CLINSMANN JUN. B (CASSINI I x CARETINO) - ZZ show jumping/1.35m - Approved by SA, BAVAR

More information about the dam, Renaissance VIII, can be found on the website: https://www.leinsterstud.com/renaissance-viii
At the KWPN stallion show in Den Bosch in 2008, her brother Acanisto M, out of Renaissance, was selected for the performance test and currently jumps at the 140-level. Renaissance’s sister, Thiara M, is the dam of the 1.60 m jumper Oak Grove’s Battle Cry, Cristel Optimus 160—who has already produced several top-class offspring—and Diacento, who jumps at the 155 level. Also sired by Renaissance is the brother Casilas SR (by Berlin), who is already competing at the International Grand Prix level.

Monessa, the grandmother of Renaissance, also produced the 1.45m show jumper Regent. The 1.60m show jumper Callida also traces back to Monessa, as do Chriras (140spr), Carewa (150spr), and Hot Chocolate (140spr).
The 18A2 line is considered one of the most established lines in Holstein. This outstanding line has produced a long list of horses that compete at the highest level in show jumping, as well as more than 100 approved stallions. To name just a few in Belgium: the standout of his crop, Di Cantero van ter Hulst; Cian O’Conner; as well as other well-known horses such as the highly impressive Escape Z and now Ecclestone under Harry Smolders; one of the most prolific sires, Untouchable 27; C-Trenton z; and Quvee Prestige, Reserve Champion of the Holstein Stallion Show—see video at the link; https://www.facebook.com/ChristianHessShowjumping/videos/1471098496287735/ Casalitto (German Young Horse Champion at 5 years old, Top 10 in the 6- and 7-year-old categories, and already jumping at level 150 at 8 years old—see link; https://www.facebook.com/…/pcb.172454054…/1724539537610295/… Calle Cool, 3-time winner of the Hamburg Derby; Churchill de Hus, Arkino Z, Cascadeur, Chambertin, Carambo van de Helle, Dakota P, Crackerjack de Barcenal Z, Colicchio, Carrado MvNZ, N’oubliez jamais, Davidoff v. Schl’hof Ch, Cascadeur, Gentleman, Cantares van de Helle, Lennon, Linaro, Classiker, etc…etc…etc… The list of sport horses competing at a high level is even longer than that of the approved stallions. Every year, horses emerge from this top line. An interesting detail about the 18a2 line is that the world’s No. 1 stallion in terms of breeding ability, Chacco Blue, is sired by Chambertin—who is also from the 18a2 line. The mare is otherwise healthy and very fertile, with no (stable) defects. We’d be happy to provide further information. If you’re looking for an exceptional broodmare, this is a unique opportunity. The importance of a very good maternal line is beautifully described at this link: http://paarden.vlaanderen/nl/themas/fokkerij/Het-belang-van-bloedlijnen-in-de-sportpaardenfokkerij

Fly by Hero Z (Frodo)

Super smart 5-year-old grey gelding standing at approximately 16.3, with straight, uphill and expressive movement.

Bred for showjumping/eventing, he is by the 1.45m jumper Kinmar Z (For Pleasure) out of an Aganix du Seigneur mare, offering proven performance bloodlines with a modern sport horse type.

Frodo was carefully and sympathetically produced on a professional yard from a 2 year old. He was backed as a four-year-old before being turned away to mature, ensuring he has never been rushed or over-produced. Since owning him he has shown huge potential over a course of fences at arena hires and has taken everything in his stride. He is improving every time he goes out, gaining confidence and experience, and continues to show the trainability and attitude needed to make a top competition horse. Frodo is now ready to start his competitive career.

A beautiful young sport horse with a trainable brain and kind temperament.

Frodo has all the attributes to excel in a competitive home, whether with a professional or a competent amateur. While he is very well behaved, he is still a young competition horse and would benefit from a capable rider to continue his education and fulfil his enormous potential.

A very exciting prospect with all the talent and trainability to develop into a quality competition partner and a serious contender for the future.

Snaffle mouthed.

Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming and farrier.

Very genuine reason for sale - Since purchase and developing physically, Frodo has grown considerably and now stands at approx 16.3hh. Sadly, he has outgrown my young daughter, so we have made the difficult decision to find him a new home where he can continue his education and reach his full potential.

Only serious enquiries only please - no time wasters

Bred from a sucessful TB who completed at dressage Grand Prix and whose 3 forfathers all won the Derby and mother is from the De Niro line.

He is a stunning dressage prospect that has competed very successfully at the BE100 level. Not keen on being a Novice horse.

He is a loving, kind and handsome horse with enormous presence, great paces and a fantastic jump. He does great transitions and is currently working on his lateral movements.

