  • Exceptionally safe with tiny children – a true confidence-giving first pony
  • Proven in traffic, at busy shows & events – calm, reliable and unflappable
  • Kind, patient and easy to handle – loves grooming, fuss and attention

15 year old Welsh mare, approx 11.1hh, a genuine and hard-to-find safe first pony for very young children.

She is an absolute saint on the ground and will happily stand for hours to be groomed, fussed and pampered by the smallest of children. A true confidence giver and the type you can trust completely for little ones to learn around safely.

A proven lead rein – steady, sensible and takes excellent care of her rider. Perfect for first rides and building confidence. Not a top level competition pony, but invaluable for a child starting out / local shows.

Experience:
• Loves hacking and is excellent in traffic
• Unfazed at busy shows and events
• Has taken part in fancy dress and fun rides
• Used to children and a busy environment

Manners:
• Good for farrier (barefoot), dentist and to clip
• Good with the vet (just prefers a confident adult handling her)
• Loads well in a lorry, needs a bucket for a trailer but travels well and will stand all day at a show alone or in company

Management:
• Needs restricted grazing in summer months, has had laminitis in previous home which wasn’t disclosed to us. Easily managed with exercise and restricted grazing.
• Happy to live in or out, alone or in company

Ideal home:
A family looking for a safe, kind and genuine first pony where children can learn to handle, groom and ride with confidence.

Not suitable for a serious competitive home – she excels as a safe, steady child’s pony rather than a performance pony. We are selling her as lead rein only as that is all she has done in her 4 years with us.

A very sad sale of a much-loved pony – only available because children have given up riding and must go to the very best home.

Genuine Fun Pony

13.1hh 10 yrs extremely kind and honest, loving family pony who is looking for the very best of homes where she can continue to give confidence, love and win rossettes for her new family. She is established in all spheres and offers a genuine fun ride, suitable for both adults and children as she takes up the leg well making her suited to all family members.

A fantastic first or second pony club pony but isn’t a plod, she works off the leg so would be a peg to much for a child that’s going to burst into tears if she trots forward when asked , a real professional in all activities, a brilliant confidence giver to get a child jumping from cross poles to 90cm , she is great both showjumping and cross country and was previously a fantastic hunting pony who has hunted with young children and adults alike. She is a cracking push button ride, combining “ not too fast “ with equally “ not too slow” and is ridden with a snaffle at all times. Well schooled , and loves doing pairs , Hunter trials, unaffiliated jumping etc, has the scope and honestly to low level BSJA too! She loves to jump both SJ and XC and never stops .

To hack out she is as good as you will find, you name it, lorry’s , buses , tractors, farm machines, dogs, bikes , motorcycles, this little lady will not blink an eye !

To handle she is an angel, catch, farrier, travel, bath, grooming.

5 stage home for this precious girl

Heartbreaking sale of Rodney. He is a true child’s pony, perfect for someone coming off leadrein and ready to go into the first ridden classes.

He has taken my daughter from a very nervous leadrein jockey who had her confidence badly knocked and turned her into a confident rider, taking her into the ring safely.

Rodney had been placed well in HOYS qualifiers and RIHS qualifiers always coming home in the ribbons, as well as local level shows.

I trust him implicitly to take her into the ring safely, he looks after his jockey and often has a 5 year old riding him round.

Rodney is good to do in all ways and my daughter handles him on the ground by herself. He has a life height certificate, is fit and ready to go out and compete for the rest of the season.

Rodney would also be quite happy to have a quiet life at home. He loves hacking, will jump and generally just having fun.

We are only letting him go due to my daughter being out of class at the end of the season and she has a new pony which is the next step up for her to concentrate on for the rest of the year.

Absolutely no time wasters as this is extremely hard for my daughter.

I have hundreds of photos and videos available for anyone genuinely interested.

He is priced at high four figures.

Based in Woodford, Cheshire.

11.3, 4 year old, beautiful inside and out.

She has had the very best start, seeing and doing much. She has a natural boldness and a quiet attitude to everything.

Rides on or off the lead rein and happy to dink around the school with a small child in all 3 paces. Hacks all day alone or in company - not bothered with dogs under her legs. Will cross water, ditches, styles and open farmland happily.

Very much an unflappable type and is an absolute star of the future in any sphere.

We have completed long distance rides, showing, arena eventing, mini SJ, hound exercise, lots of hacking and various arena hires - all of it taken in her stride. She adores jumping.

Has just had teeth, back, feet, wormer and clip.

An absolute favourite with my daughter.

Many people can vouch for this pony, she is golden. No time wasters

  • She has the foundations in place to be the perfect child’s pony
True mountain pony type with the prettiest head, balanced conformation, clean limbs and active, free movement across all three paces.

