Maximus is already the eighth KWPN approved son of the foundation stallion Zirocco Blue. Under the saddle of Jur Vrieling, Zirocco Blue was very successful in sport from an early age and in breeding the son of Mr. Blue can be counted among the best of his generation. Offspring such as Eddie Blue (Devin Ryan USA), Magnolia Mystic Rose (Eduardo Menezes BRA), El Rocco SK (Jur Vrieling NED), Jet Blue (McLain Ward USA), Flair (Steve Guerdat SUI) and Fliere Fluiter (Jack Ansems NED) don't lie; Zirocco Blue VDL is represented every week at the highest level. Maximus was bred from a daughter of Verdi - a successful KWPN stallion under Maikel van der Vleuten.

Maximus's dam is the elite IBOP-(Spr.) Sport-(Spr.) mare Daloma, who herself was successful up to 1.30m level. Grandam Paloma in turn jumped at Grand Prix and World Cup level under top rider Eric van der Vleuten and has already produced the successful show jumpers Ferm and Ulomus in breeding. Maximus' great-grandmother Sjaloma is one of the best breeding mares from the famous Loma line; she produced the approved stallions Furore and Jaguar and was the basis for many international sport horses, including the famous Voyeur. Under Kent Farrington, Voyeur jumped to Olympic team silver in 2016 and an individual fifth place in Rio de Janeiro.

The dam Faside Sundance carries some of the best names in dressage in her pedigree - Rohdiamant, Rubinstein, Sandro Hit and Donnerhall. Sundance is by the first approved son of Sandro Hit out of one of the most successful dam lines in Germany of the Finnlanderin/Vornholz Stud.

Her sire Sunny Boy's dam Fantastica is the full-sister to the German Federation's dressage breeding champion and international Grand Prix winner Don Schufro. After winning his 30 day stallion test with a top score in the dressage and jumping index, Sunny Boy won the final at the national young horse championship of the six year old dressage horses and has long since accumulated many victories at Advanced level. Sunny Boy's offspring wow the crowds with the utmost modern, spectacular gaits and correspondingly top-priced premium stallions (Oldenburg: 120,000 Euros, Westphalia 180,000 Euros). Sir Johnson is a fabulous 3 year old gelding by Sir Donnerhall out of a homebred Johnson dam. He will be a big horse with a great enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Sir Donnerhall won his performance test and was awarded his generation's Hauptprämire, awarded for the best first crop of foals sired by stallions licensed in the same year. In 2006, Sir Donnerhall was 5-year-old Bundeschampion, and went on to be Vice World Young Horse Champion. The German FN breeding valuation ranks Sir Donnerhall I as one of the best sires of dressage horses with 150 points. Sir Donnerhall's is out of the Brilliant Ring mare Contenance D. He received the highest dressage index score ever awarded to date of 163 points in his 70-day test.

Sir Donnerhall's sire Sandro Hit was Bundeschampion and World Champion as a 6-year-old in 1999 and 10 of Sandro Hit's progeny also won the Bundeschampionat. At the Rio Olympics 2016 his son Showtime FRH was part of the German gold medal-winning team, and 6th individually, while Santano II was team bronze medallist in eventing for Australia, finishing 5th individually.

Sir Donnerhall's damsire Donnerhall appears in the pedigree of almost every top-level dressage horse. He won numerous international grands prix, including team golds at the 1994 & 1998 World Equestrian Games and the 1997 European Championships, and two individual bronze medals (1994 and 1997). Donnerhall ranked inside the top 10 of the WBFSH Sire Rankings for seven consecutive seasons (2008-2014). Grandsire, Olympic Cocktail also performed at the highest level and achieved numerous victories in grand prix and kur to music. He became Bundeschampionate in 2015. In 2018 he scored 84.05% in the WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for 7-year-old Horses to place 3rd.

His sire, Furstenball, was champion of his licensing, stallion performance test winner, State champion and Bundeschampion. He was named the VTV stallion of the year in Vechta.

Fursten-Look's dam, State Premium Mare Lady Diamond produced the licensed and tested son, San Severo (by San Amour) and the Bundeschampionship participant Sardera S (by Sandro Hit) ridden by Andreas Muller. Lady Diamond's full sister La Perla won at the Bundeschampionship.

The dam, Faside Brianna, is sired by Bretton Woods who won the Bronze Medal at the World Championships of five-year-old dressage horses. Prior to that, he won the 50-day test of the KWPN as well as the VSN Trophy in the Netherlands, where he was awarded a 10 for his rideability. Ridden by Matthias Alexander Rath, Bretton Woods achieved seven wins and several high placings in Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I. Since then he has reached Grand Prix level. His foals often reach high prices at auctions and from his first crop several of his sons have been licensed, including champion and premium stallions.

Bretton Woods's sire Johnson was the champion of his KWPN licensing in 2005 and a participant in the finals of the World Championships of Dressage Horses in 2007. Internationally he is very successful in dressage with Hans Peter Minderhoud. His dam Annabel, bred to Jazz, produced the licensed stallion Chagall and has for years been one of the most highly ranked mares in KWPN breeding. With the highly significant black sire De Niro, who is currently in first place of the WBFSH ranking of all dressage sires and the highly appreciated Romancier, who is dam sire to Furst Romancier, the genetics of the dam side are highly secured.

The granddam Faside Dawn Til Dusk is by the International Grand Prix Dressage Stallion, Demonstrator, out of our KWPN graded main studbook PROK mare, Reggae. These are superb dressage bloodlines. Demonstrator was short listed for the Olympic Dressage Team. Reggae was imported from Holland and is by the Dutch stallion Olympic Vincent, who is one of the top dressage sires on the KWPN Stallion Index. Reggae’s sister was exported to America and one of Reggaes foals went to Holland for the second round of the KWPN stallion licensing. Vincent was named Dutch Champion at the 1989 Grand Prix at Haaksberg.

Her sire Grand Galaxy Win was the champion of the Danish licensing in 2014, and in 2016 he finished 7th in the final of the five-year-old World Breeding Championships at Ermelo under Olympic rider Severo Jurado Lopez, stable jockey for Andreas Helgstrand, on a score of 84.6 and now is just starting out at Grand Prix level 

Sire - He is by the grand prix stallion Apache, who has impressed in his first season at international grand prix under the Netherlands' Emmelie Scholtens, never scoring below 71%. After their first international at big tour, they were immediately cited as contenders for the Dutch Rio Olympic team, narrowly missing out on a place. Apache brings in a second dose of Jazz via his grand-sire Olivi, a Jazz son who also competed at grand prix. Jazz led the WBFSH Sire Rankings for four consecutive seasons, and has never been out of the top 10 in the current system - he is a legend in his own lifetime and has produced scores of grand prix horses. He was a grand prix competitor himself, and then went on to produce the likes of Parzival and Wynton. Jazz produces sensitive but trainable horses for dressage - and even the Dutch Olympic eventer Vira.

Damline - Galaxy's elite dam Winner T has produced elite, ster and IBOP offspring. She is by the dressage legend Jazz out of a Zeoliet mare, who brings the jumping blood of Ramiro Z into the mix. Zeoliet, who is the sire of numerous grand prix horses, backs up Galaxy's pedigree. Winner T is also the full sister of the successful small tour horse Volvo. 

Progeny - His foals have been much admired for their uphill tendency and freedom of movement. He provided the winner of the 2018 Oldenburg licensing, Global Player, and his first offspring under saddle are proving to be talented, trainable and rideable with all the potential for the top level work.
