It is with a very heavy heart that the time has come to find a new home for my beautiful horse, Roo (Luidame I). This decision is through absolutely no fault of his own, but after a lot of thought I feel he would be much happier in a different job.

Although bred for show jumping, I don’t think the sport suits him mentally. He has three beautiful, expressive paces, is naturally uphill, and I truly believe he would excel in a dressage home where his movement can really shine.

Roo is a complete gentleman. He has even looked after a 13-year-old girl over fences and always tries his best. He hacks alone or in company, is happy turned out with other horses, and is an absolute sweetheart to handle in every way.

He is good to shoe, clip, travel, load, and has no stable vices. I’ve owned him for the past five years and know him inside out, so I will be completely honest with any potential buyer to ensure he finds the right home.

I have never hunted him, but I genuinely think he would really enjoy it if that was something his new owner wanted to do.

The only reason for this sale is that I now have two horses competing at different levels, and unfortunately I can no longer give Roo the time and attention he deserves.

This is an incredibly difficult decision, so finding him the perfect home is far more important than a quick sale.

She has been well handled and shows great willingness in training. Well mannered on the ground. She is compact in statue with a powerful jump. Very brave and careful over obstacles, certainly doesn't want to touch any. Ruby enjoys cross-country (including going through water) and her pole work. 

At her first competitive outing last week [27 June] she won the 'Horse Working Hunter - Young' class at Killyleagh [McCabe Cup]. I believe this is likely to be the first of many. She has certainly shown the capability to do very well, with a competent rider, as she progresses. Ruby enjoys being brushed and scratched. No known vices, just a genuine young mare.

Ruby is up-to-date with her worming, teeth and vaccinations. She is good with the farrier and easy to load onto the trailer or the horse lorry.

Never hot, strong or silly, she has a wonderfully level head and takes everything in her stride. Ridden by my 13 year old and a sharer who is 15 and novice rider who have done fun rides on her. I have literally never fallen off her in the 2 years I have had her!

He has taken an inexperienced rider from jumping unaffiliated to 90cm BS with numerous placings. He has done all pony club activities, NSEA and BS Academy teams, hacks by himself or with company.

His record speaks for itself and he really knows his job, with the kindest temperament and easy to do in all ways. Excellent trial facilities at Hascombe Farm.

Harry has three correct, balanced, rhythmical paces gaining high marks in dressage. He has been carefully produced competed and won/placed every time out inc. dressage up to Novice (unaffiliated), SJ up to 1m, Arena Eventing, Working Hunter and Hunter Trials.

Very consistent horse who produces a pleasing test and has a bold and scopey jump. He has started eventing this season, completing 3 BE80’s having a WIN and being placed 2nd and 5th. He had his first run at BE90 round a full-up undulating course and was clear XC – video available on request.

Schooling and competing unaffiliated at 1m with plenty more scope.

Hacks alone or in company but does have an engine and not a novice ride because of this.

Will be a great grassroots horse and has scope to go beyond this. Lives in or out, good to load, clip, catch etc!

Great fun horse that unfortunately has too many gears for current owner. Harry loves being out competing and has lots to give.
