Cassie, 12.2 13 year old Welsh B Mare

There are not many on the market like this beautiful lady. She has the looks, the nature and the ability.

Cassie has came to us about 5 weeks ago for sales livery. She has given her jockey confidence in the saddle but sadly the set up just did not suit her as she likes other ponies for company. She enjoys being turned out with friends and also loves a cozy stable, Cassie would live in or out as long as she has company, rugged up and hay. Before her current home she was in the same home for 8 years teaching their children and being a beloved pet.

She enjoys the company of people and has no vices on the ground or in the saddle, she is a pony so even though she is fabulous and super for little people she still needs her jockey to give her a bit of leg and be her partner now and then, but will do her wee job all day long.

She will do lead rein right up to second ridden and will excel as a starter jump pony to take her new jockie up to 60 all day long and would jump bigger with the correct little rider.

Good to clip, load, travel, hack alone or in company and is bare foot. She is a much loved pony and this shows through her personality.

  • Black Roan
  • Gelding
  • 4 years
  • 14.2 hands
  • No vices, blemish’s, etc
  • Mature way beyond years
  • Fab to hack and in traffic

Super cute Registered 14.2hh 4yr old roan Welsh D Gelding, Storm is super easy to have on the yard, he’s excellent to catch, load, handle, in and out of stable and turned out with geldings without been nasty or bolshy.

Despite Storms age he is mature way beyond his years, he hacks alone or in company, he’s great in traffic, doesn’t get excited about much, crosses the M62 without even flicking an ear and is just an all round cool and easy going guy.

His schooling work has obviously been limited, but he is one of them ‘once in a lifetime’ horses that has ‘been here before’ and just takes everything in his stride.

He is consistently working on a contact, light in the hand, not strong or silly. He’s nice from the leg without been sharp.

Up to date with dentist (had wolf teeth removed) and farrier (urgently barefoot with strong hard feet)
Clean legs, no vices, no sarcoids/ blemishes,

Someone will be so lucky to have him in their stable.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.
