Selehems Lord Cannon

11.2 grey section A gelding- 15 years young.

He has been with us for 4 years and has taught my eldest daughter to come off the lead rein as her home fun pony when our show ponies were professionally produced.

We now run them all ourselves and he is sadly outgrown and on the back burner most of the time which he's far too good for.

He loves to jump- really brave and honest, hack and generally be loved.

He's probably more of a 2nd pony as he's quite big moving rather than a FYFR but he will step up or down depending on the jockey.

Good home is a priority as it is an extremely hard decision to sell him.

Good to hack, box, trim, bath etc and will live in or out- really easy to do.

Price includes Black Country saddle.

including brand new Kent & Masters GP saddle + full wardrobe

Autumn is a beautiful little cob mare with the sweetest nature. She’s kind, affectionate, and genuinely everyone’s friend on the yard. Bought originally for my daughter (who rode her twice before switching to football!), she’s ended up being my pony — and if I were smaller, I wouldn’t be letting her go.

• Lovely temperament – loves fuss, scratches, and settles well in any herd
• Great to handle – polite, forgiving, very trainable – ideal first pony for a child or small adult
• Brilliant in traffic and out hacking – takes most things in her stride
• Tries her heart out in the school – placed 6th in a local Intro dressage league
• Enjoys pole clinics and will happily pop small jumps
• Great feet, barefoot, never had laminitis, easy to keep, up to date with everything
• Comes with full wardrobe including new Kent & Masters GP saddle, rugs, and matching LeMieux set
(Finding a saddle to fit her took 9 months — this one fits beautifully, so ideally it goes with her.)

The honest bit:

• Farrier/clipping:
She used to be very wary of male trimmers/farriers and needed sedation. With positive-reinforcement desensitisation she now picks her feet up happily and is fine for the farrier.
She used to need sedation to be clipped. She can now be clipped without sedation, but her legs are tickly — clipping feathers may need sedation or patience (I’ve done it without, but it was one leg per day!).

• Feed/energy:
She’s had a couple of “turbo canters” with me (not bolts) when she was on much more hard feed and feeling exuberant in an open field. This is rare and she’s always come back immediately.
For balance: she’s cantered side-by-side with a young TB and other horses many times and been her usual steady self. My novice daughter also had a canter on her in an open field after she’d not ridden for months; Autumn was good as gold.

• Management:
She’s on hay and a bit of chaff for supplements. She doesn’t need extra feed. She’s muzzled in spring because she’s such a good doer.

• Schooling:
She loves hacking and in the school, she sometimes plants her feet for a moment when she realises it’s “school time”. This is easily ridden through by any level of rider, and once she’s going she tries her best. One of the videos shows this and how quickly she moves on from it.

• Vetting:
Minor vetting history which I will happily disclose to serious buyers.

Herbie
12.3, 16 years young

We bought Herbie 2 years ago for our 6yr old boy to learn to ride. In that time we have been to pony club activities including camps, hunt rides, hunting (Quorn / Belvoir) and lots of hacking.

He is happy to be on or off the lead rein, but he can be a little cheeky when off. He happily pops a small fence or ditch.

Herbie has a lovely temperament, easy to catch, travels in a lorry or trailer, good in all traffic, not spooky, would never kick and loves a fuss. Very used to small noisy children and dogs.

He has no health issues, and is currently fully clipped, but would happily live out.

Only to the very best of homes.
Location near East Midlands Airport.

She is definitely more steady than forward in the school, will happily just trot over a little fence or jump a bigger one

Brave and willing when hacking out, schools nicely but is a little green in the school off the leadrein

I’ve no doubt she will make a top class show pony in the right hands

For Sal on behalf of a client… Quality All-Round Children’s Pony 'Pingu

A genuine, much loved 10-year-old grey mare standing approx. 12hh, a true all-round children’s pony with an exceptional temperament and a wealth of experience.

Pingu is a kind, confidence-giving mare who is happy both on and off the lead rein and will ride quietly in company or go in front on her own. She has attended Pony Club rallies and activities, where she has always proved sensible, willing and easy for children to manage.

She has been well hunted in the Berkeley country, where she has shown herself to be bold, polite and mannerly with impeccable behaviour. A safe and trustworthy pony who enjoys her work and always tries to please.

Owned by the same family for the past three years, where she has been used for a small child to have fun and gain confidence. Very sadly offered for sale due to complete loss of interest from her rider, through no fault of her own.

Pingu would ideally suit a child wanting to progress from a first pony, or a family looking for a safe, versatile pony for all Pony Club, hunting and general fun. She has a kind nature and is straightforward in every way — good to catch, groom, clip, load, travel, trim and handle.

A very special little mare who is greatly loved and will only be sold to the very best of homes. Owner would like to keep in touch.

Sadly looking for a new home for Tiggy…

Tiggy is a beautiful pony inside and out and loves people and attention!

Tiggy is a brilliant mix of fun but safe. She is not a kick a long- she listens to the leg.

She is well schooled and competed at regional and national level dressage quest in her previous home. She has been in pony club homes her whole life and is brilliant out and about and never phased by new places.

She is fantastic out hacking - Not spooky and sensible in open spaces.

Lead rein- Very polite on the lead rein. She jumps nicely and did all pony club activities successfully on the lead rein in her previous home. Will happily be lead off another horse.

Tiggy is excellent to catch, groom and for the farrier, vet. Never bitten or kicked. No health issues or history of lami.

She lives out 24/7 with us but is also happy in a stable. She does need company in the field either with her or next to her.

