Billy ( BallyLee Rambling Boy) is a reluctant sale due to our daughter coming off ponies and transitioning to horses.

He is a lovely pony who has taken my 13 year old daughter from never having competitively jumped, to competitive show jumping up to 1m as well as competing in cross country, arena eventing and dressage.

He has qualified for NSEA championships at Addington in 3 classes this year so far and has started his BS show Jumping career, having competed 3 times twice in Novice and once in Discovery going double clear and placing inside the top 7 in every event so far.

He has been well schooled with three good paces on the flat with changes, he is a forward careful jumper in the ring, who is not phased by water, steps or ditches when arena eventing or cross country.

He trains at home up to 1.25m so has further scope.

Billy is a quality Registered Connemara gelding with Class 1 breeding throughout and N/N status. An athletic, eye-catching pony with all the attributes to excel as an allrounder, Working Hunter, Riding Club horse or grassroots competition pony. He has a fantastic attitude to work and all the ability to become something very special.

Imported from Ireland, Billy was professionally backed and introduced to both showjumping and cross-country before coming to the UK. Like many genuine young horses, he takes a little time to settle into a new home, but once he has found his person his true character shines through. He is genuine, willing and incredibly rewarding to produce, and we have no doubt he will become someone’s pony of a lifetime.

Billy hacks happily alone or in company, is sensible in traffic and open spaces, and has attended arena hires where he behaved impeccably. He recently competed at his first dressage competition, scoring an impressive 72%, taking the atmosphere completely in his stride. He loads, travels and stands quietly on the lorry at shows.

He has three balanced, expressive paces, plenty of presence and covers the ground well. Clean limbed and correct, he has all the quality to progress through the levels.

Billy has confidently jumped 1m single fences at home and has proved to be exceptionally honest, bold and forgiving. Fillers, water trays and new questions dont faze him, and he’ll always try to help his rider. He heads to his first showjumping competition this weekend and we’re excited to continue building his competition record.

Please no novices. He would thrive with a confident young rider/ small adult who wants to get out and enjoy life with him. I brought Boris 2 years ago as a project, however he very quickly stole my heart and I’ve been putting this decision off for a very long time, but the time has come for him to find a new family who will adore him just as much as I do.

Boris has 3 balanced paces, he’s light in the hand, eager to please and a very straightforward enjoyable ride, he is snaffled mouthed at all times and is never strong or silly.
He adjusts well to his rider and can plod around in the slow lane or equally can rank it up for a more forward ride. He is beginning his lateral movements and changes and is proven to be a very quick learner. Boris has an exceptional groundwork education, understands voice commands and will “emergency stop” if asked to. Boris is the sort you can leave for weeks, hop straight on & enjoy- even sensible enough to have happily given small children rides.

Boris hacks alone and in company, he doesn’t fizz up in open spaces and isn’t bothered to be left behind or separated from another horse. He has plenty of experience around heavy machinery and traffic.

Boris loads and travels like a dream, he has seen a lot of the world and isn’t phased by busy warmups or new venues. He will happily stand all day by the lorry and is always such a pleasure to take out.

This year Boris has participated in pretty much every discipline, he is loved by judges and always gets lots of attention when out and about. He absolutely loves his jumping and happily pops round 90cm courses, he will always take a miss and jump from any stride. A genuine, willing horse who always wants to please, he produces a lovely dressage test and consistently scores well. Boris has been there and done it all: showjumping, XC schooling, dressage, showing, hunting, beach rides & many clinics. He is a genuine all- round prospect with the talent, scope and attitude to progress to a high level in any chosen discipline.

He does have a history of behavioural issues when jumping and working over poles, including refusing, rearing and attempting to bolt. These behaviours were previously managed when he was kept in professional livery with ongoing behavioural support, but have since recurred and he shows a clear reluctance towards jumping and pole work.

For this reason, he is considered best suited to a flatwork / dressage focused home.

He is currently in professional training and working very well on the flat and continuing to demonstrate a genuine aptitude for dressage. Consistent, rideable and trainable in flatwork, he is presenting well both in the arena and in open spaces, demonstrating a calm attitude and good way of going.

He has no history of injuries and has been comprehensively assessed by vet, dentist, physio and chiropractor. The behavioural issues are not believed to be pain related. He passed a full 5-stage vetting prior to purchase.

He is currently living out 24/7 and is happy either stabled or turned out full-time. He is good to handle but does not like being left alone when tied up, so benefits from company. Hacks well and is comfortable working in open spaces.

Would suit a confident adult rider, a small professional producer seeking a quality dressage prospect to continue producing, or a small professional eventer looking for a project. He is not suitable for children, novices or nervous riders.

Mike is a much loved member of our family and has been with us for nearly three years. In that time, my daughter has done a bit of everything with him, including Pony Club activities, NSEA, show jumping up to 1m, unaffiliated eventing at 80cm & 90cm, and lots of fun days out including fun rides, he often comes home with ribbons.

He absolutely loves to jump and is always keen and genuine to a fence. Mike is currently training at 1m–1.10m and shows plenty of scope to progress further. He would be ideally suited to a competitive little jockey looking to have lots of fun and success.

Miley is a true schoolmaster and an exceptional all-round competition pony. A fit, talented pony with plenty of experience and scope, he has a fantastic attitude and is a really fun pony for someone to go out and enjoy.

He has clean limbs, excellent conformation, moves straight and is true to type. Miley is scopey and completely unfazed by fillers, water trays and all the questions you put in front of him. He absolutely loves his job and excels in working hunter, as well as cross country, showjumping and eventing in previous homes.

With me Miley has mainly focused on working hunter and flat showing where he has consistently brought home fantastic results, previous owners competed him in showjumping and eventing, and he holds both a BS (96) and BE record, although I have not pursued these disciplines with him myself.

Miley schools beautifully on the flat and is a pleasure to ride. He is an easy ride around novice workers and has plenty of ability/rides well enough up to open classes with scope to spare and this is where he is most comfortable. But for the bigger qualifiers he does require an accurate rider to get the best from him.

He hacks alone and in company. He can become a little more switched on in groups, but is never strong and absolutely never bolts.

On the ground he is an absolute saint to deal with — easy in every way. Loads and travels perfectly, you wouldn’t even know he was there.

Miley is a fit and forward competition pony and is absolutely not suitable for a novice rider. He would be perfect for a competent jockey wanting a quality all-rounder and competitive pony to continue enjoying and progressing with.
