We are looking for a safe and sensible small horse/pony to primarily train to do dressage up to Elementary level with ability to do some low level Show Jumping up to 80/85cm. With our previous horse we had wins and places at Novice level. Could be a show jumper looking to step down and focus on dressage.

We are based in the Surrey Hills with miles of lovely hacking on our doorstep without roadwork. Will be stabled on a small livery yard with fantastic facilities (indoor and outdoor schools). This will be a 10 star forever home for the right horse/pony.

We are ideally looking for:
Gelding but will consider a Mare
14.1h to 15.2h
6 to 14 years
Ideally not a cob
Trainable up to Elementary dressage
Ideally able to jump but not essential

Will be for a lady rider so must be:
Safe and sensible - must not be spooky/buck/rear/bolt
Not strong or sharp and must be snaffle mouthed
Good to load and stand at shows as will sometimes be taken out alone
Wanting to take to camp, do beach and sponsored rides
Good to hack out (alone/in company)

I have been riding for most of my life, I’ve ridden many different horses from 13 hh first ponies to 16.2 hh Irish sport horses and 15.3 quirky Connies. I can walk trot and canter confidently. I’ve owned and loaned in the past. Im wanting to jump, go cross country, fun rides and possibly compete a few times. I can do yard chores and i’m confident on the ground with horses. My preferred breed is a chunky traditional Connemara just cause I love the breed so much my previous Connemara gave me so much but he is retired now , but would consider something else that fits the bill.

I previously had a bad accident with my last pony on the road with a tractor and my confidence is very low , it's very important that my next pony is very safe confidence giver. I am aware no horse is perfect but I don't want anything sharp or spooky and nothing that bolts , rears or bucks , strong etc

I have had weekly dressage lessons for over a year and then monthly lessons with jumping the year before , spent a lot of time hacking ,before my accident. I have had horses for many years and was a competent rider until my accident where I lost confidence.
