• Professionally Schooled, Forward, Athletic Cob
• A genuinely kind and willing pony
• 2nd Pony Club Pony

This lovely pony has been professionally trained and is beautifully schooled, he is a forward, responsive ride with expressive paces with potential for showing and dressage who would make a top class all rounder / hunt pony as also enjoys his jumping. He lunges well and happily hacks out both alone and in company.

He’d suit as a 2nd pony for a capable child or a lightweight adult, could also be shared between a child and a parent. (Rider in photo is 5ft 7" )

Fun and versatile, he’s not got a bad bone in his body, just needs someone with the time to give him more experience.

He’s a genuinely kind and willing pony, but still young and not quite ready to be a first ridden as too responsive to the aids for a child learning to canter off the lead rein.

Quick to learn, friendly, and curious, he’ll often follow you around the field just to be near you and is a firm yard favourite.

He always comes to call to be caught and is a easy member of a herd. He’s happy to live out or in or a combination of both, he is calm and patient for bathing and grooming. He has strong, healthy, unshod feet and can go for miles without shoes. He travels and loads easily and has no known health issues, skin problems, or allergies. He needs a little patience for clipping and requires sedation for dental work. He is up to date on vaccinations, dental care, and worming. Serious enquiries only please. Price has been substantially reduced as currently no rider.

'COOKIE' registered Welsh Section A, born 2018. A very sad sale of a beautiful looking, confidence giving pony. Great to do in all ways, perfectly mannered in and out of the stable and around little ones. Safe and sound to ride, responsive to even the tiniest of legs, nicely forward without being 'whizzy' or 'sharp'. Ridden by a a nervous 11 year old on and off the lead rein and a small six year old off the lead rein.

He's done a bit of everything. Would do the lead rein, first ridden, 1.5 and second pony job. Out off the yard every week at various rallies, competitions etc. Will pop sweetly round a 30/40cm course. Has scope to jump bigger but we haven't done this with him. Very soft snaffle mouth.

A true gem and mother's dream. All homes will be vetted, ideally want a long term loving home with multiple children to enjoy. Absolutely no time wasters, a truly heart breaking sale of a very loved pony. Only for sale as we have too many. Vaccinations, teeth, feet up to date, ready to go for the Summer. Local home preferred and we'd love to keep in touch.

Struan of Achnacarry is a 4-year-old, 13.2hh registered Highland gelding with the kindest, most willing personality. He was lightly backed and turned away in December 2025, and has been in full work throughout spring/summer 2026.

He absolutely loves his hacking, alone or in company. Is good with traffic, bikes and machinery. Can be ridden in an open field with no concern. In the school, he tries his very best and has been introduced to polework.

Struan has been ridden by a range of ages and abilities, from children to adults. He is definitely more “woah” than “go” and is happiest having a nice, steady plod. Very little seems to faze him.

He has also started his education as a garron pony, so his groundwork is well established and he has excellent manners.

Struan has a lovely temperament and is a pleasure to have around. He is never impatient, stroppy or stubborn like other highlands.

Full history is known. No rush for sale.

He would suit a Family allrounder, happy hack, lower level Pony Club/riding club, or as a garron pony on an estate.

• Minimally Marked Mini Traditional Cob With Excellent Conformation
• Had A Fantastic Novice Season On & Off Lead Rein Inc Evening Performance & Concours
• Loves To Hack Alone & In Company, Great In Traffic And In Open Spaces

Tommy is a true to type traditional gypsy cob with great conformation, certainly a future HOYS junior coloured contender. He has an abundance of quality, straight and silky hair. He is substantial and easily carries a lightweight adult.

Tommy has had a fantastic start to his education, spending last year as a four year old out hacking and exploring the world, then this spring he began his schooling in preparation for showing

Tommy loves to hack, either by himself or in company. He is happy to go first or last, and is sensible on the road in traffic, trotting up grass verges and in open fields.

Tommy loves children and has enjoyed jumping small fences in the school. He has been lightly but successfully shown this summer by four and five year old lead rein jockeys, and a ten year old first ridden jockey in walk and trot classes.

He has also been to his first stay away show, been in an evening performance and competed in the concurs class wearing a dress!

Tommy is a real yard favourite and turns heads wherever he goes. He is very easy to do, including blow drying his legs with a blaster.

With further education over winter, this pony is certain to do well in RIHS open qualifiers and the HOYS junior ranks. He is an all-round fun pony and would also enjoy pony club events.

