  • Top Class Lead Rein Show Pony with the most amazing temperament
  • A true Lead rein type

We bought Mara Mouse as an unbroken 3 yr old following her early years success in in-hand showing. Her delightful temperament enabled easy breaking.

My daughter enjoyed 2 successful years in the lead rein class with the Emmerson show team, with numerous notable results a few are listed below.

When Posy was out of the class, and letting our heart rule our heads we were not ready to part with this sweet little mare – she has enjoyed the past 3 years looking after tiny jockeys and continuing her success through limited show outings

Mara Mouse is very easy to do and when we have our ponies’ at home in the winter Posy cares for her little pony herself – and Mouse loves nothing more than cuddles and kisses and little people fussing over her. She is a fabulous and easy pony to love and Posy was privileged, as were we to enjoy a mutual affection and to be entrusted with taking her into her ridden career.

Sadly, it is now time for Samara to find an equally loving home with another child who will take her forward into what we believe are her best years to come.

Samara has been an absolute pleasure of a pony to own. She goes on the very end of the lead rein with ease and will be equally at home in a home produced or produced yard. She is a perfect lead rein pony who will carry a small child with ease and will not snatch the reins.

Only phone calls will be responded to.

After two very happy years, the difficult time has come to find Coco a new home, as our daughter has sadly outgrown him.

Coco is a much-loved lead-rein and assisted first pony who is ideal for a young child beginning their riding journey. He is kind, affectionate and incredibly easy for children to handle. Our 7 y/o can catch, groom, tack up, load and lead him herself, and all of her friends have enjoyed riding him.

He is perfect for teaching a tiny tot the basics, including rising trot, steering and gaining confidence around ponies. He is happy to pop cross-poles, hack, loves a PC rally, dressage and all other Pony Club activities. He won the overall points prize at our PC show this year in dressage, PC pony, SJ and WHP. He attended PC camp this year and was a star, has been to the beach, clinics, etc etc. Hundreds of videos available on request.

Our daughter has ridden him independently off the lead rein, but he goes best with someone on the ground. He can occasionally head towards the nearest person for a cuddle, which can be tricky for a very inexperienced child to correct independently. Nothing nasty, just a cheeky welsh and importantly, it's not sharp. For us, he has been the perfect balance between easy to ride and cheeky enough to teach my daughter how to ride properly, she isn't just a passenger but can ride and steer thanks to Coco. He gave her the confidence she has now. For an experienced home this is not a problem, but for this reason, we feel he is best suited to a lead-rein or assisted home, rather than as a completely independent first pony. He will follow his leader like a lamb, see videos.

Coco is barefoot and lives out all year with other geldings, doesn't mind being stabled either. He is straightforward to manage and loves attention and being included in family life, always the first to the gate.

He has been a wonderful pony for our daughter and has given her two years of fun, confidence and happy memories. He is only available because she has outgrown him and has moved onto a bigger pony. Finding the right home is extremely important to us and homes will be vetted.

He will only go to a loving, knowledgeable home where he will be treasured and has a new best friend. We would love his new family to keep us, and his previous owner, updated on his future adventures.

Full wardrobe including a fitted saddle and 2 rugs by separate negotiation.

Located 20 mins from Edinburgh airport and Waverly Station.

🐴 NEWOAK CHERRY – 17YO REGISTERED DARTMOOR MARE 🐴

Fabulous Lead Rein Pony – Been There, Done It & Got the T-Shirt!

Cherry is a lovely 12hh 17-year-old registered Dartmoor Bay mare who has previously competed at top level and is now looking for a quieter, more relaxed pace of life.

She would be ideal for a family wanting a wonderful pony to enjoy Pony Club activities, lead rein fun and general family life, or simply a much-loved pony to have at home.

Cherry is happy to stand tied up while the children fuss, groom and play with her for hours – a real family pony who has plenty of experience under her belt.

This is a very sad sale. Her current owner originally bought her for breeding, but unfortunately that was not to be, so the right loving home is now the priority.

Sadly my daughter has grown quicker than Fay and is just to big. She is now looking for a new little person to play with.

🐴 12hh Welsh Section A Gelding – 6yo 🐴

Sad sale of a much-loved family pony 💙

12hh Welsh Section A gelding, 6 years old, who has been owned and loved by us since he was a yearling.

He is a lovely, kind pony who is unfortunately becoming wasted with us and deserves a home where he can be enjoyed and given more of a purpose.

✨ Lead rein prospect

✨ Lovely, floaty paces

✨ Good to hack

✨ Lives in or out

✨ Up to date with teeth & vaccinations

✨ Good with the farrier, although he does need holding as can be a little fidgety

He is still green in the school and has mainly been enjoyed as a hacking pony. He can be a little sharp for the first few minutes with a rider, but settles quickly once he gets going.

