This beautiful pony has a temperament which is second to none. She is the kindest, sweetest, most gentlest pony you could ever wish to meet.

She has previously shown top level (hoys/ri) but I feel that she would now prefer to have a home where she can do lots of hacking and rc/dressage activities.

She is a forward going but an extremely safe ride. Beautifully schooled, with the most exquisite walk. Absolutely amazing in the heaviest of heavy traffic and she loves to hack alone or with company.

Very easy pony to do at home or at a show being very mannerly and polite.

Up-to-date with everything.

She is fit and healthy, never had an injury or illness during my ownership.

Would suit a mature lightweight lady who wants an elegant pony to hack, love and enjoy.

The correct long-term home is of utmost importance.

Searching For A Genuine Family Friend/Allrounder - To Enjoy Pleasure Rides, Clinics & Low Level Adventures

Ref #: 410902
  • Approx 15hh (Minimum Full Up 14.2hh, Up To 15.1hh) Age: 6 -13 yrs.
  • Lightweight Cob / Native Or Similar Type
  • Loving, Knowledgeable Family Home For The Right Horse - Happy To Keep In Touch
  • Approx 15hh (Minimum Full Up 14.2hh, Up To 15.1hh) Age: 6 -13 yrs.
  • Lightweight Cob / Native Or Similar Type
  • Loving, Knowledgeable Family Home For The Right Horse - Happy To Keep In Touch

I am searching for a trustworthy, best friend type to welcome to our kind, knowledgeable, family home. Our horses are treated as part of our family & they receive the absolute best of care. I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, due to ongoing health issues with my horse, who is now retired, I haven’t ridden as consistently in more recent years & so I am no longer as confident as I once was. Therefore, I am seeking a laid back, best friend type, who does not need riding most days to remain safe & sane (realistically, I will generally ride 3-4 times a week).

We will be enjoying fun hacks from home, attending organised pleasure rides, forest trips, XC schooling & some clinics. I will at times want to hack alone but will also hack alongside my young daughter on her (sometimes quirky!) horse, so it is especially important that I find a level-headed, trustworthy type who I can depend on. Due to us going out in our horsebox regularly, I would like to find a horse who is good to load / travel &, most importantly, who remains calm & polite to handle & ride in different environments.

Our horses are kept at home with us & have all year turnout (stabled overnight during winter). I would love to find a gentle natured, polite character & a true best friend type.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, when we do, it is often likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle. Therefore, it is hugely important that my new horse is confident around this type of traffic.

* I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ & that ‘bombproof’ does not exist & I am open to compromise, but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would want to have any potential horse vetted *

We are based in Norfolk so ideally looking for something in or around East Anglia but would travel further if plenty of info, videos/photos could be provided beforehand. I have a sensible budget & very relaxed & loving forever home for the right horse.

Wanted LWVTB

  • Temperament is more important than breed
  • 13hh - 15 2hh
  • RDA centre needing LWVTB/Loan
  • Temperament is more important than breed

We are looking for any breed for LWVTB as they will need to be trialled in our RDA environment before purchasing to see if they're suited to this lifestyle before a participant can ride them. This is as much for the ponies as the suitability for riders.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.

If you would like to check out our RDA centre we are online and Facebook as Elisabeth Curtis Centre.

THE PERFECT LITTLE HORSE– STUNNING, TALENTED & THE TEMPERAMENT TO MATCH

Ref #: 416937

  • Smart, athletic & brave with an exciting future ahead
£14,000 ONO
  • Connemara Part Bred

  • Gelding
  • 4 years
  • 15hh / 153cm
  • Exceptionally sensible & genuine young horse
  • Behaves like a pro at shows
  • Smart, athletic & brave with an exciting future ahead

Teddy is a quality 15hh 4-year-old grey dun Irish Sport Horse gelding, with the looks, temperament, ability and attitude to make a really exciting horse for the future.

He is an Irish Sport Horse with ¾ Connemara breeding, by King of the Road, out of Newgrange Dancer

Most importantly, Teddy has a fantastic brain and loving temperment

He has started his ridden career with a wonderfully sensible attitude and has taken everything we have asked of him completely in his stride. For a horse of only four, he is remarkably straightforward, willing and easy. He has a lovely soft snaffle mouth and is light from the leg making him a very easy ride, he always listens to you and try’s his best.

