Wanted genuine horse/pony for a fun varied life. Mainly for experienced, ridden all her life mum to hack out with children and ponies around our quiet country tracks and lanes. Must also hack alone. Nothing sharp please.

To join in with riding club clinics and a bit of sj and xc, pop a log in the woods or go for an amble along the beach that sort of thing. It will be a fun varied life.

Would suit something older or younger as long as has a genuine chilled outlook. We are happy to bring on in other ways. I have a confident capable daughter who is more than happy to hop on if needed and horse wanted to do more exciting things.

We keep our horses at our home in lovely indoor stables with lots of turnout. They want for nothing and are a very much loved part of our family. We would prefer if the horse was privately owned and known fairly well. This will be a forever home so we’d like to get the right match.

Happy to wait if you’re not quite ready to move your horse on yet. Would consider sale, loan or lease. Our Email is bluemoon3218@hotmail.com or ring/text number below

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Lolly is a fantastic Connie X ISH, purchased to produce nearly a year ago as owners loved her type and her brain for teenager to produce. She is a smart package and has a great pop on her without being sharp or silly. She's a sort very hard to come by and has been a pleasure to produce and is a really fun type.

She has lovely movement and presence, plenty of talent jumping, a great attitude to her work and gives her rider confidence. She's snaffle mouthed and not strong but equally is responsive off the leg and not lazy. I can see her being an excellent grassroots eventer, pony club allrounder, NSEA, mother daughter share or fun horse. She's super to deal with on the ground at home & away, very low maintenance with a kind temperament.

We have produced her slowly, but nothing has phased her and she's wise beyond her years! She's been ridden 90% and produced by a teenager and since being with me has regularly been ridden by an 11yo. This has been perfect though, because she's proved she takes a miss, doesn't get offended and is amateur friendly. She's not been over jumped height wise as her jockey isn't the most confident, but Lolly has grown her confidence masses. She has plenty of scope. Together they have attended:
- XC schooling (ditches, water, steps no issues)
- 2 x sponsored rides
- Training shows (brave with fillers)
- Hunter trials
All of the above she has been foot perfect. Not spooky, hacks alone & in company, well behaved in busy warmups, good on the lorry etc, (3.5 & 26 ton). Not marish, turns out alone or with mares/geldings. Pleasure to have on the yard. She's ready to crack on in any discipline. She'll bring a lot of joy to her new rider.

For sale now due to owner/rider going away in November. Vetted last year and is sound with no vet history, quirks or vices. Otherwise blemish free with excellent feet & legs.

  • Talented, smart and genuine pony.

Ronan is the utimate future competition pony/little horse. By Castleside JJ.

Rising 7 - He has done a small amount of everything very nicely with a smile on his face and has been a total pleasure to produce so far.

Well hunted on Exmoor where he loves the job. Very good with other horses/hounds. Bold and goes off on his own or happy in behind. Snaffle mouthed. He is forward going and up for it in a good way.

Hes been out to hunter trials and team chased in the Autumn. Being placed around 80’s and happily schooled around 90 courses. Very bold and never questioned anything.

Placed unaffiliated show jumping- gaining double clears and progressing very quickly. He is still green in terms of competition milage but very willing and capable. Has done riding club clinics/lessons.

He has all the basics nicely on the flat and has recently been placed in his first RC dressage competition.

Hacks very happily alone or in company. Rides and leads and is great in all traffic.

He’s a super little horse who is impeccably bred to go on and be successful. Still young and is talented so due to this would not suit a novice or nervous rider.

Very good to do in all ways at home and vice free. Open to any vet.

He’s a lovely type and great mover.

He goes nicely in the arena giving a nice forward ride. Snaffle mouthed. He’s happy to hack alone or in company and is good in traffic ect.

Honest bits- I think at some point in his life he’s lost his trust in people, he can be weary with new people and will go to the back of the stable and turn his bum. He is completely normal (actually a pleasure!) on a daily basis with us to deal with in every way. It’s more things like when he had the dentist he had to have a 5 min meet and greet then stood like a dream and let him do them! Been fine with farrier.

I want him to go to a knowledgeable home for this reason but genuinely think he will suit a private home so much better than my big yard where he is 1 of 50 horses we deal with.

Open to vetting ect. Price reflects

Ilane Mayflower (stable name - Kiki)

Rising Star: 5 Year old Connemara mare

DOB: 10.04.2019

Height: 15.2 hh

N/N HWSD

It is with great sadness that we need to sell Kiki, who has been an absolute joy for our daughter to ride.

Kiki is a wonderful and good looking pony that would suit a young rider that has completed 'riding school' or an individual who wants to continue Kiki's training and start competing.

Kiki has never had any issues with the heard when being turned out. She is also easy to load and unload. She is very soft, kind and gentle in the stable, whilst at the same time being exciting and dynamic to ride. Our daughter immediately felt the energy when we bought her and Kiki loves to jump. She now trots and canters 'on the bit', rides beautifully and is used to jumping 70 cm, 80 cm and 90 cm - but with some more training is certainly capable of higher.

