It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we offer our much-loved boy for sale. We bought him directly from his breeder two years ago as a newly backed green 6-year-old with the aim of producing him, and he has absolutely blossomed into a talented, fun and genuine all-round pony.

He would ideally suit a small adult or experienced, competent teenager with a knowledgeable family looking for a quality dressage or all-round pony club pony or a even just a safe hack

My daughter has invested a huge amount of time into his schooling, and this is where he really shines. Dressage is undoubtedly his strongest phase, and he genuinely enjoys his work.

Together they have competed for our Pony Club in:

Last year they qualified for and were placed at both pc dressage Regional and pc dressage National Championships prelim / pc 70 & pc 80 , and they have already qualified again for the Bicton Regional Championships at the end of August he can be viewed there also. He could definitely go on to doing novice level with a rider that wants to take him to his full potential

He enjoys show jumping and is an honest, careful pony who always tries his best, he’ll give you a lovely, reliable round 70/80cm , has done 90-100cm on single jumps so again this is something he could possibly move up to the more experienced he gets.

Cross country is something we haven’t focused on as much as other disciplines with the last 2 summers having such hard ground.

We have tried a few events this is definitely not his strongest point with someone that’s prepared to put time in to this area he may grow in this discipline . For this reason I’d like someone that enjoys flat work and hacking more then someone that wants to event or solely SJ

He is currently barefoot with excellent feet and has always coped well.

To Handle

He is:

He lives happily in a herd and can also go out individually provided he can see other horses in neighbouring fields. Like many horses, he prefers not to be the last one left in the field.

He has attended stay-away shows and two Pony Club residential camps, where he behaved impeccably.

Finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale, so we’d rather be completely honest.

He can be a nibbler, particularly if he’s feeling anxious or unsure, or when fastening chest straps. This has improved hugely over the last two years, but because of this he is not suitable for young children or inexperienced handlers.

He is very sensitive is also not a novice ride he needs a confident rider who will ride him not just sit there and With a confident, capable rider who is consistent and fair, he is an absolute pleasure and gives you everything.

Home Is most important This boy means the absolute world to us, so finding him the right home is our priority. We want someone who will love and appreciate him as much as we have and continue bringing out the best in him , he needs a rider that will ride him as he is not a automatic push button school master and more woah then go. I don’t want him passed around so would like a home that wants a horse the can grow a bond with and enjoy him doing what he loves.

I brought Boris 2 years ago as a project, however he very quickly stole my heart and I’ve been putting this decision off for a very long time, but the time has come for him to find a new family who will adore him just as much as I do. 

Boris has 3 balanced paces, he’s light in the hand, eager to please and a very straightforward enjoyable ride, he is snaffled mouthed at all times and is never strong or silly. 

He adjusts well to his rider and can plod around in the slow lane or equally can rank it up for a more forward ride. He is beginning his lateral movements and changes and is proven to be a very quick learner. Boris has an exceptional groundwork education, understands voice commands and will “emergency stop” if asked to. Boris is the sort you can leave for weeks, hop straight on & enjoy- even sensible enough to have happily given small children rides.

Boris hacks alone and in company, he doesn’t fizz up in open spaces and isn’t bothered to be left behind or separated from another horse. He has plenty of experience around heavy machinery and traffic. 

Boris loads and travels like a dream, he has seen a lot of the world and isn’t phased by busy warmups or new venues. He will happily stand all day by the lorry and is always such a pleasure to take out. 

This year Boris has participated in pretty much every discipline, he is loved by judges and always gets lots of attention when out and about. Yellow is also good to hack alone or in company and is equally happy to go in front or behind. He loads into both a lorry and trailer and is happy living either in the stable or out in the field.

He is a competition pony and thrives on regular, consistent work. He can happily have a few days off, but he is not suited to being left for weeks at a time. He is not a novice ride, as he needs a rider with a secure, established position who understands how to ride him sympathetically and avoid accidentally pressing his buttons.

He would be ideally suited to a teenager or small adult looking for a pony who can introduce them to the higher level movements while still providing a sensible, experienced and enjoyable ride.

Yellow does itch his mane and tail, so wears a cotton fly rug during the summer.

He sustained an injury at the end of September 2025 but has made a full recovery since . Full details will be openly disclosed to anyone genuinely interested.

This is a very sad sale of a much-loved pony who has given my daughter so much confidence, experience and enjoyment. We are looking for a knowledgeable, loving and competitive home where Yellow can continue to do what he loves. References will be required.