Teddy rides very nicely on the flat for his age. He is naturally balanced and athletic, with three good paces and a lovely trainable attitude.

He has been produced sympathetically by a lady amateur with his future in mind and hasn’t been rushed or overused.

What we particularly like about him is just how sensible and uncomplicated he is. Nothing faze him and he genuinely enjoys his work.

Wherever he goes, he takes everything in his stride and always tries his best.

He has already been out showjumping, where he went straight round and behaved like he’d done it all before.

He has a genuine, athletic jump, is naturally brave and doesn’t appear worried by anything put in front of him.

Cross-Country

Teddy has also been to several cross-country courses and has absolutely taken to it.

He is happily tackling proper natural fences with confidence and enthusiasm. He is brave without being reckless and approaches his fences with a lovely attitude.

There is a lot to like about him as a potential event horse, and he certainly has the ability and brain to progress as his education develops.

A Proper Young Horse for the Future

Teddy is exactly the type so many people struggle to find – 15hh, stunning to look at, sensible, genuine and talented, with enough quality to be competitive without being complicated.

He has already shown us that he has the attitude to cope with a competition environment, the bravery for XC and the trainability to continue progressing on the flat.

He could excel in any sphere, and we can see him making a particularly exciting event horse, showjumper, Working Hunter or high-end Riding Club horse.

Teddy is also exceptionally easy to do in every way. He is vice-free, has lovely manners on the ground and is good to catch, handle and load. He is the sort of young horse who is simply a pleasure to have around and makes day-to-day life easy and fun.

He has had a fantastic start without having too much mileage put on the clock. He is still only four, with his whole future ahead of him, and is ready for somebody to continue his education and make him their own.

Whether your ambitions are to event, showjump, compete in Working Hunter, enjoy Riding Club or simply have a quality horse to enjoy, Teddy has all the ingredients to become the perfect friend for the future – a horse to grow with, have fun with and make years of memories with.

Quite simply, the perfect little package – stunning, talented, genuine and blessed with the temperament to match. A very exciting young horse with all the ingredients for a seriously bright future and, most importantly, the potential to become someone’s horse of a lifetime.

Vice-free

Open to vetting

Mother & Daughter Share / Teenager’s All-Rounder for Sale

Choc-Ice

18-year-old Gelding

14.3–15hh

Essex

It is with a very heavy heart that we offer our much-loved Choc-Ice for sale. He is the ideal mother and daughter share, while also being a fantastic first horse for someone stepping up from ponies or a small adult looking for a genuine all-rounder.

We have owned Choc-Ice for 14 years, buying him as a 4-year-old when I was just 11 years old. He took me from ponies to horses and, more recently, has spent the last 4½ years on full loan, where he has done exactly the same for his current rider, taking her from her first pony onto horses. Sadly, she is now heading off to university and, with a young baby, I am unable to take him back into work, so we have made the heartbreaking decision to find him the perfect next home.

Choc-Ice is a genuine all-rounder who loves having a job. He schools nicely on the flat, produces a lovely dressage test, and has regularly jumped 80–95cm courses. He has attended Pony Club regularly, enjoying rallies, camps, and a variety of activities. He loves hacking and is always safe doing so. He can be enthusiastic when jumping/XC, but he is never nasty or dangerous and always snaffle mouthed.

At 18 years old, he has a wealth of experience and still has plenty to offer. He would be perfect for a family wanting one horse to enjoy together—whether that’s Pony Club, lessons, beach Rides, competitions, hacking, or simply having fun.

He is good to shoe, box, clip, catch and is a pleasure to own. Choc-Ice has a cheeky, affectionate personality and is loved by everyone who meets him.

This is an incredibly difficult sale, and finding the right home is our absolute priority. We will only let him go to a loving, knowledgeable home where he will continue to be cherished.

Essex based. Sold with tack & Full wardrobe.

In October 2020, he had both hind suspensory ligaments denerved. He was successfully rehabilitated and brought back into work, and this has not affected him since - no further treatment/management has been required.

Please message for more information, medical history, photos, and videos.

Beautiful Connemara Grey Mare Horse/Pony 12yrs

  • Amazing temperament. Great to do in all ways.
  • Absolute stunner- a real eye catcher.
  • Good to load , shoe , clip - has been a pony club horse from the age of five

Dream ( Kildromin Dream) has been my granddaughters pony club ride from a five year old until now - she reached her 12th year in June - born 2014.

