Ronny loves X country , bold and brave to jump and steady -jumps on and off banks, ditches , in water etc.. stands while you get on , he is a true Schoolmaster.

He rides nice and light in the school and never gets strong and you can put a lot of leg on him , he just wants to please.

You can ride Ronny bare back , the kids jump on and of him all the time in the stable , such a fun cob.. jumps show jumps well and very honest.

These types of cob are hard to find , he is one in a million! Super safe !

He would suit a happy hacker/riding club/lead-rein/ pony club/riding school sort of homes ...

Ronny loves fuss and attention, he loves my children riding and handling him.

Perfect to load on lorry or a trailer and will wait patiently on the lorry.

Are you looking for the next step up from your tiny pony? But don’t want to go too big

Ref #: 385197
  • Are you looking for a loving lead rein who will look after your little ones?

  • Are you looking for a loving lead rein who will look after your little ones?
  • Do you want an honest loving lead rein pony? Who will show them the fun side of pony riding?

Meet Dublin aka Dubs, he is a Kerry Bog Pony… We had never heard of this breed when we were buying, but google it…

He is a 11hh Strawberry Roan aged 16.

Dubs has been with ourselves for three years and my daughter is now fully out grown him and ready for the next step onto her next pony. He has been used for lead rein but he is forward enough and responsive enough to do both lead rein and 1.5 pony when the time is ready for little one to be let of the lead.

Dubs is a regular at our local Pony Club where we have done weekly rallies, mounted games, dressage, musical dressage, pony club camp, poles on the floor and 30cm cross poles. Plenty of pictures can be shared of him in attendance. Dubs’ strength is mounted games where he stops at the poles for the cups, perfectly stands at the bucket to drop the sock etc.

Dubs’ lives on a working farm and is used to dogs, cats, chickens, sheep and cattle. He is great with farm machinery and used to the tractor coming right up to his stable gate.

Dubs loves to hack, and he is a fantastic to hack and is safe with all aspects of traffic, his previous home to us was a heavy haulage yard. We regularly cross a 4 lane by pass to get to the local park, he goes around the roundabout (via footpath) to the local ice cream shop and stands like a lamb whilst the traffic goes by.

He loves to be pampered, fussed, groomed, he will stand like a dream to be clipped and platted. He will pop his head on your shoulders for kisses on his muzzle. He will have his feet picked out by my daughter with no problems. He has good stable manners and will listen my daughter to tell him get back for his food.

Dubs is excellent to catch, farrier- he is barefooted, vet, dentist, tack up, loaded by my daughter. He will be tied up on the side of the trailer eating a haynet whilst at shows/camps he isn’t silly and you can leave him whilst you and get sorted/sign in/get your child ready etc.

Dubs is has never been ill with us and has no sign of laminitis whilst with us, he is on stripped grazing on rich dairy grass, during the summer he is out at night and in during the day, during the winter, he goes out when he can as our land gets rather wet he stands on our yard with a net. He is a good doer and lives off hay and a balancer during the winter months.

Until he is sold Dubs will be in regular work with our local pony club, winter league mounted games session and will also continue his hacks around our village.

As a mum myself I want to know the pony’s quirks before hand as I don’t want to be wasting your time coming to see a pony who wont fit into your life.

Dubs’ Quirks

Dubs requires a standing martingale as he does moves his head up and down, once this on it does reduce. He increases his head movement when he is standing waiting his turn for a rally or mounted games wanting to go next- think of a chid asking ‘Mum Mum’ for attention. I have managed this with a little reminder to keep his space from the leader.

Dubs will also whizz out of an electric fence if it’s not on, or if there are less than two strips of tape on the post- my electric skills aren’t the best, but if hears the clicks he doesn’t escape.

Once the trailer has stopped moving Dubs can be a but stompy in the trailer- again showing his attention seeking side, he has never caused any damage to the trailer and loads of very easily by my daughter.

Dubs is a little pony with buckets of scope and talent to go far at shows, pony clubs and pony adventures. Once he has plats in he points his toes like a ballerina.

