I don’t even know where to start with this advert.

She has been a part of our family for a long time now and she is the most perfect pony anyone could wish for.

She is fine with all the usual stuff from farrier to teeth to being out in a herd to hacking alone in company past lorries motor bikes she loads easily comes off the other side like she’s always been there.

She has taught numerous people to ride and at the same time taken me XC she Is one in a million

Beautiful active allrounder

Ref #: 391828
  • Wonderful temperament, great with children and adults alike.
  • Genuine schoolmaster, ideal for young teenager that she can help step-up.
  • Great to hack, loves to jump and enjoys flatwork.

  • Wonderful temperament, great with children and adults alike.
  • Genuine schoolmaster, ideal for young teenager that she can help step-up.
  • Great to hack, loves to jump and enjoys flatwork.

Stepol Northern Dancer “DANCER”, beautiful bay 14.2hh allrounder, Welsh section D mare who loves to be active. 16 years’ old and a genuine schoolmaster, she is great with children of all ages and adults alike but would thrive with a young teenager that she can help step up. She is easy to groom and tack-up with an excellent temperament, great to hack either alone or in company, is good around cars, and loves to jump up to 1m comfortably and has occasionally jumped up to 1m20 single fences. She enjoys flatwork but does not have much experience in dressage, however, would make for a beautiful dressage pony.

She is good to travel, but can sometimes be reluctant to load if she doesn’t travel regularly or isn’t familiar with box/trailer. She has been to multiple farm rides, non affiliated show jumping competitions, cross country events, arena hires and gallops and has thrived in all areas. She is not strong and has exceptionally good breaks so is only ridden in a snaffle with no flash required. She was also previously part of a Pony Club at a riding school.

For the last couple of years, Dancer has generally only been ridden for non-competitive pleasure but can easily be brought back up to a competing level.

She was bought for 11-year-old daughter and has done well with her for the 5 years we have owned her, only deciding to sell due to a change in circumstances and time commitments. Dancer is a low maintenance pony, who typically lives out from March through to the end of October with no issues. She prefers life living out and only gets brought in at night during the winter months due to requirements of the livery she is on now but would be happy to live out all year round.

She has never bucked, reared, or kicked people during our ownership, however, does experience mild crib biting after she is given treats or is in the stable for prolonged periods, no health issues have been identified by her vet.

An absolutely wonderful pony ideal for first time or experienced owners alike.

• Vaccinations and worming up to date
• Microchipped
• Good to clip (has been in winter for past 3 years)
• Good to shoe (every 6 weeks and only has front 2 on currently)
• Tack and rugs available on request. PoA
• Open to vetting

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

 Princess Lexie – A Once-in-a-Lifetime, Coloured 12-Year-Old Mare, 14.2hh
A true schoolmistress • Confidence giver • Mother’s dream

Princess Lexie is exactly what her name suggests — an absolute princess and a rare gem of a horse. At 12 years old, this beautifully marked coloured mare has proven herself time and time again to be a one-in-a-million partner for riders of all ages and abilities.

? Temperament & Handling

Lexie is an angel in every way. She has the kindest, sweetest nature and is a complete pleasure to have on the yard. Her manners are impeccable — quiet and easy to shoe, box, catch, clip, ride, and handle in all situations, including busy traffic and new environments. She has a wonderfully willing temperament and shines brightest when she is building confidence in her rider.

Ridden regularly by novice students, Lexie takes everything in her stride. She is calm, forgiving, and always looks after her rider, even in tricky moments. The epitome of safety and steadiness, she truly is a confidence giver and an ideal mother–daughter share.

Riding & Performance

Princess Lexie is a true schoolmistress with experience across multiple disciplines:

• Cross Country:

Her absolute favourite job! Lexie loves XC — always taking every jump in her stride, always honest, and always eager. She has a natural enthusiasm for fences, takes everything on with pricked ears, and always makes sure to carry her rider safely to the other side.

• Show Jumping:

Schooled over coloured poles and happily jumping up to 80cm here. She would be the perfect pony to take a child from cross poles to more technical courses with confidence and fun.

• Flatwork:

Beautifully schooled on the flat, with three balanced, expressive paces and a super straight way of going. She has the presence and movement to shine in show classes.

• Hacking & Pleasure Riding:

A dream hack — relaxed, reliable, and unfazed by traffic. Happy to go out alone or in company.

• Previous Experience:

Has hunted, taken part in hunter trials, and enjoyed pony club activities. She is versatile and willing, making her suitable for almost any loving home.

? Conformation & Type

Lexie is extremely well put together — a proper model of a mare with good bone, substance, and an eye-catching coat pattern. She is beautifully marked and stands out wherever she goes.

Ideal Home

She would be an outstanding fit for:

A novice rider
A mother–daughter share
A riding school looking for a safe, quality mare
A pony club home
A fun, happy-hacking home
A family searching for a trustworthy, kind partner

Lexie has no stable vices, is open to any vetting, and comes with complete peace of mind.