He is looking for his next rider, who hopefully enjoys a laidback attitude as he can be quite lazy.

Easy to do everything with, full history known, a real pleasure to have around and a very sad sale of my 1st born foal.

  • Great potential as an eventing prospect and is showing a real willingness to learn and progress

Red is a very attractive young horse with a very bright future ahead of him.

Full green book

Red is a 6-year-old registered Sport Horse of Great Britain, with good conformation, by the up-and-coming British sport horse stallion Namchee Bazaar, who takes his quality and versatility from his sire Up With the Lark who finished in the top 10 of the Young Event Horse final at Burghley horse trials. His dam sire is the Thoroughbred stallion Power Blade, who differs from many Thoroughbreds in being jumping bred and having jumped internationally at 1.30m.

Red is a lovely, genuine young horse who is green but willing, and is now ready for someone to take him out into the world and continue bringing him on. He has great potential as an eventing prospect and is showing a real willingness to learn and progress.

He has:

* Jumped 80cm

* Competed unaffiliated dressage at Prelim level

* Been introduced to cross-country fences

* A good attitude towards his education and a willingness to progress

* Hacked alone and in company. Prefers in company but takes his confidence from her rider.

Red is a horse who gains his confidence from his rider. He thrives with a confident, calm and consistent person. With the right rider who believes in him and gives him confidence, he has the potential to really flourish.

He is therefore not a novice ride or a first horse. He needs an experienced, confident rider who understands young horses and is prepared to put the time and consistency into continuing his education. He is still green and needs someone who is happy to develop him rather than expecting a finished horse.

Red is good for the farrier, dentist, clipping and vaccinations and is currently barefoot. Up to date with everything. All reports can be shown.

He loves to be groomed alongside cuddles, scratches and all the treats. Such an affectionate boy who loves attention.

He would suit an experienced rider looking for a talented young horse to produce and progress through the levels, with the potential to make a very exciting eventing prospect.

A genuine opportunity for the right person to take this lovely young horse and give him the confidence, time and education to fulfil his potential.

Experienced homes only to be considered.

Can come with a brand new fitted arena jump saddle, fitted bridle and full wardrobe for very reasonable additional cost.

Genuine and honest reason for sale. Full details to be disclosed to genuine buyers. Only the best home to be considered for this special boy. Please no time wasters this is heartbreaking enough for owner.

CHARLIE

17/17.1hh | 9yo | Gelding

Charlie has been a permanent fixture with me for the past 2.5 years and has given me an abundance of fun and some fantastic days on the hunting field.

He is a lovely big, soppy, golden retriever type on the ground and is completely uncomplicated to do. He’s the sort you could leave the field gate open for and he’d simply take himself back to his stable!

Charlie has predominantly been a hunter, he has taken me across the biggest of country, always getting me to the other side and, most importantly, home safely. We regularly box up on our own and travel to hunt with various different packs.

He stands beautifully at the meet, is excellent with hounds. Goes a good gallop but level headed enough to switch off and stand end of buckle if required too. He can occasionally throw in a cheeky, harmless fly buck when first setting off into canter, nothing nasty whatsoever, simply excitement. Once he’s underway and has had a good run, he is perfect. I’m a very mediocre rider that wouldn’t be the bravest at times but I manage him just fine.

He is bold and brave to a hedge, yet careful enough to measure a gate. Very cool to Xc school, I think he could make a seriously fun team chaser or eventer for someone willing to polish up his flatwork and showjumping.

Charlie enjoys his flatwork and is lovely and light in the hand. He is green when it comes to showjumping, simply because it isn’t something I do myself and therefore we haven’t particularly worked on. My groom adores him and jumps him at home to keep the cobwebs off, and she has also taken him to a handful of shows, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

He hacks alone or in company and is great in traffic, although he might need pat on bin day!

Charlie is a big, bold, brave and incredibly fun horse who could go on to do a variety of jobs. As mentioned above he would be an awesome prospect for someone wanting to event or team chase, or equally a fantastic hunter for someone looking for a horse to get out and enjoy this season.

He has had most of the summer off, as hunters do, and is not yet hunting fit, which is reflected in his sensible price.

Brilliant to catch, load, clip, shoe and mount.

Lines from Top SJ line Loughehoe Guy jumping 1.40

Bought for myself as a foal, brilliant temperament, he is now 5 and as an unfit mum with 3 competitive girls, we are always out competing and I question if I really have time to work on him. I started on him 6 months ago and he was brilliant, long reined and sat on. Turned away for the summer as we have been so busy and to be honest I cant keep saying "tomorrow, tomorrow" he will be 8 years old and still not really doing any thing. Grabbed him in from the field and sat on him bareback and he was just as lovely as he was 6 months ago. I have his whole life in photo form, please message me for a link to the album.

