Although he’s a big boy, he’s a complete labrador on the ground and is good to mount/shoe/clip/load/dentist etc. He has no vices and isn’t ever sick or sorry.

He is fantastic to handle, and is regularly handled by children and novices. He is everyone’s best friend and isn’t bossy or bolshy. Happily goes with a mixed herd.

Since the start of this year his ridden work has been inconsistent, and he needs a confident capable rider to bring out the best in him as he can be cheeky and try it on, he just needs to be pushed through this and then he’ll be your perfect horse.

He hasn’t been in a school since February and has only done light hacking.

He can be spooky out hacking by himself but this improves when he does it frequently. He is completely fine in company but needs confidence from his rider when on his own. However, he is 100% in all traffic and isn’t bothered by lorries, buses, motorbikes etc.

He’s not strong and is ridden in a snaffle, he has also hunted in a snaffle quite happily. He just needs a job and something to keep his brain engaged as we believe he is getting bored and this has led to a couple of bad habits that need a capable rider to push through and correct.

Would suit a hunting home as has great scope over fences but also has flashy movements so would make a great shower. Needs more work over showjumps but only as he’s green in this area.

He’s not strong and is ridden in a snaffle, he has also hunted in a snaffle quite happily. He just needs a job and something to keep his brain engaged as we believe he is getting bored and this has led to a couple of bad habits that need a capable rider to push through and correct.

Would suit a hunting home as has great scope over fences but also has flashy movements so would make a great shower. Needs more work over showjumps but only as he’s green in this area.

Very sad sale of our much-loved Dexter, who has been with us for the past six years.

Dexter is a quality 15.2hh Irish Sport Horse gelding with plenty of presence and lovely movement. Having previously competed at Elementary level dressage, he knows his job between the white boards and has some lovely established work.

He has the moves to match his looks and would be great fun for an experienced rider who enjoys their flatwork, without the pressure of competing.

He hacks alone but much prefers company and is absolutely brilliant in traffic, including heavy traffic.

Dexter is a kind, sensitive horse who can be strong, so he is not a novice ride. He is best suited to a confident, experienced rider who will ride him sympathetically and appreciate him for the lovely horse he is.

Good with the farrier and happy living in or out. Ok to load and requires sedation for the dentist and clipping.

He is sound, on no medication and has no known health issues.

Dexter has been out of work for the past couple of months due to my daughter's work and university commitments, but is generally straightforward to bring back into work.

He is not being sold as a jumping horse.

We would love to find him a knowledgeable home where he can enjoy hacking, light schooling and plenty of fuss without the pressure of a busy competition schedule.

A very special home is sought for our lovely 13.2hh coloured gelding, who we have owned and loved for the past five years.

During that time, he has enjoyed low-level Pony Club activities and plenty of hacking. He is a kind, genuine pony who is great with children and absolutely loves being pampered, groomed and fussed over.

Due to a leg injury, he is no longer suitable for more demanding ridden work. We are therefore looking for a caring, knowledgeable home where he can enjoy a quieter life with light, low-level riding. He would be ideal as a lead-rein pony for a child to enjoy gentle rides and hacking, with lots of attention in between.

He lives out happily, is barefoot and is a good doer, so is very straightforward to keep. He lives happily with others and also makes an excellent field companion.

This is a genuinely difficult decision after five years with us, so finding the right home is our priority. We would love to find a family who can give him a useful but easy life and, most importantly, a child who will love him and give him all the fuss he deserves.
