Toffee is undoubtedly the safest, calmest and steadiest of pony’s. She is wise and loving and letting her go is extremely hard.
Toffee taught our daughter to ride. She took her from a nervous, unbalanced beginner to a confident young rider who's ready for more speed and scope now. Toffee has held her hand every step of the way, nothing but patient, kind and supportive, all while still teaching her to ride correctly. Our daughter deals with every aspect of Toffee's care on a daily basis, no adult required. She's without question the most perfect pony for it: catching, leading, tacking up and grooming are all down to our daughter, and Toffee's stable manners are immaculate throughout. You couldn't ask for a safer, more reliable, more wonderful pony for your child.

— Whilst being steady and calm, she still has plenty of ability, and most importantly will teach your child to ride, adjusting up or down depending on the rider.
— Excellent to hack anywhere, alone or in company, in open spaces or on the road, and happy to go up front or fall in behind depending on what's needed.
— Relaxed around livestock, farm machinery and traffic.
— Attended every Pony Club activity going, rallies, camps and week-longs, including two years of Pony Club camp, winning awards both years.
— Competed in dressage, show jumping, cross-country, one-day eventing, working equitation, endurance riding and hunting.
— Been out hunting and was so sensible the hunt staff couldn't believe it was her first time.
— Loads perfectly.
— Beautiful manners on the ground, gentle, kind and patient on every level, just like a big, loving family dog. Everybody who meets her falls in love with her.
— Good with mares and geldings, and shares a field happily with our Shetlands.
— Has even spent time in our dog training business, calmly helping dogs learn to be confident around ponies.
— Genuinely enjoys the job of looking after whoever's on board. Forgiving, and will help her rider out at the jumps. Understanding, and will teach your child to ride.
Toffee's been treasured in every home she's lived in, right back to where she was bred, and carries an lovely record with her, including winning the Regionals and Reserve Champion at the Sunshine Tour Show Jumping. We're only letting her go because our daughter's ready for more than we want to ask of Toffee now. She's got so much left to give, just at a slightly quieter level, and with a child who'll love her the way ours has.
Toffee is more than just a pony to us. She's part of our family, and finding her the right next home matters enormously. We're taking this seriously and will be vetting new homes carefully. We're also happy to provide references from our Pony Club instructor, who can speak first-hand to the last two years with them, camp, rallies, all of it. Whoever takes her on next will be lucky to have her, and we're happy to answer any questions.
Full veterinary history is available to view. Her hocks were medicated three years ago, and once again since, as routine maintenance rather than any serious sign of lameness, more to manage her age and workload.
No expense has been spared on her care: diet, nutrition, physio and farrier work are all kept up properly, she's on a joint supplement, up to date with vaccinations, teeth and feet, and her tack is professionally fitted to her.
She's historically show jumped 70–80cm and gone cross-country around 70/80cm.
At 16 we'd like her competition jumping kept around 60 going forward. She's still very happy schooling at 70cm, we just don't want that to be her regular competition workload.
