This is a heartbreaking sale of a much loved and beautiful pony who has given our daughter the most fabulous 2 ½ years but is now hopelessly outgrown.

We purchased her as a pony club pony; she went to pony club camp during the second week we had her and went on to compete in pony club dressage and showjumping teams. Our daughter’s focus is dressage and while we do a bit of everything with China, jumping with us is just for fun and a bit of variety.

China has helped our daughter move from her first Prelim tests to currently competing at Elementary. She has three straight and balanced paces and a beautifully elegant way of going. She’s been a regular in BD Intercounty Challenge teams (Prelim 2025 and Novice 2026) , BD Interregional Championships (2025 and 2026) and BD Youth Home Nations Team (Novice 2026) and BD Area Festivals as well as many unaffiliated successes.

She’s been to pony club camps, numerous stayaway shows and trips to the beach, always handled by our daughter. She is great to hack and will go infront or behind. She is very safe and sane in open spaces and show environments etc. We are based on a farm so she is used to all sorts of farm machinery and animals. Due to personal circumstances and absolutely no fault of his own, I am looking for Jimis forever home. Having been in my life for over 8 years this Is not a decision I have taken lightly.

Jimi has always been my dressage pony. He would make a great low level all rounder. He is happy jumping courses 60-70cm and has jumped up to 1.10m single fence but I wouldn't sell him as a pure jumping pony. Has been XC schooling. He would excel in dressage in the right hands with regularly placing at prelim with huge potential to go further.

He is not an "easy" cob as such, he is cheeky but willing. He has buttons when schooling, not a kick and go type as have spent a lot of time over the years on his schooling. He is incredible at lateral work etc. Jimi can sometimes be strong and can throw a very small buck if tickled with the whip. He is however very adaptable for his rider and has had beginners and kids on him and he really looks after them.

Jimi would hack all day every day, I regularly hack him bareback. He goes alone and in company, first or last. He can be bouncy in open fields but not strong or dangerous, he just gets excited. Amazing in traffic.

Jimi has great ground manners, like a big dog and can be handled by kids. He can be in mixed or separate herds, he's a friendly chap all round.

Good to bath, loads and travels, currently barefoot but has been shod and stands for farrier. Good to clip but does need a little patience round his face.

He is never sick or sorry and holds no medical history.

A smart and naturally active mover, flash is easy to put together on the flat in an outline and creates a lovely, correct picture. Works well laterally with medium paces coming on nicely.

He adjusts well to his rider and can plod around in the slow lane or equally can rank it up for a more forward ride. He is beginning his lateral movements and changes and is proven to be a very quick learner. Boris has an exceptional groundwork education, understands voice commands and will “emergency stop” if asked to. Boris is the sort you can leave for weeks, hop straight on & enjoy- even sensible enough to have happily given small children rides.

Boris hacks alone and in company, he doesn’t fizz up in open spaces and isn’t bothered to be left behind or separated from another horse. He has plenty of experience around heavy machinery and traffic.

Boris loads and travels like a dream, he has seen a lot of the world and isn’t phased by busy warmups or new venues. He will happily stand all day by the lorry and is always such a pleasure to take out.

This year Boris has participated in pretty much every discipline, he is loved by judges and always gets lots of attention when out and about. He absolutely loves his jumping and happily pops round 90cm courses, he will always take a miss and jump from any stride. A genuine, willing horse who always wants to please, he produces a lovely dressage test and consistently scores well. Boris has been there and done it all: showjumping, XC schooling, dressage, showing, hunting, beach rides & many clinics. He is a genuine all- round prospect with the talent, scope and attitude to progress to a high level in any chosen discipline.

Boris is perfect for the vet, dentist, farrier, physio, sheath cleaner etc. He is barefoot, up to date with vaccinations and worming, and he has no medical history.

Please note- Boris is an absolute saint in every way; however, he will not be going to a novice home and is not suitable for a novice rider or handler, he is still a young horse and would suit an experienced older child/ teen or adult.

Beautiful dressage pony and Fabulous all rounder 13.3hds grey Connemara pony, 11yo, Owned since a 4yo and ridden and competed by my three children and myself, sadly I am the only one who hasn’t out grown him.

Has done lots of pony club activities and riding club in dressage, SJ and ODE and gymkana. Well placed in the riding club dressage championships. He’s always placed in the ribbons.

KMD Iceni is a very exciting 5-year-old, 145.8cm competition pony gelding with an exceptional future ahead of him.

Bred at KMD Stud, a proven name in the breeding and production of children's competition ponies, Iceni was bred with eventing in mind and carries a high percentage of Thoroughbred blood.

He has already enjoyed a fantastic start to his competition career. At the BD Young Pony Finals at Hartpury, he finished 4th, having travelled all the way from Scotland and, remarkably, with the only child rider in the class. This was only his third show.

He has been competing BD with a fantastic record of results and is now beginning his transition into eventing. He has all the attributes to excel across the disciplines and is ready for a little person to continue his education and enjoy the next stage of his career, including going cross-country.

Breeding & Performance

His breeding offers genuine top-level sport potential. His half brother is a BE and Pony Club eventing champion, has successfully competed BD at Championship level and gained his flags at youth national level. Other siblings have also successfully competed in the show ring, BD and BS.

His dam was a PUK Champion SHP, from a proven family including HOYS winners.

Temperament & Home

Iceni has a fantastic personality and plenty of character. He is a genuinely lovely pony who enjoys his work and will be a child's best friend as well as a serious competition partner.

He hacks around the farm, is great to have around and is straightforward, genuine and willing. He is the sort of pony who wants to be involved and has the attitude to keep learning.

He has been produced and ridden by children, for children, and we feel this is an important part of his story.