We have taken Kiki for jumping experience in various locations and she has entered Clear Round and NSEA events at Felbridge, where each time she completed all rounds without knocking over any poles, due to the excellent flatwork and rhythm training she has received. We firmly believe Kiki could progress even further with the right rider, regular training and a good instructor. We constantly receives comments from our daughter's current riding instructor about how well behaved Kiki is and how quickly she learns.

Kiki is also calm whilst hacking and is confident having seen cars, vans, bikes and Scooters.

She has also had experience with cross country as there is a course at our current stables.

Kiki has a fantastic temperament, looks very smart and you'd go a long way to find such a sweet horse who loves learning and is so willing.

Saddle and tack also available by separate negotiation.

Jack of all trades!

Ultimate Allrounder!

This lovely horse has the greatest of natures and the biggest of hearts. If you want a genuine allrounder who is always sane and sensible under saddle this is the guy for you! Every riding club member or grassroots riders dream! He might not win any races or jump round badminton 5* but he’s the type that will look after his jockey up to 1m, does a smart dressage test, looks after any level of rider, a saint to hunt and has a laid back attitude to life!

Archy is an approx 15.2hh rising 6yr old bay class 1 Connemara(N/N hoof wall)gelding. By the sire Caherlistrane Bay and the dam Glenview Daisy. Typical of his breeding he has proved to be extremely versatile, happy to turn his hoof to anything whether that be dressage, happy hacking or eventing. A lovely type with great feet, clean limbs, three super paces and a genuine jump he will excel in any sphere. Looks like a Ferrari but has the engine of a Mini Cooper! Perfect for someone wanting a quality straightforward horse without the quirks or a massive engine.

This absolute superstar has been a delight to own and has proved to be easy, simple and straightforward. He doesn’t need a pro jockey and will be very suitable for an amateur rider or would even take a novice. Doesn’t need daily riding to keep him sane, easy to pick up and put down, does everything in a snaffle including hunting. He isn’t sharp, doesn’t take offence at riders errors-he’s the ultimate fun guy! Has been ridden by a variety of riders from a 12yr old child to taking my novice work experience student hunting for the first time he really a super special one of a kind! The type who can be ridden in whatever weather even after weeks of and doesn’t change.

Three lovely paces, scored 68% in his last test with lovely comments from the judges about his future and ride ability. Would be an asset to someone who wanted to work through the levels dressage and continue to educate as he moved through the grades.

A very genuine jumper who goes exactly where you tell him. Has had lots of variety to show him the world whilst investing in his future and giving him a great basic start without being rushed or pushed. Has plenty of ability and finds it all very easy. No issues with fillers, water, ditches, doesn’t mind being missed and is always looking to jump between the flags.

Will turn his hoof to anything and has done everything from riding club, hunting, dressage, one day events and some showjumping. A true allrounder who’s happy to give anything a go!

Has hunted proving extremely brave yet sensible over all types of country. Great at the meet, doesn’t whiz up, will canter on the buckle and gives his jockey an armchair ride. Loves the beach and great in open spaces. Great to hack alone and in company, has been 100% in all traffic we’ve seen including crossing a busy main road and tractors. Used to dogs, cows and the quad bike.

Simple and straightforward to have on the yard great to box(trailer/lorry) shoe, clip, catch, turn in and out. Will live in or out with mares or geldings. No vices and can be handled by anyone even the non horsey other half turns him in and out.

Ideal mother/daughter share or an amateur riding wanting a fun allrounder who will do any job. Great prospect for grassroots, riding club or quality allrounder. He’s the type that’s so hard to find. Full history known and breeder would love to stay in touch. Passed full vetting upon purchase and is open to any further vetting.

  • Perfect mother/daughter/family share.
  • Super safe hunter who stands at the meet for you to drink port.
  • Great general all rounder and is one in a million!.
Was bought for a novice 11yo girl who learnt how to ride on her, within 12 months they went from total beginners to hunting superstars.

Maddie is an ideal mother/daughter/family share. Hunting is where she excels, I don’t think she’s quite going to make an Olympic showjumper or dressage extraordinaire anytime soon. But what she will do is go out and have some fun and bring her rider home safely at the end of the day.

Hunting she stands like a rock at the meet, happily waits and will go at the front or back of the field and always jumps anything that’s asked of her. Good with hounds and as a junior rider she’s done her share of gates.
Good doer and easy keeper, lives in or out and thrives off a routine. Good to hack alone or in company, regularly ridden to the beach on her own. Good in traffic, farm machinery etc. Has done a bit of everything including SJ, XC, fun rides and is just a great general all rounder.

Good to catch, shoe, load and travels in a lorry or trailer. Good to handle on the ground, small kids can groom and lead her around.

The sand school is not her favourite place but will do whatever is asked of her. Is just a kind and lovely person who just wants to please.

Teenager giving up horses so is for sale due to no fault of her own. Heartbreaking sale and only the best homes need apply. She was advertised previously but couldn’t go through with it. However the reality is she deserves to find a new family where she will be the number 1 as she really is one in a million! Upto date with vaccs, teeth and back. Lots of videos available and there is a transporter based at the yard so delivery could be arranged.

Good facilities for coming to see her, no loans and absolutely no time wasters. Passed a five stage vetting when purchased and is open to vet if required.
