Rudolph is an 11.2hh Top Class 3 year old Registered Welsh Section A Gelding bred by the renowned Menai and Friarly Stud.

He is a top draw HOYS, RI lead rein or first ridden prospect for next year.

He is a lovely, well put together, good-looking pony with correct confirmation and moves beautifully. He is a complete blank canvas and has been left out in the field to mature.

He is largely unhandled and needs someone with lots of time on the hands to work with him to show him the world is not a scary place.

He is a nice, friendly pony but needs consistency, experience, and patience. He has had his feet trimmed, is wormed up to date and happily travelled in a box.

Absolute bargain at £1000 but quick hassle free sale to the right home is extremely important.

Little Lilly has been ridden on the lead rein in the past with kids and off lead rein by a small adult. For the last few years she has purely been used as a companion pony due to the lack of a small jockey.

She is sweet and easy to have around, lives in or out and turns out with mares or geldings or she is equally happy on her own. She loads and travels well.

She is a sensitive girl and can be shy until she knows you. For example you wouldn't need to give her a pony club kick. She would suit a relatively experienced home if she was going to be starting back under saddle again.

She would equally be more than happy to be a companion or has the pedigree and looks to make a fantastic little brood mare.

  • Family home looking for a genuine FYFR pony, something for my 4year old to come off the lead.

Very neat rider who is wanting to go on her own and starting jumping with the right pony. We do all pony club events & showing. Pony must be good enough for local level showing. Open to SHP or native, nothing too young.

We have a decent budget for the right pony and can offer a long term loving home with younger children to follow on. We live on a farm and enjoy hacking so must be good in traffic.

Based in Cumbria but willing to travel

Jakey is the perfect leading rein pony. He has taken my daughter, nephew and niece from being total beginners to first ridden.

Jakey has also been used as an emergency lead rein pony for many others at Pony Club who have needed a lead rein pony for rally and mini camps. However, we have now totally outgrown him and have no more little people in the family to make use of his considerable talents.

This little man needs to find his next little jockey! He is totally trustworthy for small children on the ground and loves the attention of being plaited and groomed.

He will comfortably jump 30-50cm whether that is XC, working hunter style jumps or SJ. His strength is as a lead rein pony. This is where he excels, but he will also hack out off the lead rope, complete a dressage test, SJ and XC round if needed.

He is perfect to clip, shoe, flu jab and worm. Many more photos and videos available on request.

Sadly due to being outgrown Rhosiwan Cappuchino (Chino) is now looking for a new little superstar to discover their love for riding.
Chino truly is every mothers dream pony. He has taken our daughter, then 8, from a nervous worried rider, to a confident, quality, incredibly neat jockey.

He is a true first ridden and is ready to take his newest jockey off the lead and fill them with confidence.

Chino has never let us down, is always in the ribbons, and loves to turn his hoof to anything, coming 4th First Ridden at STARS 2022. He is happy to pop a jump, cross poles etc. Hacks out alone or in company, he is also well used to being ridden on the beach.

He regularly travels to shows, clinics, and pony club. Loads first time, every time, never had lami and is shod all round.

He is an absolute saint to have around, and will stand be be fussed all day. Loads straight away, comes off the box and straight into the ring without fuss or exception.

He will be available to see at STARS Champion of Champions Aintree, and available to try and leave after.

This is an extremely sad sale, as we all truly love him and had my son been more interested he would absolutely not be leaving. Countless pictures and videos available upon request.

Chino will also leave with his bridle and saddle that has been fitted to him.

Unfortunately in April 2022 he suffered an injury to his right hind fetlock with a minor tear to the ligament. This fully healed with box rest, however cortisone injections are ongoing. Full disclosure of this will be available from the attending veterinary practice.

First Ridden Pony - Every mothers dream

  • Genuine & honest - more 'Woah than Go'
  • Ultimate confidence giver - enviable temperament

Exceptionally pretty and unbelievably kind-natured 12-2 Bay (non-marish) mare is looking for a fortunate, new jockey having sadly been outgrown by our daughter.

Having been with us for almost 2 years, she's never put a foot wrong & has safely taught and taken our now 11-year-old daughter on a brilliant and solid riding journey: from her 1st ridden pony through to being a confident, tenacious 2-legs to 2-hands rider.

She’s a genuine - and much adored by all - pony who has been schooled and brought on very nicely over the last 18 months. A fabulous Pony Club pony (she's done multiple rallies, been placed in PC shows, and thrives safely in a stay-away PC Camp environment).

***As a 1st ridden pony, you honestly couldn’t ask for more as a parent or child. As a 2nd pony she needs a jockey who rides regularly, confidently with tenacity and who has been taught under instruction / is able to ride 2-legs to 2-reins***

She’s been there, done that, and is a gentle, kind, complete confidence giver.

She has no vices, clips, travels, and hacks well, enjoys her schooling, jumps, is a joy to ride and is insanely patient on the ground.

She pops over 70’s / 80’s with ease but is also happy and safe helping your young jockey learn the ropes over something smaller. She sensibly, respectfully, and safely comes alive on the cross-country field.

She has had a successful pre-sales vetting where no changes were seen since our successful vetting in May 2022.

If you're the right family for our wonder pony, please WhatsApp / call for information and videos about our happy journey with her.

