Heart-breaking sale of our daughter’s Once in a Lifetime Pony due to him being hopelessly outgrown.

Don is a 9 year old outstanding 14.1cm Class 1 Connemara Gelding, who we have owned since he was 6 years old. Sadly his rider has grown 9 inches since we bought him and we now need to find him a new home to enjoy and adore him as much as she has.

Don has been placed Top 3 in every Eventing competition they attended including coming 2nd in the the Pony Club Eventing Regional Championships final at Kelsall in 2025. He excels in Arena Eventing, again always in the placings and he has competed with lots of success in the Cotswold Cup, Show jumping competitions and Pony Club Area competitions, and attended many pony club rallies and riding camps.

He is a forward thinking competition pony, a responsive ride who absolutely loves his job and gives 100% to everything asked of him. In the time we have had him he has never once stopped at a fence; he gives his rider a great feel.

He loves XC, covering the ground and tackling any obstacle put in front of him, he always makes the time and gives a bold and confident ride. Don will jump any fence, any filler and off any stride SJ, and will produce a good dressage test; he would easily and successfully affiliate either BSJA or BE and has plenty of scope.

However similarly he would happily take things steadier at Pony Club, camps, fun rides and unaffiliated events. Don is happy when he is out and about, but he doesn't mind if he is hacking, going on fun rides, jumping 60cm or tackling beefy XC fences - he gives the same effort and enjoyment!

Don absolutely loves hacking and seeing new routes and will happily hack for hours alone or in company, he is a forward going hack great in all traffic and farm machinery. They also tried hunting last winter and he was mannerly, safe with the hounds and happy to stand politely with the field and go in front or behind.

Although he is very genuine and honest, and does step down to his rider’s abilities, he is not a novice ride, but perfect for somebody coming off a smaller pony, or a small adult. He rides bitless and tackless, he enjoys liberty work as he loves to build a close bond with his rider with his gentle character.

He is great to load (on trailers and lorries) and will stand in the lorry quietly on show day. He turns out in a herd, mixed or split, does not get herd bound, and is content left alone in the field while others are ridden out. We do use an oral sedative to clip him but he is great to shoe (front and back).

Don is up to date with vaccinations, worming and teeth and open to full vetting etc. He is fit and ready to go and we would love to see him enjoying the winter season with his new rider.

Home is an absolute priority for us and and we are looking for the perfect loving home who will give him a varied life and enjoy taking the time building a relationship with him, keep in touch with us and previous owners (he has a fan club!) and share his future successes.

I brought Boris 2 years ago as a project, however he very quickly stole my heart and I’ve been putting this decision off for a very long time, but the time has come for him to find a new family who will adore him just as much as I do.

Boris has 3 balanced paces, he’s light in the hand, eager to please and a very straightforward enjoyable ride, he is snaffled mouthed at all times and is never strong or silly.

He adjusts well to his rider and can plod around in the slow lane or equally can rank it up for a more forward ride. He is beginning his lateral movements and changes and is proven to be a very quick learner. Boris has an exceptional groundwork education, understands voice commands and will “emergency stop” if asked to. Boris is the sort you can leave for weeks, hop straight on & enjoy- even sensible enough to have happily given small children rides.

Boris hacks alone and in company, he doesn’t fizz up in open spaces and isn’t bothered to be left behind or separated from another horse. He has plenty of experience around heavy machinery and traffic.

Boris loads and travels like a dream, he has seen a lot of the world and isn’t phased by busy warmups or new venues. He will happily stand all day by the lorry and is always such a pleasure to take out.

This year Boris has participated in pretty much every discipline, he is loved by judges and always gets lots of attention when out and about. He absolutely loves his jumping and happily pops round 90cm courses, he will always take a miss and jump from any stride. A genuine, willing horse who always wants to please, he produces a lovely dressage test and consistently scores well. Boris has been there and done it all: showjumping, XC schooling, dressage, showing, hunting, beach rides & many clinics. He is a genuine all- round prospect with the talent, scope and attitude to progress to a high level in any chosen discipline.

Lambo has been with us for 4 years and seen both children through their competition days. Oakwood Mayhem aka Mayhem is a homebred stunning mare. She can excel in any sphere; pony eventing, showing at the highest level, elite dressage.

This mare is an exceptional mover. She has a real look about her and has real presence.

She is home bred out of a Welton Crackerjack mare that went to the Pony Club Eventing Championships with several different junior riders by the stunning stallion, Heritage Arrakis. Heritage Arrakis is a PBA stallion (Heritage Orion x Carnaval Drum) that is still the only horse to have won the Futurity Elite Award back to back as both a 2 & 3Yr old. He then went onto showjump to 1.20m level before going to stud after a foot injury.

Mayhem, was broken professionally @4yrs and then produced from 5yr old into the competition arena by the owners' younger cousin. In her first season competing (2025) as a 6yr old she started her eventing career and quickly notched up placings at BE90 , BS SJ, PC Events. She was selected to be in the PC Teams and qualified and competed at the PC Champs 2026 in the SJ Team at 100 level and WON the PC Novice Eventing Champs.

She started her 2026 season with a 3rd at Poplar Park BE 100.

Unfortunately she sustained a kick in the field which caused no injury other than a small cut requiring antibiotics and muscle bruising which resulted in her missing some time . She was then brought back into work and was 4th at the GO90 at Little Downham.

She has been doing some dressage recently and showjumping but due to her rider going to VET SCHOOL she now needs to find her new jockey.

She absolutely LOVES working and waits by the gate of her field to be brought in to work in the morning. She is happiest living out and does very well like this.

She loves all attention.

She travels in a trailer or lorry. IS very happy if on her own but if she is travelled with others she is not happy being left on the lorry on her own but does cope but happier not left on her own.

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we are looking for the perfect new home for our much-loved 11-year-old grey Connemara gelding, Dom.

After three wonderful years together, my daughter has sadly outgrown him. Dom has given her so many special memories and has been the most genuine, fun-loving pony.

Prior to coming to us, he competed successfully in One Day Events with a small adult, where he was very much loved and, to this day, they remain in touch and take a genuine interest in how he is getting on, which speaks volumes about the sort of pony he is.

Dom is safe to hack alone and in company, he is good with traffic and is sensible in open spaces, just last week we took him on a fun ride where he happily led the way with a group of horses.

My daughter has always handled him, tacking up, bringing him in and out of the field, loading, clipping etc. He has always been kind, sensible and straightforward to manage.

Dom is very easy to keep. He currently comes in during the day and is turned out at night throughout the summer, with the opposite routine during the winter months. He would also happily live out if that suited his new home.

He is up to date with his vaccinations and teeth, and has recently been shod.

This is a heartbreaking decision, and finding the right home is far more important to us than anything else. We would consider a short-term lease with a view to buy for the right person and would love to keep in touch with his future rider.
