James is a very special pony who we have owned for nearly three years. He is only for sale because carriage driving isn’t for him, he much prefers being ridden and has been so straight forward to ride! We are therefore looking for the very best riding home for him.

James is a super comfortable, enjoyable ride and happily takes the leg of a 5’8” rider.

Very sadly offered for sale due to an ongoing hip problem, which is making riding increasingly painful for me. This is a genuinely reluctant sale and is through absolutely no fault of his own.

Topgun is a stunning 16hh, 7-year-old bay Welsh Part-Bred gelding, with excellent show pony breeding, quality and presence.

He has an impressive showing background, including competing and winning 6 classes as Welsh Part-Bred Champion at the Royal Welsh Show.

Since coming to me earlier this year, Topgun has been in light work, including ridden schooling, lunging and hacking. He will happily hack alone or in company and has a lovely, kind temperament.

He is relatively low mileage for his age and has not been rushed. He is a quality horse with plenty of potential for someone wanting to continue his education and put their own stamp on him.

With his breeding, looks, movement and previous success, he would be a lovely prospect for someone wishing to produce him further for the show ring. Equally, his temperament and attitude make him an exciting prospect as a quality riding horse or all-rounder.

He passed a 5 stage vetting in March, so I’m sure he’ll fly through another one. Up to date with worming, jabs, dentist etc.

His dam sire is the Thoroughbred stallion Power Blade, who differs from many Thoroughbreds in being jumping bred and having jumped internationally at 1.30m.

She will turn a hoof to anything and is happy to have a gentle hack with my mum or step up to be competitive. She has done little bits of everything including team chasing as her first big outing and she was foot perfect.