Our lovely Flossy has excelled at everything we have asked of her. With my youngest daughter on the lead we had a busy and successful 2025 season competing in ridden showing, working hunter pony, hunter trials, SJ and even handy pony. She has behaved beautifully in the ring, producing mannerly shows when required, or happily upping the pace for a competitive round when showjumping against the clock! She is willing, quick to learn, forward-thinking and loves a job.

At home she has introduced my daughter to riding off-lead, trotting round poles and cross poles, obstacle courses and hacking through our fields and down the lane. She’s put up with wobbly moments while perfecting up-downs and first canter strides on the lunge, and has stood patiently whilst being poked and prodded, brushed backwards and for those awkward first attempts at picking out feet.

My eldest daughter (10) has also taken her to arena hires, xc and show jumping where she has been bold, brave and super fun competing up to 50cm, and popping the odd bigger fence at home. Not in the slightest spooky, she has jumped water trays, fillers, coloured poles, xc fences, ditches, steps and splashes happily through water. She has untapped potential in WHP classes for a competitive little jockey (Tiny tots, Cradle Stakes, M&M etc) with her beautiful natural jump.

Whilst mostly showing at local level, Flossy was 3rd in the one LIHS LR Working Sports Pony we entered - in a ring full of top class combinations. I have no doubt she would be a competive prospect for STARS, LIHS and the Burghley WSP class.

She has been introduced to fancy dress, handled regularly by children, loves being groomed and fussed and is very low maintenance. She has been regularly ridden bareback, in a headcollar, vaulted on, surrounded by dogs, sheep, poultry and has the foundations in place to be the perfect child’s pony.

Never sick or sorry, marches out of her stable every day and is very easy to have around. No health issues, fit and well. Good as gold for the farrier, clipping, bathing and up-to-date with dentist, physio and vaccinations. Loads and travels like a dream.

Will come with bridle and her rugs. Black Country worker saddle available by separate negotiation as bought new last summer. Also full Le Mieux Wisteria set available if interested as this was “her colour”!!

We seek a knowledgeable and loving family home. I ask that no novices express interest due to her age and stage. She is not fully established as a FYFR as still low mileage and needs clear guidance from her rider, but is a truly lovely little family pony with so much to give.

Phonecalls preferred. Hundreds of photos and videos of all we’ve done together. Private yard with ménage in Derbyshire for viewings and we are in no rush as best home for her is of the utmost importance to us all.

Beautiful 12.2hh Liver Chestnut Mare – 5 Years Old

A lovely 5-year-old, 12.2hh liver chestnut mare looking for her next little rider to enjoy and love.

She is a quiet, laid-back pony who is very quick to learn and takes everything in her stride. She has a genuine willing attitude and really wants to please, making her a pleasure to work with.

She is handled daily by children and has been ridden solely by a 9-year-old, proving herself to be kind, sensible, and reliable. She hacks both alone and in company, and is great in open spaces with no fizz — my daughter regularly hacks her out on her own with confidence.

She loads and travels well and has been out to a couple of shows where she has behaved foot perfect every time. She has also attended BD training camp, where she settled in straight away and behaved impeccably throughout.

She has no vices, is easy to bath and plait, and will happily pop a fence, although this is not something we have pushed as my daughter’s interest is not in jumping.

She is happy to turn out alone or in a mixed herd and is equally content to live in or out.

Fully vaccinated and wormed. Up to date with farrier and physio.
Tack included.

This is a very sad sale, only due to my daughter prematurely moving on to a bigger pony.

A genuine, much-loved pony looking for the perfect next home.

  • Barnie would become your childs next best friend, loves attendtion and being part of the family!

Barnie has come second in a ridden pony show a couple of years ago.

He did the east kent 9.5 mile sponsonered ride yesterday and was brilliant so all fit and ready for fun this summer.

He has done a bit of jumping at home over little fences and small little logs.

He has done lots of hacking over the last 3 years and lessons in school.

He has potential to be a hunting pony or a pony club pony.

He is brilliant on the lunge and have taught children on the lunge with him . He also long reins well.

He isn't strong and just needs a kick to go and has a nice rhythmn to his work.

I have had him since he was 2 years old. I have had a local girl ride him over the last 3 years and he has taught her to ride. Would suit a 8 - 11year old depending on their size. The local girl is 14 years old now but she is petit and she still loves riding him but she is moving on to a bigger pony now.

Only being sold due to my cicumstances, only be sold to the right home.

He has had Lami in the past but caught quickly really good now. Just needs experienced home to manage him.

Good to load, feet trimmed, for the dentist, just needs sedation for clipping.

He comes with tack and rugs.