Serious inquiries only, please. All future homes (must be 5-star and knowledgeable) will be vetted.

Writing this advert is such a sad time for us as a family as Percy has been nothing but fantastic. Unfortunately my son has moved onto his second pony and even Percy’s loaners are moving on to the next pony.

You name this pony has done it. He loves to stand there all day for grooms and kisses.

He really does have a heart of gold and is an exceptional pony to have in the yard.

Good with dogs, traffic, clipping, trimming, open spaces, games equipment, fillers, scary bags in the brush.

My boy was a nervous rider and he has given him the confidence to go onto a second pony, this pony just keeps giving all his little riders so much confidence. They always come back with a smile.

Kids can be playing and shouting and throwing balls, dogs can be barking and running around and he will still listen to his rider and trot round nicely.

He is only available to the very best of homes as he is my boys best friend and his loaners also want to keep in contact.

Not up for loan he needs to be sold unfortunately due to the new pony.

He has done pony club games and jumping up to 30/40cms. He goes off the lead rein. He has done a beautiful dressage test. Great at a show he is the same honest genuine boy.

He loves to teach children off the lead rein and certainly develops the child’s confidence as he needs legs to go and has good brakes.

Please no timewasters nobody just wanting a free ride!!! This is a heartbreaking sale

Sadly we have come to the decision to part with our beautiful Dolly who my daughter has unfortunately outgrown.

Dolly has great blood lines and would make a perfect show pony too.

She is superb ridden pony who enjoys every bit of work including hacking.

She excels in the show ring, she is not a spooky or silly type and will go on to make a brilliant 1st or 2nd pony for a young child who wants to go out showing or show jumping.

She has experience showjumping which my daughter often places between 1st & 3rd from 30cm to 60cm she has the potential to go far with the right rider.

She is good to hack alone and in company , safe in open spaces & brilliant XC. She’s also the perfect pony club pony.

Dolly has been handled daily by young children & never bitten or kicked . A real easy pony to do in all ways & a pleasure to own.

She is easy to catch, groom, tack up and loads easily too.

This is an extremely sad sale and our priority is finding her the best home.

She will not just go to anyone .

This is the most heartbreaking sale of my daughters best friend. Woody has taught my daughter everything she knows and we owe him the world so he will only be sold to the very best of homes. However, he’s done his job so well that she is ready for a step up.

Woody is as safe as they come. He is perfect to hack, I’ve literally walked him past a house being demolished with a 2yr old on and he didn’t bat an eyelid, he’s great in open spaces and will happily canter along at the back with a tiny tot. We have taken woody on hacking holidays and he was foot perfect.

In the arena, woody is more whoa than go which is why he’s great to teach a little one how to ride, if they feel unsure, take their leg off, or get unbalanced he will literally stop. That being said he will happily canter round a course of jumps with a stronger rider or trot round on lead rein with a beginner. Woody is established in all 3 paces and has beautiful movement, he does very well in the show ring, and is always in the ribbons, his breeder was hoping he would make it to Hoys one day so would love to see him in a showing home. He has good bone and breeding.

Equally, Woody makes a great all rounder and has taken part in pony club competitions and rallies where he qualified for the Bicton championships both on lead rein and assisted. He’s also been XC schooling.

Woody is great to load and travel, he will happily stand by a trailer alone, good for the farrier and is currently barefoot. He’s a dream to clip and used to being stabled at night so enjoys a routine.

Woody can sometimes be a little grumpy on the ground, he’s happy to stand and be brushed, bathed etc but can sometimes pull faces when being rugged, tacked up etc.

Woody has no vet history, however, he does sometimes windsuck and this is reflected in the price.

Endless videos on request.

No tack included

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Frankie is a seriously fun pony for the right jockey, but he is also excellent on the lead rein.

He would really suit a confident little rider who is keen to get out to events and competitions. He has been to Pony Club rallies, and one-day competitions and events and always behaves really well. He has real show jumping potential and easily manages a course of 30-50cm, but could jump 65cm+ with ease. Frankie also does a lovely dressage.

He has a really lovely temperament, and adores human company.

We tend to hack Frankie with his current companion but think he would be fine to go alone also. He hacks in a group and will lead a group happily or stay behind and can be on or off lead rope.

Good in traffic, loads and travels well, good for the farrier (not shod just has his feet trimmed). Up-to-date with teeth, vaccinations and worm counts.

Good being out or in stable, and fine to be left in stable alone also.

We are having to sell Frankie because my daughter is sadly outgrowing him. We will miss him so much.

We want to find him a happy and loving home. Price includes full tack. We have lots of photos and videos.

Also happy to consider offering Frankie for loan and lease.

Viewing by appointment at home.

5yrs old Reg part bred sec A mare approx 12hds.

Kitty is a very sweet kind little pony who is willing to please. Due to her age she is still a little green but has a lovely kind nature.

Ideal leadrein/2nd pony in the making. She may well make a super 1st pony in time. She certainly has the temperament for it she just needs time to mature.

She's a fun little pony a real mothers dream/PC allrounder.

Kitty has lovely paces good enough for the showring. She would make a top cradle stakes pony as she is showing a super genuine technique over a fence, snaffle mouthed, straightforward and bold.

Experienced home sort for this smashing little pony in the making. Good to hack, handle, load, farrier etc.

Welsh/Shropshire border. Price will increase as her education improves.