Top Class Allrounder – Kind & Talented rising 5yo Class 1 Connemara Mare

Introducing Sophie, a stunning rising 5-year-old Class 1 purebred Connemara mare, standing at 14.2hh. Sophie is the definition of a traditional Connemara pony—she has a leg in each corner, a beautiful head, a kind eye, and a calm, generous nature that makes her a pleasure to work with every day.

Sophie has the ideal temperament for a novice rider, a riding school program, a mother-daughter share, or a young rider wanting to do a bit of everything. She is sweet, steady, and exceptionally quiet, both to handle and to ride. Her laid-back attitude and genuine nature make her the kind of pony that gives confidence and always tries her best.

Under saddle, Sophie is nicely schooled with three balanced paces and a lovely rhythm. She works in a soft outline and listens well to her rider. Over fences, she really shines—she has a super jump with a careful, tidy technique that would make her an excellent working hunter or Pony Club allrounder. She is honest and uncomplicated to a fence and is equally bold and sensible out cross-country, where she never looks at a thing.

Sophie’s kind and willing attitude make her an ideal candidate for Pony Club, working hunter, or family use, and she has the temperament to suit a wide variety of riders. Whether you’re looking for a safe and straightforward pony to learn on, or a quality young mare to produce further, Sophie ticks every box.

She comes from excellent traditional Connemara bloodlines, by Tullaree Hawk (a son of the legendary Dexter Leam Pondi), out of a mare by Bobby Joe, with Garryhinch Finn also in her pedigree—names known for producing performance ponies with sound temperaments and quality conformation.

Sophie has no stable vices, passed a recent 5-stage vetting, and is open to re-vetting for serious buyers. Her price includes delivery to your yard anywhere in the UK, and if she’s not the perfect match, we offer an exchange policy for peace of mind.

Take a look at her video to see just how lovely and genuine Sophie is. For more information, feel free to call 00353868077626 or email gertytynan@gmail.com. This kind and talented mare is ready to find her forever home.

Beauty is a kind, genuine 15 yr old mare.

She has been in the same home for 7 years, and genuinely outgrown. We have had her for the summer to have some fun on and build my god daughters confidence but very sadly she is now looking for her next long term family home.

She is an uncomplicated ride, not a total first pony as she is fairly forward going but she isn’t a buzzy pony, she’s never bucked or reared, she doesn’t get silly, she is just fairly forward off the leg and need constant nagging to go! That said she’s not fast unless you make her go! She is a fairly sporty model so can be competitive if asked!

She is always ridden in a snaffle and has excellent brakes! She has a very soft mouth and her riders do not feel out of control or worried. She has been ridden by novice nervous friends.

She is best suited to a rider who can already trot and canter and now wants to get out to pony club and local shows and have fun. She would happily take you round the NSEA showjumping and help to get a little person confident and out competing.

Last weekend she had a 1st and a 2nd Arena Eventing with a new rider who borrowed her for competition experience. She is super chilled in the warm up and does not need hours of working in. She has a scopey jump and comfortable pops round 75cm and will go bigger with a capable rider - she’s jumped over 1 metre 20 in chase me Charlie!

She has hunted, been on fun rides, beach rides, and various other things. She is good to hack alone and with others.

She lives in or out, despite being a quality type she happily winters out with rug on. No known health issues, is vaccinated and currently shod as we have stony hacking.

Loads and travels in anything! She is just a lovely loving pony to have around.

Needs a loving new home and smaller rider for her next chapter of adventures. She has stacks of personality and loves her humans and we are looking for the very best of homes for her.

She comes with her tack and loads of nice Amigo rugs. Price is negotiable as we would like to see her happy and loved in her new home not standing in a cold boring wintery field without the TLC and attention she really does deserve.

Hants/Wilts border with good trial facilities but happy to take to arena hire etc too

A very safe and sweet natured 1st or 2nd pony

Hetty is a super pony who will suit a variety of homes I think she would make a wonderful mother daughter share, a 1st pony or a 2nd pony. Her greatest strength is how safe she is to hack she regularly takes adults and children out through a busy village and down to the beach as well as on local fun rides and has done plenty of mountain hacking. For all she is heavier cob type she’s not at all lazy making her an easy ride for less experienced riders.

Hetty will pop over a log or small XC jumps out hacking and on fun rides but has not been a competition pony in life so far. I’ve no doubt she would be great for pony club camps and rally days with somebody happy popping around the little stuff.

Open to all viewings and vettings. Hetty has done well this summer and is slightly on te podgey side but we are taking her out regularly to combat this! No school at home so happy to take viewers out hacking or alternatively if how she is in a school is important we can organise to hire one.

She comes with a full wardrobe saddle, bridle, rugs etc and I can help with transport too.