Coppice Fieldfare

We have only owned Flash for 12 months but in that time he has given his little rider much success. He has won and been placed at dressage, showjumping and showing. He has attended pony club rallies and always been good fun.

The pinnacle of my daughter’s season was competing in Stars at Aintree where they won an award in the best turned out. He took the atmosphere all in his stride.

His little rider has now grown enough to take the reins on her sisters old pony and so Flash is being left in the field and he’s too good to just be a field ornament.

Knowledgable home sought for this super little Shetland.

I SPY

Unfortunately the time has come to find my little nemo a new home. It’s time for him to go out and show the world what he’s made of and have some fun with a child. He’s currently out of work, wouldn’t take much to get him back into work at all - my youngster has just been broken in and taking up all my time hence the sale, just lack of him which he deserves.
Nemo is a 12.2 piebald, 8 year old cob.

Over the years we have had so much fun together and done everything including:
- Hacking (alone/company/front/behind)
- Showjumping
- Cross country (competition/schooling)
- Beach ride
- Sponsored rides
- Natural horsemanship camp (groundwork)
- Pony camp
- Pole work
- Long reining
- Showing (in hand/ridden)
- Gridwork
- Lunging/double lunging
- Free schooling/jumping
- Pub hacks
- Hacking with a bike
- Dressage
I have documented his whole journey on my Facebook page under the album ‘Nemo’ where there is hundreds of photos and videos. References available.

He’s been ridden by all ages, and is happy to go on/off lead rein when needed. With incredible manners on the ground. He is also happy to ride and lead. Absolutely bomb proof in all traffic, happy to lead past the biggest of traffic.
Nemo is also an angel to travel, trailer or lorry… load first or last.

Nemo has mane and feather to die for… placing first in best coloured and qualifying for hickstead. He’s a real quality stamp of cob with some lovely comments from showing professionals. He has recently had his mane chopped for maintenance during the winter. He can be a little unsure about his feathers being brushed out and can fidget but with a second pair of hands of someone holding him telling him he’ll be okay he stands.

Schooling/in the school he is established in walk and trot but the canter is green, due to his age I haven’t pushed or rushed him in the school but it wouldn’t be hard to get the canter going more due to being a quick learner and always wanting to please - he’s more than happy to canter following someone out hacking.

He previously spent 2 summers on livery with me where I work where he had so much fun. We spent hours hacking over 100 acres of land alone and in company, bareback in the summer and is perfect in open spaces.

Stables beautifully, super clean in the stable and manners to die for in/out the stable. Comes in alone and won’t make a fuss, happy to lead with another horse no matter the size, or in a 3.
He also completed summer camp with a couple of little girls where he did all activities with them.

Nemo has had the winters off with me, due to wanted him to mature correctly and spend time just being a young pony. This has done him the world of good. Has come back into work each time after time off like he never had time off.

He’s been clipped twice with me which he was great about, one bib clip and one full body out apart from legs - couldn’t part with his feathers! he was super!

Nemo does have fleshy mouth which is soothed with the correct bit (peewee bit) and gentle hands while riding. He has two wolf teeth which he hasn’t had removed has as not causing any problems.
He is dominant in the field, would suit individual turnout or with another pony who will stick up for themselves.
He wears a nose net to help with the pollen, more so in the summer but I have kept it on all year round and it has helped his nose flick.

More than happy to answer any questions anyone has, I can’t stress enough how wicked this little pony is, and is he was bigger he wouldn’t be going anywhere. I want the best for him and that means letting him go.
Looking for a 5* home and all potentially buyers will be asked for references.
Many photos/videos available! Based 10mins from Gatwick.
Can come with bridle which already has his peewee bit on and his rugs at extra.

I am looking for a kind and safe First Ridden pony for my small 7 year old daughter. She is riding off the lead. She is very keen, but not very confident and needs a really safe, steady pony to show her the ropes. Absolutely no bucking, rearing, napping or taking off.

We want to hack, do PC, local shows and hunt. Ideally we would like to have the pony on trial for a short period.

The pony will be kept at home with other ponies and horses and will want for nothing. I can cater to most health conditions. Younger siblings and cousins waiting to take the reins when my daughter outgrows the pony.

Good budget for the right pony. Based in South West, will travel for the right pony.

Berry is amazing as a lead rein pony, off the lead rein she would need a confident rider as she can be a bit cheeky by wanting to go to words the arena gate, etc! Once she’s told that she’s not allowed to do that she is brilliant and will do whatever’s asked.

Great to lunge and perfect on the ground. She likes to have a friend with her, if she’s tied up by herself she can get quite fidgety but she soon settles.

Very sadly outgrown, been there done it, perfect confidence giver. 127.50cm (LHC) Welsh Section B gelding.