Only serious buyers to be in contact, Dubs will come with all his wardrobe including saddle, bridle with made to measure hooped reins, made to measure standing martingale and a few rugs.

Safe, sensible and very fun all rounder!

Bella is a beautiful model of a cob, a real leg in each corner and a true weight carrier. She would make the ultimate mother and daughter share. She is naturally very quiet and easy in all ways, but she’s also a lot of fun and a comfy ride!

Bella absolutely loves her jumping and cross country! She is very honest and always helps her rider out. Jumps over fillers and is popping fences of 70/80cm with plenty of ability for more. She’s very brave and jumps whatever she’s pointed at without question. She has a neat and careful technique over a fence. Has been ridden in dressage boards and would produce a sweet test.

Bella is brilliant to hack, she goes out in the woods and out on the road for miles on her own and in company, she’s sensible in all types of traffic. Bella enjoys beach rides, she happily walks on a loose rein and goes in the water, and loves a good canter when asked!
She’s been ridden out with hounds and behaved impeccably, she will be a fantastic hunting pony for this season. She’s bold and will take on hunt fences. She’s good to ride in open spaces on her own or out in groups.

Bella has been ridden and handled mostly by a 10yr old girl, who has done the majority of the work with her. Always snaffle mouthed, not strong. Responsive enough to the leg, she’s not a kick along cob and has plenty of stamina in her, she’s happy to keep working. She will be a wonderful pony club pony for rallies and camps. You can have a wobble on her she doesn’t take offence, and can do round the world, stand on her back etc. Has been lead around on lead rein with a 4yr old boy. She’s a true family pony.

Bella comes to call in the field. She is good to clip, load, travel, shoe, handle. She ties up well and loves to be washed and groomed. She can occasionally pull a slight face at a new horse next to her in the stable.

I recently imported Bella from Ireland, I am still in touch with her old owner who very much loved her. She passed a five stage vetting on purchase with me, and she is open to any viewings and further vetting.

LEAD REIN, SHOW PONY OR SMALL ADULTS SUPERSTAR

  • Moves beautifully and would excel if prepared for a show home

This pony can sort of do it all - so depending on what you are looking for he may be just what you need.

Stable name: Prince
Passport name: Chanwin Celtic Garland
Sire: Millcroft Beluga (by Millcroft / Royal Lustre x Thornwood Royalist)
Dam: Hilin Garland (by top sire Hilin Carnedd, a Royal Welsh champion and WPCS sire-ratings winner)

Very quiet and needs lots of kicking so either suited to a lead rein OR a stronger more competitive rider as he has the ability but you have to MAKE him work.

Very safe and reliable, does not buck or rear. Happily wobbles about in trot round the fields, out hacking all day long - if out in open space could race another pony in canter.

Very slow and steady in the arena - great to teach someone to canter on, goes like a rocking horse.

Lovely jump and lots of ability. Current owner tried to take BS and whilst he has all the ability she doesn't have the strength to get results.

Would do a fabulous dressage test for a stronger rider & I believe he would be excellent for a showing home.

If you're little and you don't want to kick he's not for you! If you're a light adult and want a flashy pony I find him very easy but you need to ride effectively and not bang and kick about to bring out his best.

Based at Queenz Equestrian. Was previously owned by Queenz, client purchased him and kept him at Queenz, rider now moving on to BS pony with more experience.

Blaze, beautiful, uncomplicated, RDA type 13'3 piebald mare. 18 years young, in fabulous health. Non spooky type.

Ideal mother/child share (max. weight of 10 stone). Has always been unshod. Easy to do in all ways, currently handled daily by a 10 year old. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth and hoof trimming.

Happily hacks out, either behind or in front, not phased by lorries, tractors, trailers, prams, dogs etc.

Happily schools in both an indoor arena (with mirrors) and an outdoor arena. Loads beautifully and has attended some local jumping classes.