He is CHAPS registered, vaccinated, has regular farrier appointments (unshod) and has a JMB (120cm) so he can compete affiliated in lead rein, first ridden, junior and open showing classes.

Quality (new) tack and rugs available separately. Very sad sale, please no timewasters or anyone not in a position to buy. No loans.

• PERFECT LEAD REIN PONY
• PONY CLUB ALLROUNDER

TOYS QUALIFYING GREATEST GELDING. (Sold with his ticket to compete) "Perfect stamp, you could pop him in a box" said the judge. Competed at the weekend by his 4 year old jockey! First time out with Ferris wheel, shires, tractors, trailers , donkeys and cows and didnt bat an eyelid! .

Safe and sane as houses. Will go very far with a knowledgeable family. Old head on young shoulders Obi is pretty unflappable. Has completed Pony Club camp off the lead rein this summer with a nervous novice, trained mounted games and done a little bit across all 3 disciplines.

Obi is the kindest, cuddliest, biddable and amenable lead rein pony. Stands all day long to be fussed and groomed (and lets face it with that feather it's just as well!).

Super in traffic, out hacking in front or behind, open spaces and pony club group rallies. He has a personality to die for and deserves a long term family home with loads of little people.

5 years old same home since 6 months he doesn't have a bad bone in his body. He's as close as you can get to bombproof but still only young so I will not sell to first time pony owners or dealers.

Flashy little mover. Goes well to voice command and proven very popular with the judges in the showing ring.

Adorable 12.2hh welsh sec B for sale. Aged 13 years. (Permanent loan considered if the perfect home)

Sadly outgrown by my daughter and my son has lost interest. We've had Barnaby for 5 years and we are reluctant to sell him but he needs to give his love to another little person - he has so much love to give. He loves to be cuddled, pampered and is very sociable with everyone. He does have a cheeky side, typical of his breed. But he is not unkind in any way.

Barnaby is forward going so not ideal for a first pony, although he has been a first pony for both my children. He is amazing on the lead rein but is sensitive and would do better with a confident rider to boss him about and who wants to do things with him and have fun. He has turned my daughter into a sensitive and talented rider. He is great at all pony club activities, to hack, both in company or alone, although he always prefers company and he jumps 80cm at home and 60-70cm in competitions.

He has great potential as a mounted games pony and is completely unfazed by anything flappy, cars, heavy machinery, other animals (he lives on a farm) and can be handled easily by children. He is good to shoe (he's been barefoot since I've had him), clip and load/travel.

**PRICE REDUCED **

💗 **THE ULTIMATE CHILD’S BEST FRIEND** 💗

**Cherish your child? Then Matilda is for you!

⭐ 13hh 9 year old mare** ⭐

Matilda really is the ultimate child’s first pony.

She is a beautiful little mare who has been very well looked after and certainly hasn’t been hammered. She’s not a flashy competition pony, but what she lacks in flash, she more than makes up for with a temperament to die for, both on the ground and ridden.

Matilda is such a kind, gentle soul with so much love to give and genuinely is a child’s best friend. There isn’t a nasty bone in her body.

Children can literally do everything with her even clip her out on their own! She absolutely loves a pamper and is easy to catch, load, tack up, pick her feet out, groom and handle. All of this can happily be done by a child — no parents required!

She has done a bit of everything, from showing and hacking to pub rides, and will happily plod around bareback with the kids. She is safe and sensible out hacking, including in open spaces and alongside bigger horses.

Matilda has good brakes, doesn’t get strong and isn’t a forward going pony, making her ideal for a smaller or less confident child.

She has looked after my girls for the last four years, but sadly they have now outgrown her, so the heartbreaking time has come to find her another little person to love.

✅ 100% to box/load

✅ Good for the farrier/shoeing

✅ Good in traffic

✅ Good for the dentist

✅ Child friendly to handle

✅ Safe and sensible

✅ Comes with tack and a few rugs.

📍 **Based in West Yorkshire**

Matilda deserves the very best home where she can become another child’s best friend and be loved as much as she is here.

**Serious enquiries only please — finding the right home is far more important than finding the quickest one.

15-year-old Grey Welsh Section A Mare | Green Passport. Revel breeding.

A much-loved family pony, owned by us for 2.5 years and only tentatively looking for a new home as our 11-year-old daughter is getting increasingly long-legged and ready to think about the next size up after one final fun summer.

🩷 About her

• 11.2hh, grey, 15-year-old Welsh Section A mare

• Occasionally sports a pink glittery tail!