She is fast - can turn on a sixpence and is great out hunting / team chase and polocrosse - she was a real winner show jumping and has a good BSJ record - however she started not to enjoy jumping about four years ago,so we bought our granddaughter another horse for showjumping and Dream hasn’t been ridden as much since then - she has still hunted in the season and competed polocrosse regularly even getting a podium place at pony club championships in 2024 !

She’s always been exercised regularly in our arena at home -( she’s always been shod on all four ) and we are told by experts recently that she shows real potential as a dressage horse - but that she isn’t a horse you can just pull from the field and expect rosettes - the regular effort and dedication has to come from her rider too. We feel she would be ideally suited to a low level dressage / happy hacker at the moment.

She can be a little spooky but nothing dangerous… she does take confidence from her rider and is sensitive and a goer but nothing dangerous or sharp.

Although she’s always been a kids horse and has done a marvellous job - I do feel she’s not really a novice ride and also she measured in at 149.5 officially and is probably 15hh now - so a horse not a pony as categories go - therefore our aim is for her to go to a petite adult rider with experience- and who can offer a five star forever home for this much loved mare.

She is never sick or sorry and is open to any vetting - she is up to date with worming / injections / teeth etc and comes with her saddle / bridle rugs etc

Quality 15.1 10yo Welsh D Gelding allrounder

  • A genuine all-rounder who has enjoyed hacking, showing, showjumping.

15.1hh 10-year-old Welsh Section D gelding

Bryn has been with me since he was a yearling and is a much-loved member of the family, so this is exceptionally difficult.

Unfortunately, increasing work commitments force this, I am looking for the perfect long-term home for him.

He has top quality breeding and is a genuine all-rounder who has enjoyed hacking, showing, showjumping. He has always performed well in the show ring and was consistently placed in the ribbons. He is exceptionally handsome.

Bryn is a forward-thinking horse with big, expressive paces, so he would not suit a nervous or novice rider. In the right hands, he is enormous fun and enjoys having a job to do.

Out hacking, he much prefers company, hacking alone- he requires reassurance from his rider. We have a busy building merchants in the village, so he is used to large vehicles, machinery, and even the steam train that runs through the village. He will happily plod along or pick up the pace if asked.

He has recently come back from loan (family) who has recently qualified as a vet and sadly no longer has the time. During his time with her, Bryn has attended his first showjumping outings which he seemed to love. He hacked on the moors regularly and doesn’t hot up or get silly in open spaces.

He travels brilliantly in a trailer and will load perfectly. However, he is not keen on my 3.5-tonne horsebox.

In the stable, Bryn is incredibly affectionate and thrives on human attention and fuss.

He is good to clip with patience, shoe, up to date with vacs. Clicker trained which he absolutely loves.

This is a very hard decision, so please genuine enquiries only — no time wasters. A local LWVTB home may be considered so I can ensure he finds the perfect match. He is ready to find his next human to love! Loving home is utmost important. I have done everything with this horse since a yearling so I know all his history.

Lots of videos and photos available on request.

15HH 10YO CONNEMARA GELDING

  • Gelding
  • 10 years
  • 15hh / 153cm
  • Very safe pc/rc pony
  • 75% at last dressage competition
  • Great allrounder

Cloudy is a gorgeous grey Connemara gelding who wants to please and is a genuine, safe horse.

We have owned him for 4 years and have a great bond so this is a very sad sale.

Cloudy is talented at dressage and from the age of 6 has never had a score lower than 66%, with his scores in the last year being in the 70's.

He came 8th at pony club area dressage and qualified for Bicton last year, always producing a calm, rhythmical test. He has been working at prelim but is more than ready to step up to novice.

He has regularly competed at 70 & 80cm showjumping and arena eventing, coming home with lots of rosettes. He has been placed in the top ten at ODE's.

Cloudy loves hacking and would hack all day on the buckle.

Brilliant with all traffic and farm machinery as he lives on a busy lane.

He is great to school and is a very easy enjoyable ride. He has a lovely floaty trot and knows rein-back, turn on the forehand etc. He is a quick thinker and learner and enjoys polework. He is very good to ride in open spaces, never feeling out of control. The kind of horse you can trust to stop easily when going for a gallop. His first fun ride was Badminton and he was a dream.