Can be turned out alone or as part of a herd. A type that is hard to find. Was in her last home from the age of 5 until I bought her 18 months ago. I purchased her to be my forever pony, very sad sale due to me no longer being able to ride due to chronic illness, or she wouldn't be going anywhere.

Looking for somewhere in the region of £4,250, with tack by separate negotiation. Excellent facilities to try her in.

This is a very honest advert, i paid significantly more than I am asking for purely for her temperament, as I needed to be as safe as possible. Based not far from M5, Junc.22

Topper - Black and white cob

Perfect kids pony
SUPER SUPER SAFE
KIND, LOVING, SUPERSTAR

Topper is the calmest, considerate, gentleman who always takes care of his riders. Ridden by tiny tots both on and off the lead rein.

He is literally push button, responding to the voice throughout all upwards and downwards gaits.

He responded to the leg / voice moving through his paces super slowly and calmly, he simply has one steady pace.

Tonnes of experience and unbelievably safe. Ideal for a beginner, nervous rider or a rider who wants to progress and have some fun, he is super steady, calm and gentle in every way, he is chilled but not a plod, even though he is extremely safe, he responds to the leg and has 3 excellent paces. He is kind and willing and will do anything you ask, jumps a course of small fences, logs and cross country jumps, he walks, trots and canters incorporating figures of 8, 3 and 4 loop serpentines, 20 metre circles in all paces on and off the lead rein in a slow, steady relaxed gait.

He is a fantastic all-rounder.

This is a really fantastic pony for anyone to build up their confidence, learn to ride and continue to progress on.

Definitely a 1st and 2nd pony.

He really is a true kids pony who looks after the smallest of riders, he has spent the last 2.5 years teaching children to ride, from complete beginners who have never sat on a pony up to riders who can walk, trot, canter and jump.

Children simply hold the handle on the saddle until they obtain the confidence to let go, Topper responses to the voice throughout the paces so no rein contact is required.

7yrs schoolmaster

Exceptional gelding with tonnes of experience for sale. Has spent the last 2.5yrs in the same riding school where he has been ridden by complete novice, intermediate and advanced riders. He has done all flat work lessons, privates and groups, with the same enthusiasm now as when he first started his riding school career. He is very genuine and loves to hack out, he doesn’t pull, rush, spook or get nervous of anything, he is the most loving gelding you could ever wish to meet. He is one of the favourite with our SEN children, he participates in all our RDA lessons, hacks and stable management sessions.

Absolutely no vices, when ridden, in the stable or in the field and has brilliant manners enabling the tiniest tot to handle him safely and with ease, will stand for hours with no head collar or lead rope being groomed.

He has exceptional manners and ticks so many boxes for someone looking for a very safe easy schoolmaster, with no ifs or buts.

Topper will hack out alone or in company in the heaviest of traffic without batting an eye lid. He is 100% safe, steady and collected when ridden in all paces across open fields, regardless of whether he is at the front, back or on his own, he will not rush or pull even on the way home.

This pony is simply one in a million, he is one of our main RDA ponies, where he is ridden in the paddock, across open fields and roads by riders with mild to severe learning requirements he will stand at a mounting block / hoist for hours if required, he is absolutely not phased at all by extremely loud noises, shouting and screaming, riders waving their arms and swinging their legs, even dismounting whilst he is moving, he simply stops immediately.

Snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets.

He is stabled during the day and out at night within a mixed herd, he equally happy to be stabled or turned out full time, he keeps himself to himself and never causes any trouble despite being out with 30 other horses.

He isn’t clingy in any way and is happy being stable and or turned out solo.

He is currently barefoot he has excellent manners with the farrier and could be shod if needed, he ties up anywhere, and loves attention.

He is excellent to catch, with the farrier and dentist.

Topper would give confidence to any rider/ handler and could easily compete at riding club level, fun/beach rides.

He can go for months without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, he is extremely low maintenance, he maintains his weight all year round on grass and hay and Haylage during the winter months.

He has never been lame had laminitis, sweet-itch or sarcoids.

