I realise I am looking for a unicorn, however placing a wanted advert helped to find our current unicorn who has become a central part of our family and isn't going anywhere. (Hence why looking for our step onto horses is becoming so difficult as I have nothing to sell.)

I am looking for a horse, 15.2-16.2 to carry on the journey with my teenage daughter. She is a competent, kind rider with a balanced seat and a dedicated approach to horsemanship. She has completed up to 100cm UA SJ, and BE80, and BD Novice. She has had a range of experience from local unaffiliated classes through to BRC Champs, BD Nationals, NSEA, BS Just for Schools riding a local venues and also larger venues including Hickstead, Arena UK, Bicton etc.

We are looking for a horse to continue on these adventures with a view to progress in all 3 disciplines. She is keen to progress in affiliated areas including BS and BE Grassroots. We are potentially looking for a horse that may be looking to step down a level or two but still have an active life. We don't compete every weekend as my daughter also balances playing hockey at a high level, but horses really are her joy. We do have roughly 2 lessons a week and attend Riding Club weekly.

We have a great coach and although we have a livery spot, we also have a couple of stables at home and small paddock so we can enjoy the best of both especially over school holidays. We are committed family to our horses and have kept many of our ponies over the years into retirement. We still have our dear Shetland too.

Disheartened but hopeful mum searching for our first family horse. We're based in Leicestershire on a wonderful yard with fantastic hacking and instructors on-site.

Im a confident rider with many many years of experience with different breed of horses. However, as I am nearing 40, i am now looking for my last horse of a life time, so looking for a nice allrounder to have fun and bring me back home safe and in one piece.

I own a small holding which consists of stables, arena and 10 acres of land.

Currently have 6 horses at home which consist of a pony for my daughter, 2 retired that have been with me for years and 3 youngsters I bred myself.

Things I am looking for in my next horse - they must be easy to do in all ways, I often will go to shows by myself or with my young daughter.

Confidence giver and forgiving in the jumping department, someone to help me out when I get it wrong - nice steady approach when jumping, don’t want something that locks on a shoots forward.

Hack out alone and in company.

Would like to start doing more dressage, so something that knows the basics.

I do enjoy the odd fun ride with a friend so would be nice if I can do this without the horse jogging the entire way or running off when another horse comes past. (Had many of these type of horses when I was younger, my body was more able back then)

No bucking, rearing - I understand it is impossible to ask for a bomb proof horse but something not too spooky.

Prefer middleweight types which have a bit of bulk and shoulder. I don't like horses that are narrow and like sitting on a knife edge as they just don't suit me!

Not fussed as to whether mare or gelding but would prefer a horse that isn't grey!

I am open to ideas as to breeding and what they have done, but am looking for a horse to produce up the levels and has that little bit of sparkle.

My only non-negotiable is that they must be a nice person. While I am aware this may take time with a younger horse, I have a young child (who adores the horses so there will be an endless supply of cuddles as she gets older!) who spends a lot of time on the yard with me.

My current horse has taken me up to Small Tour level and we have trained up to Grand Prix. While we may not have been the most competitive, we have had a fantastic time together and now as he gets a little older, I would like to enable him to do the levels he feels most comfortable at without pushing him.

I would love a horse that will allow me to progress up the levels again and be a little more competitive and I am willing to put in the work to do so.

We can offer a private 5* home on a quiet, peaceful yard, where horse will want for nothing and enjoy a life with plenty of variety.
