Rascal is a seriously talented, genuine competition pony with a fantastic attitude and a huge future ahead of him. A gorgeous full-up 148cm Connemara, he combines a sensible native temperament with real quality and ability.

His breeding is top performance Connemara, by I Love You Melody, one of the top Connemara sires in the world, out of a mare who has already produced a Class 1 graded stallion and a HOYS showjumer.

He really is a super pony who will jump anything. Forward to a fence, brave and genuine, he loves his job and has all the attributes to go on to be a top-level competition pony. He jumps off any stride, is brilliant in a jump-off and will always look after his rider.

Lovely on the flat, naturally working in a beautiful outline, he is balanced and capable of producing a lovely dressage test.

Huge potential as an FEI event pony, HOYS Newcomers, 153cm Working Hunter or top-quality NSEA/PC pony. He would also make a fantastic Tetrathlon pony.

Rascal has an excellent record in Ireland and is currently still in British Novice points.

Brave and genuine cross-country, he jumps ditches, Trakehners and water without hesitation. He never says no, will take a miss and always has his ears pricked. He absolutely loves it!

A pleasure to have around, a really friendly boy who loves to be involved in EVERYTHING! Good to hack alone or in company and sensible enough for friends to enjoy cantering in open fields. Good to shoe, catch and clip.

He has the temperament to make a lovely mother-and-daughter share, while having the ability to take a competitive rider a long way. Not a novice ride, he has a big bold jump that will unseat a less balanced rider.

We had planned to aim Rascal at HOYS Newcomers next year if he hasn't found a new home. A very sad sale of a much-adored pony, but with two others already jumping HOYS Newcomers qualifiers next year, we feel he deserves the opportunity to shine on his own and fulfil his enormous potential.
