Heartbreaking sale for us, but now priced to sell as new pony arriving !!
Rosie is looking for her new home and little person to love her.
* 12.2 Dartmoor, bred in Berkshire and youngest of the 3 'Amners' siblings
* full history known. Clear vet record
* Barefoot, v good hard feet.
* She is a pingy pocket ?? and so much fun - the one the kids will remember as their fav childhood pony.
Competes SJ at 80/85 (Trains 90 at home and 1m individual jumps). XC schools at 80cm.
* 2023 Sunshine Tour reserve champion 65cm
* 2024 Bronze League finalist top 10 - Clear round
* 85cm Open. Double clear and finished 12th / 78. Very speedy time for Rosie and they didn't take all the short cuts, just 3 seconds between her and the top 3. Second round 90cms unlucky pole (rider confidence)
* PC Regionals Teams 80cm
* 2024 BS Academy Team Championships - Clear round
* Will help a child with the quickest jump off if they want to be brave and bold
* Thrives on variety and exercised currently 5 days a week, active brain so needs to be in work.
* The very few faults in the ring have been due to rider lacking confidence and commitment to a fence. If rider is committed Rosie will give you everything she has. She's not a stopper and very careful not to knock a pole.
* Would suit a confident yet quiet child
* Good do'er: hay and vits that's all. Happy in or out
* I know it’s sounds cliche but we are not horsey parents and therefore a pony for us has to have V GOOD stable and ground manners.
Vices: Not as confident hacking by herself but can do it, just a bit ??. Typical native for grass! greedy. Gives the odd mare ears but means nothing by it she’s just a mare.
I cant speak highly enough of this little mare. We love her and I know you shouldn't get attached but too late, we are !
The partnership and confidence she has built with her current jockey is wonderful to see, we couldn't ask for more. She's taken her from unaffiliated 65cm to affiliated and into Nationals 85/90cm within their first year of BS, part of Academy and PC Teams. Rosie is very talented and bred to compete, there's still a few gears there to be explored. She's keen and loves her job but not strong, and has brakes.
Rosie is also happy to have a go at anything: showcross, mounted games, beach rides, racing through fields, being pampered, following her rider round the school, in hand ground work and hacks etc
An absolute joy to own, we've been very careful not to over jump her; too often or too high. Longevity and welfare is most important whilst balancing the wants of a keen showjumper ! She's good to clip & load, absolute gem at stay aways, impeccable behaviour.
Not ideal for a total novice although she will step down, she loves competing especially xc where she is lots of fun, keen, but safe.
This is a very sad sale for us but rider has outgrown her and Rosie needs to bring on her next jockey.
Full wardrobe included (lots of rugs) with tack; Black country saddle only 18months old. Would like the saddle to stay with her as she is a typical native, wide shoulders and this saddle is perfect for her and took a long time finding.
Currently located in Lincs but can arrange arena hire for tryouts and transport.
MANY videos and photos to show off her many skills, she's a true kids pony !!
Now priced low for her level of experience and success.
