  • Perfect first pony, great for hacking, pc, xc etc
Lexi is a beautiful mare, such a sweet and genuine soul, can litterly go round in a head collar helmet less on her and trust her to behave, very been there done it type considering shes only 4.

Great to hack, she loves every part of it, not silly or strong when out in the open, can hack out alone or in company, very brave in heavy traffic. She is still slightly green due to her age but this doesnt affect her behaviour, sometimes she can pick up the wrong leg in canter or mess up her strides , but after doing it a again she’s great!

Could be suited to a child/teenager or even small adult, who likes to go out competing or cross country, pony club etc

She a gem to load and has been on horse boxes and trailers, loading every time to go out and about. Has been to cross country and not fazed by logs , tires etc. Great to clip aswell and stands perfectly, has recently just been clipped aswell ready for the winter, Perfect for farrier .

Great for kids to have fath around, i myself have sat underneath her, stood on her back, given her unexpected hugs from behind and she’s not fazed by it all. She’s good with dogs and wouldn’t mind their barking or running around, same with kids who might not be mindful of the horses she won’t bat an eyelid.

Id like Lexi to go to a loving home where she will continue to grow and thrive going forward. Happy to discuss anything more with potential buyers!

Very sad sale due to being outgrown. Violet has been with us for the last couple of years and taken Evie to her first bs shows. She has competed pony shows up to discovery and jumped at lots of different venues not being spooky.

We have taken her on the gallops and hacking. Been to stay away shows always behaving perfectly. Always loads and travels well on a trailer or lorry. Violet is great to clip, shoe, catch etc etc. She is honestly a parents dream pony, can safely be left with children to do absolutely anything.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

We can offer an experienced home for life with our other family ponies. We dont need a competition pony or anything really young and no greys. Based in Suffolk.

14.1, 12 year old Cob x Connie, confidence giver

Spike is my daughter’s world and we will be very upset to see him go, but he needs to go and find another jockey to have fun with/build confidence!

Spike was brought to build my daughter’s confidence when it was at rock bottom. He has more than done that! We want to find the best home so this is completely an honest advert and sale to get the perfect match.

* Definitely more woah then go!
* Great to hack out, you can ride him on the buckle end, not phased by any traffic, flappy bags, helicopters flying over, cows/sheep etc. happy to have a canter and a gallop in company always pulls up
* Snaffle mouthed at all times.
* Great to catch, greats you at the gate, whether turned out alone or in company
* Good for farrier, currently shod on fronts
* Enjoys show jumping, my daughter has been doing 60cm classes on him and has qualified for the sunshine tour. Has jumped a single fence of 90 but he is no world beater
* Loves cross country! Recently took part in team chase which they thoroughly enjoyed, remaining sane and sensible jumping 50/70 fences!
* Travels fine alone or in company, never any different in a show environment
* Easy to deal with in stable, lead (he will follow you like a Labrador), tack up etc etc.
* Yard favourite, very easy to deal with
* Good to be clipped
* Good to bath
* To load, he prefers a 3.5t but loads into trailer within a few minutes if alone or straight away with another. Travels like a dream. We currently travel in a trailer, mostly alone.
* He has taught my daughter how to actually ride! If you sit there and don’t do anything he won’t do anything, you do need to ride him, he won’t do it for you.
* He has historically had laminitis (never with us), this is easily managed with a muzzle and soaked hay.

We really want to find the perfect match. He is only for sale as my daughter has outgrown him (ability and size) so now is the time to try and find his perfect partner. He really is worth his weight in gold!

Ideal for a child to build confidence and have fun on or an adult wanting to hack/low level dressage. He is being schooled and showing some hidden talents in this area!

Serious enquiries only! Based Derbyshire.

Special home needed for this special little horse. This is a very sad sale of a boy who has given so much to a number of little riders and as a consequence has a special place in the hearts of many.

My daughter has now moved on to her forever horse and is sarting her GCSE's and we simply cant keep him for another winter.

We have owned Nibbles since 2019, but have known him since he was born. He is of Section C cob breeding but doesn't have the Welsh Pony & Cob Society green passport. My daughter had him when she 9 years old and for the past three years he has been on part loan to other little girls. During this time he has done a bit of everything - local dressage, show jumping, fun rides, hacking and cross county. He has placed top tier in local pony club shows, show jumping and prelim dressage. He

Jumps 80cm easily, takes ridder over and will give it a go, a real confidence giver for someone possibly coming off lead rein, the flip side of this is that with a bit more confidence from the rider he will easily go up a gear and jump 1m - and I do think there he has British Show Jumping Potential.

