Winner M&M LR final TSR Amateur of the year show 2025

11yr old black Welsh Section A, Gelding, 11.2hh

Bobby is an absolute superstar tiny tots Lead Rein pony. He will carry the smallest of jockeys safely around the biggest of atmosphere's. Doesn't mind a little one wobbling around on his back.

Qualifies for M&M LR NPS Scotland finals every year, (also qualified as a FR in 2025)

Was also 3rd out of 50 in the M&M LR final at stars 2024.

Bobby was bought to introduce our family into showing county level - too many wins and championships to mention - and he has done just that. Taking both my daughters from when they were 3yrs old and teaching them up downs. He has been ridden off the lead in First Ridden but needs longer legs to keep him going.

Bobby loves a varied life and we have successfully competed him in SJ, XC, WH and hunting. Will happily lead from another horse.

All Vaccs, worming, farrier up to date, Happily travels in a lorry or a trailer.

This is a very sad sale of a much loved pony, but my daughter has moved on to a Show Pony and we would love for him to go and do the same for another family that he has done for us.

Please no time wasters.

Cindahren serenade (Maddie) is a 11.2 beautiful roan mare.

How this mare hasn’t had any viewing yet I really don’t know!!!

Maddie is a real confident giver and will turn her hoof to everything that is asked of her.

Maddie is good to hack on and off the leadrein will always make sure her rider is safe and is good in traffic. She is use to all farm machinery, livestock and loud children.

Maddie is 100% to catch. currently lives out in a mixed herd however is stabled at night currently.

Is very easy to do in all ways good with farrier, dentists, boxing, lunging and meany more.

Up to date with vaccinations and dentist

Maddie has never bucked, reared, bolted and has amazing ground manners, being very patient. However she can be a-bit mare ish and pull faces.

Maddie is being sold from a riding school where she has mainly been used as a lead rein pony with complete beginners on her back. she is more of a second pony off lead rein with her being a-bit more stubben however with a more confident little rider she will be brilliant.

Maddie has previously been to local shows where she was always in the ribbons. Good to jump will pop a small cross and look after her rider.

However Maddie dose have a history of laminitis this is easily managed and hasn’t courses any problems since.

Extremely sad sale due to us not having enough little riders. Maddie is ready to have one to one private home where she can teach her next little rider everything. Serious inquiries only videos available. Maddie also comes with tack (saddle & bridle)

Scooby Doo – The Ultimate First Pony

Scooby Doo is the quietest, kindest and most sensible little pony you could ever wish to meet. He is exceptionally safe, with impeccable manners both under saddle and on the ground, making him the perfect first pony both on and off the lead rein.

He will happily walk, trot and canter beautifully on the lead rein for children taking their very first steps into riding. Off the lead rein, he is equally happy carrying riders who are holding the saddle handle while building confidence, as well as those riding independently. He truly has a young body with an old head on his shoulders. He is never spooky, sharp, strong or silly and always takes wonderful care of his riders.

Over the past 15 months, Scooby Doo has worked in a professional riding school where he has safely taught hundreds of children, from tiny tots aged just two years old through to more established young riders. He has patiently introduced countless children to walk, trot, canter and their very first jumps. He has three beautifully balanced, steady paces and responds exceptionally well to the voice, allowing beginners who are still holding the saddle handle to be guided confidently without needing rein contact.

Scooby has never bolted, reared, bitten or shown any nasty traits. He has the sweetest, kindest nature any parent could wish for. He IS NOT cheeky, mischievous or naughty like some little ponies can be. He greets everyone with his ears pricked forward, comes to call from the field and absolutely adores kisses, cuddles and attention. He truly is every child’s dream pony, with the most adorable little face that you simply can’t help but fall in love with.

He waits patiently in group lesson waiting for his turn, is equally well behaved in private lessons, and has taken part in our in-house competitions including Lead Rein classes, Handy Pony, Fancy Dress and Pony Club rallies.

