118cm Dartmoor gelding. Harry had been a wonderful pony for my daughter but sadly she won’t stop growing so we’ve made the hard decision that he needs to find a new jockey to win sashes for.

Just missed qualifying for hoys last year by 1 mark at the last qualifier as we had only just collected him that week.

He knows his job well and thrives on it. Easily qualified RI and placed well in the few hoys he has done this year. He was 4th at hoys before we got him.

Never sick or sorry. No plugs or calmers. Great at big county shows in buzzy atmospheres.

He has won many sashes and supremes with us and would not be for sale if our daughter wasn’t as tall.

Ragnar

13hh

Ragnar has been backed by my 9 year old and has been a star. He has done beach rides, fun rides, hunted, goes to the gallops and is sensible and safe he has also done some local shows and dressage and really enjoys his work.

He is good with the farrier, clip, bath and load (my 9 year old loads him on her own.)

He is stabled currently but can also live in or out he doesn't mind being the first out the field or last he can also be left on his own and not be bothered, hes very easy to catch.

He has just had his teeth done (had his wolf tooth taken out in Feb) up to date with vaccinations and worming.
He is barefoot and has great feet we do quite a bit of hacking with him.
He will go first or last and hacks out confidently on his own always looking after his rider.
He is great in open spaces.
He will jump logs and coloured poles and goes through any water you ask.
He would suit a teenager or small adult but equally would make a good LR pony not suitable as a FR purely due to his age.

The type of boy you can leave for weeks and jump back on and he will be as good as gold.

His only 'vice' is that he can pull faces when he has a hard feed in his stable.

Sad sale of a much loved pony but feel he is wasted with us and could go far with the right partnership.

Will come with his tack and rugs.

Amber is a charming, willing and versatile pony who would make a fantastic lead rein or second pony for a confident young rider.

In the school, Amber works sweetly in all three paces and will happily pop a fence, both in the arena and out on the cross-country course. She’s a naturally steady ride, but will step up the pace when asked. She’s not strong but can nap with beginner riders off the lead in the school, so as an honest assessment would say she is more suited as a lead rein or a confident riders 2nd Pony.

She is at her best when out hacking. She can be hacked alone or in company and isn’t fazed by traffic.

Amber is excellent to handle and adored by even the smallest of children. She loves fuss, grooming and attention. She is currently barefoot and is exemplary for the farrier, vet and clipping. She can live happily on her own or in a herd, and we stable her in winter and turn out in summer. Great to catch and travels well. She’s easy in all respects.

With her eye-catching markings and lovely paces, she has real potential as a showing pony. We’ve also been advised that she previously did ride and drive, although we haven’t tested this ourselves.

I’m confident with more time, expertise and work she will blossom in the school.

She is a substantial little mare who could easily carry a small lightweight adult as well.

Comes with her tack.

Very sad sale of our family pony of 10 years! Prince is a 14yr old 11.1 Section A

He was our daughter’s first pony who she has learnt a lot on but we would suggest that he is more a SECOND pony/Lead rein or for a competent child as he is can be cheeky (in the school) if he knows the rider is a complete beginner.

By cheeky I mean he will pull the reins out your hands and put his head to the floor or walk back to the gate of the arena or just stand there!

He has never bolted or anything like that and you hardly need any breaks with him, he’s more of a leg on!

He would also suit a lead rein as he’s good as gold on lead.

He has enjoyed many hacks, lessons, fun rides and pony club.

He has sadly been outgrown now and is wasted with us.

He lives out 24/7, barefoot and has never had the vet in 10 years.

Loves to be pampered, would also love stable life, in fact that would be my preference for him to have a stable at night as he loves a lay down.

He loved jumping with my daughter but did find with less experienced riders without enough leg on him he would stop before the jump but with my daughter riding him he never did this.

He has the best personality and I’ve been debating since last summer what to do with him as he’s more part of the family but he’s just being wasted now so he needs bringing back to fitness as he is without a rider.

Lots of videos and pictures that can be shared of him. We wanted an honest advert as this is a hard enough sale so please no time wasters.

Prince will come with his bridle and saddle.

He is very good for the farrier, dentist and loading in the trailer.

He is bomb proof on the roads and super confident and used to lead the hacks out most of the time. I would consider loan with view to buy if close to Bristol to make sure he is in the right home as I do not want him passed around.

She has only ever been ridden by children which is a testament to her temperament, they do not come more genuine than her.

Attended her first show for practice last weekend and was an absolute diamond, no lunging needed, she took every minute in her stride.

A true Barbie pony! Golden palomino with a bright white mane and tail. Excellent conformation and beautiful movement.

