12.3hh cob mare companion

Ref #: 340540
£950 ONO
  • Cob
  • Piebald
  • Mare
  • 11 years
  • 12.3 hands

My gorgeous girl is looking for her forever home, she has had a hard life before I found her, so finding the perfect home and person is extremely important to me and I’m in no rush at all. Homes will be vetted and I will not sell her unseen so please don’t ask.

I am looking for an experienced, kind and loving person who is offering a forever home where she can be a companion and a pet, I am not selling her as a ridden horse due to her past, I feel that she will be happiest being a pet.

She is 12.3hh, passported, microchipped, vaccinated, up to date with worming, teeth and farrier.

When she is settled and in a routine that she is happy with she is good to handle, will live in or out, comes to call, loves a fuss and is an absolute sweetheart. She has happily lived in all winter.

I’m looking for a very special person for my girl, it needs to be someone who is calm and consistent to give her the confidence that she needs. She is a very sensitive soul and does panic with change, so it needs to be someone who understands this and who is willing to hold her hand when she is struggling. Her insecurities are all down to her past life and in the year she has been with me she has come such a long way, I am now looking for someone to continue my quiet patient work to help her keep growing in confidence so she can finally live the life she deserves.

She did not travel well when she came to me and I haven’t travelled her since, I would prefer for her to go somewhere within or around an hour from us because of this and I am happy to cover the cost of having my vet come to sedate her so she can get to her new home safely.

When she is settled and happy she is such a lovely little lady and I know she is going to make someone very happy.

She is wary of men and needs a patient farrier but she is getting better with every trim and growing in confidence, she just needs to continue to have positive experiences with one and she will be fine with a little more time.

She currently turns out on her own but I do feel she would prefer to live with others. I do have another little mare also looking for a companion home and would be over the moon if they went together!

Finding her the right home is more important than price, but as said above homes will be vetted and I am in no rush, she will only leave me when I have found her perfect person and home. She is for sale only, sorry no loans.

£950 price is negotiable for the right home

Based East Yorkshire

Aggie arrived into our care as a transfer from Ireland having been initially rescued as part of a welfare case.

She is a sweet natured mare with lots of potential as a childs ridden pony! She has been lightly backed before arriving at Blue Cross with a confident small rider.

Aggie is still settling in and is progressing in all aspects of her general handling. She still has some worries in new environments and with new people.

She will require a confident small rider to bring out her full potential as a childs riding pony.

Super Connie who loves pleasure rides and hacking

Ref #: 341899
  • Loves to go exploring on long rides
  • Great for lead and ride
  • Great in Traffic

  • Connemara
  • Chocolate Dun

  • 9 years
  • 14.3 hands
  • Loves to go exploring on long rides
  • Great for lead and ride
  • Great in Traffic

Hi Ladies and gentleman . I’m Vinnie as you can see I’m a chocolate dun stud muffin.

Approx 150 cm of chunky hunky Connemara my dad was Ross fear bui, (he’s bit of a breeding legend ).

I’m on the look for a new mumma or dude. Someone who has been there done that knows horses . My perfect new match would love exploring the countryside and heading out on pleasure rides.

Dressage divas and Show jump superstar im not for you. Im rock solid in traffic. Love to pop the odd log. Just love exploring new places seeing the sites . I’m not a fan of going round and round in circles in that school thing , it just not my dream job. but don't mind the odd session.

I’m pretty intelligent you need to have a bit about you as if you’re too soft I’ll test out your skills, which means I’ll take you to a bush to find blackberry’s and giggle while I’m doing it , then see how long it takes you to pull me out . I don’t Do airs above the ground or anything far to much effort . My mother calls me one in a million and the best thing she has ever hacked, what ever that means. Lots of her friends have ridden me , some of them are nervous so I make sure I take good care of them.

I had a bit of inflammation in my suspensorys 1.5 years ago mother got me stabbed with steriods and some shockwave. Been hacking, long pleasure rides and light schooling since all hunky-dory. I've not needed treatment since. Being mentioned to be transparent, im sure most people wouldn't say.

I’m happy taking those little cheeky monkeys out on their ponies( mother calls it lead and ride ). Happy to head out solo or with my mates on a hack . Also don’t really stress when my mates head off in the field .

I’m generally a pretty laid back dude. If I’m going out for an exploration I’m better in a lorry or trailer without a partition .

I headed over from Ireland when I was four and been with my current mum since then . I’m nine now.

So if you think you might be my perfect match give my pa a message and she will start filtering the response to find my perfect home (she’s very particular and knows what I’m after a five star match, she’s want the best life for me so won’t waste anyone’s time if she’s thinks they aren’t right )

I currently reside Tiptree Essex

I have a fabulous saddle from bliss of London, that’s was made to fit me and I love it. But separate neg.

Piebald Cob Mare

Ref #: 342106
  • Fabulous to work around
  • Genuine soft nature
  • Happy Hacker alone or in company
£2,500 ONO
  • Cob
  • Piebald
  • Mare
  • 6 years
  • 14 hands
  • Fabulous to work around
  • Genuine soft nature
  • Happy Hacker alone or in company

This wonderful little mare would suit an experienced home, fabulous to work around with a genuine soft nature. A real gem. She has been with us for over 2 years. We have worked away with her slowly over the last 2 years and she is now a happy individual.

She has been out to local unaffiliated showing shows always in the ribbons as she is very pretty and flashy under saddle.

She has been in open spaces, hacking she will do all day, past the heaviest of traffic and not phased by others carrying on around her. She is a delight to own, very low maintenance, barefoot, lives on fresh air, kind nature can be handled by children.