• Full history known with references available from 2 previous homes (pony party rides)

• A genuine part of our family and handled regularly by children

• Has been an absolute dream for a non-horsey mum to own and have fun with our children

🏇 She loves having a job and going out

• Gymkhanas

• Rallies

• Hunting

• Fancy dress

• Hacking

• Ridden both on and off the lead rein to capabilities of child

• Plenty of family videos available

🚜 Easy & sensible

Loads beautifully into a trailer and has been excellent around roads and farm machinery — never spooky or silly.

She doesn’t need lunging before riding, even if she’s had several weeks turned out without work. Regularly clipped and very used to family life; she mostly lives in the paddock at the bottom of our cottage garden, so she’s accustomed to children climbing on, grooming and handling her.

Health & care

✓ No history of laminitis or sweet itch

✓ Vaccinated March 2026

✓ Teeth May 2026

✓ Feet trimmed every 8-12 weeks

🎀 Included: bespoke bridle

🐴 14” Wintec saddle negotiable if wanted

She has given us some wonderful memories and we’d love to find her a lovely home where she can continue doing the things she enjoys. We’d also be delighted to keep in touch with her new owners.

• Fantastic, confident hack – happy alone or in company, in front or behind
• Ideal lead rein / second pony for a confident child who wants to get out and have fun

Gadlys Serena is a beautiful 7-year-old, 11.2hh Welsh Section A mare with bags of personality and all the cheeky character you’d expect from a Welshie.

Serena absolutely loves getting out and about and hacking is definitely her happy place. She is confident and forward out hacking, happily going in front or behind, and is confident enough to hack away from other horses. She has previously enjoyed shows and fun rides and would really thrive in an active home where she can have plenty of variety and adventures.

In the school she is quite different and is much more kick-along than forward! She needs a positive little rider with enough leg to keep her working and can get bored simply going round in circles. She is much happier when she has something interesting to do.

Serena is happy to be ridden on the lead rein with a knowledgeable and confident handler, or would suit a confident child looking for a second pony. She is not a true first-ridden type and wouldn’t suit a very nervous or complete novice child riding independently.

She is a typical mare and a proper cheeky little Welsh character who knows her own mind. She responds best to confident, consistent handling and we feel she would be happiest with a slightly older (age 5+) or more experienced child and family who understand ponies, rather than very young children wanting to climb all over her.

She is a lovely little pony with lots to offer and, in the right home with a confident little jockey, we think she would have great fun doing Pony Club, hacking, fun rides and generally getting out and about. Serena will jump a small course but jumping isn’t her strong point.

She is good to groom and enjoys a fuss, and is fine with a slow running hose, although she isn’t particularly keen on sprays.

This is a very sad sale and finding the right home is extremely important to us. We originally bought Serena for our young daughter to walk and trot around the farm on the lead rein, but as we’ve got to know her we’ve realised that Serena would be much better suited to a child who wants to get out and do more with her.

Serena will come with her Wintec 500 pony saddle, Diddy Bits bridle and comfort bit.

• Exceptional children's hunting pony - sensible in the crowd or happily at the back
• Genuine lead rein &; first ridden - more woah than go and an absolute gentleman
• Been there and done it - 3 x Pony Club camps, mounted games rallies, fancy dress

Teddy is our much loved 11hh, 14yo Dartmoor type gelding and the ultimate little gentleman. This is a very sad sale of a pony who has given our family so much joy.

He is a genuine lead rein and first ridden pony and definitely more woah than go. He has looked after his little rider beautifully and is a wonderful confidence giver.

Teddy has been exceptional at children's meets. He stands sensibly at the meet, happily goes along amongst the crowd and is equally content to stay quietly at the back on his own. He doesn't get wound up by the excitement and has been a wonderful pony for a child to enjoy hunting on.

He has been to three Pony Club camps and taken part in lots of Pony Club rallies, mounted games, fancy dress and general family fun.

He will do cross poles, mini xc jumps with no care of what they look like but he will not do this fowardly - he is no speedy showjumper and that is not where his strengths lie. He is the lead rein and first pony, the bombproof gent all rounder for kids to learn on safely. He is the stage before the 'second pony' that then takes children whizzing round the comps with the full confidence and joy that they gained from a pony like Teddy.

On the ground he is an absolute gent. Perfect to load and with the farrier, stands patiently to be groomed and fussed over by children and loves cuddles and affection. He really is the sort of pony children can enjoy doing everything with, not just riding.