He has a lovely snaffle mouth and requires no gadgets.

Scooby is affectionately known as our “large puppy dog” because of his incredibly affectionate, gentle and loyal personality. He adores people and will happily follow you around the yard without a headcollar or lead rope. He stands quietly to be groomed, bathed and fussed over, and genuinely loves attention.

His manners are second to none, allowing even the youngest children to confidently catch him from the field, lead him, groom him, pick out his feet, tack him up and care for him safely.

He is a firm favourite during our stable management courses and therapy sessions, where his calm, trustworthy nature allows children to build confidence while working independently.

Scooby is exceptional out hacking. He is completely unfazed by heavy, fast-moving traffic and has seen everything from articulated lorries, double-decker buses, tractors and trailers to motorbikes, bicycles, prams / trolleys and dogs, absolutely nothing fazes him.

He hacks confidently both alone and in company, happily leading or following. He is never strong, nappy or silly and is perfectly content to stay at the back of the ride without trying to overtake, maintaining whatever pace is asked of him. In open spaces he remains calm, relaxed and sensible. If the other horses canter away, Scooby is more than happy to stay behind with his rider, and he will patiently wait if the others return home ahead of him.

Scooby enjoys jumping and will happily pop a small course of coloured or rustic fences, both on and off the lead rein, always giving his rider confidence.

He is excellent to clip, catch, load, travel, shoe and stands perfectly for the dentist, farrier and vet. He loads first time, every time, travels impeccably and is an absolute pleasure to take out and about.

Scooby has recently passed our annual Riding School Licence inspection, carried out by a veterinary surgeon, which is comparable to a Stage 2 vetting.

During the entire time we have owned him, he has never been sick, lame, suffered from colic or required any time off through injury or illness. He is fit, healthy and in excellent condition, with no sarcoids, sweet itch, laminitis, lumps or bumps.

He is wonderfully low maintenance and doesn’t need riding every day. He can happily have four weeks off and return to work exactly as he left it, without any fuss or freshness. He currently works four days a week in our riding school and thoroughly enjoys his job. Sold on behalf of a working livery.

We have several horses and ponies available for viewing.

Scooby has a very simple routine and is incredibly easy to keep. He has a basic diet of haylage when stabled and grass when turned out. He currently lives in a mixed herd of 25 horses, is stabled during the day when working and turned out overnight. Equally, he would be perfectly happy living out full-time or being stabled full-time. He is not clingy and is equally content living or turning out on his own if required.

Scooby is only available because we regularly rotate our riding school horses after around 12 months to two years. We strongly believe these wonderful ponies deserve the opportunity to enjoy a one-to-one family home where they receive individual attention, more variety and plenty of fun adventures. They work incredibly hard teaching children and give so much of themselves every single day, so we feel they deserve the very best next chapter.

Whoever is lucky enough to buy Scooby will not just be purchasing a pony—they will be gaining a kind, genuine and utterly trustworthy family member who will give a child years of confidence, fun and unforgettable memories.

  • SUNSHINE TOUR QUALIFIER - Great to hack, jump, games, x-country, fancy dress, handy pony etc!

Our lead rein queen has done her job and my daughter is now ready to move on. My daughter has gone from being wobbly jelly, to a beautiful rising trot, first canters, and winning show jumping rounds, all on the lead. They won the winter showjumping league in May in both x-poles and 40cm. She’s also got 4x qualifications for sunshine tour at Hickstead which is my daughters dream, however, the new pony has fallen into our hands and we can’t keep two, as much as we’d love to!

She is an 11.3 (LHC) REGISTERED Welsh A chestnut mare with flaxen mane and tail. The pretty type you could show if you were a showing family- we are more into handy pony and jumping.

There are not many ponies you can take in the garden/house and on the school run with around 70 school kids surrounding and grabbing at them, she really is the most chilled lead rein pony.

She’s the type that can be bathed and plaited by kids, cartwheeled around, dressed up with sheets over her head to be a ghost(!) at halloween, tinsel at Christmas, all the non-horsey school friends coming for rides after school and have non-horsey dads tack her up!

