15.1hh 10yrs Irish piebald mare

Vera has returned to us to find a new home after 6 happy years with her owner who brought her from us as a 4 year old . She is now looking to move on to new home to do low level RC, hacking and hunting.
Vera enjoys doing a bit of everything, she has been there and got the t shirt taking part in all riding club activities, unaff SJ to 70cm, arena eventing and has been well hunted with both the Surrey Union and Kent and Surrey bloodhounds. Vera has remained local to us throughout and has frequently come back for schooling and hunting when her owner has needed a break. Her owner is in her 80’s (!) but very game and is only looking to move her on as wants to jump bigger before she’s too old! Vera is happy in her comfort zone at 60/70cm and she will pop bigger timber out hunting or the odd bigger fence in the school but isn’t going to be a big hedge day horse! Although she will jump round a course quite happily and go to a show, she doesn’t really love it and she’s probably best suited to a home where she has real variety, sponsored rides, clinics, hunting etc. as she gets a bit fed up doing the same thing all the time.
Out hunting Vera is brilliant, stays where she’s put in the field and does her job well. She’s been well hunted by us and various local teenagers who have borrowed her and has been out with her owner. She’s has done fun rides, beach rides and a lot of happy hacking both alone and in company and is good in traffic. She can have the odd spook but nothing a confident enough novice rider can’t cope with ( she’s the type that likes someone confident who will tell her to get on with it, you don’t have to be brilliant!). She’s regularly ridden with us by middle aged rider returning to the saddle who lives hacking her out. Vera is nicely forward thinking out hacking and enjoys a good canter but is always happy to pull up.
We think she would suit someone either looking for a first horse or a low level PC / RC home. She’s never going to set the world on fire but is a lot of fun, she enjoys a clinic, would do low level dressage etc. She’s more like riding a big pony than a small horse.
Excellent to handle, box, catch, shoe, clip etc. she’s a cracking mare and we can’t quite believe she’s looking for a new home!

I have been lucky enough to start this lovely horses education under saddle for her owner who has sadly now decided it’s time to find her a new long term 5* home.

Owned by her current owner since a weanling she is much loved so top homes only please.

She is a wonderful girl with all the attributes to be a top all rounder, she enjoys jumping and has jumped lots of different xc and show jumps without a second thought, she has been unaffiliated show jumping and enjoys that.

She is a super hack, I believe hacking is the best way to ride young horses away so she has done lots of hacking on her own and in company.

She has huge potential in dressage in particular, she is forward thinking without being strong or sharp, she has natural energy and expression in her movement and is keen to please. I wish I was in a position to take her on myself as she is going to be a lot of fun to train up the levels and extremely safe with it.

She has been out to an unaffiliated dressage show gaining high marks and lovely comments.

Jester is a gentle soul, turning 5 years old in July. He is a striking piebald cob gelding standing at 15hh and is a good weight carrier.

Happy to hack out alone or in company, he will go first or last, although he does prefer to lead the way. Will ride away from others, walk through puddles and standing water with no issue. Snaffle mouth. My 60-year-old mother regularly rides him out on her own, which is a testament to his kind and sensible nature. Ridden away since October last year, he has mainly focused on hacking but has recently started working in the school and is proving very willing. We've also started introducing him to jumps on the lunge and he's beginning to understand what's being asked of him. We will continue to progress this.

Jester is a safe, laid-back, easy-going ride who gains confidence from his rider, not much phases him. Great at gates will open and close and hold open to let others through. He loads well, is easy to catch, has no vices, is good in traffic and is a pleasure to handle on the ground. He is very polite, will happily stand to be brushed all day, stands like a rock for the farrier and is mannerly in all aspects of handling.

He enjoys getting out and about and thrives on human company. Jester is a sweet, honest gelding ready to continue his journey with the right person. He will make someone a really lovely all-rounder.

Based in Herefordshire.

One hundred percent bomb proof. Horse. Absolutely has never bucked or reared. Not nappy.

Hacks great alone or company. A beautiful canter x. Ive owned Rocky. Just under a year and total has given me confidence to go up the ladder. So honest with her jumping.

She really loves it. Locks onto a fence. And equally great on the cross country course.

Last time out we were second. Bs.

A saint to hack. U can leave her and shes still as good.

The only thing I would say. She travels better in company.

Can send lots of video ect

Wendy stands 15hh and at the moment stands up behind so will make 15.1hh I would think.

She is nicely put together with quality LW limb which needs little trimming. A good straight mover with nice paces. She is still green in the school so will take some time but I think will be nice but she would equally enjoy to do anything else!

She is now 5 I bought here as a 3 year old from Ireland, we have given her time to mature.

She is well hacked having been ridden by various friends who come for a bit of “Me” time!!

She hacks out alone too but gets her 10,000 steps in then! She has done a little in the school so can do the basics.