110% bomb proof ridden, never bucked reared or bolted or napped.

Needs some common sense handling on the ground as can pull towards grass and nibble for attention.

Currently on a mixed livery yard living in over the winter due to lack of grass - however he would happily live out all year round.

Easy to trim, clip and box.

Up to date on vaccinations and teeth.

Does not currently wear shoes, hasn’t needed them with us.

Please no timewasters - we want to find a knowledgeable home for Nibbles.

Denzel 15 years old 14 hh Gelding
Black and White Chunky Cob
Perfect Kids Pony or Mature Adult

SUPER SUPER SAFE
KIND, LOVING, SUPERSTAR

Denzel is the calmest, considerate, gentleman who always takes care of his riders. Ridden by tiny tots to small adults, great weight carrier with a good amount of bone.

Tonnes of experience and unbelievably safe. Ideal for a beginner, nervous rider or a rider who wants to progress and have some fun, he is super steady, calm and gentle in every way, he is super chilled but not a plod, even though he is super safe, he responds to the leg and has 3 excellent paces. He is extremely willing and will do anything you ask, even pops a small jump or log, he walks, trots and canters incorporating figures of 8, 3 and 4 loop serpentines.
He is a fantastic all-rounder.

This is a really fantastic pony for anyone to build up their confidence, learn to ride and continue to progress on.
Definitely a 1st and 2nd horse.

He really is a genuine pony who looks after his riders from small children to adults, teaching his riders to walk, trot, canter and jump.

15yrs schoolmaster

Exceptional gelding with tonnes of experience for sale. Has spent the last 5yrs in the same riding school where he has been ridden by complete novice, intermediate and advanced riders both children and adults. He has done all flat work lessons, privates and groups, with the same enthusiasm now as when he first started his riding school career. He is very genuine and loves to hack out, he doesn’t pull, rush, spook or get nervous of anything, he is the most loving gelding you could ever wish to meet, he is one of the favourite with our SEN children and adults, he participates in all our RDA lessons, hacks and stable management sessions.

Absolutely no vices, when ridden, in the stable or in the field and has brilliant manners enabling anyone to handle him safely and with ease, will stand for hours with no head collar or lead rope being groomed.

He has exceptional manners and ticks so many boxes for someone looking for a very safe easy schoolmaster, with no ifs or buts.

Denzel will hack out alone or in company in the heaviest of traffic without batting an eye lid. He is 100% safe, steady and collected when ridden in all paces across open fields, regardless of whether he is at the front or back of the ride or on his own, he will not rush or pull even on the way home. In the 5 years we have had him he has NEVER spooked, rushed been spiny or got fizzy.

Snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets.

He lives out in a mixed herd but is equally happy to be stabled, he keeps himself to himself and never causes any trouble despite being out with 30 other horses.
He is currently barefoot and has excellent manners with the farrier and could be shod if needed. he ties up anywhere, and loves attention.
He is excellent to catch, with the farrier and dentist.

Denzel will give confidence to any rider/ handler and could easily compete at riding club level, fun/beach rides.

He can go for months without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, he is extremely low maintenance, he maintains his weight all year round on grass and hay and Haylage during the winter months.
He has never been lame had laminitis, sweet-itch or sarcoids.

In the past 5yrs I can honestly say he has never been lame, sick or sorry, my vet can verify this, he has passed the riding school annual inspections with flying colours, this is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

Looking for a five star private home to give someone the opportunity to purchase a safe and very sensible horse, with so much to offer.

First to see will buy, he is one in a million and really can’t be missed.

Absolute heartbreaking sale but we like to change our stock around every 2 years to give our fantastic horses and ponies the opportunity to experience a one to one home again. Denzel is so good we have struggled finding a suitable replacement we have had him for 5 years and he is worth his weight in gold.
If you are looking for something super safe then look no further.

Max is a super smart pony.

He has attended numerous pony club rallies and fun rides with both of my children.

My daughter took him to PC Camp at the age of 7.

Max will pootle round a course of jumps at 40cm with a novice but will step up and jump higher when asked by a more confident and competent rider.

Max doesn’t buck, rear or bolt but he isn’t a complete dope and is responsive to aids.

He is good to hack out and will lead off another horse if required.

He will happily stand for hours to be fussed over, brushed, bathed etc by children.

Lives on fresh air, happy to live in or out. A very low maintenance chap!

Good for farrier, dentist and vet. Easy to load and travels well. Good to clip.

Max is up to date with vaccinations and has no known history of laminitis.

A loving 5* home is sought for this ultra kind, sweet natured little man