She is not being sold as a first ridden as has not been used as this, she’s been our lead rein queen. I imagine older competent siblings or petite parents could school her and get her to this stage, but that’s not for us.

Great to load, clip, trim(barefoot), happy to stand on box all day, chilled at shows, up to date with teeth and vaccs etc. Fit and ready to go after a successful camp!

Tonnes of videos and pictures. Serious enquiries only as I will have a heartbroken little girl during this process. 07827441311.

UPDATE: If our girlie goes before our holiday (last week of Aug) I will minus the holiday cover fees as that’s only fair. Reduced to £4000 to go before holiday.

Bella is without doubt the yard favourite.

She is so easy to handle even for those who might be inexperienced. She has character and is a real head turner at shows. She is ideal for a family who want to do a bit of everything, she is so versatile and is not a pony that has to be ridden every day to perform well at the weekends. If your chosen discipline is show jumping, she would make a fantastic under 10 pony.

She is ready to bring huge smiles to her next jockey and provide hours of joy happiness.

  • Actively looking for the best Pony Club ponies
  • Some fabulous knowledgeable homes waiting
  • No fees for sellers

I have motivated clients looking for genuine, kind, quality and proven ponies to take part in all Pony Club activities.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There is no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

All leads will be handled with discretion. Please feel free to give me a call, drop me a WhatsApp or check out my Instagram page @theponysearchagent

  • He would plait as a superb lead rein or open 122 show hunter pony

Dycott Bari- full up 12hh 5yr old welsh A gelding by the renowned supreme harness champion, Senny Kendall. Dapple grey with 2 white hind socks.

Baz is a lovely pony with plenty of bone, substance as well as excellent big straight movement.

He is good to do in all ways, completely ridden by children and ridden bareback here both from the field and in the school. We feel he would plait as a superb lead rein or open 122 show hunter pony.

Baz is sold more as a project because he’s more of a 2nd pony for a more capable rider off the lead. He will happily carry a small child around on the lead however he can have the occasional nap off the lead (so therefore currently unsuitable for a tiny tot off the lead) although he is safe and not sharp in anyway.

He’s popped upto 60cm with fillers and we took him to XC where he flew everything asked of him including going through water and up and down steps. We feel in the right home, he would be the perfect pony for a child to have some all-round fun on him.. Baz went to his first dressage and gained a 2nd in his first ever prelim.

He’s for sale on behalf of a friend who is gutted to let him go, however her daughter is 5’7 and too tall so he’s looking for his next little person to have some fun and love him.

He is good to catch, hack, load.. good to do and deal with at a show- however he is not a fan of trimmers.

Baz is only Available to a 10* home. Please no dreamers, time wasters or video collectors (plenty available to a genuine purchaser). He’s priced to sell.

Lucky is a registered section A with some lovely hoys winning lines.

A very sad sale of a truly special pony, Lucky has been in the same home since he was just 4 years old and is only for sale as he has sadly been outgrown.

Lucky is a true lead rein pony with the most fantastic temperament and has given us so many wonderful memories over the years. He is a lovely, kind and genuine pony who is a pleasure to have around and is amazing to do on the ground.

He is fantastic, eye catching pony with very straight forward paces to die for in the show ring.

Is consistently in the top places at local shows and up to county level with many 1st places and championships to his name.

With the ability to qualify at a higher level, just something my child hasn’t had much interest in doing and has preferred the lower level stuff and just enjoy his pony.

Lucky hacks on or off the lead rein, and will happily go out both alone or in company. He enjoys his jumping and has experience doing school show jumping.

Has hunted and proven to be sane and sensible.

He is excellent to handle, loads and travels perfectly and is a genuine pleasure to have around. Happy to be fused all day look. His teeth, vaccinations and worming are all up to date.