Good to clip, shoe and will stand all day at a show. The kind of horse that pony club DC's pick for bandaging practice at rallies! Happily turns out with mares or geldings. He is great travelling in a trailer without a partition as he prefers more space. We haven't travelled him in a box before but we're sure he would be fine. Good to load. Up to date with worming, back, teeth and vaccinations.

We have had a brilliant 4 years with him doing loads of competitions including showjumping, eventing, pony club, area and pony camps with him being super throughout.

He was treated for arthritis in his hocks in 2025 and the vet confirmed he is sound and can continue all riding and competing. He is enjoying being back in work and able to do all previous activities happily.

Selling due to daughters other commitments, hence the reluctant sale.

Would suit a confident and experienced adult or teen wanting to have fun doing everything from dressage to showjumping and xc. Alternatively he would also suit a hacking home enjoying fun rides.

5* home only for this superstar.

New saddle fitted recently by separate negotiation.

We have bred and owned Mulligan all her life. She has always been super easy to do, so much so, shes always the one who gets left, and not ridden. Whilst I find her super easy, and if anything, I like it when shes not been ridden for a month and is a little fresh, we have had a few try her and found her too forward for them.

There is no need to kick on this mare, leg on means go. She marchs in walk and trots out, keeping up with any horse. She loves a canter across the fields and tracks, but pulls up easy in a snaffle.

Personally I find circles in an arena boring, (plus we don’t have an arena) so we do not do it. If you want a dressage horse, you will need to put the work in, as our idea of fun is hacking. However she has been to dressage and show jump shows with a friend many years ago, so the buttons will still be there, its up to you if you want them, and if so you might need to re program.

Her forte is hacking, heavy traffic is no issue, gates she’s a pro, she’s safe in open spaces, she goes first or last, and is confident on her own.

You can ride and lead her, or from her, so super easy.

She is a unit, i’m 5ft6 and she takes up my leg, and some, I’ve never felt too big for her. Shes super comfortable to ride with plenty of neck and shoulder in front of you.

She is only for sale as I’ve bred myself a taller version and if she gets ridden once a fortnight she’s done well.

If you are into your gypsy cob breeding you will see she has great breeding, and is very correct if you wanted to show.

She needs her own person, but if you are coming from a riding school, are used to kicking every stride, or are hoping for a mother daughter share for your ten year old who is still struggling with rising trot, she is unlikely to be for you, you are likely to feel over horsed.

She is kind, super fun and gives you a great fun ride.

She is and has always been barefoot, easy to clip, bath, spray etc. She is vaccinated, has had a foal (we are a stud) three years ago which she did easily and her foal is still with us (also for sale).

Her ideal home is someone who wants to hack out, have a good canter across fields, do some fun rides etc

We have them in each night, and in the winter we have little / no turnout and she’s happy to stay in 24/7. She doesn’t get fresh or silly when in.

The home and person is every important, as she is a member of our family, but she is surplus to needs at the moment, and she could give someone a lot of fun.

She has a Kent & Masters saddle, Seddon bridle and a larger wardrobe than me that I’m happy to discuss

Tom is an absolutely cracking, genuine and fun all-rounder — the sort that is very hard to find. He truly is as close to a unicorn as you’ll come across.

An experienced pony with miles under his belt in all spheres, Tom would make a fantastic Pony Club or Riding Club partner, and would equally suit a working livery, college or riding school environment. He has competed successfully at numerous unaffiliated competitions and takes everything in his stride.

On the flat, Tom works nicely in the school with attractive, comfortable paces. He produces a flying change and is happy working both in a soft outline or on a looser contact. He has a lovely way of going and would look right at home in the hunter/jumper ring in the USA — an extremely cute and eye-catching type who also schools beautifully on the flat.

Tom thoroughly enjoys his jumping, both showjumping and cross-country. He is honest, bold and genuine, happily taking his rider to a fence without being spooky or sharp. He’s forgiving of a missed stride, looks after both himself and his rider, and gives confidence.

Out hacking, he is excellent in traffic and sensible to ride alone or in company, and super in open spaces.

He is also a lovely pony to have around the yard — affectionate, cuddly and kind, with excellent stable manners.

No vices.
