We are looking for a first pony for my granddaughter to learn the ropes on and have lots of fun with. We are ideally looking for a pony that we can take hacking. We keep our ponies on a lovely quiet DIY yard with lots of off road hacking and all year turnout( our own field with our other 2 mares).

We are open to any age or type but the pony needs to be good on the ground and enjoy being fussed/ brushed. We don't mind a pony that needs a little extra care but strictly no laminitis or ponies that need to stand in all summer, we like ponies to be ponies and spend time out grazing during winter and summer.

Happy to be in regular contact with owner and for visits anytime.

Deposit has been taken after the first viewer came this morning. My phone has not stopped and have been totally inundated so I apologise if I haven’t got back to you.
We wish Roo and Willow the happiest of wishes for their next chapter together.

Heartbreaking sale of the most wonderful pony! Cairngorm Commando 12hh grey sec A gelding.

He has been in the family for 4 yrs, previously owned by my sister and after searching forever, I purchased him last year for my 7 year old to have fun when her pony had to unexpectedly retire. My daughter has now moved onto my sons pony so Roo now needs to go and teach another little tot to ride.

At 19yrs Roo has been there and got the t-shirt and that’s why I bought him. I needed something to give my daughter confidence jumping as he will jump anything put in front of him. Roo has previously been to hoys on the Leadrein and wow he can still move. He sits and goes and does the most beautiful show. Last summer we went to the veteran championships, winning all his classes and taking Emily into all evening performances with no work, calmers or plugs! He truly was amazing. Whilst he can move, he will go as steady or fast as the leader asks him to go. He does not mind tiny tots learning to up downs and has regularly been used for their friends to have ride on when over for play dates, all of them getting off with huge smiles on their faces.

He took Emily to pony club camp last summer off lr and I couldn’t believe it when she came back telling me everything she had jumped! He has completed all that is ever been asked of him although he can be lazy off lr and therefore isn’t a fyfr for a tiny jockey. My daughter is a capable, gusty, tight rider and they have totally clicked- she was only 7 but is a good jockey. He has a very bouncy canter and wouldn’t be suitable off lr for a novice rider.

Roo loves his jumping but can get bored flat work and wouldn’t enjoy going around and around in the same arena everyday.

He is fab to hack and not bothered by any vechicles.

He is a very mannerly pony and stands like a rock to be shod, clipped and polished for the show ring! He can be a typical cheeky pony to catch but we leave his head collar on and take treats and this hasn’t been a problem. Roo in a previous life, was badly treated and can be nervous with new people until he trusts you.

Roo is very very loved and will not go to just any home. Emily is too big on the lr and after being told the picture isn’t there by judges, Roo now needs to find a new home. We are heartbroken to be saying goodbye to this unicorn of a pony!

Homes will be throughly vetted as this pony is very special to us and owners must stay in contact with us. We have tones of photos and videos of Roo which can be sent after serious enquires!

Please no time wasters as this is a heartbreaking sale for the whole family.

Milky is a super sweet light weight cob. She’s so fun and easy and always wants to please.

In the school milky is green due to mainly been used for hacking and on the lead rein in a riding school.

She happily pops a small course of fences including fillers. She’s not spooky at all. She happily jumps up to 70/80cm.
Shes easy in open spaces alone or in company, never strong or silly and always ridden in a snaffle. Happily pops little logs or ditches out hacking. She has previously hunted.

She happily lives in or out , with mares and geldings. Shes not mareish and Currently stabled at night.

She would make a small adult or child very happy. Would suit pony club, riding club, low level all rounder or happy hacker.

Milky is currently a bit fluffy and out of work due to owners been away in Spain for 3 months. This is reflected in her price. She is up to date with teeth, feet , vaccinations etc.

Good to load, travel, clip, load and shoe.

Super genuine 13.2 Irish mare on livery. At only 5 years old Jemima is one of the easiest and most genuine ponies you could meet. An old head on young shoulders with the benefit of never being taught any bad habits.

Snaffle mouth and really does take it all in her stride. Caught, groomed, hosed, tacked up and loaded by children. She’s been hacked in traffic, over the m25, woods, open spaces and on the beach. Done local sj and schooled xc where she was bold and honest.

Happily trots round a course of x poles so will suit a child just starting out who doesn’t want to outgrow in size or ability any time soon. She has a lovely jump on her and with more mileage could well go on to do bs. Make a super pc pony too.

Super Sweet Dressage / Show Pony

  • Excels in flatwork / dresage

Sweet natured pony who is sadly outgrown.

We have had this pony for 2.5 years and during this time there isn’t much we haven’t done with her. Pony club rallies to beach rides to dressage to pony racing. Nothing seems to phase this pony.

She happily hacks alone or in company - leading or following and never spooks or ever had an issue with traffic. Will happily stand in the corner of a field whilst others gallop away. Will do both in riding and leading.

She has excelled with her flatwork. In 2023, she reached the Pony Club Championship dressage finals and also British Dressage Quest Intro Finals at Arena UK. She also did some low level showing, not being bothered by anything in or out of the ring.

She is approx. 6 weeks into being brought back into work after having a brief winter break and is getting ready to progress with her preliminary dressage.

She can jump but it is not her strong point. We have jumped her 1m but she is more comfortable with upto 50cm. My daughter has still been able to be included in pony club rallies / camp and she will happily pop jumps on fun rides, etc. She does not perform well jumping competitively – mostly results in eliminations due to refusals. This being said, she is not nasty or dangerous with the stops – just doesn’t seem to like jumping competitively.

She is currently unshod and has been for 18 months. Has previously had front shoes and was perfect for the farrier.

Is handled easily by my children (aged 12 -5), loves being pampered and will easily be tacked up and clipped by them.

She does suffer from sweet itch. However, I have easily managed this with a fly rug, managing turnout time, ensuring all sweat is washed off and managing diet. I have never medicated her for it.

Up to date with worming and teeth.

Please no time wasters – this is not the pony for you if you are wanting to jump competitively.

She is a very genuine pony who deserves a loving home and is ready to be pampered by her next little jockey.

Based Wales / Shropshire Border