With the right home, we feel he could make a lovely lead rein or show pony and has plenty of potential to progress.

Sire: Shawgreen Crackerjack

Dam: Caereini Hufen

A genuinely adored family pony, so finding the right home is extremely important. 🩵

Beautiful 12.2hh Liver Chestnut Mare – 5 Years Old

A lovely 5-year-old, 12.2hh liver chestnut mare looking for her next little rider to enjoy and love.

She is a quiet, laid-back pony who is very quick to learn and takes everything in her stride. She has a genuine willing attitude and really wants to please, making her a pleasure to work with.

She is handled daily by children and has been ridden solely by a 9-year-old, proving herself to be kind, sensible, and reliable. She hacks both alone and in company, and is great in open spaces with no fizz — my daughter regularly hacks her out on her own with confidence.

She loads and travels well and has been out to a couple of shows where she has behaved foot perfect every time. She has also attended BD training camp, where she settled in straight away and behaved impeccably throughout.

She has no vices, is easy to bath and plait, and will happily pop a fence, although this is not something we have pushed as my daughter’s interest is not in jumping.

She is happy to turn out alone or in a mixed herd and is equally content to live in or out.

Fully vaccinated and wormed. Up to date with farrier and physio.

Tack included.

This is a very sad sale, only due to my daughter prematurely moving on to a bigger pony. Hopelessly outgrown.

A genuine, much-loved pony looking for the perfect next home.

Lovely little lead rein pony, she has done showing, dressage, jumping and pony club including mini camp. Has been ridden off the lead rein by bigger children and is a super 2nd pony, ideal for a confident child to go out and have fun on.

Over a fence she is very sweet and does a small jump so as not to unseat her little jockey.

Mounted games she is very good and actually really quick, I could imagine she would be a fab games pony for an older child.

She is sensible and tolerant with fancy dress costumes.

Happy with her little rider doing round the worlds, climbing up and down, backwards riding etc.

we have not tapped into her full potential showing, she has lovely movement and excellent confirmation. She is registered Welsh pony and has great bloodlines, definitely has potential to go far in the show ring.

Very easy to keep, lives in or out, barefoot and good with farrier. Good to catch, bath and load.

Beautiful standard Shetland coloured mare.

She has all the attributes to make a really special pony.

Ridden; she has been broken on the lead rein proving very sane and loves doing a job. Although young and green she’s been brilliant around kid's and is keen to get on and learn. She could try her hand at any job pony club, showing, racing, lr and in time and with off lead schooling first ridden.

She’s attended her first show with my 2 year old daughter where she looked after her like a pony way beyond her years and experience. She did everything asked and more.

We have attended hound exercise with her she stood at meet, saw hounds and met usual farm type traffic all taken in her stride. We could not quite keep up with the pace but she walked happily at the back and when we couldn’t see anyone we leisurely picked blackberries and practiced rising trot.

We have also long reined her in full driving harness, I am sure she could make a wonderful driving pony once she is fully broken.

She is good to catch, trim, groom, wash, farrier load and respects electric fencing. Currently turned out in mixed heard with no issues.

I have been continuing her work over the summer holidays. And she has been put in a variety of situations with different aged children proving herself to be a future super star.

Only available as I would love to see her in a home where she is being used and loved to her full potential.

Open to view/vet etc

Lesmore Super Ted

Sadly the time has come to find Teddy his new address.

132.5cm, born 2015, chestnut gelding - bred by Beryl Bruce, by Brookwater Indigo Bunting and out of Eddiston little springtime.

Ted had been living at home with his breeder until we purchased him at the start of the year to join our 2026 show season. He has had a super first season and we are now looking for someone who can continue his education; he has been freeschooled, lunged and had tack on but isn’t broken.

He loads and travels and has stabled away from home. Gets along with everyone, turns out with mares or geldings. Up to date with vaccines etc, easy to do in the stable. Used to dogs, tractors and gun shots.

He is straight, correct and always shows with his his ears pricked up looking through the bridle 🤩

He qualified at the NPS spring show for Scone as a Hunter Pony and at Echt agricultural as a Riding Pony. He also qualified for Malvern as a part bred at the Royal Highland. He was Reserve overall inhand champion on his first ever outing and his first time indoors, He was overall champion Riding Pony at Echt to name a few! NPS passported and Overstamped part bred Welsh!

I adore this pony but we don’t have a rider for him and we have too many ponies. He is only available to the right home where he can slowly be brought on over the winter. Otherwise he will stay with us! He will be someone’s best friend - he loves a human, comes to call; neighs every time he sees you!