She has hacked out alone and in company and is sensible on the roads. She is the easiest pony to have around, she is quiet and straight forward, you could trust her around the smallest of children.

We are looking for a superstar pony for our petite 8 year old (120cm) approx 11.2 - 12.2hh

He is walking, trotting and cantering off the lead and currently trotting small courses up to about 40cm.

We are looking for a kind, experienced pony who can hold his hand and help his confidence soar and safely take him out to competitions - primarily dressage and showjumping. Must know their job and not constantly test as the nerves can sometimes creep in.

Will have a varied life to include lessons, beach rides, farm picnic rides, hacking, NSEA and pony club.
Must go for little legs and be suitable for a child to handle.

We would love a true child’s best friend - the sort you can do fancy dress on at your local show, go to camp or stay aways without them getting unsettled and most importantly, something that enjoys lots of cuddles and kisses!

Some minor health conditions considered as long as disclosed and reflected in the price.

We are an experienced family home and have a younger sibling waiting in the wings, so would like something that we can treasure for many years.

Sensible budget.
Ideally located within 2 hours of Dorset

  • Great pony for kids to learn to ride.

A bit about Clover: 14years old Welsh A, approx 11.2hh, owned for two and a half years. Has taken my daughter from just getting off lead rein to completely independent. Has done lots of hacking around the farm (probably her strongest suit), Pony Club camp x 2, rallies, local shows and lessons.

She jumps up to 40/50 (we’ve not asked her to do more) . She is a sensitive little mare and would suit a lead rein or else she needs a confident but sympathetic jockey. She is never sick or sorry, lives on fresh air, currently living out in a mixed herd but she does feel the cold if it is wet and would probably prefer to come in at night in the winter!

She is good to clip, for farrier and vet (has only ever needed vaccs and teeth doing!) and loads and travels brilliantly. She is barefoot and up to date with vaccs, worming, teeth and comes with tack and rugs. She is comfortable will all farm machinery and a variety of animals! Snaffle mouthed and never strong or taken off.

Has a perianal melanoma that has changed minimally since we got her. She is a sweet pony and does not do to much wrong but like most ponies when kids are learning to ride and not doing to much on top she is capable of doing the odd small spook. She will teaches the child to kick and tell them to get on with it! She does not do anything dangerous or determined.

She has been with only 3 families since she was 3yrs old, so not been passed around. Very calm in the stable and field, not worried about being on her own.

Frankie is the calmest, considerate, gentleman who always takes care of his riders. Ridden by tiny tots to small adults, weight carrier with a good amount of bone.

Tonnes of experience and unbelievably safe. Ideal for a beginner, nervous rider or a rider who wants a chilled relaxing ride, he is super steady, calm and gentle in every way, he is more whoa than go, even though he is super safe, he responds to the leg and has 3 nice paces. He is willing and will do what you ask, even pops a small jump or log, he walks, trots and canters steadily. Frankie has done Pony Club / Riding Club / fun rides / beach rides / low level competitions under Saddle and in hand prior to coming to us.
He is a fantastic all-rounder.

This is a really fantastic pony for anyone to build up their confidence, learn to ride and continue to progress on.
Definitely a 1st Pony

13 yrs schoolmaster

Exceptional gelding with tonnes of experience for sale. Has spent the last few years in the same riding school where he has been ridden by complete novice and intermediate riders both children and small adults. He has done all flat work lessons, privates and groups. He is very genuine and loves to hack out, he doesn’t pull, rush, spook or get nervous of anything, he is the most loving gelding you could ever wish to meet. . he is one of the favourite with our SEN children and small adults, he participates in all our RDA lessons, hacks and stable management sessions.

Absolutely no vices, when ridden, in the stable or in the field and has brilliant manners enabling anyone to handle him safely and with ease, will stand for hours with no head collar or lead rope being groomed.

He has exceptional manners and ticks so many boxes for someone looking for a very safe easy schoolmaster, with no ifs or buts.

Frankie will hack out alone or in company in the heaviest fast moving traffic without batting an eye lid. He has seen all farm machinery as we use it on the farm daily. He is 100% safe, steady and collected when ridden in all paces across open fields, regardless of whether he is at the front, middle, back of the ride or on his own, he will not rush or pull even on the way home.

Snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets.

He lives within a mixed herd, stabled during the day and turned out at night, he prefers to be stabled full time, he keeps himself to himself and never causes any trouble despite being out with a large mixed herd.
He is currently barefoot and has excellent manners with the farrier and could be shod if needed. he ties up anywhere, and loves attention.
He is excellent to catch, clip, bath, load, travel, with the farrier, vet and dentist.