In the past 2.5yrs I can honestly say he has never been lame, sick or sorry, my vet can verify this, he has passed the riding school annual inspections with flying colours, this is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

Looking for a five star private home to give someone the opportunity to purchase a safe and very sensible pony, with so much to offer.

Topper is Truly one in a million and really can’t be missed.

Absolute heartbreaking sale but we like to change our stock around about every 2 years to give our fantastic horses and ponies the opportunity to experience a one to one home again.

We have other horses and ponies available for viewings.

Uphill Artic Fox - Registered Section A - Gelding - 12 Years

Brought for my six year old son earlier in the year from another Pony Club Home, sadly he is not really interested. We did Pony Club Camp in the Summer, Reggie was a star. He did the first day on lead rein, then off with runner and on the last day, he was on his own.

Reggie is more kick on, he is safe and won’t run off but he needs a positive rider to trot. Would suit child that isn’t wobbly and can trot, ideally an established 6yrs + - 10yrs - he takes the leg up for slightly older child wanting to Show.

Reggie is super at gymkhana games, handy pony, poles, small courses, likes jumping, we’ve done 30-40cms with him.

Dressage / Showing - he did a lovely test at Camp (he came 3rd) stunning paces. He has been to Olympia in hand when he was younger, and Area Showing Champs.

We haven’t hunted but the old owners told me has, and he leads off another horse.

Good to Clip, Shoe, Catch, Hack Load & Travel.

Clean legs, upto date with Vacs/ Teeth (Open to Vet).

Reggie can be grumpy, mainly grumpy faces, especially around food. He is not a pony that loves fuss (not nasty) he doesn’t mind a bit, he wouldn’t like hours of kissing and cuddles. He is a competition, pony club pony that needs to do a job, priced competitively for this reason.

FYFR first ridden/lead rein pony.

11hh, Reg’d Welsh A, gelding, 16 years old.

Excellent to handle by even the smallest of children, will stand tied up whilst my youngest daughter brushes his hooves!

Excellent in traffic, never strong or silly, snaffle mouth, definitely (absolutely!) a more woah than go type off the lead rein, loves to plod along. Leads perfectly on foot or from another horse, we lead him from our 16.2hh warm blood mare, somehow he manages to keep up!

In a previous home before we bought him he'd been used for pony club rallies/camp, showing etc. We've used him for mostly hacking, some local showing and fun rides.
He's only had 3 previous homes and I know each one, all of them follow his progress and I think that says a lot about him as pony.

We have owned Blaze for 4 fantastic years, he has bought our daughter on from a nervous/novice 5 year old who was on the lead rein to a confident, happy rider who has progressed to her 2nd pony.
He is the type of pony that doesn't mess around if his little jockey puts in a kick at the wrong time or has washing line reins, he doesn't take advantage if they can't quite get the aids right or if they haven't yet got full balance in trot and bounce along, the perfect pony to learn on.
My youngest has ridden him on and off since she was 2 years old, a true family pony.

We have absolutely adored our time with him, we thought we'd be able to give him a home for life but sadly my youngest daughter isn't interested enough and he's being wasted sat in the field as an ornament, I know how hard good ponies are to find, he's a true gem.

He's shod on the front, excellent in every way, comes to call.

He does have cushings and EMS which both are currently medicated for, he is currently stable but I have priced him fairly for the fact that he requires medication and special care, that said he is easy to manage with a muzzle on turned out and then soaked hay at night.

He is looking for an easy going home, would be perfect for a little tot wanting to plod around.

Heartbreaking sale of our wonderful little Blaze so please only apply if you can offer him an amazing home.

Based Devon/Cornwall border.

£1500 no offers, will come with his full wardrobe, quality fitted leather tack which includes a Kent and master saddle.

Rides well both on and off the lead rein
Lovely little Maddie- What an absolute little star. As well as being utterly adorable to look at

For her age Maddie is a complete saint to ride and look after. She is regularly handled by a small nervous 7yo girl as well as a multitude of other children and young riders. They can catch her by themselves, lead her around, brush her and feed her completely un assisted. This super little lady never makes a fuss and is calm and kind at all times.

