Tommy is a true to type traditional gypsy cob with great conformation, certainly a future HOYS junior coloured contender. He has an abundance of quality, straight and silky hair. He is substantial and easily carries a lightweight adult.

Tommy has had a fantastic start to his education, spending last year as a four year old out hacking and exploring the world, then this spring he began his schooling in preparation for showing

Tommy loves to hack, either by himself or in company. He is happy to go first or last, and is sensible on the road in traffic, trotting up grass verges and in open fields.

Tommy loves children and has enjoyed jumping small fences in the school. He has been lightly but successfully shown this summer by four and five year old lead rein jockeys, and a ten year old first ridden jockey in walk and trot classes.

He has also been to his first stay away show, been in an evening performance and competed in the concurs class wearing a dress!

Tommy is a real yard favourite and turns heads wherever he goes. He is very easy to do, including blow drying his legs with a blaster.

With further education over winter, this pony is certain to do well in RIHS open qualifiers and the HOYS junior ranks. He is an all-round fun pony and would also enjoy pony club events.

He is CHAPS registered, vaccinated, has regular farrier appointments (unshod) and has a JMB (120cm) so he can compete affiliated in lead rein, first ridden, junior and open showing classes.

Gadlys Serena is a beautiful 7-year-old, 11.2hh Welsh Section A mare with bags of personality and all the cheeky character you’d expect from a Welshie.

Serena absolutely loves getting out and about and hacking is definitely her happy place. She is confident and forward out hacking, happily going in front or behind, and is confident enough to hack away from other horses. She has previously enjoyed shows and fun rides and would really thrive in an active home where she can have plenty of variety and adventures.

In the school she is quite different and is much more kick-along than forward! She needs a positive little rider with enough leg to keep her working and can get bored simply going round in circles. She is much happier when she has something interesting to do.

Serena is happy to be ridden on the lead rein with a knowledgeable and confident handler, or would suit a confident child looking for a second pony. She is not a true first-ridden type and wouldn’t suit a very nervous or complete novice child riding independently.

She is a typical mare and a proper cheeky little Welsh character who knows her own mind. She responds best to confident, consistent handling and we feel she would be happiest with a slightly older (age 5+) or more experienced child and family who understand ponies, rather than very young children wanting to climb all over her.

She is a lovely little pony with lots to offer and, in the right home with a confident little jockey, we think she would have great fun doing Pony Club, hacking, fun rides and generally getting out and about. Serena will jump a small course but jumping isn’t her strong point.

She is good to groom and enjoys a fuss, and is fine with a slow running hose, although she isn’t particularly keen on sprays.

This is a very sad sale and finding the right home is extremely important to us. Teddy is our much loved 11hh, 14yo Dartmoor type gelding and the ultimate little gentleman. This is a very sad sale of a pony who has given our family so much joy.

He is a genuine lead rein and first ridden pony and definitely more woah than go. He has looked after his little rider beautifully and is a wonderful confidence giver.

Teddy has been exceptional at children's meets. He stands sensibly at the meet, happily goes along amongst the crowd and is equally content to stay quietly at the back on his own. He doesn't get wound up by the excitement and has been a wonderful pony for a child to enjoy hunting on.

He has been to three Pony Club camps and taken part in lots of Pony Club rallies, mounted games, fancy dress and general family fun.

On the ground he is an absolute gent. Perfect to load and with the farrier, stands patiently to be groomed and fussed over by children and loves cuddles and affection. He really is the sort of pony children can enjoy doing everything with, not just riding.

He is a hardy native of Dartmoor type (not a registered dartmoor pony) who lives on fresh air and we are not aware of any previous health problems. Comes with saddle and bridle.

12.1hh but really takes up the leg - previous owner who rode her at RIHS is 5 foot 7 and was not too big for her!

We bought Dolly for my twin 10 year olds, just over a year ago, primarily as my daughter, who rides with the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) desperately wanted her own pony. Her twin had never sat on a pony before. Dolly has taught them both to ride, including winning numerous classes over the summer, qualifying for the sunshine tour in first ridden, lead rein and in hand classes. My children do everything independently with Dolly – bringing in and turning out, grooming, bathing, tacking up, loading, feeding. She is a true child’s pony, I know that they are absolutely safe around her, no matter what they are doing. Dolly will stand for hours and hours to be pampered, groomed, bathed, plaited and cuddled.