If your looking for safety then look no further -

Fantastic lead rein pony who is push button and voice controlled - taught lots of children to ride having done a few years in the riding school. More recently been out and about competing , fun rides and hacking - he’s been mainly a lead rein pony but is also very quiet off the lead rein and will lead or follow out hacking.

He has no vices , ailments or issues and is very low maintenance- never had any health issues and stays in or out with a friend or without . He loads well , good to bath , clip and catch . A perfect starter pony .

Would also make a cracking M&M / cradle stakes pony with a more experienced child . Well put together and moves very well . Lots of pics and vids available on WhatsApp. Please read the full advert and only contact if you’re in a position to buy .

He is a true gentleman. For sale as very sadly out grown. A great kid's pony. Good to catch, clip, shoe, teeth, travel, hack out, groom, wash.

Mixes with other horses inside or outside.

Good on lead, or off lead. He will walk beside you if you need to walk with your child. You can also lead another pony from him.

He doesn't mind dogs & been used to heard sheep.

Thistledown Whisper

13 year old mare

We have owned Whisper for 18 months and in that time she has been the most amazing pony for my son.

She is a fantastic 1st year first ridden, bought her to take James off the rein. She has done young handler, jumping, clinics, Hacking over the gowe common alongside the driving pony and Also goes well on lead rein. In her previous home she has also been on beach rides.

She has been worth her weight in gold to us as a family as she has bought my nervous son off of the lead to now popping small jumps and riding in open spaces. She now needs to go on and teach her next little jockey.

Please phone for more information, photos and videos.

I can not stress how genuine this pony is. She has plenty of references; her previous 2 homes and different society's that have seen this pony at shows.

Please do not be put off from her location. We are easy to get to - 20 minutes from the M4 I'm sure the first to view will buy.

11yr old black Welsh Section A, Gelding, 11.2hh

Bobby is an absolute superstar tiny tots Lead Rein pony. He will carry the smallest of jockeys safely around the biggest of atmosphere's. Doesn't mind a little one wobbling around on his back.

Qualifies for M&M LR NPS Scotland finals every year, (also qualified as a FR in 2025)

Was also 3rd out of 50 in the M&M LR final at stars 2024.

Bobby was bought to introduce our family into showing county level - too many wins and championships to mention - and he has done just that. Taking both my daughters from when they were 3yrs old and teaching them up downs. He has been ridden off the lead in First Ridden but needs longer legs to keep him going.

Bobby loves a varied life and we have successfully competed him in SJ, XC, WH and hunting. Will happily lead from another horse.

All Vaccs, worming, farrier up to date, Happily travels in a lorry or a trailer.

This is a very sad sale of a much loved pony, but my daughter has moved on to a Show Pony and we would love for him to go and do the same for another family that he has done for us.

Please no time wasters.

Beautifully Bred 6-Year-Old Mare

A beautifully bred 6-year-old mare whose dam is an RWAS Winter Fair Winner, sharing the same breeding lines as Glebedale Austin Powers, with both Glebedale and Thisledown bloodlines.

She is a straight-moving mare who has mainly been used as a lead rein pony for my nervous daughter. We've also successfully shown her locally both in-hand as an M & M LR and plaited as an SHP, with my daughter also doing Young Handler classes. She is straight moving and has no lumps or bumps. Always comes home with a rosette and is a pleasure to take to shows, happily standing on the trailer all day on her own.

She is a kind, mannerly pony who is easy to catch, shoe, and handle. She is equally happy living in or out, and children can groom and fuss her with ease. She is sensible enough for little tots to ride and has a lovely temperament. Has also attended Pony Club.

Last summer she spent some time at a riding school to further her education, she happily jumped courses up to 70cm and quickly became a firm favourite. She is currently being ridden by a small adult to keep her ticking over, as my daughter has sadly lost interest and outgrown her.

A genuine, versatile mare with excellent breeding, a lovely kind temperament, and a great future ahead. She would benefit from a home who can continue her education as she would make a PC pony or continue in the show ring (she has HOYS potential) as either a SHP or M & M. Equally with such great breeding would be an asset as a broodmare.

7 very happy years with Lilly. Now very sadly outgrown, she needs another little person to ride her , compete her , spoil her and give her lots of attention. My daughter started on the lead rein on her, was cantering and jumping her first cross pole by the time she was 2.5 years old, by 4 she was off the lead rein and learning how to get about by herself on Lilly. They’ve done showjumping, mounted games, horse agility, showing, fun rides, hacking ( Lilly is perfect in traffic ) and beach ride. She’ll stand all day to be bathed , brushed , clipped etc.

Lilly loves going to shows. My daughter has over 70 rosettes and trophies that she has collected with her! She’s very easy, kept at home here , turned out with mares and a gelding.

Only available to the best of homes, she’s given us so much and fully deserves the best of everything. 16 years. Up to date with teeth and vac. She’s a superstar. Serious enquires only please, as this isn’t easy. Newent, Gloucestershire. Many videos available.