She was bought to back and resell however it was clear when she arrived that she was not unbacked and that she had issues under saddle, mostly in the arena. This manifested in her running as soon as you got on board which is no longer an issue.

She is still a little speedy in the first few strides of the canter but has brakes and will settle with gentle hand and quiet rider. Someone could have so much fun on this little mare, she will give you her all and does not have a bad bone in her body. I just want her to get the person she deserves to love her on a one to one basis. we want her to continue to thrive as we have put in alot of work to get her to this stage.

Takes up the leg very well a real weight carrier as a chunky little monkey.

Please do not judge her that we have been open and honest about her past this is purely because I want her to find her perfect person. She is one in a million. Home is more important than price. Ready to go on and live her best life as someones best friend.

Bentley arrived into our care after his owner couldn’t care for him any longer due to personal circumstances, they decided he was best placed with Blue Cross to secure his future. He is currently based in a foster home awaiting his forever family.

He is an inquisitive young pony who would be looking for a home as a non-ridden companion due to being companion sound.

Bentley is still working on some basic handling so will require an experienced home to continue his training to be able to meet his routine care needs. He is still working on being comfortable enough to see the farrier.

He is happy to live out 24/7 or part stable with company. He has lived with mares and geldings and will thrive in a routine with a loving family.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Maisie is a 15 year old, 13.2hh traditional cob- looking for a forever home.

Maisie is easy to do in every way, we have owned her for the past 5 years and she has taught my 3 younger sisters how to ride.

She has also taken part in private riding lessons with those ranging from beginner to intermediate level - Maisie “changes gear” to suit the needs of others. She’s been a great confidence giver and is loved by those who have had the pleasure to ride her.

Maisie turns her hoof to any kind of work, including jumping, cross country, hacking and flatwork- she’s super safe on the roads, in groups of others or individually.

Maisie is easy on the ground as well, she’s a gem with the farrier, clipping, loading etc-

She has never shown any vices on or off the ground, she has been a lovely pony to have on the yard.

This is an extremely sad sale, so please- serious enquiries only.

Milford Sequin, very pretty and extremely well bred 12.3hh 15 year old coloured mare by chaps graded stallion Rhoden Sensation out of Milford Fairy Queen (Sec B, half sister to several HOYS ponies on the flat and WHP).

With us, she has participated in all Pony Club activities and has been competing successfully over the last year. She has done team showjumping (always in ribbons), lots of rallies, cross country, hacking and some mounted games (which she is great at), In previous homes, she has had great success in showing and in working hunter classes too (this is not our thing as we just really do Pony Club) as well as beach rides and riding club activities.

Sequin is a really willing pony who takes confidence from her rider and will be happiest in an active, experienced and varied home. Whilst she is fast and turns on a sixpence, she has never bucked or reared and she has great breaks. She is happiest with a child who has an independent seat and soft hands. She is sassy and fun and she will be your best friend. She is well behaved at shows and on the ground.

She is not a first ridden due to the fact she needs an established rider to get the best from her and vice versa.

She lives in or out and has been with mares and geldings. She is great with vet, farrier and to clip with no vices.

She is on sales livery with Helen Newman Moore near Cirencester GL7 area.

5* star home only as she is an extremely special girl.

Super little pony looking for his new best friend and new home

Easy and kind, loves children and is simple to manage and handle - little Tommy has been ridden and used by young children and is very kind and simple to manage.

He is easy for them to brush and groom, very gentle to lead around and he stands quietly when he is tied on the yard. Tommy has done plenty of hacking and has done a couple of our little shows with a novice.

He is a little star!

Very correct conformation. She is an exciting novice prospect for this season and a potential HOYS junior pony for the future.

Riding well and hacking out. Really enjoys her jumping and stylish over a fence.

Ready for someone to further her education.

A true kids pony

Gabby is a lovley quality up to height 12hh Dartmoor, she's related to some of the best performance Dartmoors around. Gabby has mainly been used as a lead rein were she just excels herself , there's nothing she won't do wether it's a show class , Showjumping , handy pony , games , gabby turns her hand to literally anything always with a smile on her face and a can do attitude .

She hacks out alone or in company is not spooky and safe in the heaviest of traffic . Gabby can be handled by the smallest of children and is easy to do anything with .

Gabby does go off the lead rein but needs a slightly more confident child when off the lead rein. She goes off your leg and goes lovley on the flat and pops round a course but she is more forward so I would say not FYFR.

Gabby really is the kindest pony you will meet and just loves life , she is looking for a new little jockey to go on adventures with and win lots of rossettes , she's open to any vetting or trial . A good home is a priority for this lovley little pony .

** Lola is still looking for her next best friend to go jumping with **

Due to a bigger pony on its way, we require the stable to so are open to sensible offers.

Lola is not a first pony but an amazing second pony with so much potential and would suit a confident rider not a novice. We have owned Lola for 3 years now and only for sale due to my daughter needs a bigger pony.

Lola has competed successfully in unaffiliated show jumping up to 85cm, XC schooled and competed in numerous showing shows placing every time. She has three lovely paces with scope to burn, this pony will really jump for her rider and definitely excels in the show jumping sector.

A knowledgeable home is needed as Lola can be a typical mare at seasonal times and she is a pony that needs regular work and a riding routing is key.

Lola is great to clip, shoe, box, catch etc and she is up to date with vaccinations, teeth, physio, worming and saddle check.

Videos and photos are available upon request.

This pony is much loved so a 5* home is essential.