She is a wonderful little lead rein pony with manners to burn. Ideal to teach any little jockey. Also rides nicely off of the lead rein has 3 eye catching paces and would undoubtedly turn heads in the show ring. Happily pops round a nice course of fences and is proving to do so slowly and steadily.

Super safe out on the roads, in heavy traffic and open spaces. Regularly taken out on forest trails by 9 yo novice. Very low maintenance, happily lives in or out with mares and geldings. Good with dogs, farm machinery and most importantly, loves children.

She is only 5 so needs bringing on but would be happy enough to do this along side her new best friend, wouldn’t need professional schooling. Has all the basics well established and a temperament so kind and willing she will make someone the most lovely pony club pony

The ultimate first pony, leid rein and first ridden schoolmaster. Been there done it, got the t-shirt and the matching hoodie!

This saintly little pony has been sadly outgrown and is for sale on behalf of his owners, who are heart broken to part with him, however he has so much to offer another little child and do his wonderful little job all over again.

Has done an abundance of pony club ( all activities), been to camps, local shows from showing classes, to side saddle to mini jumping and cross country. He loves the beach and is safe as houses in all traffic and open spaces.

Batman is rock steady and a baby sitter on 4 legs, confidence builder. He has the cutest little canter which is easy for a child to learn to sit too, very comfy and balanced.

His faultless CV is too long to mention in one advert, brilliant to handle, farrier, box, catch, clip and load.

We are looking for a superstar pony for our petite 8 year old (120cm) approx 12 - 12.2hh

He is walking, trotting and cantering off the lead and currently trotting small courses up to about 40cm.

We are looking for a kind, experienced pony who can hold his hand and help his confidence soar, further establish his seat and safely take him out to competitions - primarily dressage and showjumping. Must be a confidence giver as the nerves can sometimes creep in.

Will have a varied life to include lessons, hacking, NSEA and pony club.
Must go for little legs and be suitable for a child to handle.

We’d love a true child’s best friend - the sort you can do fancy dress on at your local show, go to camp or stay aways without them getting unsettled and most importantly, something that enjoys lots of cuddles and kisses!

Some minor health conditions considered as long as disclosed and reflected in the price.

We are an experienced family home and have a younger sibling waiting in the wings, so would like something that we can treasure for many years.

Sensible budget.
Ideally located within 2 hours of Dorset

11.2hh 11 year old, registered with fantastic breeding (Thistledown Dukes of Hazard)

Was shown by previous owner and is a proper first pony off lead rein but will step up if asked.

He’s a very gentle lad and last owner had him for 6 years and is local to me so well known pony, he was bought to bring on their Daughters confidence which he did in leaps and bounds and she is now 14 and competing on horses. He is fine with wobbly or unbalanced riders but please note he goes off leg nicely and isn’t a riding school plod but is not by any means sharp!

Can be brought in by my 5 year old and stands lovely even if you are faffing around.

We have taken him to a pc show with other ponies cantering around him and he is as a star nothing like that phases him. He has been mainly used for showing flat, will jump small jumps but hasn’t done much big stuff. He looks after his little riders but equally is brilliant off the lead rein too doing more.

Sadly only selling as my daughter has zero interest and he’s too good to be sat in a field!

He has been to shows this year ridden and inhand and has done very well 2nd in most classes!

He loves the show enviroment and is very calm, he also attended a pony club day and was fab with my nervous daughter, indoor and then they went for a big hack on open fields and he was fab.

I do think he would be best suited as a first ridden as he likes to be doing things and shows so well too.

He had a friend’s novice Daughter ride him recently and was an absolute star and looked after her so well, he is very forgiving however you sit or hold reins.

Upto date with farrier, Vaccinations, worming and teeth.

In no rush to sell and only the best of homes, please don’t message me if you want to loan or come for a ride he is not being used and abused for a day out. Sorry to sound harsh but this is genuinely a hard sale.

Videos available on request.

