Undoubtedly one of the youngest ponies to qualify and compete at all major UK nationals 2025 including 6th in the 148 bronze league and 12th bluechip novice finals. Won BN second rounds. BD 2nd rounds 3rd round 110 jumping clear and finishing 6th place. Now jumping newcomers with scope to burn and would be aimed at HOYs next year if retained. Dee is a striking, flashy type with an effortless technique over a fence. Purchased just over a year ago as a 4-year-old for my small 12-year-old grandson to enjoy Pony Club, show jumping, hunting and hunter trials.

Dee is naturally athletic, sporty and forward thinking. He schools comfortably up to 1.0m at home and finds this easy. He is careful, quick off the floor and genuinely enjoys his jumping, making him an exciting prospect for someone looking to produce a competitive working hunter, show jumper or event horse.

On the ground he is straightforward and well mannered, good to catch, clip, shoe and load. He has been produced sensibly and consistently, by professional riders and is a quality young horse with the attitude and ability to go on.

Please be mindful that he is 5 years old and can do the odd excitable buck.

He has attended many PC rallys, summer camp and Oxstalls XC and PC Gallops. He has been in different show jumping arenas around Gloucestershire.

He loads well in a lorry or trailer. Hacks out in company and alone.

Genuine reason for sale:
Whilst hunting, Dee kicked out and made contact with the hunt secretary, which has resulted in him no longer being welcome. As hunting was an intended part of his job, this has meant I am now having to hire a horse for hunt days, which is not sustainable. This is the only reason for his sale.

Dee would be ideally suited to a small adult or competent rider looking to produce a talented young horse.

He has clean limbs and no health issues, up to date on vaccinations.

Heartbreaking sale of this pony of a lifetime. Gus is the most wonderful, talented and genuine competition pony. Unfortunately, due to me hopelessly outgrowing him, it’s now time for him to find a new family who will love him as much as we do and where he can fulfil his potential, competing and doing what he loves.

We have had Gus since he was 6 years old and in that time have slowly and carefully brought him on. Low mileage, this has been his first full year doing affiliated British Eventing.

He adores jumping and will never ever stop, always trying his heart out for me and giving me the best feeling.

Gus has proven himself in every sphere, including:

- Qualifying for and selected to represent my pony club at the 2025 Pony Club National Eventing Championships in the 90 class, being particularly proud of him going clear inside the time on a very tricky xc track
- Qualifying for and selected to represent the Wales and West Midlands Region in the u18 BE90 2025 Youth Championships at Chillington Hall, achieving a double clear
- Achieving individual 2nd and team first at 2025 Princethorpe 2 Day Event going double clear and getting a sub 30 dressage
- Qualifying for Schools NSEA National Championships two years running across all disciplines, including qualifying for the 105 Individual SJ, helping the team achieve 3rd in 95 JWS (Arena Eventing), and coming individual 8th in the novice dressage at the 2025 National Championships
- Always perfectly behaved, he has attended numerous pony club clinics, camps and rallies.

Gus is based at Somerford Park Farm where we regularly have fun going round the farm ride alone or with friends. Gus has lovely paces and always has a nice dressage test. He is extremely bold, and loves xc, always being bang on the time. Would be an amazing grassroots prospect. He’s very scopey when show jumping and rarely gets a pole (the ones he does get are due to me being too big for him ).

He always gives 110%, is kind, honest and has no vices, having never reared, bucked or napped. However please note that he is a powerful competition pony with a big engine, so can be strong cross country and therefore is not a novice ride.

He’s amazing on the ground, always greeting us, affectionate and like a big dog at times. He’s very easy to clip, shoe and load.