This is a heartbreaking sale of a much-loved pony who has been a huge part of our family for the last six years. We are now looking for his next forever home, where he can give another little rider and their family as much fun, confidence and happy memories as he has given us.

Lucky really is a special little pony with a wonderful temperament and a fantastic record, and the right home is incredibly important to us. We would love to find him a family who will love him as much as we do. ❤️🐴

Twinkle is an ideal starter pony for a child that wants to learn the basics whether that be on the lead rein or independantly, up downs / first canter/ first jumps etc safely and is happiest at this level.

🌟🦄Twinkle 🌟🦄

Has taught my daughter to ride competently and confidently off the lead rein walk, trot, canter and jumping a small course, she is the perfect pony for any small jockey to learn the ropes on and off the lead and 100% knows her job as this.

Attended many pony club rallies, dressage competitions, arena hires, clear rounds, beach , farm rides.

She hacks alone or in company always reliable, never spooky or silly 100% bomb proof on the roads. Will be lead from another horse with / without a jockey.

Perfect in open spaces, farm rides, beach etc will go at the front or back doesnt get silly on outings. Handled by my daughter for everything.

Good to clip, shoe, teeth, bath etc .

She does have small vet history none of which affects her in any way ridden and is in full work,.a small compromise for such a wonderful pony for a child to learn the ropes independently.

This is a very hard decision of our much loved pony, we must find twinkle the very best of homes, I am in no rush for her to go.

With full wardrobe (except saddle)

  • 13hh - 15 2hh
  • RDA centre needing LWVTB/Loan
  • Temperament is more important than breed

We are looking for any breed for LWVTB as they will need to be trialled in our RDA environment before purchasing to see if they're suited to this lifestyle before a participant can ride them. This is as much for the ponies as the suitability for riders.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.

If you would like to check out our RDA centre we are online and Facebook as Elisabeth Curtis Centre.

12hh Registered Dartmoor Gelding | 17 Years | Exceptional First Ridden / Lead Rein

Max is a beautiful, talented 12hh registered Dartmoor gelding with lovely paces and an equally lovely personality.

We have owned Max since April, but he is sadly too much pony for my very small 5-year-old, who is now wanting to come off the lead rein. I had hoped he would be a FYFR and to an extent he absolutely is, but he would be better suited to a slightly bigger child or stronger child. My daughter is simply too small and finds his paces too big she is very petite.

My 9-year-old daughter and her friends absolutely adore riding him, but she already has her own pony, which is the only reason he is available.

Max is an absolute saint on the lead rein. He happily works in this role, is kind and genuine, and has been ridden by my youngest with complete confidence. However, as we already have a dedicated lead rein pony, we simply can't justify keeping two.

Off the lead, Max has been ridden by my eldest daughter and her friends in all three paces, and they all thoroughly enjoy him. He is willing, straightforward and has beautiful movement.

Max has attended many shows since been with us. He has competed at:

Lincolnshire County Show

The Great Yorkshire Show in prestigious HOYS Lead Rein and First Ridden classes

Arena UK

BSPS shows

London International Horse Show qualifier, where he was placed 6th in a large First Ridden Working Sports Pony class.

He has also attended Pony Club activities and has proven to be an exceptional dressage pony. He has won at every dressage outing with us and I genuinely believe this is an area where he could really excel. Most recently, he competed at Pony Club Area Dressage, producing a lovely test with a rider who had only sat on him once beforehand.

Max also has a fantastic jump. We haven't focused heavily on jumping during our ownership, but everything he has done has been very promising, and we will continue to develop this while he remains with us.

He has already qualified for the Amateur of the Year Final at Stoneleigh Park this November in both the Lead Rein and First Ridden classes, and these qualifications will transfer to his new home.

This is a genuinely heartbreaking sale, and one I have thought long and hard about. Max deserves a home where he can continue to fulfil his potential and be enjoyed by a child who is the right size and stage for him. He is a quality pony with a wonderful temperament and so much more to offer.

Serious enquiries only, please. The right home is far more important than a quick sale.

