Eric is a hill-bred Fell Pony who came off the fell in February. Since then, he has been well handled and has been living both in and out.

At the 2026 South Cumbria Fell Pony Show, Eric won a strong yearling class before going on to take Reserve In-Hand Champion.

He comes from a proven family. His full brothers, Malcolm and Poldark, have both been shown lightly but have consistently been placed, with Malcolm taking the Youngstock Champion at this year’s Stallion Show. Eric is pictured as a foal on the fell with his dam and sister, who have both been shown very successfully.

His pedigree speaks for itself, with his sire and both grandsires having all won the Stallion Show Championship on multiple occasions.

Eric will no doubt make an excellent ridden prospect in the future and has the temperament to become a fantastic all-round family pony.

Price is sensibly negotiable to the perfect home whilst she remains un-started, but will firm up once we commence starting her under saddle, and rise as her training progresses... so if you want her well-handled but un-started at the lowest possible price, get your skates on!

Ceilidh has enough substance to comfortably carry an adult once she is mature and fit. She weighs about 475kg, so max 20% of her bodyweight will be a maximum rider weight of approx 12.5 stone (plus tack/clothing) but obviously for her early ridden work, a lighter rider will be far preferable. 9.5 stone (plus tack/clothing) will be about 15% of her bodyweight.
