Surprise is a 6 year old 16.1hh bay gelding old by Ramiro B. He has been in the same home since a three year old and this will be a very sad sale.

He is absolutely stunning on the flat. He moves beautifully, with an old head on young shoulders. Surprise has established lateral work, with his simple and flying changes coming on well. He loves to show off in the arena. He is currently competing at novice level and in his most recent test he scored an impressive 80.8%. He is compact and naturally uphill in his frame, this coupled with a great attitude to his work makes him a joy to train.

Candy has been with us a year now. We got her when she was just broken as a 5yr old. And even though she wasn’t looking her best at the time she still caught the eye.

Our original plan was to have a horse so I could go riding with my 12yr old daughter, but the more we got to know Candy the more she showed us that she was more classy than that.

She really turned inside out when we started doing work on her and I was soon jocked off by my daughter and herself and her friends took over the ride…

Since mid May she has been in steady work really focusing on flat work as she was weak enough even though she was a 6yr old…

Scope was never a doubt but as she strengthened up she got even better and her technique really sharpened up.

X country was not a problem either as I had been out around the land schooling over banks, ditches, gates the usual things you’d come across out hunting…

My daughter is in pony’s for another 4 years so we don’t need Candy now, but when ever the time comes that she does want a nice 5 or 6 yr old then Candy would be what I’d hope to find and then do the 6&7yr old classes.

She is a pet around the stable, easy to do everything with, shoe, box, clip and ride. Hacks out alone or in company. Good in traffic.

Ben is a very kind and genuine horse who loves people. He is like owning your very own Ferrari with 4 legs. Always willing to be ridden and puts a smile on your face every time you sit on him. I have owned him since he was 2 yrs old and he was very easy to back and ride away. I have spent a lot of my time getting him out into the world and he really enjoys a good day at the forest having a long canter. There is a lack of good hacking options in the area, but he has proven himself happy to do roadwork at our last yard (aged 4).

He loves to jump and finds it very easy, as I no longer enjoy jumping, I have a friend that comes to do that with him regularly. We took him to an arena hire with a course of show jumps and he enjoyed the challenge without becoming distracted.

I have predominately trained him for my first love of dressage and this year he has qualified easily for Pet Plan Regionals at Novice Level. Training at home for Elementary Level with some baby half passes and even some half steps. He is always ridden in a snaffle.

At this time, he lives out 24/7 but he has lived in a more conventional yard environment which he was also fine in but he thrives living out as he is a busy character.

My choice has been to leave him barefoot and he has never worn shoes. However, he is great with the Farrier.

He travels happily and relaxed in my little lorry.

I have made this hard decision to sell him as I believe he needs a younger braver rider that can help him fulfil his potential.