A dream childs pony in the making

George is a homebred pony, that has always been well handled & shown in hand as a youngster.

His dam is Bradmore Tinkerbell, grand dam is Deanhills Fairystory, and his sire is the Super Premium Dartmoor stallion Cayberry Final Salute. Registered with the NPS and eligible to be registered part bred Dartmoor. He is a 4 year old gelding, approx 12.2hands.

Lovely put together pony.

George has been broken and is going sweetly & is happy being handled by a tiny child. He is snaffle mouthed and has a lovely nature. He has been shown under saddle in a lead rein class where he behaved impeccably with a tiny jockey. He really isn’t phased by an atmosphere.

Will make a lovely show/dressage pony.

Due to his age & only just having being broken he is not suitable for a novice, but has proven to be a true child’s pony. Is only for sale as we have no jockey.

Lots of pictures & videos available to serious enquiries.

Jack is a stunning young pony, black, 4 white socks. 5yo Gelding.

Jack has been completely produced by a now 10yo girl who has sadly outgrown him.

He has done Dressage and Showjumping competitions as well as Cross Country Schooling, polo cross and mounted games at pony club camp too.

He is totally a childs pony to handle and do, never strong to lead etc.

Jack is still young so no complete novice homes please. He is fab for a child to ride off the leadrein and never strong, he just lacks abit of confidence jumping fillers with a small child but we feel this is just a case of getting out and doing more arena hires, shows etc. Cross country he is fab.

Jack has tonnes of scope and easily pops 70cm at home with his 10yo jockey.

We really feel this pony is going to come into his own over the next few years, we have just run out of time with him!

No vices, good to Hack, for farrier etc.

Rusty is a lovely, kind, gentle 1st pony type. Brave, not spooky, loves people, horses, dogs and knows his job. He's previously done dressage and shown successfully qualifying for and attended STARS.

We have done all pc activities, camp, hacking, lessons, farm rides. He'll have a try at anything with no fuss or bother including working equitation and horse ball. A real yard favourite that all the kids love.

Over the past 2 years Rusty has brought my son on from being a very nervous just off lead rein rider, to being an established, neat little rider, cantering in open fields and jumping small xc jumps confidently. Never spooky, nappy or strong and looks after his rider.

Great to do, a really easy pony to have around.

He has mild arthritis in right hock and I will disclose x-rays and vet history to serious enquiries. This has never been a problem and has never prevented us from being able to do anything. Managed with 1/2 danilon a day. He's never going to be a big jumping pony, his forte is being an excellent first pony to get little riders established and have fun. Could also be great for a dressage/ showing home.

Very sad sale of much loved pony.
All tack and rugs included.
No loans.

  • Doesn’t matter the age as long as safe

We are looking for a first ridden to join our family for the long term and join our 3 other geldings. Preferably a gelding but if the perfect mare came along would definitely consider it.

My son who is 6 is just coming off the lead rope and loves riding as well as looking after a pony. He doesn’t need speed yet (thankfully) more laid back but not dead to the leg. The relationship on the ground is so important to him too as he spends his spare time on the ground with the ponies. So a pony that likes to be pampered and is polite.

He will do starter pony camp this year, he has a fantastic teacher who comes to our home.

Ideally no lami or sweet itch

Doesn’t matter the age as long as safe, will give confidence to my son to continue his riding journey and loves to be loved.

Price negotiable depending on right pony and very happy to travel

'Lightning' The MOST Gorgeous Best Friend anyone could wish for. He is the easiest, sweetest boy to handle. We call him our pet dog, as he would follow us around all day for cuddles if he could.

He is beautiful on the flat and very responsive. He behaves at arena hire, cross country, pony club rallies, fun rides and competitions, the same as he does at home. Perfect in open spaces and not strong. Been through water & loves a day out.

Before us he was in Ireland, and loved to go out hunting too.

We ride him in a snaffle, but when a tiny rider pops on him we put him on the second ring on a gag & this gives them plenty of brakes. Nothing more is needed, he’s that perfect. He really wants to please & never does anything naughty.

When at the gallops he’ll fly up the track with the rider trying to win, or stay 1/2 a mile back with a nervous rider just wanting to trot. He really is a dream.

Saying all this, he isn’t a complete first pony, as he loves jumping & becomes much more forward when you pop the jumps up past 50cm. He will happily trot around a course of cross poles though. If the rider can hold their reins, walk & trot, then he’ll teach you everything else nice & calmly.

He’s been to lots of stay away shows this year & loved it. Most recently Spooktacular at Arena UK, jumping double clears every day in the 40&50cm.

We’ve competed him successfully up to 65cm. Arena Hire up to 80cm, individual jumps up to 95cm. Scope for more. In Ireland he competed in 18 classes, 70&80cm and won 17 of them!! Had 1 pole in the other. With an experienced jockey he would be a complete rosette machine! Top jumping pony with the right kid.

Very fast against the clock, incredible turns. Could also be a fantastic games pony with training.

He is ridden successfully by a small 6 year old girl. As his 9 year old rider is the size of a 12-13 year old, so just too big for another season

He’s never been schooled by adults. Any size kid/ or age can jump on. He’s good to go and super sensible & safe.

He does not kick, rear, buck or anything else of this description. No vices, or issues.

Turns out with mares & geldings.

Handled by kids daily, including my 4 year old, who turns him out & brings him in. The kids often ride him back & forth to the field in a head collar, sat on his rug.

Up to date with farrier, injections, chiropractor, dentist and wormers.