Dolly is fantastic to hack. She hacks in gale force winds, rain or shine, alone and in company but mainly alone as we are on a competition yard with adults – with one of my girls riding, then they swap half way! She hacks on open countryside and has experienced out of control dogs running at her, barking and jumping at her and owners chasing them and stands still and calm. We have taken her up to the South Downs accidently at the same time as a cross country race and again she was completely non plussed by multiple high vis runners on narrow paths racing past her. She’s had mountain bikes zoom past, from behind her, and again not spooked or got upset. She has an exceptional temperament that is incredibly hard to find. We have taken Dolly up on the South downs, through woodlands, to the beach, to shows – both indoor and on grass and she has been brilliant. This is all with my novice daughters who had only ridden with RDA and the other never before Dolly. Dolly has been led from me in my power chair with our two dogs running alongside. My daughter hacked Dolly from the yard to the beach with a group of adults. She had to lead the group across the railway crossing as the horses were being silly. She stood on the beach whilst they had a good gallop, away from her and back towards and then they hacked home together.

After only a few months of riding, Dolly has taken both my girls to lots of shows – their first ever show she won her classes with both children! She is very easy at shows, happy to stand and eat a haynet, for the kids to walk her round, share an ice cream, be sat on bareback and played with. She needs zero working in. My daughter who had never ridden before getting Dolly is now confidently riding in first ridden and pony club classes and Dolly has competed in lead rein, in hand, junior handler, dressage, handy pony (where she was 2nd out of well over 20 entries), never coming away without a ribbon! She won her in hand coloured class at her last show. Dolly qualified for RIHS 2025 in the open coloured ridden class and would be a really top class junior ridden.

My girls mainly enjoy hacking, doing obstacle courses in the sand school, having lessons, lunging her, doing shows, trotting over cross poles, pole clinics and just generally playing with her. They do not canter and have no desire, they are both novice / nervous and have never wanted to progress to anything faster than a trot. Dolly is very well schooled and with her previous owner competed regularly in dressage and affiliated showing, qualifying for RIHS on her first attempt. Dolly would be a top junior ridden and would excel at both dressage and showing or equally as a cherished first pony, teaching tiny tots to ride or would be an exceptional RDA pony. I do not think jumping will be her forte – she will trot over very small cross poles but we have done nothing more. My ideal home is one where she is adored and pampered like she is here.

Dolly is well used to dogs and has met cattle, sheep and lots of livestock out hacking on the downs. She is not phased by tractors, bikes, motorbikes, cars and so on.

Dolly is excellent to catch, shoe, clip, bath, load. We have a single trailer but she has also travelled in company in both a lorry and trailer – she is loaded and unloaded by my children. You can do everything with Dolly without her tied up – I can clip her face etc with no headcollar. She is very easy on the ground, has no vices and is not mareish or difficult to manage when in season. She turns out alone or in company, is respectful of fencing, has been in by day and out by night over the summer and is out by day, in by night in winter. She stables alone if needed as is very content with a haynet! She is barefoot with good feet. Dolly is up to date with her vaccinations and passed a 5 stage vetting last year (2025). She has never been unsound, unwell or needed the vet, except for her vaccinations.

Any viewings, inspections and vetting fully welcomed – I have 1000s of photos and videos to show all the things they do together.

Please note, Dolly is very heavily feathered and as such these need maintence and care specific to traditionals- will talk this all through honestly with all buyers.

Ponies like Dolly are very few and far between and references can be obtained from both previous owners.

An absolute saint and a mother’s dream pony, Rio is the ultimate confidence-giver and has looked after our daughters every step of the way.

He is equally happy taking the smallest of children who are just learning to canter, through to a child wanting to jump courses around 80cm. He has plenty of jump, but is never silly or spooky at a fence and always gives his rider confidence. Rio will happily canter when asked, but is also more than happy to trot around a course for a nervous or less experienced rider and also take them around their first course in a steady canter.

He would be a great BS starter pony too.

Rio has a green passport so can do native classes but would equally make a lovely plaited show pony and would be a real contender in the London International Nursery stakes, first ridden and junior performance pony class qualifiers.