5yr sport horse. 16'1hh Unbroken.

2 blemishes. One bald spot on his chest from a kick as a yearling and one on his cheek which came up about a month ago which I refuse to look at in any great depth.

Will be a cracker of a horse at a cheap price purely as I am down sizing as life is just too busy.

Talented 7 year old mare, approx. 16.1, out of a three star eventing mare and Grand Prix stallion by Cruising.

She has been produced slowly and carefully by an amateur with the help of a professional.

Very easy to handle, is a lovely personality on the yard and patient on the lorry on show days. Good to shoe, clip and for the dentist and vet.

Hacks alone and in company on the buckle. Has been to many course hires, cross country schooling, training shows (indoor and outdoor), hunter trials and training events. She has jumped BS on a ticket up to Discovery and currently up to 90 at BE events.

She has been produced with eventing in mind but could pure show jump, lots of scope in this horse.

Home is super important, only selling due to young family.

Simba has been with us since a foal and has been part of our young horse herd over the years.

He’s turned into a beautiful horse, with fantastic attributes for the sport.

He has been produced slowly by a lady rider who has 2 young children.

He would really suit a young rider / amateur rider who wants a nice uncomplicated horse for the future.

Simba has jumped several doubles clears this year in Discovery and Newcomer classes. He has a great technique and a lovely attitude to life. He’s not a spooky ride in the ring, he’s brave and always tries to do the right thing.

He rides beautifully on the flat, with 3 balanced paces, flying changes both ways. He hacks out alone or in a group, he’s been XC schooling and really enjoyed it. He’s been a pleasure to produce through the years and is looking for his next rider to take him to the next level and prove his talent due to a lack of time and a busy mum life.

He’s good to travel, load, clip, handle in all ways.

A sort hard to find that ticks a lot of boxes.

Very sound, great set of X-rays taken as a 4yrs old.

I am selling my beautiful 5yo dressage horse, through no fault of her own, she is completely wasted me me due to my time being taken on my daughter who is regularly out competing.

She has had a foal as a 4yo then broken in by me earlier this year, I did this completely on my own, never needing to lunge her before getting on.

She is green on the flat due to throwing a splint so I have done more hacking than flat work but she won't take long to get going.

She lives in or out, good with the farrier and up to date with teeth, vaccinations and physio, she is genuinely a beautiful horse inside and out.

16.1hh 12yr old (July14) mare

Very sad sale of a very much loved horse. Full history known, bought from her breeder as a rising 6yr old. Dee is a super loving horse with a giant heart.

Hacks alone or in company, great in open spaces

Seen all heavy traffic (lives on a farm)

Good to clip

Good to shoe

Good to bath

Easy to stud up for competitions

Up to date with physio, vaccinations, teeth

Good to load and travel - although not a fan of backwards facing

Very mannerly in the stable

We have done a bit of everything with her, she’s fabulous to hack and has been hacked by everyone from my mum to my 14yr old cousin, she has done stay away camps including Somerford earlier this year, day camps, clinics, amble rides, the gallops, dressage competitions, showjumping shows, hunter trials, showing and eventing. I can load her and tack her up by myself.

She thrives off variety… If you are looking for a horse to drill in the school and compete twice a week she’s not the one for you. If you are looking for a girl you can leave for three days not ridden and hop on after a long stressful day she’s the one on the yard I’d pick every time.

With the experience she has we believe she is best suited to a quality riding club/ grassroots type home, training and or competing comfortably up to 80/90. She has schooled around larger tracks and there is no reason she wouldn’t step up in the future. She loves to work and is always ears pricked and looking for what’s next.

She would not be suited to an out and out showjumping home, Dee is super classy through a grid, enjoys training and will produce a nice round as a show, has seen all fillers, trays etc but she does like to be correct, and whilst she can take a miss she will loose confidence with multiple misses.

I am in no rush to move this horse on, a loving home where I can remain in touch is of the upmost importance to me. She is only for sale as I strongly believe she deserves to be doing more than I can do for her. I have thousands of photos and videos available upon request.

Striking 4-year-old bay gelding by Livius (Bordeaux) out of a Foundation mare.

An exciting young horse with three excellent paces and all the attributes needed for a successful dressage career. He is a very uphill, loose and expressive mover with an active hind leg and plenty of natural presence.

He has a genuinely trainable temperament and is schooling well for his age. He is neither spooky nor sharp, making him a straightforward and enjoyable young horse to work with. He is now ready to begin his competitive career and would be an exciting prospect for an ambitious rider.

He also enjoys hacking and is good to catch, load, travel and with the farrier.

A good set of X-rays is available.

He does have some sarcoids, which is reflected in his price. This makes him a genuine bargain for someone looking for a top-level dressage prospect on a more affordable budget.