He is a hardy native of Dartmoor type (not a registered dartmoor pony) who lives on fresh air and we are not aware of any previous health problems. Comes with saddle and bridle.

Teddy is well known locally and plenty of Pony Club families, instructors and others who have seen him in many different settings across the New Forest will no doubt happily vouch for him.

Home is incredibly important. We are looking for a long term Pony Club or hunting family home where Teddy can continue doing the things he loves and be adored. He would be particularly suited to a family with several children, where he can teach one after another and hopefully stay for many years. We would not wish him to go to a single 7 or 8 year old that already can ride as he is best suited for a longer term home where a child can enjoy the lead rein pony stage but instead then needing the next pony they can then continue off lead to the stage they need the true second pony.

With his height he is bigger than an oversized shetland but smaller than a typical dartmoor. Perfect for safety, enjoyment but the child at aged 8 or 9 will likely start to outgrow him.

Teddy has given us so much joy and we owe it to him to find a home that will love and appreciate him as much as we do. The right home is far more important than a quick sale, we can keep him for as long as.

Both on the ground and ridden, Bobby is the sweetest pony. He will stand for hours for a bath and groom and is so loving and kind. He's used to children, dogs and farm machinery. He'll confidently, hack alone or in company and is always sensible, even when on busy roads or open fields.

To school, Bobby has three lovely paces on both reins. He's forward off the leg but safe as houses.

He's easy to take out and has been to several arena hires, farm rides and shows.

Hee would make a perfect pony club pony for all activities and has so much potential to be a top/HOYS show pony.

He always keeps a level head and is fab to load/ travel and in busy environments.

He is up-to-date with worming, vaccinations, teeth and farrier (bare foot) and has no health issues or vices.

He is safe for young children to ride and is a real old head on young shoulders typ.

Treacle – 13hh 8yo Fell Mare 🖤

Treacle is a 8yo, 13hh Fell mare with a lovely character and plenty to offer her next home.

She is a fun, versatile pony who has been hunting, jumping and local showing. She is more woah than go but will go when you put your leg on.

Treacle is very easy in company and turns out with mares and geldings, although she does like to make sure everyone knows that she is definitely the boss of the field!

My daughter has had lots of fun with Flash, mostly SJ last year including Sunshine Tour and pony club camp. He is quick against the clock, she jumped him mainly 60/70 cm, but has sadly outgrown him now.

He’s done all pony club activities, including games, racing , jumping and has also hunted in the past. I’m in touch with a couple of his previous homes.

He is a busy, energetic pony when jumping so will be best suited to a confident, competitive rider. He can be very quiet to ride in other situations.

Unshod and uncomplicated to keep (other than keeping an eye on his weight). He does make a noise, this was investigated by a previous owner with no significant findings and he subsequently went on to pony race with them.

• Snaffle mouthed & light in the hand
• Schools nicely on the flat and over jumps
• Shown successfully as a youngster

A very special, home-produced young gelding.

I have owned Charlie from 10 months old, broken and entirely produced by myself. He has been an absolute pleasure to produce and is the loveliest person with manners to die for.

He is snaffle mouthed and lovely and light in the hand. He has been a quick learner in picking up an excellent foundation of flat and jump work, enjoying his work and being willing to please.

He has three good, balanced paces and is lovely and light in the hand. He can work nicely forward and produce a quality way of going for a more experienced rider, but equally has the temperament to step down a gear and look after a less confident rider.

He hacks both alone and in company and is a sensible, straightforward ride. He is not spooky hacking or when jumping fillers, and has a lovely attitude to new experiences. He has recently been cross country schooling and was very easy throughout.

He has also been ridden by a less experienced year old girl, for whom he adapted brilliantly - going quietly and reassuringly while remaining responsive and cooperative.

He is well mannered and easy to have around. He is good for the farrier, vet, to travel, etc. He is excellent to handle, having been brought up and produced with care from a young age. Charlie has been shown at local and county shows as a youngster, so is used to the atmosphere and behaves excellently at such events.

He has been carefully and correctly produced, without being rushed, and has a lovely attitude to his work. He is the sort you enjoy having around and genuinely want to see do well.

• RDA centre needing LWVTB/Loan
• Temperament is more important than breed

We are looking for any breed for LWVTB as they will need to be trialled in our RDA environment before purchasing to see if they're suited to this lifestyle before a participant can ride them. This is as much for the ponies as the suitability for riders.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.

If you would like to check out our RDA centre we are online and Facebook as Elisabeth Curtis Centre.
