Providence Premier AES is a beautifully bred young gelding, combining the exceptional bloodlines of Pankake, Kannan and Heartbreaker — three generations of breeding synonymous with producing top-level international showjumpers.
Rising 4, Providence has been professionally started and is currently just professionally broken. He has been exceptionally well handled throughout his upbringing and is being offered for sale directly from me, his owner.
He has lovely movement, enormous presence and a confident, curious attitude. He is an intelligent young horse with the athleticism, quality and presence to make a very exciting prospect for an experienced rider looking to produce a horse for the future.
A very special horse to our family
We are a small, non-professional family who bought Providence as a future horse for our teenage daughter. Unfortunately, he clearly never received the memo about when to stop growing!
What started out as a horse for our daughter has developed into something rather spectacular. Despite knowing that he would eventually outgrow our original plans for him, we have continued to raise him with exactly the same love, investment and attention that we would have given our ‘forever horse’.
Our priority has always been to give him the best possible start in life — good handling, education, care and consistency throughout those important formative years.
He has grown into a truly magnificent horse: kind, curious, affectionate and full of character.
And, rather unexpectedly, very, very large!
Providence now stands approximately 17.3–18hh and has the presence and power that comes with being such a substantial young horse. He is very aware of his size and can be particularly assertive around food, so his next home must have an experienced, knowledgeable and confident handler who understands young horses of this size and will continue his education with clear, consistent and positive boundaries.
He is a gentle giant, but he is still a young horse learning about the world, and his size means that experienced handling is essential.
The right home is extremely important to us
We will not be selling Providence to just anyone. This is precisely why he is being offered privately rather than placed with a sales yard or auction.
We are prepared to wait for the right person and the right home.
We are looking for someone with the experience, confidence and facilities to continue developing such a large, talented young horse and, ultimately, to realise the enormous potential that we believe he has.
In an ideal world, we would love to stay in touch and receive the occasional update from his new owners. We have invested a huge amount of time, care and love into this horse, and although it is difficult to let him go, there is something incredibly exciting about imagining what his future could hold.
We genuinely cannot wait to see the day when Providence is a fully established ridden horse — we just wish we could be the ones to experience that journey with him.

* Has travelled comfortably on a horse lorry
* Due to his exceptional size and limited experience of long-distance travel, we do not feel a conventional trailer would be appropriate for him. A suitable horse lorry would be preferable.

If you are looking for a seriously exciting young horse with exceptional breeding, size, athleticism and the potential to go a very long way, Providence deserves your attention.
He is not a horse for a novice, nor is he a straightforward ‘turn up and ride’ youngster. He is a supersized young horse who will need an experienced person capable of handling his size, strength and youthful exuberance, particularly around food.
