Garry is the most perfect horse you could ever wish to own. He has the most impeccable manners, very kind natured and will be the horse of a lifetime for somebody.

Owned by an amateur since an unbacked 5yo and produced up the levels to Intermediate. the majority of his eventing career has been at Novice level - with so many double clears, numerous top 10 placings and a couple of wins. Recently finished 2nd in the Restricted Novice Championship at Hartpury 2026 on a score of 27.1.

Garry truly shines in the dressage phase, he has the most beautiful, correct and balanced paces and has a super attitude to his work. Nearly always sub 30 after the first phases. Garry could easily be a dressage horse as the main focus, and jumping for fun. Training medium at home.

Garry has jumped 5/7 double clears at Novice this season, he is very polite into a fence, makes a lovely shape, and he tries really hard to keep the poles up and jump through the flags for you.

Garry is an absolute dream to handle, clip, farrier, dentist and loves hacking so much, alone or in company, and not phased by the heaviest traffic. Garry is utterly amazing and has a huge amount to give to his next rider on a new adventure. I take him everywhere on my own; training competing, stay away shows and he’s such a pleasure to be around.

Whilst we have had some incredible form this season and over the years, I would personally like to progress to intermediate and 3* and I feel like Garry isn’t the right horse to do this with.

I would love to find him a home where he can step down and perhaps show someone the ropes at 100/Novice - he is extremely competitive at these levels. Alternatively, he would also suit somebody who loves dressage, going down the BD route and jumping for fun. He would be fantastic for someone without the huge budget to buy such a quality, beautiful, outstanding horse.

Garry requires some annual maintenance which I am more than happy to discuss with serious buyers only. He is a very sound happy horse that somebody will fall in love with the moment they meet him. The home he goes to is extremely important to me as this is a heartbreaking sale.