Frankie would give confidence to any rider / handler and could easily return to low level riding club / pony club / fun rides / beach rides.

He can go for months without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, he is extremely low maintenance, he maintains his weight all year round on grass, hay, haylage during the winter months.
He has never been lame had laminitis, sweet-itch, sarcoids, never been sick or sorry, no lumps or bumps. Never needed a vet in the whole time we have had him.

I can honestly say he has never been lame, sick or sorry, my vet can verify this, he passes the riding school annual license inspections with flying colours, this is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

Looking for a five star private home to give someone the opportunity to purchase a safe and very sensible horse, with so much to offer.

Absolute heartbreaking sale but we like to change our stock around every few years to give our fantastic horses and ponies the opportunity to experience a one to one home again. Sold on behalf of a working livery.

Penny is a really quality little mini cob mare .. 12.1 at the moment  4 yo .. but still has a bit of growing to do .. likely to make strong 12.2.

Clean limbs, good sort. Really lovely temperament.. sweet and kind in everyway.. the type you can fetch all the others in and leave in the field and she won't flinch. A really gentle little mare.

Done plenty of lead rein with my little boy but he is not the slightest bit interested so someone else may as well be enjoying her .. we did LR classes, handy pony , fancy dress and even some tiny LR jumping last summer..he can barely ride or rise so she was quite used to him wobbling about all over the place..videos attached show her temperament..

Nanny (65) did some light work with her off the lead rein last summer.. hacking, riding in the woods and she went on a arena couple of times before being turned away for the winter to mature.

Back in a few weeks and hacking out .. really filled out and matured but still has plenty left to do .. no bother to get on .. you could leave her for a year and climb on .

Obviously a young pony so needs producing further and educating but has a very naturally quiet temperament and is easy in all respects.

Ideal for LR or for a small mum to produce along side child.. or plenty big enough for a little adult.. ( nanny is 7. 5 stone ish )  . Has lovely paces and a neat little jump.. enough step to progress up the BD levels produced or make a fantastic family allrounder.

Not too many like her around. Good to box, trim and on traffic.

Long term loving home please.

Video attached taken today 13/02 .. first time in arena since back in work.

Based oswestry,shropshire.

Price will increse as we hace her out to clinics and competitions.

Delilah is a much loved pony and although I had hoped to keep her one more year, my daughter's long legs say otherwise!

We bought Delilah directly off her breeder as a just backed 4yo. From there, we did a season of lead-rein m&m, lead-rein working hunter progressing to first ridden the following year and adding tiny tots working hunter last year. She was points champion every year, representing her riding club at STARS 3 years running. She also did a couple of affiliated shows being reserve champion and could easily be a RIHS/HOYS pony.

Delilah has been in group lessons and pony club, indoors and outdoors, grass and surfaces. She excels at handy pony - walks over sheets, stands still to post a letter and more recently, really enjoyed a go at mounted games.

My daughter (now aged 10) has done all the work herself, no other riders needed. They learned to canter at the same time, to jump at the same time, everything! Delilah just took things in her stride. She does not alter when at STARS, copes well with a big atmosphere. She hacks out happily but has not been out solo given my daughter's young age. You can leave her for a couple of weeks, get on her and expect her to be exactly the same. She is never in a rush but at the same time, is not a slug. Will just do what she is asked and no more.

Delilah is a real quality pony - clean limbed, straight moving and well put together. AHC at 121.8cm.

Delilah did have a bout of laminitis last summer when living out. She now comes in at night and needs to do so with future owners so she can't binge!

Delilah comes with a native pony bridle, full set of rugs. Saddles available by seperate negotiation.

Percy is 7 years old and by Glyncoch King Cai out of Plasderw Picabo. We bought him from the Friarly Stud as a 3 year old and had been in the same home since.

Percy has a lovely temperament and has easily been handled and led by a 3 year old child. He has been ridden both on and off lead rein, and is a straightforward ride. He is currently very low mileage due to lack of rider, but would excel as a lead rein show pony. He has been correctly started and is easy to long line and work from the ground.

He would also make a good ridden prospect for an older child. He is full brother to Friarly Pablo who has many wins in showing and dressage.

Percy is good to catch and handle, loads and travels easily and is good for the farrier. He is fully up to date with vaccinations and dentals.

Price includes a fitted saddle.

A forward, fun ride. A real speed demon around a showjumping course. Always guaranteed to bring home the red ribbons.

She loves her job and shows no signs of slowing down.

She really is the most well mannered pony both on the ground and ridden.

Easy to do in all ways. Great to load, clip and with the farrier.

Barefoot all year round.

Will live in or out.

A true gem of a pony.

Tack and rugs available by separate negotiation.
