Charismatic rising 5 year old, 17hh Shire Mare for Sale. Frances is a true example of a Shire Horse, she is dark bay with 4 white socks, plenty of feather and a white strip.

She combines power, elegance and a willingness to work. She is a straight mover and has an impressive walk, trot and canter.

Frances is a responsive and forward going ride, definitely not a kick along and would suit a confident experienced rider to further her education.

I have no doubt she will excel in any sphere, she would look brilliant in the hunting field, dressage arena, show ring or even out eventing.

Frances is excellent to hack both alone and in company, she has seen lots of traffic and is always well behaved. She has been on forestry rides, jumped ditches and is a pleasure to take anywhere!

Orry is a 16.3hh 15yo gelding by the prestigious stallion Primitive Proposal. He has the perfect mix of thoroughbred and warmblood breeding making him a serious athlete with both brain and lovely temperament.

Orry has had a quiet but varied life taking part and excelling in all disciplines. He has done riding club activities, fun rides, hunting etc but really comes into his own out competing. He hacks out regularly and is perfect in company, he is a bit less confident out hacking on his own with a new rider in a new place, he’s bound to have a minor nap in a new home when first hacked out alone, at worst he will just stop and try and turn round, he has never gone up or spun to my knowledge.

I have been riding him for his owner for a couple of months now he has been foot perfect to ride ever since the first couple of rides when he had the minor nap I have just described.

I have tracked down some previous owners and he has been in novice homes most of his life and I strongly feel with some consistency from a half decent rider with some confidence he will come on very quickly and be a very useful and competitive horse for a very sensible price.

He does have a touch of separation anxiety, which is why his current owner has asked me to do sales livery for them. This wasn’t mentioned by the person they bought him off and so we really want to find him the right long term and loving home this time!

He really is very manageable for anyone with a bit of confidence and the flexibility in there yard set up to handle one like him. Most of the time he is very relaxed and easy to handle but occasionally he will get upset if left last in the field, stable or lorry. He has never jumped out, hurt himself, etc, he is just a bit bolshy and annoying when at his worst but this does not last long and he responds well to some firm but kind handling and has improved a lot in a short time with me.
He really is a lovely horse with a huge amount of untapped potential.

Breeding speaks for itself: Arko iii: Arko III was the Number 1 horse in Europe for 5 consecutive years and won over £1,000,000. Some of his tremendous achievements also include winning the Dubai Classic and being 2nd in the Dubai Grand Prix in 2006. He won the CSIO Rome Grand Prix as well as the CSIO Lucerne Grand Prix and was 2nd in the Cannes Grand Prix. He had numerous Nations Cups double clears and because of his accomplishments his owners were the FEI Winning Owners for two years in a row. In a fitting end to his career, Arko III won the 2008 Spruce Meadows CSIO Masters Tournament before being retired to stud. Navarone jumped to 1.40 and competed to Grand Prix dressage. Navarone was from Jus de pomme , who is the only horse in history to have won double gold at the Olympics. He did so for the German team and individual. He sadly passed away shortly after.
Amongst many more he won Hickstead and 23 individual Grand Prix clear rounds in a row. Thus his blood line is well sort after. Indoctro: Indoctro is a living legend and is among the world's best sires. His offspring achieve successes at the highest level. At the Olympic Games in 2008, three horses by Indoctro attended: VDL Orestus, Don Porfirio and Picolien Zeldenrust. In Holland he is known as VDL Indoctro, while in Germany, following the Holstein naming custom, he is C-Indoctro. By any name he is one of the world’s most successful jumping sires.

He has had the same home his whole life.
Extremely sad sale but we just don’t have the time to give to him that he deserves. Anyone would be lucky to have this special horse.

Tentatively putting feelers out to see if there is a suitable and loving home for our beautiful boy now that our daughter has gone to university; he has been the perfect mother/daughter share for us over the past 3 years.

He is a striking 16’1 chestnut TB gelding rising 10 years who came to us straight out of racing sound 3 years ago and therefore qualifies for RoR. A lovely mover, he has three good paces and has done a bit of everything, although the two of them have focussed on their dressage and have been successful. The video clip shows some recent flat work, XC schooling and loose jumping.

He is forward going and enjoys his work. Equally happy to hack out alone or in company he loves to go out for adventures. He is steady, sensible, good in traffic and the open spaces of Salisbury Plain. He has proven himself to be a good nanny horse and does not get silly, spooky or nappy.

We had a successful ‘kissing spines’ op done in April 2025 (vertebrae, not ligaments) which has transformed his way of going. The rehabilitation was done patiently and correctly (led at all stages by physio and vets) and so it has been a great investment in his his long-term health. Due to this, it would probably be sensible to suggest a 70kg weight limit.

Always snaffle-mouthed, good to shoe, clip, plait up and trailer load. He is a very sweet boy who likes a neck and shoulder scratch and is consistently good to catch and handle. His turn out is on sandy soil and would not suit muddy conditions.

Three years of vet, physio and dental history are available on request. Fully up to date with all vaccinations.

Dee is a well bred mare who was lightly raced but proved too slow. She was privately bred and trained on a small family yard before being sold to us when she was six.

She has been very easy for my teenage daughter to retrain and has proved to be an excellent dressage horse winning all of her competitions.

She is a brave jumper and loves show jumping and cross country - just takes everything in her stride, never stops or refuses and holds real potential for someone to carry on her education in this sphere.

Dee has attended pony club rallies, riding club training sessions, local events and competitions. She is well schooled with three nice paces. Dee is excellent on the ground and easy to handle, she loads and travels well (we have a trailer). She is lovely to hack out and is happy to go alone or in company - doesn't nap and is 100% in all traffic - used to farm machinery etc.

In the summer she is out 24/7 and during the winter stabled at night. She is happy with or without company. She is good for the farrier, vet, dentist, etc and up-to-date with vaccinations.

She has been seen to pace in the field but this is only at meal times. No other vices.