Super Suzie as we call her, is just that, an absolute Super Star. If it wasn’t for Suzie I think we might have given up.

Suzie is a competition pony, however she is versatile & can be many different ponies for you. With a rider who knows what they are doing, she can feel this & she’s buzzy & ready to go. But when we’ve popped my 4 year old son on, she’s a donkey. Including taking him around the full 7 miles at Somerford, totally off lead by himself. How many ponies can you trust with a 4 year old in a sand school, let alone in open spaces? Then how many competition ponies will do this? She’s really incredible & we can’t speak more highly of her.

Suzie is a proper school master & has done a bit of everything:

* SJI & BS Show Jumping

* Pony Club

* Private and group lessons

* Fun rides

* Cross-country

* Games (but only the kids playing in the school)

Suzie was brought from Ireland for my son’s 7th birthday, she was his 2nd pony (1st pony was so spooky, he would fall off all the time, he had never cantered off lead until Suzie). He wasn’t really ready for a competition pony, yet she trained him up fast. She made him feel safe, which he had never felt when riding until this point.

Suzie has a very decorated jumping record in Ireland with a lot of wins up to 1m. We have competed her up to 85cm, single fences at home of 1.10.

Her only ‘fault’ is she is marish. She has never actually kicked another pony when in season, but she would. We’ve tried her on regumate & it works, but makes her too steady for us. By her being like this, she is extremely confident in herself, which actually makes her a parents dream & I look for this trait in all other ponies now. By her being so confident in herself. She doesn’t need other ponies around. So can be in the field by herself, in the stable, at shows, hacking etc. It also means she’s not spooky or scared of anything. Which means bathing, clipping, new fillers to jump etc. No problem for Super Suzie. My kids can do everything with her too.

She can turn out with others, but we turn her out individually & I think she prefers it. I’m always 100% honest about our ponies, as I only want them to go to the right homes. If anything I usually make any faults sound worse than they are, as atleast then it reduces the risk of selling to the wrong home.

She has never bucked, reared or napped. No vices or medical issues. No medication.

We are only selling Suzie as my son has totally out grown her. He’s only 9, but the size of a 14 year old, so we’ve had to move him onto bigger ponies. My other son has just turned 5 & has a smaller pony which the size is more suitable for him for at least another year or so. However much I’d love to keep her, I need the funds.

She is:

✔ Up to date with vaccinations

✔ Up to date with the dentist

✔ Up to date with chiropractor

✔ Farrier every 6 weeks

✔ Loads and travels beautifully in both a trailer and horsebox

✔ Happy to stand on the lorry all day

Our ideal home would be for Suzie to do exactly what she’s done for us, but for another boy or girl. As we are so appreciative to Suzie & I’d love her to go somewhere else where they feel the same. She’s a Queen & needs to be treated like one. So it goes without saying, only the very best home will be considered.

Please, genuine enquiries only. We don’t have time for multiple casual viewings or “pony shopping” days out, and we don’t think it’s fair on Suzie to have lots of children trying her. We ask that you only arrange a viewing if you genuinely feel she could be the right pony for you.

More photos & videos on request. I have hundreds. Videos from my son first sitting on her, dropping his reins at every jump, making it as hard as possible for Suzie 😂, to now, where they are a pretty cool team. Plus many with his 4/5 year old brother riding her too. Including at POP/ Aintree mid-August where my 5 year old competed her completely off lead rein by himself in the cross poles, then later my 9 year old took her around the Stepping Stones. She was completely two different ponies for them.

  • Confidence giving star pony

Heartbreaking sale as hopelessly outgrown.

Looking for a new 5* home- she deserves the best. We ve owned her for 5 years and we would like to stay in touch if possible. Molly is a yard favourite, she’s taken numerous little ones off lead rein and into riding independently, brilliant confidence giver and absolutely loves children.

She does have some (minor) medical history (doesn’t affect riding, just requires maintenance) happy for any vetting & full details given on enquiry. Knowledgable parents are a must….She won’t be going to a novice home, people with their own land and multiple younger siblings will be given priority over price.

Molly loves to jump and will happily step up and go round a course of 70 with a light rider. Alternatively she ll pop over raised poles in trot to look after a little one at Pony club. Fantastic to hack alone or in company, not phased by traffic/heavy machinery.

Needs as much turnout as possible, though does like to come in with the worst of the weather overnight. Good to load, clip, farrier. Needs patience for the dentist but can be done without sedation.

Price negotiable to the right home. She will come with fitted tack (anatomical bridle & Kent & Masters GP saddle) and full wardrobe. Up to date with farrier, dentist, Chiro, physio, vaccinations etc.