We have for sale my daughter's beautiful palamino Welsh section B, this pony has the sweetest nature she will stand all day to be pampered by any number of children, my youngest can drive his pedal tractor round her legs and she doesn't care.

We broke her in only last year but in that time she has show jumped , Cross countryed, shown and rode round the farm. Her jump is to die for she will happily jump 80cm without a thought and loved the cross country training days we have done on her.

My daughter's broken her in herself so this is a very hard sale and only due to my daughter growing so fast.

We've taken her to lots of local shows and agricultural shows where she behaved like a dream and took many a red rosette and champion.

She's done dressage too , loads like dream and will stand on the trailer all day

She is great to trim but hasn't been shod and catches for fun .

We don't hack much so I can't say what she would be like but she's used to a busy farm and the shoots on the land.

Violet requires a good quiet child rider to take her to the top as that's where she's heading but sadly my daughter is getting too tall.

This is a very hard sale so no time wasters, loans or trials.

Happy to send photos and videos so just massage me.

13.1 8yo Welsh x Cob pony - Super Allrounder

We have owned Fred for 4 years and he is only for sale due to being outgrown by my 14 yo daughter, who has now moved up to horses. We have had him since he was 3 and green as a cucumber. Full history known; never sick, nor sorry and now a very well rounded, brave, honest and loyal pony.

Fred is an amazing pony, full of character as you would expect from a Welshy Cob cross - he follows my daughter around like a large ginger labrador. I would say he is best suited to an experienced novice or even a petite adult (my daughter is 5' 6"and still comfortably rides him). He is a real chunk of a pony, so takes the leg well. He would make a perfect lead rein pony, but would be totally wasted, but ideal for younger siblings to learn on though.

Fred has done pretty much everything with us, jumping, cross country, hacking, canter tracks, basic dressage tests, clinics, equine archery, working equitation, he'll try anything. The only thing we have not done is showing, simply because it not our thing, but everywhere he goes we are told we should show him - he certainly has the looks for it! In the right hands he would do really well in dressage too. He will school all day long and loves it when you change it up a bit with poles or barrels.

His favourite has to be jumping and has competed up to 70cm (plenty of ribbons), he has jumped over a metre in the school with ease. You can literally turn him loose in the school and he will jump all on his own. My daughter even jumps and schools him bare back in just a head collar. He is very brave and honest and always tries his best no matter what you put in front of him. When we took him to our local XC course, on grass for the first time, he jumped everything first time without hesitation- like a pro!

Fully up to date with vaccinations, had farrier every 8 weeks (bare foot), teeth (done yearly) and wormers, physio visits every 8 weeks (very spoilt pony but he deserves it).

Fred is straightforward to ride and has been ridden by children and adults, from 5 to 35, with different riding abilities from novice to advanced. Fred is happy to plod around the school or on hacks, but he will step it up for the more advanced rider - he loves his job.

He loves a fuss and is good to shoe / groom/ bath / tack up - he can fidget a bit but just needs to be told. He has only ever been clipped once; he was good as gold - just stick a Lickit in front of his nose and he will do anything for you.

Currently turned out during the day with a mixed herd and stabled at night. He has previously been in both single and paired turn out and was perfectly happy. Easy to catch from the field. He has impeccable stable manners and is very clean (so easy to muck out!). He can be a bossy little git in the field, until he learns his place (but he is part Welshy after all).

Like new Kent & Masters (PC long leg version - 2yo) saddle, bridle and rugs AVAILABLE BY SEPARATE NEGOTIATION.

Fred will ONLY go to a true 5* experienced home where he will stay for life either as a family pony to be passed down or an adult rider. I will not sell him to just ibe passed on again and again every couple of years - sorry. It goes without saying we would like to stay in touch.

Please no time wasters, definitely no dealers and only get in touch if he is within your budget and you can give him a loving, experienced, lifelong home - home is by far most important. Potential homes will be vetted.

Please feel free to Whats App me to ask any questions or for more pics/videos (we have thousands!!!).
