Teddy is an utter dream, all the talent and a personality to match! He started off his dressage career in his previous home with a then tiny 9yo jockey, together they progressed up through the levels; participating in BD youth, training with some fabulous trainers and competing nationally. For the last eighteen months he has been in a PC home, taking part in all activities, with a focus on dressage. He jumps 60/70s happily, has been to camp, hacks, rides in a group etc. He has been sadly outgrown and is now ready to show another very lucky child the ropes.

It goes without saying that Teddy is beautifully schooled, easy for a younger jockey to ride correctly and takes the biggest atmosphere in his stride. He is super to hack, fantastic at stayaways etc. He also has the most incredible temperament, he is kind, genuine and always wants to please. The only thing he doesn’t like is being tied up around water, although is fine to be bathed.

He was five stage vetted and x-rayed eighteen months ago which he flew through. Very nice fitted saddles and bridle available. Home is of upmost importance, Teddy is adored by everyone who knows him!

Zeus has taken my son from being a very nervous prelim rider to winning at Aintree High Profile in CoH on 76% in October '24 and then moving up to FEI ponies, competing and scoring consistently mid 60's this year at Premier League and High Profile shows in the Pony FEI classes. They have placed 3rd in the FEI Pony Individual test at the Youth Home Nations with 67.5%. 4th at Bury Farm High Profile and 4th Arena UK High Profile FEI Pony Individual. They have scored up to 70+% in Pony FEI tests at regular BD shows. All with a 13 year old rider with no previous experience at this level. My son has grown so much as a rider, thanks to his time with Zeus, that he is now totally confident riding in busy warm up arenas at championship shows and riding hot or young horses. He was even long listed for the Europeans at CoH this year (*not on Zeus) something that we could never have dreamed was possible a few years ago.

This pony absolutely LOVES to compete. The bigger the atmosphere the better as far as he is concerned! Never sharp, silly or spooky. He is completely reliable and will not let you down in the ring; he knows his job the moment he goes down the centre line and will help you throughout the test. He is easy to travel, stay away etc and thrives in these environments.

He is fully established at FEI. He has a particularly good canter with lots of scope and excellent, well established simple changes which he always scores highly for. He is an excellent schoolmaster and would do a wonderful job at helping another, less confident child, progress up the levels at record pace. Would also suit a small adult and previously scored 66+% at the Medium Silver National Championships. He also has a change and has previously competed at Advanced Medium.

This is a very sad sale of a much loved pony. My son has another two years left in the age category, and we know they could do even better together over the next few years. However, he is now 6ft and growing rapidly, so sadly is just getting too tall and needs to move on to horses.