We’ve had Gleam for 3 years and has sadly been outgrown. Gleam doesn’t act or look 25, he’s in great condition, never had any health issues and enjoys having a job to do and would love the opportunity to make some more children as happy as he’s made ours.

Gleam has done a bit of everything since we’ve had him including going to the gallops, beach, cross country, fun rides, show jumping and dressage. He’s always so well behaved and is the sweetest pony on the yard.

Gleam will live in or out, is barefoot and good for the vet, dentist, farrier and to clip. Vaccinations are up to date.

Gleam will happily trot round a course of cross poles on or off the lead rein. On the flat Gleam has a lovely steady, comfortable canter but does get a bit fizzy and excitable when cantering over poles and jumps. Therefore we think he’s a 1.5 pony or first ridden for a confident child. No matter how excited he gets, he always stops when asked, he’s such a genuine pony.

In his younger days Gleam was a competition pony and jumped some big tracks but since we’ve had him, he has shown he’s not interested anymore and will stop when the jumps get higher than 60cm. Although he might not want to jump big jumps anymore, he still loves to go round the smaller courses. He also loves hacking and is very good in open spaces.

This is a very sad sale as he’s very much loved so would like to stay in touch with new owner.

A genuine step-up pony, offering more than a typical first ridden—ideal as a confident child’s “1.5 pony.”

He began his career as a valued polo pony, educating young riders, before transitioning into a successful Pony Club and working equitation pony, competing nationally with success.

17-year-old black gelding who has been with us for the past three years. During this time, he has taken part in Pony Club rallies, dressage, showjumping (up to 40cm), arena eventing, and working equitation.

He is an honest, steady jumper who produces a consistent round, without over-jumping, but will step up when asked. He is well-schooled in working equitation obstacles, confidently tackling bridges, water, gates, and is comfortable using the vara.

He has accompanied us on challenging family holidays, including trekking through tough terrain, dense woodland, and among herds of stallions, mares, and foals—always behaving impeccably. He has also participated in working equitation displays.

He has attended multiple stay-away shows and is happy hacking both alone and in company.

Good to catch, shoe, box, and clip, and is sensible in traffic.

More “kick than pull”, always ridden in a snaffle.

Only for sale as he has sadly been outgrown.

Castlemeadow Kathryn
Allrounder Rising 10yrs Unregistered Section A type.

Unfortunately my 6yr old son is not really into riding, we have persevered to see if he does want to ride and our pony has progressed into a super pony club pony but my son prefers bikes. We’ve done all different pony club activities:-
Shows
 PC Rallies
 Gymkhana Games
Poles/ Showjumping competitions - won 2026 Sunshine Tour Qualification 30cms SJ.
Hacking - including Forest & Beach Rides
 Hunted (in previous home).

We’ve mainly done lead rein and assisted (I run beside) we’re progressing to be being off lead and Katie is very good with him but she does need some direction. I’m not selling as a proven ‘first ridden’ and she’s done nothing nasty, I think she will progress with a family or child that really wants to do it. I would love her to go to a family with siblings as I think she would cover most disciplines, she needs to do more but I have no other children to ride.
Katie has been ridden by older children, to bring on her schooling. She will jump a course on her own, we’ve jumped upto 50cms. She’s brave not spooky, will jump fillers and walk over matts, fake water, plastic, handy pony things.
She’s good in all ways, may take a little while to bond but when she does, she’ll be your best friend. Good to lunge.
Not mare ish, has lived in mixed herd.
She is a petite pony, I’d like her to go to a home where she would have a stable, she’s used to going out day time but she’s not a hardy type to be out 24/7.
She’s a bit nervous to clip but I can do it without sedation, some nuts and kindness and she gets better every time. Had Teeth done recently & up to date with Vacs/ Farrier.
Based in Suffolk (East Coast A12).

Chequito is a great pony with a bright future ahead of him.
He has proved to be safe and sensible. Has been brought on slowly and carefully.

Handled by kids daily. Currently ridden by 10year olds to teens. Absolutely loves his hacking. To hack out alone he has been hacked out by children and is a very safe confidence giver. Not fussed by any traffic. Hacks alone and great in open spaces.
If in a group he is not for children and does have some spunk

Not been over jumped, but will happily pop a jump (has jumped with a 10 year old).
He is happy to be left alone. Doesn't get fizzy, can be left for a week and jump on and he doesn't change.
Needs more schooling in his canter, nothing nasty but will throw a buck.
Loves a pamper and stands quietly to be groomed and tacked up by children.
Loads and travels like a dream.
Barefoot
Great with farrier
Great to clip ( stood in an open feild with no head collar)
Currently lives out 24/7 but has come in before.

A real eye catcher type

Lots of pictures and videos.
