It is with a very heavy heart that the time has come to find a new home for my beautiful horse, Roo (Luidame I). This decision is through absolutely no fault of his own, but after a lot of thought I feel he would be much happier in a different job.

Although bred for show jumping, I don’t think the sport suits him mentally. He has three beautiful, expressive paces, is naturally uphill, and I truly believe he would excel in a dressage home where his movement can really shine.

Roo is a complete gentleman. He has even looked after a 13-year-old girl over fences and always tries his best. He hacks alone or in company, is happy turned out with other horses, and is an absolute sweetheart to handle in every way.

He is good to shoe, clip, travel, load, and has no stable vices. I’ve owned him for the past five years and know him inside out, so I will be completely honest with any potential buyer to ensure he finds the right home.

I have never hunted him, but I genuinely think he would really enjoy it if that was something his new owner wanted to do.

The only reason for this sale is that I now have two horses competing at different levels, and unfortunately I can no longer give Roo the time and attention he deserves.

This is an incredibly difficult decision, so finding him the perfect home is far more important than a quick sale.

Bell recently enjoyed a highly successful run of competitions, winning the 70cm Eventers Challenge and finishing 2nd in the 80cm Eventers Challenge, qualifying for the Sunshine Tour Championships at Hickstead in September 2026. She also placed 4th out of 8 in Prelim 5 dressage, demonstrating her versatility and competitiveness across multiple disciplines. Most recently, she finished 4th in the 80cm showjumping with a clear round and 5th in her first ever 90cm showjumping class.

Bell has been produced slowly and correctly, with her confidence, physical development and long-term future always prioritised. While she has attended selected dressage and showjumping competitions, as well as cross-country schooling sessions throughout her education, her competition schedule has deliberately been kept light. Since her very first competition as a 4-year-old, she has consistently demonstrated a brilliant attitude, taking the atmosphere and new environments completely in her stride. She was initially taken to competitions simply to gain experience and have positive outings, rather than to chase results or progress quickly through the levels. As a result, she remains a relaxed, willing and enthusiastic young horse who genuinely enjoys her work and takes new challenges in her stride. Having established a solid foundation and gained valuable experience, she is now ready to continue progressing with her next rider and fulfil her considerable potential.

Bell has also participated in several university and industry research projects involving biomechanics, saddle fitting, nutrition, massage and rider analysis, where her sensible temperament and willingness made her an ideal participant. As part of these studies, she has been fitted with a wide range of specialist equipment and sensors that many horses would find unusual. Under saddle, Bell is genuine, straightforward and willing. She is ridden in a snaffle at all times, is responsive without being sharp, and is not strong, silly or complicated. She works in a soft contact with three balanced paces and is establishing a correct foundation on the flat. She has started lateral work, including leg yield and shoulder-in, and continues to improve with every session.

Over fences, Bell is brave, careful and honest. She is not bothered by fillers, takes new questions in her stride, and has shown a natural technique over a fence. Cross-country, she confidently tackles ditches, steps, water and a variety of solid fences with a willing attitude.

She hacks happily alone or in company and is good in traffic, including lorries, tractors, cars, cyclists and motorbikes. She is not spooky or reactive and genuinely enjoys her work.

On the ground, Bell is a pleasure to have around. She is easy to catch, groom, tack up, clip, shoe, load and travel. She has excellent stable manners and is polite, kind and straightforward to manage day-to-day.

Dusty is a striking 9-year-old chestnut gelding by Billy Tudor (Cevin Z) out of a cavalier Royale mare. 

He began his eventing career in August last year and has finished in the top seven in all five of his BE100 starts to date. He won his first GO100 at Bicton despite never having previously seen a cross-country fence or dressage boards.

Most recently, Dusty led his dressage section with an impressive score of 24.8. He would make an ideal grassroots or U18s horse, while also having the scope and ability to progress up the levels in the future, as he is still very much at the beginning of his eventing career. Fit and entered in the novice at Kingston Maurward this weekend.

Prior to eventing, Dusty competed successfully in showjumping up to 1.30m, so he could equally return to pure showjumping if desired.

We have had Ginny for 5 years and have put loads of time into producing her. Star has been with his current rider since retiring from racing in 2022. He stared out eventing with much success at 90 and 100 winning at Gatcombe with many dressage scores in the 20s.

Once moving up to 100 he found the showjumping more challenging despite always getting low 20s and going clear XC.

Because of this the Owner and rider decided to focus on pure dressage and Star has excelled qualifying for the associated championships and winning the prelim gold RoR. He was also 2nd at Blenheim RoR national championships 2024. He has 57 prelim points and 29 at novice.

Star is very established on the flat at prelim and novice and could move up to elementary. He is very good at a competition and does not get hot in the ring.

He is very good to ride and hack and would never nap buck or rear however he can be spooky so isn't for a complete novice.

He is the perfect horse for someone who wants to enjoy RoR dressage and lower level jumping or clinics.

He happily lives in or out and is good to load shoe clip etc.

The best thing I can say about him is that he's literally a pleasure to take out to a lesson or a competition. Travels quietly in both of my boxes either alone in a 3.5 or with other horses in the large wagon. Always stands quietly to be tacked up and requires very little working in and just gets on with his job. He has competed at many different venues both indoors and outdoors including Kelsall in the big indoor and Arena Uk in the outdoor with another horse nextdoor and he's never spooky or silly at judges/flower pots etc.

Lives out currently but during winter was just as happy in at night. Not needy in any way.

Benny has active, correct paces and a scopey jump. After a late start through no fault of his own he is now beginning to turn into a smart competition prospect.

He schools very nicely on the flat, is snaffled mouthed, easy off the leg and is capable of producing a smart dressage test.

Naturally as his breeding suggests he has a scopey jump. However we feel this isn't what he enjoys as he lacks confidence and would need someone willing to be patient, sympathetic and take time to build his trust, making him an ideal project for the Summer months. Ideally a home with someone wanting to concentrate on his flatwork and enjoy polework/gridwork clinics, fun rides, riding club, hacking etc

Has been XC schooling which he loved and would potentially hunt. Hacks alone and in company.

Due to his competition breeding he's not a horse for a nervous or novice rider, but equally is happy to potter in the school! Would potentially suit a teenage boy/small man as through correct work he's continuing to get bigger and stronger in his frame. He would suit a varied life with someone wanting to go out and have lots of fun.