We are on the hunt for that pony. 🦄

You know the one.

The mothers dream pony. The schoolmaster. The “why on earth are they selling this?!” type. The one you’ve considered having more children for…

Looking for:

🐴 12.2–13hh, gelding preferred (but a non-mareish mare very welcome!)

🐴 Kind, forgiving, mannerly & genuinely unflappable

🐴 100% in open spaces — we live on a farm, so no hedges to cling to!

🐴 Hacks alone & in company

🐴 Happy taking a small 9yo from 50cm towards 70cm without drama

🐴 Pony Club, school teams, hacking & generally being a child’s best friend

Our rider has a beautiful seat and hands and currently jumps 50cm out and 60cm+ at home on a saintly type.

What they absolutely don’t need: mind games, drama or “character building” via unexpected flying lessons. 😂

We’re looking for confidence, not chaos — the sort that encounters excitement and thinks, “Absolutely not. I’m a professional.”

The home is experienced, knowledgeable and slightly obsessive, on a farm with turnout, routine and a varied life. This pony will want for nothing.

We know these unicorns are rarely advertised… but if you have a special little legend looking to step down, be adored and make a child’s world, please get in touch. Emotional sellers very much welcome. ❤️

💰 Low 5 figures available for the right pony

📍 Ideally within 2 hours of Dorset

Please share — you never know where the unicorn is hiding. 🦄

True mountain pony type with the prettiest head, balanced conformation, clean limbs and active, free movement across all three paces. She is willing, quick to learn, forward-thinking and loves a job.

Flossy is a lovely little character, who has been so much fun to own. With my youngest daughter on the lead we had a busy and successful lead rein season in 2025 competing in ridden showing, working hunter pony, hunter trials, SJ and even handy pony. She has behaved beautifully in the ring, producing mannerly shows when required, or happily upping the pace for a competitive round when showjumping against the clock!

At home she has introduced my daughter to riding off-lead, trotting round poles and cross poles, obstacle courses and hacking through our fields and down the lane. She’s put up with wobbly moments while perfecting up-downs and first canter strides on the lunge, and has stood patiently whilst being poked and prodded, brushed backwards and for those awkward first attempts at picking out feet. This current season she has had outings off the lead rein, competing in beginner showing classes, WH and exploring local lanes and xc courses.

My eldest daughter (10) has also taken her to arena hires, xc and show jumping where she has been bold, brave and super fun competing up to 50cm, and popping the odd bigger fence at home. Not in the slightest spooky, she has jumped water trays, fillers, coloured poles, xc fences, ditches, steps and splashes happily through water. She has untapped potential in WHP classes for a competitive little jockey (Tiny tots, Cradle Stakes, M&M etc) with her beautiful natural jump.

Whilst mostly showing at local level, Flossy was 3rd in the one LIHS LR Working Sports Pony we entered - in a ring full of top class combinations - so she also is a neat little prospect for STARS, LIHS and the Burghley WSP classes.

She has been introduced to fancy dress, handled regularly by children, loves being groomed and fussed and is very low maintenance. She has been regularly ridden bareback, in a headcollar, vaulted on, surrounded by dogs, sheep, poultry and has the foundations in place to be the perfect child’s pony.

Never sick or sorry, marches out of her stable every day and is very easy to have around. No health issues, fit and well. Good as gold for the farrier, clipping, bathing and up-to-date with dentist, physio and vaccinations. Loads and travels like a dream.

Will come with bridle and her rugs. Black Country worker saddle available by separate negotiation as bought new. Also full Le Mieux Wisteria set available if interested as this is “her colour”!!

We seek a knowledgeable and loving family home who can offer a varied life. I ask that no novices express interest due to her age and stage. She is not fully established as a FYFR as still low mileage and needs clear guidance from her rider, but is a truly lovely little family pony with so much to give.

Phonecalls preferred. Hundreds of photos and videos available of all we’ve done together. Private yard with ménage in Derbyshire for viewings.