She has jumped all our hunt jumps and enjoyserself. Wendy has been to arena hire and been on some Farm Rides. She used to Farm life and the machinery that goes with it. Good in traffic met to date.

She is good on the ground as I walk with a stick and have a mobility scooter. Good to clip trim shoe etc.

Very much a blank canvas with the basics established so could go on and have any number of of career opportunities. A good amateur cob to be aimed at The LIHS Rising Stars also eligible for Partbred Irish Draught Class.

Wendy is a lovely person and really really would love to be someone’s horses as she loves all the fuss and attention you can give - she falls asleep being trimmed!

Dennis aka (E.F Al Capone). Hard to find, 3yo blue and white Sport/Maxi Cob.

Dennis was bred at Saltus Sports Horses before they were officially established. He is a very much loved and cared for member of the family owned since 6 months. Dennis is currently standing at 15.2hh with a bit of growing left to do. He is a stunningly correct example of his type with a huge chest and hindquarters, and a nice amount of bone (9inches clean flat bone) without being too heavy. He moves beautifully and is so light and uphill for his stamp, with a very powerful engine.

Dennis would excel in the showring but also has an incredible jump and huge scope and would make a cracking working hunter. He will go all the way in the right hands. Dennis is a beautiful person, handled regularly from 6months he is good with his feet, up to date with worming, teeth and Jabs. He loves people and a fuss and loves nothing more than putting his head on you shoulders for a scratch behind the ears, he will be your best friend.

Dennis is AES registered out of a traditional Mare by Saltus very own Samenco V'ant Kieveld, a beautiful Belgian warmblood stallion.

Lots of photos and videos available on request.

He has seen tack, isnt bothered by anything and will be very easy.

Only the best of homes need enquire, Dennis deserves the best where he will have a job and progress successfully, he is a very special and whoever has him will be very lucky. Dennis does have a small scar on his hind pattern from a field injury as a foal but this doesn't affect him in any way and we covered it with make up for showing, where he was placed 1st!

‘Sally’ is an eye catching mare with a very trainable attitude and lovely personality. She started age 5 in a riding school and had been produced slowly and correctly in a dressage home from BD Prelim to BD Medium.

For the past year, Sally had predominantly been schooled for and competed in British Dressage. She is established in half passes, walk pirouettes, simples changes, counter canter, rein backs, leg yields and all other medium movements. Sally would make the perfect Petplan horse, having gained scores previously of up to 70%. She has also had success at the Cavago Associated Championships in both the elementary and the medium.

Sally is happy to school in either a snaffle or double bridle. She is currently learning her changes and could either continue to move up the levels in dressage or take her career in a new direction.

Sally takes everything in her stride and would be suited to any kind of home, she has been to showjumping shows up to 80cm, cross country schooled over 90cm fences, confident in water and over ditches, hacks happily alone or in company and even enjoys a trip to the gallops and beach.

Sally is great with kids and often has a young inexperienced rider on her on lead rein and behaves perfectly. She is great to lead, groom, bath and load and travels well alone or in company.

Very kind, willing and uncomplicated mare who deserves the best of homes.

Jemima , 15.1hh 5yr old Irish cob mare. Nice stamp , well marked with a leg in each corner. Potential hunter / alrounder / riding club.

Jemima has been with us for a couple of months now , previously been in the same home since a 2yr old. She has done lots of hacking with us , alone and in company , good in all traffic including busses farm machinery bikes etc.

Super easy in open spaces. She has been on farm rides and enjoys xc schooling. She makes a nice shape over a fence and really enjoys it. Her flatwork is improving all the time , she has 3 nice paces , she enjoys her work and has potential to produce a nice dressage test. She can work in a nice shape but not the finished article just yet. We have taken Jemima out to arena hires , she has jumped a small course of showjumps and not phased by fillers.

She is easy to take out , loads and travels well and stands on the box well alone.

Easy to shoe , bath , clip etc. She can sometimes be tricky to catch in a big mixed herd , but we feel with a 1-1 home or maybe just more of a routine this will improve. At the moment she isn’t getting loads of work due to having so many breakers in.

She’s happy being ridden once a week or every day. Jemima has no vices lumps or bumps. She isn’t a novice ride as she is forward going and still green in places. She will need a balanced rider , she has never bucked reared etc but she is a nicely responsive ride. She can sometimes be a bit impatient when asked to stand once ur on , but stands at the mounting block like a rock.

Get on and go sort of a cob! Lovely summer project for someone , she has all the basics there just needs finishing off and would really thrive in a 1-1. Someone will have loads of fun with this cob!

Duke is standing at 12.3 and is a 10 year old silver dapple traditional mini cob stallion . He is not stallion like at all, and is very quiet to deal with and will stable next to mares.