He is an absolute dream to hack and is sensible and trustworthy. He is also happy for you to ride and lead from him or vice versa.

Rio has done everything we could have asked of him. He has taken our daughters from learning to canter and jump, through to jumping bigger courses and competing successfully. They have now progressed onto JA jumping ponies, so it is time for Rio to find his next little rider to love and enjoy him.

Our trainer cannot speak highly enough of him, and Rio has given our daughters an incredible amount of confidence. He has qualified for the NSEA Regionals, Cricklands, and the Sunshine Tour at Hickstead.

He truly is a one-in-a-million pony and has kept our daughters safe throughout their time with him. He has never bucked, reared or napped and has always been incredibly genuine and trustworthy.

TANDY – 13.2hh | 15yo | Mare | Connemara

Tandy is a lovely pony who has been there and done it all. She has spent the last few years in a racing environment and is completely accustomed to large volumes of horses, gallops and a busy atmosphere.

She has done show jumping, cross-country, Pony Club and racing. She hasn’t been a serious competition pony beyond local shows and Pony Club, but with some schooling I think she could make a lovely low-level jumping pony, absolutely loves jumping and rarely touches a pole!

Tandy has also been used as a lead-rein pony and isn’t offended by novice riders. She is forward-going without being out of control and absolutely loves having a varied life. She is currently ridden in a gag and would suit a child who wants to get on and go, rather than one looking for a dressage diva!

She can happily be ridden bareback, hacks alone or in company and is:

• Good to box

• Good to clip

• Good to load

• Good to shoe

• Currently barefoot, but wore shoes while racing last year

• Up to date with vaccinations and teeth

• Happy living in or out

Tandy does wear a chifney rather than a headcollar when being handled, as she can occasionally forget her manners. This has been the case for many years and is simply something she is accustomed to.

She does have melanomas underneath her tail, which have remained unchanged for several years. Pictures are available and full disclosure will be given to any interested buyer.

Tandy has been known to have the odd buck if she hasn’t been in much work. Her owner estimates this happens perhaps once in every 50 rides, so it is very much an occasional occurrence rather than a regular habit. For this reason, she would be best suited to a family who understands and is comfortable with this, and who will keep her in a consistent level of work to get the best out of her.

Timmy is a super lead-rein/first-ridden pony and a perfect little family pony.

At 10.3hh, he’s an ideal size — small enough for little legs without being so tiny that they quickly outgrow him.

We’ve had lots of fun with him on the lead rein, at local shows and showjumping. He was used as a first ridden in his previous home and has been brilliant for my son learning to steer and become more independent.

He has a great little jump — we’ve only jumped around 30cm on the lead rein, but he definitely has scope for more. He does not mind an unbalanced rider over a fence at all. He's really safe!

Timmy is also broken to drive and loves it — great fun whizzing along in the cart!

He also knows a few tricks, including bowing.

He is super safe for children to lead and handle, doesn’t bite or kick, is great with other horses, easy to catch, an angel to clip and very good for the farrier. Barefoot never needed shoes as he's a tough sort.

Fully vaccinated and wormed. No lumps, bumps or sarcoids.

York has been with us over two years and has proven to be super safe on lead rein. He's bombproof out hacking and used to large road and farm vehicles.. Safe cantering in open spaces , travels, loads, rides, turns out and stables well in company or alone .. happy to leave his herd . super easy to handle on the ground by children.. my daughter has done it all herself from age 4 until now .

has participated in dressage, pony club, xc training , showjumping, hacking and beach rides .. leads from another horse or a bike but i've never really had to as he's super safe off lead out hacking ..

takes confidence from his rider in school off lead but nothing untoward .. just gravitated towards a handler but with consistent riding i'm sure he would be an ideal FyFR.. loves to jump (60cm

Little Arthur has been part of our family in many capacities , for a child who has additional needs and has enjoyed cuddling and grooming him.

He’s been a great lead rein and been 2nd at some county shows where he behaved impeccably. He’s also given confidence to a little boy who didn’t want to even get on another pony and now he’s happily cantering up the fields at his own pace whilst others fly by . He’s easy to do in all ways -never a bit of trouble .

He’s the kindest pony I’ve ever met and will bring the next family lots of happiness .
