A very sad sale of a special pony with the biggest lovable character.

When in the arena Oreo needs a confident rider who will ride him positively. Not a novice ride but thrives on building a relationship. He will do anything my son asks but they have built a bond & trust in each other.

Oreo loves his hacking & will hack alone or in company and will ride and lead. My 13yr old son hacks him alone or with friends. Good in company, happy to go in front, middle or behind. He hacks beautifully & sensible in open spaces. He will stand when asked and not a fidgety pony.

Oreo does all pony club activities including camps and all rallies from mounted games which he loves to polo to SJ & XC. Although a pony club home, we have been more focused on fun rather than competing. He is an amazing second pony and would be ideal for Hacking / pony club pony/ lightweight adult riding club pony.

Happily has jumped70/80cm with my son but due to my son being too tall now he only does the odd small jump.

Oreo is excellent with other horses and has happily lived in a herd of geldings or mares. Good with dogs.

He is good to catch, bath, load, clip and farrier (he’s barefoot & has lovely strong feet). Up to date with teeth, vaccinations & farrier.

He had a few sarcoids removed from the side of his sheath in March 2024 which have been successfully treated & all healed. This has been reflected in his price and never affected him so please don’t let this put you off, apart from a few tiny scars you wouldn’t have known he had them.

We’ve had him for 3 years and his history is known.

He has been known in the past to do an excitable bunny hop when doing XC training sometimes if he has not done it for a while while warming up but soon settles and it’s nothing that ever fazed my son or would faze a confident rider. This is a pony that loves going out & about and a pleasure to take out whether it be on a hack or to pony club.

Genuine reason forces sale as my son has hopelessly outgrown him.

He is loved very much and we would love to find him his forever home and would love to keep in touch.

He has three expressive, balanced paces and a kind, forgiving nature, making him a fantastic choice for someone wanting to learn, improve, and gain confidence with a knowledgeable partner.

Away from the arena, Finn is incredibly brave and willing. He has a great jump, happily popping fillers, and is bold cross country, confidently tackling steps, banks, and ditches. He really is the type who will turn his hoof to anything and enjoy it.

Finn has a full history known and has been in the same home for the past five years, where he has been much loved. He is now looking for a new home where he can be enjoyed more consistently, as his talent and experience deserve to be used.

He is a fabulous hack, safe and relaxed both alone and in company, and is a pleasure to have on the yard.

Finn is a rare find — a genuine schoolmaster on the flat with the bravery and attitude to excel in any sphere, whether dressage, riding club, or simply as a fun, confidence-giving partner.

Whilst Finn is an easy ride. He is still a competition horse and as such is not suitable for a novice rider.