Duke is broken to ride and loves to go hacking around the fishery’s and woodland areas. He has never been out the top 2 when shown in hand, and recently won Barley Saturday Stallion Show . Where he then paraded the streets and behaved impeccably .

This boy would easily fly through TGCA / chaps gradings and therefore could compete at chaps/toys where I believe he would do very well.

Tons of feather and bone with a real look at me presence.

He is very easy to have around and is very good to handle, load, clip, bath and for the farrier.

Ponies like this do not come on the market very often

Stardust is such a lovely pony, never nasty, will lick you all day long.

11 years old by Kylebeck Crespo. He is a lovely chestnut / slightly roan in places with striking markings and his well known white feather display on his o/s flank.

Very well shown in hand and sired many foals before being cut for his ridden career. We have had him for just over 3 years and really don't want to sell him but my daughter has changed jobs and the hours and days have made it impossible to ride and show any ponies. This is so sad as he is at his best now. Advertised him before, took him off because so many of the wrong people ringing, he is loved and will only go to the right home.

You can take him into the buziest rings and he never get hot or edgy, pouring rain, heavy mud.

Never strong, ridden on light contact, Big softy , easy to do , totally home produced , perfect confirmation, has a glass like coat in the summer and very little in winter.

Lives in and out happily, good with others, farrier, travel.

Can be found easily on the internet.

1st Devon County 2024

2nd in couple of RI qualifiers

Should easily go out pick up his tickets if you want to show but he loves a varied life.

Stardust is so loved he will not be sold to anyone, he deserves the best of homes. He is priced to sell not put up for a silly figure. His Black country saddle available at extra cost.

Location Somerset, 3 miles from junction 23 of M5

Sonic - approx 15.1hh, 4 year old Connie x cob gelding.

**passed 5 stage vetting but buyer has pulled out. Happy to explain reasoning no fault of the horse.

Sonic is a super sweet and genuine little chap. The ultimate allrounder who’d go off and do a bit of everything and the type to suit the whole family in time.

A really nice type with a pretty little head and a leg in each corner without being heavy.

Good to hack alone or in company and been good in the traffic we’ve met. Riding really well for his age, working away sweetly in the arena with a lovely way of going, nice balanced paces for his age and incredibly willing to learn.

Been out to arena hires and XC schooled, he has a super jump and is very much a yes man. Popped straight round the fences here first time no need to show him anything first, just got on with his job.

Starting to string some fences together in arena and shows plenty of ability if wanted.

Super type for any job, doesn’t ‘need’ to be busy but equally would go and do a bit of everything if wanted. A really fun little horse who is a nice mix of forward but not too forward! One I ride at the end of the day so I always end the day with a smile on my face.

We have bred and owned Mulligan all her life. She has always been super easy to do, so much so, shes always the one who gets left, and not ridden. Whilst I find her super easy, and if anything, like it when shes not been ridden for a month and is a little fresh, we have had a few try her and found her too forward for them.
There is no need to kick on this mare, leg on means go. She marchs in walk and trots out, keeping up with any horse. She loves a canter across the fields and tracks, but pulls up easy in a snaffle.
Personally I find circles in an arena boring, (plus we don’t have an arena) so we do not do it. If you want a dressage horse, you will need to put the work in, as our idea of fun is hacking. However she has been to dressage and show jump shows with a friend many years ago, so the buttons will still be there, its up to you if you want them, and if so you might need to re program.
Her forte is hacking, heavy traffic is no issue, gates she’s a pro, she’s safe in open spaces, she goes first or last, and is confident on her own.
You can ride and lead her, or from her, so super easy.
She is a unit, i’m 5ft6 and she takes up my leg, and some, I’ve never felt too big for her. Shes super comfortable to ride with plenty of neck and shoulder in front of you.
She is only for sale as I’ve bred myself a taller version and if she gets ridden once a fortnight she’s done well.
If you are into your gypsy cob breeding you will see she has great breeding, and is very correct if you wanted to show.
She needs her own person, but of you are coming from a riding school, are used to kicking every stride, or are hoping for a mother daughter share for your ten year old who is still struggling with rising trot, she is unlikely to be for you, you are likely to feel over horsed.
She is kind, super fun and gives you a great fun ride.
She is and has always been barefoot, easy to clip, bath, spray etc. She is vaccinated, has had a foal (we are a stud) three years ago which she did easily and her foal is still with us (also for sale).
Her ideal home is someone who wants to hack out, have a good canter across fields, do some fun rides etc
We have them in each night, and in the winter we have little / no turnout and she’s happy to stay in 24/7. She doesn’t get fresh or silly when in.
The home and person is every important, as she is a member of our family, but she is surplus to needs at the moment, and she could give someone a lot of fun.
She has an Albion saddle, Seddon bridle and a larger wardrobe than me that I’m happy to discuss
